This study is based on the existence of learning activities that are less responsive to various individual characteristics. To meet these demands, teachers need to understand students' characteristic. If the teacher in delivering the lesson material less attention to the characteristics of the students and the personality traits of students is not used as a foothold in learning, students will have difficulty understanding the subject matter. Whatever efforts are chosen and performed by the teacher and the lesson designer if they are not based on individual characteristics of the student as subject of learning, then the developed learning will not be meaningful for the students. Characteristics of students is very important to know by educators, because it is very important to be a reference in formulating learning strategies. Learning strategy is developed by teachers and implemented through learning methods to the students so that the learning objectives can be achieved effectively and efficiently. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach and data collection techniques used are interview, observation, and documentation in SDN Cikokol 2.

Learning that does not pay attention to individual differences in children and is based on the wishes of the teacher, will be challenging to be able to lead students towards the achievement of learning goals. One application rather than active learning is the Question Students Have strategy (questions from students). This study aims to find out and understand the forms, steps, strengths, and weaknesses of the Question Student Have (QSH) learning strategy, as well as how the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) is modeled in Fiqh subjects in MTs Negeri 9 Bantul. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the form of the Question Student Have strategy teachers stimulated students to learn firsthand the learning material materials that would be delivered within a specific time. After that, students are invited to submit questions from material that they do not understand nor understand. Steps to make the Question Student Have strategy more effective then allocate time for each session after that if the class is too large so that there is not enough time to distribute the paper to all students, divide the class into groups and follow the instructions as above. This Question Student Have a strategy that can attract and focus the student's attention even though the classroom situation was complicated before or students had a joking habit during the lesson. However, not all students were comfortable with making questions because the level of students' abilities in the class was different. In the future, a teacher must continue to look for and formulate strategies that can embrace all differences held by students. Abstract Purpose Accurate segmentation of brain resection cavities (RCs) aids in postoperative analysis and determining follow-up treatment. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are the state-of-the-art image segmentation technique, but require large annotated datasets for training. Annotation of 3D medical images is time-consuming, requires highly trained raters and may suffer from high inter-rater variability. Self-supervised learning strategies can leverage unlabeled data for training. Methods We developed an algorithm to simulate resections from preoperative magnetic resonance images (MRIs). We performed self-supervised training of a 3D CNN for RC segmentation using our simulation method. We curated EPISURG, a dataset comprising 430 postoperative and 268 preoperative MRIs from 430 refractory epilepsy patients who underwent resective neurosurgery. We fine-tuned our model on three small annotated datasets from different institutions and on the annotated images in EPISURG, comprising 20, 33, 19 and 133 subjects. Results The model trained on data with simulated resections obtained median (interquartile range) Dice score coefficients (DSCs) of 81.7 (16.4), 82.4 (36.4), 74.9 (24.2) and 80.5 (18.7) for each of the four datasets. After fine-tuning, DSCs were 89.2 (13.3), 84.1 (19.8), 80.2 (20.1) and 85.2 (10.8). For comparison, inter-rater agreement between human annotators from our previous study was 84.0 (9.9). Conclusion We present a self-supervised learning strategy for 3D CNNs using simulated RCs to accurately segment real RCs on postoperative MRI. Our method generalizes well to data from different institutions, pathologies and modalities. Source code, segmentation models and the EPISURG dataset are available at https://github.com/fepegar/resseg-ijcars.

This study aimed to describe the world’s view and cultural values conceptualized by the community of Sasak on pemaliq words of human death. Non-participatory observation and in-depth interview methods were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. It applied Miles and Huberman analysis model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that pemaliq words of human death used by the Sasak community in Sigar Penjalin Village, North Lombok Regency, Indonesia, reflected the perspective of the ancestors in understanding the nature of death. It means those who experience death are the physical matters, while the human spirits keep on living and they are in a holy place, namely in alam alus (subtle world). The Sasak community of Sigar Penjalin Village forbid the use of matѐ ‘died’ as a word for human death, not only it is considered impolite, but it is believed in bringing tulah manuh ‘misfortune’ to those who are using that particular word. Therefore, the ancestors of the Sasak community in Sigar Penjalin Village is in practice of using certain words as a way of avoidance, namely the word adѐq ‘nonexistence’, ngѐnangang ‘leaving’, and ulѐq ‘returning home’ (euphemistic words), in which all are used to represent the word matѐ ‘died’. Cultural values reflected in the use of those words, namely the values of religiosity, consciousness, and politeness.
