This study on the interactional experience of people who have visual impairments or disabilities in using Go-jek and GrabAndroid applications employs usability testing using mixed approach. It is an explanatory sequential design research;quantitative data were measured in time, number of errors, Single Ease Question (SEQ) questionnaire score and SystemUsability Scale (SUS) score. They were used to evaluate the usability level of the application, and finger mapping dataand participant comments were used to find more specific problems in the design or look for user patterns. Usabilityevaluation was carried out on 6 sub-applications from Go-jek and Grab companies. Good grouping of visual elementsand the completion of a small task makes usability perceptions increase. Yet, the design problems that make usabilityperception decrease are touch targets that are too small in size, bad visual element grouping, too many items in one page, and unfamiliar operational gestures. This research has also found that high usability score is not always determinedby visual elements. Navigation behavior has an important role in making good usability perception in users with visualimpairment. A problematic visual design could be considered a problem in one navigation method, but not in another.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of visual element and technology supported teaching upon perceived instructor behaviors by pre-service teachers. In accordance with this purpose, whereas the lessons were lectured without benefiting from visual elements and technology in a traditional way with the students included in the control group, in the experimental group, the lessons were lectured using visual elements and technology (PowerPoint, video, etc.) with the pre-service teachers included. In this research that was carried out using an experimental method, “Perceived Instructor Behaviors Scale” developed by Kara, İzci, Köksalan and Zelyurt (2015) was used as pre-application and post-application. According to the findings, visual elements and technology-assisted teaching caused pre-service teachers to perceive their instructors as calmer, more adequate and authoritative. When the probable negative effects of an authoritative instructor upon the students were considered, should sufficient and calm perception of the instructor be supported or should calmness and sufficiency of the instructor be preferred by avoiding technology-assisted teaching which makes the teaching process mechanic?

Lampung has many traditional and distinct motifs, one of which is “Pucuk Rebung” and “Kapal”. Both of these motifs are visual elements that we can find on Lampung's weaving, Tapis. As time goes by, these traditional motifs had undergone a shift in terms of production technique, application, and public perception of the motifs. This traditional motif has been developed by creative industries such as several distro in Lampung and applied to fashion products, ranging from accessories, t-shirts, and so on. Research shows a change in traditional motifs (Pucuk Rebung and Kapal), especially on composition and application of motifs, and not on the main visual elements itself. This certainly shifts the visual perceptions of Lampung youth towards the traditional motifs. Research on Lampung youths visual perceptions of traditional motifs will help designers to innovate, especially in utilizing Lampung's distinctive motifs. Research shows that traditional motifs score slightly higher than the new motifs. traditional motifs (both Pucuk Rebung and Kapal) are considered more dynamic, more elegant, (giving) more (sense of) proud, more meaningful, and better.

Analysis of water regime of Patos-PB through Rainfall Anomaly Index (RAI)

Abstract: Drought is a natural phenomenon that humans can't prevent that from occurring. In this sense, this research aims to analyze the behavior of the water regime of the first five months of the year in the city of Patos, Paraíba interior, in the period from 1994 to 2009 using the IAC. For the development of research, conducted a survey of 15-year rainfall obtained on the website of the Executive Agency for the management of Waters of Paraíba (EASA) of 1994 to 2009. The data were provided in Excel spreadsheet with daily, monthly and annual information and finally was analyzed the behavior of precipitation through the rain Anomaly index (IAC), which is quite simple and is employed to evaluate the dry or humid periods. By the study noted that only 2009 presented a month (April), as extremely moist and the remaining years were classified as humid, wet and dry. The driest year was 1998 that presented negative anomalies from February to may, followed by 1999 with negative anomalies in February and April of the rainy season. The results one realizes that the main rains that occur in the region studied falls on the earth so poorly distributed and irregular, and the rainfall in the region, compared with other arid regions of planets, the semi-arid region Brazil is one of the more it rains all over the world, making it clear that the lack of water in the Northeast are due to the characteristics of the rains. One realizes that only 2009 presented month had as extremely moist and this is not characteristic of the region, and especially the stabilization models of the atmosphere for weather events that caused the rains outside the rainy season of Ducks.
