Science is learned by bringing real objects in daily life into the classroom. Therefore, the props are needed in learning science to make it easier for students to observe the concepts of science contained in an object. However, not all schools have good props to use in learning. This dedication to society aims to provide props that can be used as a medium of physics learning at SMA YPK Merauke. The props are accompanied by bilingual guides so that students can learn physics and English at the same time. The devotional activities were carried out through the introduction of props to physics teachers, demonstrations on how to use bilingual tools and guides, and mentoring. At the end of the activity, physics teachers were given a user response sheet to find out the teachers' perception of the props given. The results of the user response sheet show that the props can be appropriately used as a learning medium. Then, more props are needed to be given to schools in Merauke that do not have good props.

Peer review is widely-used in EFL writing classes, and it has been found that students hold generally positive attitudes towards both providing and receiving peer feedback. However, while it is common for teachers to utilize peer response worksheets, little research has looked at the impact that the specific style of these sheets can have on how language learners conduct peer review and their attitudes towards it. In this study, participants first used a generic peer response sheet designed by the teacher (teacher-directed peer review), then an individualized peer response sheet that each learner had created, focusing on specific points that they wanted advice on (author-directed peer review). Surveys were conducted after each peer review session, and the data revealed that the two peer review styles prompted peer reviewers to give different types of feedback, with a greater focus on surface level issues during author-directed peer review. Furthermore, although all students agreed that both styles had been useful, 60% stated a preference for the author-directed style.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to describe a modified nominal group technique (mNGT) approach to assess community health priorities and its application to a childhood obesity prevention project conducted with the high school population. Methods: This manuscript provides detailed information of a mNGT separately conducted with 3 cohorts, (students, teachers/administration, parents). Participants used a response sheet to brainstorm, document top 5 responses, and rank each response individually. We also used a unique reverse scoring method to quantify the qualitative data and within and between group scores for comparison against other cohorts. Summaries provided additional insight into the participants' perceptions. Results: The mNGT process successfully reduced limitations common to the traditional nominal group technique by providing an in-depth understanding of perceptions and understanding priorities. Conclusions: mNGT can be useful across other disciplines as a method of gathering rich qualitative feedback that can be transformed into a more quantitative form for analysis.
