The Covid-19 pandemic has not only created social fear, but has also affected various aspects of human life, including in the field of economy. To reduce the spread of Covid-19, the government issued a work from home (WFH) policy and study from home. This not only limits the interaction between people, but this condition also causes people to be creative and look for alternatives to earn income. One that has the potential to be done is a digital business, which is not only easy and simple (using gadgets and internet networks), but can also be done anywhere, especially at home because of the "stay at home" policy, so that between looking for income and protecting oneself from spreading virus by staying at home is compatible with each other. This study was conducted between September and December 2020 and is located in the city of Makassar. Makassar was chosen because digital business grew significantly. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the economy in the Eastern part of Indonesia (KTI) grew by an average of 8%, especially during the pandemic. There are seven participants who participated in this study who are varied based on age, occupation. Each informant is a user of one of the digital business platforms, namely VTube, Jempol Preneur, and Goins. The study shows that digital business is one type of business by utilizing digital devices such as gadgets (mobile phones and laptops) and internet networks. Every digital business is now has a digital platform and has its own way of managing, as well as different advantages for its consumers. There are so many platforms that are engaged in digital business because it can be done easily, with a simple way of working, with the promise of a pretty lucrative income, and can be done anywhere. This fits perfectly with the Covid-19 pandemic situation where people stay at home. VTube, Jempol Preneur, and Goins are three applications that each have their own specifications and how they work. Vtube and Goins are digital platforms engaged in advertising, while Jempol Preneur is a platform digital business on online shop. Although there are similarities between the three, that is, making money even though each has its own variant. The income of VTube users depends on what users achieve by watching ads. In the application system of the Jempol Preneur, one must be a member to be able to run an online shop. As members, they not only choose the type and promote the goods that have been provided by the application, but this can also be run without capital (dropship), or with personal capital (reseller). Additional income can also be obtained through the sale of the Jempol Preneur license. The more licenses sold, the more income they can earned. Meanwhile, in Goins, users are supposed to carry out a mission by liking and watching advertising videos on the Instagram application. The more people who are invited to join, the more income is earned. However, despite the advantages that each application has, each has its drawbacks. If Jempol Preneur already has legality, then VTube and Goins are under construction, which shows that the legality of the two is not yet clear and this is related to the basis of the business being run. For this reason, users who have already run this business must be prepared to bear the risks, such as no return of money at all and the lack of clarity from the parties concerned. Another aspect that is considered a drawback of Jempol Preneur is the obligation to pay a registration fee while VTube and Goins do not require it.

This article advances a new approach based on ‘varieties of capital’ to explain gendered upward mobility in political parties. Research on gender political advancement unduly neglects women delegates to national party congresses. Our work seeks to redress the imbalance by drawing on data gathered from 5,122 questionnaires issued to national party delegates at 20 national conventions that took place between 2004 and 2013 in Italy. To analyse the data we develop a new framework based on ‘varieties of capital’. Our approach builds on Bourdieu's three types of personal capital – economic, social and cultural – and interprets the findings borrowing analytical tools from recent feminist institutional theory, especially the concept of homosocial capital. Comparisons of male and female party delegates in terms of background and their political trajectories reveal the persistence of an uneven playing field, with gendered hierarchies in Italian political parties confirming an international pattern.

The emergence of the category of “human capital” against the backdrop of accelerating scientific and technological progress and the increasing interest of scientists in the role and importance of man in the economy was prepared by the previous development of economic theory – the results of studies of such concepts as “productive labor”, “labor force”, “personal capital” , “Labor resources.” The definition of the phenomenon of human capital and a deeper understanding of its purpose, as well as the study of the aspects associated with its use, is impossible without an analysis of its structure with the allocation of education capital as a fundamental component. The formation of human capital is a process of formation, accumulation and use of human capital of individuals in order to obtain the benefits needed to restore the resources of family members and the reproduction of human capital that meets the current requirements of the economy. Traditionally, education helps people adapt to a changing economic environment – it grows people’s cognitive abilities. The economic impact of education depends on how the economy is changing. Having a good education stimulates those for whom it is the norm to invest in their human capital and encourage people to apply their knowledge and skills for specific purposes.

The results showed that the SOP used was the SOP in the simplest form which only had a few activities and decision making. In the production process there are five stages carried out during the production process, namely, preparing raw materials, stirring the dough into a mixer, the process of rolling bread, the process of developing bread and the process of developing the dough ready to bake. Here the raw materials in the form of main raw materials namely wheat flour, capital in the form of owner's personal capital, machines in the form of tools used during the production process and work force are very influential during the production process because workforce is the main actor in the production of bread king. As one of the kingpin bread businesses in Samarinda, it is expected that the staff of the kingpin bread must continue to improve and maintain the quality of the production produced, that is bread kingpin and still maintain the quality of human resources namely labor. The most important thing must not be forgotten is that labor is a very very important factor of production in every production process that should be a benchmark to find out whether the system implemented has been implemented properly.

Abstract Why do some older Americans volunteer while others do not? Personality theory is used to explain volunteering behavior. This study used the Big 5 personality domains. Volunteering is also explained by resource theory, which includes personal, social, and cultural capital. Personal capital was measured by age, sex, race, marital status, health, and education (a proxy for socioeconomic status). Social capital was measured by frequency of email/write interactions and interactions with friends. Cultural capital was measured as church attendance. The purpose was to measure the extent to which social and cultural capital mediates between personality and personal capital, and volunteering outcomes. Participants were the 2010 Core Health and Retirement Study who also completed the leave-behind self-administered questionnaire (N=4,299). Structural equation modeling (SEM) tested personality and resource theory in one model. Exploratory factor analysis, followed by confirmatory factor analysis supported development of the final SEM. Extraversion directly predicted volunteering. Age was inversely correlated with volunteering. Health and education directly predicted volunteering. Church attendance and interactions with friends directly predicted volunteering. Conscientiousness predicted church attendance. Open to new experience was inversely related to church attendance and directly predicted frequency of email/write interactions. Extraversion predicted interactions with friends. Measuring direct, indirect, and total effects of predictors on volunteering showed that personality influences volunteering both directly and indirectly. Future applied research could test whether extraversion, which directly influences interactions with friends, would directly predict recruiting outcomes. It could also test whether open to new experience, which directly influences email/write interactions, would directly predict retention outcomes.
