Pamali is one of the rules in society that is socialized and taught by parents to children in the form of prohibitions accompanied by threats with the intention of making it a control over children's behavior. Every parent's advice certainly has a good intention, but often the prohibitions that are collected in the pamali category are difficult to understand and even there is no relevance between cause and effect if violated. However, this tradition is able to intervene and influence the logical thinking ability of adolescents in Banjar society. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects included some students of SMA Global Islamic Boarding School. The technique used in retrieval of information is purposive sampling, namely by taking research subjects who meet the following criteria: 1) students who are familiar with the term pamali, 2) students born in the Banjar community, 3) students who are included in the category of having a high and low logical mindset. The results showed that the pamali tradition as folklore has a vital role in influencing the logical thinking patterns of adolescents. This is shown by their fear which is more dominant than their belief in the pamali tradition. Teenagers who believe in the pamali tradition tend to have an excessive fear of the consequences that do contain a lot of bad luck in it. Adolescents who have low logical thinking skills tend to believe in the pamali tradition. Then when compared to teenagers who have good logical thinking skills, they tend to be better able to filter the impact of the pamali tradition.

Nell experiences a spiritual crisis. She worries her faith is not complete, reasoning that if she had more faith, she would not fear the unknown of death. The importance of faith and of receiving the Sacrament of Confession and the ritual of anointing the senses is affirmed. Through her brother John’s dream of reuniting, she finally feels what it is like to “go home,” to return to feelings of family, even when those feelings include the recollection of violence, which Nell wisely sees as preparation for death. She is letting go of her family and friends by setting boundaries and closing down phone calls and emails. Holding on and letting go, a fundamental rhythm of life, is shifting toward release. Nell’s dear friend Mary sends her a heartfelt message in a beautiful greeting card where she articulates the painful process of letting go and her hope of their reunion in the next world. When loving family members or friends try to express empathy with cancer patients, it often seems like pity, which irritates rather than comforts. In this peculiar dynamic, the patient experiences the caregiver’s good intention as overly solicitous. Hollow compassion creates distance, not closeness.

The reason for imposing incarceration is to punish offenders for violating societal norms and values. As a means of punishment, it is deliberately inflicted on an offender, which serves as a deterrence to would-be offenders. This could help in inculcating good morals on offenders, thereby altering him or her from a nonconforming individual to a conforming one. Despite the good intention of imposing incarceration, it has contradicted its cardinal objective which has resulted in some unintended consequences such as inability to secure employment as a result of stigmatization, aiding the collapse of marriages among others. With the above-stated consequences of incarceration, penal institutions instead of instilling the positive goal of incarceration on inmates, on the contrary, it has served as a punishment ground with degrading treatment imposed on inmates by correctional officials coupled with the dehumanizing state of most penal institutions. This article concludes that incarceration has a long term effect on the positive life of offenders and recommends that concerted efforts should be made in reintegrating ex-offenders, discouraging the idea of tagging, and make ample efforts on how ex-offenders can secure payable jobs upon regaining freedom.

Major results from the empirical studies conducted earlier suggest that there exist three types of citizenship in Myanmar while this study has found that there are four types of citizenship prevails in Myanmar. After the research process has been carried out, In practice, the fiduciary security must first be registered at the fiduciary security office, which Bank BNI Syariah represents to a notary. If there is a debtor default at Bank BNI Syariah, it will be resolved by sharia principles, namely by providing guidance and visits to the debtor. If there is still no good intention from the debtor to carry out their obligations then Bank BNI Syariah will execute objects bound by fiduciary by legal process. The conclusion is that the implementation of the fiduciary guarantee policy at the Bank BNI Syariah Probolinggo Branch Office must use a fiduciary binding as long as the murabahah object is a moving object.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine whether users’ perceived moral affect explains the effect of perceived intensity of emotional distress on responsibility judgment of a perpetrator and company, respectively, in an ill and good intention breach. Design/methodology/approach Participants completed a questionnaire containing items measuring their perceived intensity of emotional distress, perceived moral affect and responsibility judgment of a perpetrator and company, respectively. Findings The results support the mediating hypothesis on responsibility judgment of a perpetrator regardless of intention. The mediating hypothesis is also supported in an ill intention breach in responsibility judgment of a company. However, the mediating effect is not observed in a good intention breach when users assess a company’s responsibility. Originality/value The findings support the notion that users use the consequentialism approach when assessing a perpetrator’s responsibility because they focus on the victims’ emotional distress and discount a perpetrator’s intent, resulting in similar mediating effect of perceived moral affect in an ill and good intention breach. The results also indicate that perceived moral affect increases the negative effect of perceived intensity of emotional distress on responsibility judgment of a company, suggesting that users may exhibit empathetic feelings toward a company and perceive it as a victim of an ill intention breach. The lack of mediating effect in responsibility judgment of a company in a good intention breach may be attributed to the diminished effect of a perpetrator’s feelings of regret, sorrow, guilt and shame for causing emotional distress to the victims.

Extradition is known as the process of sending a person who is a defendant or convict who has fled abroad to avoid punishment or trial proceedings. Extradition can be carried out on the basis that the two countries already have previous extradition treaties or based on the principle of reciprocity. It is not uncommon for a country to refuse to hand over a defendant to the applicant's country for various reasons. For example in the case of Maria Lumowa, a fugitive in the bank burglary case for 17 years who was finally extradited back to Indonesia from Serbia. The two countries have never previously entered into an extradition treaty. However, Serbia has a good intention to extradite Maria based on the historical closeness of the two countries' longstanding bilateral relations, as well as remuneration to Indonesia for granting Serbia's extradition request against the perpetrator of theft of customer data in 2015. It can be seen that extradition is not always about having an agreement in order to work, but also seeing the goodwill of the requested country.
