Aim of study: To analyze the structure of Puccinia hordei populations by virulence in southern Russia during 2017-2019. Area of study: South of Russia, the leading Russian region for barley production where barley leaf rust is an important foliar disease. Material and methods: Uredinial samples of P. hordei were collected at the production sites of winter barley in the south of Russia. Single uredinial isolates (total 95) were tested for virulence with 17 differentials with Rph resistance genes. Main results: No isolates found virulent to the host line with the Rph13 gene. There was a decrease in the number of fungal isolates virulent to the host lines with Rph5 and Rph7 genes. In 2017 and 2019, isolates containing a large number of virulence alleles (from 11 to 15) prevailed. In 2018, isolates with low (1-5) and medium (6-10) frequency of virulent alleles prevailed, as well as avirulent isolates. The values of the Nei index via diversity showed high similarity of the pathogen populations in 2017-2018 (N = 0.05) and minor differences in 2017-2019 and 2018-2019 (N = 0.13 and 0.16, respectively). The greatest frequency of virulence alleles in accordance with the Nei (Hs) index was noted for the 2018 population (Hs = 0.36). For the 2017 and 2019 populations, this indicator was average (Hs = 0.29 and 0.20, respectively). Research highlights: Analysis of genetics of the P. hopdei population is important for the strategy of varietal distribution in the region and development of rust-resistant cultivars.

The purpose of this article is to identify the relationship between precarious work and the change of job by residents of the Russian region. Such factors, as work conditions, qualification and educational mobility, economic conditions and confidence in the future influence the change a job. Sociological survey of the population of the Republic of Bashkortostan is the empirical basis of this article. The sample includes three main groups by labor status: employees, unemployed, and self-employed. The sample size is 1 566 people. Unemployed local residents changed their jobs more often than the other groups. This is because many of them regularly change or lose their jobs. Hired workers more often than the other groups moved up and down the career ladder, and changed their field of activity, which is associated with their activity and the instability of working conditions. Self-employed and individual entrepreneurs without employees show weak mobility in the labor market, because they work mainly for themselves. Respondents, who work in private sector, self-employed, have short work experience and temporary employment contract, are highly likely to change their jobs. If respondents satisfied with their income level, have official salary and do not have credit debts, then they will probably not change jobs. Respondents, who want to raise their level of education, improve their qualifications and work in a field of their specialty, tend to change their jobs.

Adolescent depression is an increasingly important problem in modern society. One of the key determinants of adolescent depression is parental involvement. It has been established that parental involvement and high-quality parent-child relationships play a protective role in psychosocial well-being of children while parental neglect and abuse are risk factors for depression. However, different forms of parental involvement might have different effects on children’s psychological well-being. In particular, some kinds of parental control may have adverse effects. In this paper, we study the association between parental control and positive parental involvement with depression using survey data of middle and high school students from a Russian region (N = 1364). We find that, independently, all forms of parental involvement are negatively associated with depression. However, only positive involvement is a protective factor against depression, while parental control is not associated with depression after controlling for the other forms of parental involvement. These results could be used in developing prevention and education programs for parents.

The article deals with the problems of financing the agro-industrial complex of the region. A critical assessment of the current model of state support for agricultural organisations is given. It was revealed that when deciding on the allocation of subsidies, the region is guided exclusively by production indicators and does not assess the impact of subsidies on the financial condition of agricultural producers in the future. It is proposed that the assessment of the effectiveness of the provision of subsidies be supplemented in regional state programs for the development of agriculture by comparing the volumes of loans issued and the added value created for a certain period. A universal model of financing the agro-industrial complex of the Russian region has been developed, which makes it possible to choose the most effective option for the distribution of budgetary financing of agricultural organizations in a particular region.

Abstract The article is devoted to the generalization and systematization of theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of assessing the economic security of a regional intersectoral complex. The object of the study is the forest sector as a set of traditional industries and types of economic activity of a separate Russian region united by consistent technological, production, and financial links in the use and reproduction of forest resources. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was the analysis of scientific works of Russian and foreign scientists devoted to the study of economic security and methodological support for its assessment, modeling of the forest sector, and forest management. The research used methods of multidimensional comparative analysis, as well as traditional methods of processing statistical information. The result of the study is the development of a methodology for rating the economic security of a regional industrial complex and its practical testing in relation to the forest sector of the economy of the subjects of the Ural Federal District. The proposed methodology is universal and, provided that the key provisions are preserved, can be used to assess the economic security of other socio-economic systems.

Aim. As part of a pilot study, to investigate the potential significance of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in assessing the risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in general population aged 35-64 years of one of the regions from the ESSE-RF study.Material and methods. The study is based on the ESSE-RF observational prospective study using a sample from one Russian region. The analysis included socio-demographic variables, risk factors, history of CVD. The cTnI level was measured from November to December 2021 in serum samples stored at -70° C using high sensitivity chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay using Architect Stat High Sensitivity Troponin I (Abbott) reagents on an Architect i2000SR immunoassay analyzer (Abbott, Abbot Park IL USA). The endpoints were hard (cardiovascular death and myocardial infarction) and composite endpoints (cardiovascular death, new cases of myocardial infarction, stroke, coronary artery disease and revascularization). The median follow-up was 5,5 years. In total, the analysis included 1120 people aged 35-64 years.Results. Analysis of the associations between Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation (SCORE) and cTnI showed a significant difference in risk stratification for these two parameters. In women from cTnI-related high-risk category for cardiovascular events (CVE), there were no endpoints at all. In men of moderate and high risk, the proportion of endpoints increases with increasing cTnI-related risk. The survival curves corresponding to first 3 quintiles of cTnI risk distribution did not diverge, and, therefore, the number of CVEs in these groups did not differ. At the same time, the curves corresponding to 4th and 5th quintiles significantly differed from the first 3 quintiles, which indicates a higher CVE risk in subjects from these groups (p<0,001). Considering that there were only 3 endpoints in cTnI-related high-risk group, a survival analysis was performed for low-risk versus moderate-high risk. The curves obtained diverge significantly (p=0.006). Cox proportional hazards models were analyzed to assess the relationship between the cTnI level and endpoints. It was shown that cTnI itself or its logarithm is significantly associated with hard and composite endpoints. The cTnI cut-off point of 12/10 pg/ml (males/females) was associated with hard endpoint, and 6/4 pg/ml — with composite one. It should be noted that the recommended cut-off point of 6/4 pg/ml is close to the upper quartile of cTnI distribution in the European population. For the Russian population, the upper quartile corresponds to cTnI level of 3,5/2,1 pg/ml, which indicates the need to reduce the critical cTnI values in Russia. To assess risk reclassification, Cox models were analyzed using the Net Reclassification Index (NRI), as well as NRIsurvival for survival analysis. For categorical variables, the NRIcategorial was used. Both methods of including cTnI in the model significantly improve the risk classification of severe endpoints in men.Conclusion. The results obtained confirm the need to lower the threshold values for predicting combined endpoints, in particular, in Russian men. cTnl has an independent effect on CVE risk and its addition to SCORE improves the prediction of CVEs among men. However, the data obtained are preliminary and require clarification sing larger sample. At the same time, it is obvious that the determination of cТnI level can play a significant role in cardiovascular risk assessment and be an unfavorable prognosis marker among Russian population.

The objective of paper is to assess the time-compressed dynamics of the culture of the ethno-national region of Russia, to identify its regularities and to draw parallels with the stages of European and Russian cultural processes. The article identifies the quality and modernization potential of the current state of ethnic culture, which is under the pressure of assimilation of cultural globalism. The methodology is revealed by the definition of the Renaissance culture as the ability to operate with symbolic forms and the consistent transfer of the well-known properties of the European and Russian Renaissance to the modern ethnic culture of the Russian region as isomorphic processes. The paper identifies the state of regional culture as result of a double reflection of the cultural renaissance, called as the "Yakut Silver Age". The criteria for that is the presence of a creative paradigm of ethnomodernism, manifested in the field of art.
