The curriculum is the core subject of education. Oliva mentioned "curriculum that is thought" (what), in the form of programs, plans, materials to be taught (content). Meanwhile, the meaning of learning (instruction) is more of "means used to teach that which is thought" (how), in the form of methods, teaching strategies, teaching approaches, implementation of learning in class and outside the classroom. Once the importance of curriculum management as the main management substance in schools, the basic principles of curriculum management emphasize that the learning process can run well, by measuring the achievement of goals by students and encouraging teachers to develop and continuously perfect learning strategies carried out in class. The curriculum plays an important role in realizing quality and quality schools, to create a quality curriculum, empowerment in curriculum management is needed. Management of the institutional-level curriculum needs to be coordinated by the leadership which is developed integrally in the context of School-Based Management and the Education Unit Level Curriculum and is adjusted to the vision and mission of the Educational Institution. The SDI Mohammad Hatta curriculum is intended for all school members, especially students, educators and education personnel, the formation of school culture can be carried out by schools through a series of planning activities, implementation of learning that is more student-oriented, comprehensive assessment of school-level planning in essence is strengthening the preparation at SDI Mohammad Hatta level, such as establishing a vision, mission, goals, curriculum structure, academy calendar and syllabus preparation. This type of qualitative research uses descriptive research methods. The purpose of this study was to describe the curriculum management at SDI Mohammad Hatta and to describe how the education unit level curriculum was before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the leadership competencies of first-line nurse managers (FLNMs) at the unit level in the eastern region of Ghana. Design/methodology/approach The paper is a quantitative cross-section design. Findings Nurse managers exhibited a moderate level of knowledge and ability to apply leadership competencies. Gender, rank, qualification, professional experience, management experience and management training jointly predicted the leadership competencies of FLNMs [(R2 = 0.158, p = 0.016]. However, only management training was a significant predictor in the model. Practical implications Inappropriate leadership competencies have severe consequences for patients and staff outcomes. This situation necessitates a call for a well-structured program for the appointment of FLNMs based on competencies. Originality/value This study is the first in Ghana which we are aware of that examined the leadership competencies at the unit level that identifies predictors of leadership competencies.

Education is the foundation of a country's progress. In this case, education has a very important role to improve the quality of human resources to support and meet personal needs or even the needs of a country. Education will run well and structured if there is a directed education system. One of them in the education system is the curriculum as an implementer and reference in the movement of education. Indonesia itself currently uses the 2013 curriculum as its educational curriculum. The 2013 curriculum replaces the old curriculum, namely KTSP (Education Unit Level Curriculum) or the 2006 curriculum. It is necessary to analyze the 2013 curriculum in order to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the 2013 curriculum. Because the curriculum will continue to evolve with the times. This 2013 curriculum analysis uses a qualitative approach research method with interview and observation instruments to convey experiences. The results of this study are expected to be used as study material for students, schools, and academics.

Wireless sensor network simulation programs provide representation for an actual system, without needing to deploy real testbed which is highly constrained by the available budget, and the direct operations inside physical layer in most of these programs are hidden and work implicitly. This is what motivated us to build a kernel for a virtual simulation platform to be able to simulate protocol operations and algorithms at the node processing unit level, The proposed system aims to observe the execution of operations at the low level of the wireless sensor physical infrastructure with the ability to modify at this level. That give the improvers of wireless sensor nodes the ability to test their ideas without needing to use physical environment. We have built the functionality operations which are related to the platform kernel at several stages. We defined (as a first step) the essential operations inside a virtual microprocessor that uses a partial set pf MIPS instructions, and built the kernel of minimized virtual WSN simulator depending on the proposed microprocessor, that means we can add any number of nodes inside the GUI of the WSN simulator kernel, and these nodes use the proposed virtual microprocessor . Then we improved this platform by adding the instruction set of a real microprocessor that is used in wireless sensor network nodes. Finally, (and to ease and simplify the interaction operation between program GUI of the platform kernel and the user), we have built simplified compiler that allows user to deal with microprocessor GUI inside each node, and to clarify protocol and algorithm operations by a set of orders and functions without needing to deal with low level language (Assembly language) in a direct way. The simulation results have presented high flexibility and performance to this platform in observing the operation sequence inside wireless sensor nodes at assembly level, in addition to focus on some parameters that are related to microprocessor inside each node.

This study examines the impact of work unit-level perceived Tightness vs. Looseness (T-L) culture on individual-level perceived stress, intention to leave, organizational deviance, job satisfaction, effort investment, and organizational commitment. Using quantitative cross-sectional data (N=417) collected from preexisting work units (N=57) in different organizations in Italy, multilevel analysis results revealed that a perceived cultural tightness at the unit level was significantly and positively related to individual-level job satisfaction, effort investment, and organizational commitment and significantly and negatively related to individual-level stress, intention to leave, and organizational deviance. The findings suggest that organizations should promote a culture of tightness to positively influence employee attitudes and behaviors. Limitations and recommendations for future research are discussed.

Introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) has resulted in harmonisation of tax compliance system in India. In the new tax regime, tax compliance system has completely moved to online (digital) platforms. Given the inequality in access to digital platform or adoption of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) among marginal, small and medium enterprises in India, tax compliance may not improve in the GST regime. In a developing country like India where majority of unincorporated enterprises are in the informal sector, staying outside the formal network may restrict their economic prospects. It is worthwhile to study the relationship between access to ICT and tax (VAT) registration among unincorporated enterprises in India. Based on unit-level data of the 73rd round NSS survey, this study explores factors influencing the decision of unincorporated enterprises to take VAT/Sales Tax registration across the Indian states. The results show that adoption of ICT in terms of using internet and computers positively influence tax registration. Policy suggestions of the study may help to expand the tax base of GST by bringing informal enterprises under the tax net.

Strip mapping for unit level traceability on die attach process of semiconductor companies provide quality driven impression for end users on the market. On processing of Micro electromechanical system packages, strip map generated by operators manually, certain errors and discrepancies are encountered and inevitably experienced by the production line. This causes misleading analysis on manufacturing problems and may lead to inappropriate and incorrect solutions hurting the process line. The application of modern technology and internet of things have been considered as an improvement. This is to eliminate human intervention errors caused by manual practice and promoted fool proof design of procedures. Having a user-friendly application with integration of modern technology drives significant improvement provide benefits to both supplier and customer of the manufacturing world.

PurposeEmployee recognition programs are ubiquitous, and recognition is a multibillion-dollar industry. Yet, very little research has tested the utility of recognition-based interventions. The purpose of this paper was to examine the impact of managerial training for employee recognition on the occurrence of recognition and unit-level performance.Design/methodology/approachThe design was a quasi-experimental field study of branches within a financial services company. Differences between a recognition training group and a no-training control group were examined using objective unit-level performance and recognition data before and after the training intervention.FindingsResults indicated that the training program led to more recognition and improved unit performance compared to control.Research limitations/implicationsThe sample size was small, but the research demonstrates that managerial recognition training is effective.Practical implicationsThis research establishes the effectiveness of recognition training and describes its effects on important business outcomes, supporting the notion that recognition programs may be a worthwhile investment for organizations.Originality/valueThis study is one of the first to demonstrate the benefit of training managers on effective recognition practices on recognition behavior and unit performance.
