The objective of this project was to make a recirculating water shower system that creates clean water using natural resources, without the requirement of additional electricity. Due to the use of natural materials, maintenance of the shower will be dramatically reduced. Our shower system filters the used water and integrates it back into the pipes of the shower, to be used again. The filter removes dirt, bacteria, debris, and biodegradable shampoo. It does so with different filtration methods in each part of the filter. As the water moves from top to bottom, the largest to the smallest impurities are removed from the water to ultimately leave it potable. The system purifies the water to below 5 Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU), the recommendation for drinking water by the World Health Organization. Cleaned water is collected and sent back to the shower head by a solar paneled water pump. Our economical shower system has the potential to reduce disease and allow for increased hygiene without wasting water.

The intense laser irradiation of a micro/nano size W sphere sample is considered in the present paper. Like numerical example, we choose a sphere with a radius of 1 µm. The present article’s point consists of approximating that the target’s temperature homogenization time is of the same order of magnitude as the first laser pulse duration. Our model is valid in the radius limits: 10 nm to 10 µm. We consider like heating source a laser beam with YAG/Nd:YAG/ Cr4+:YAG composite crystal. The nature of the interaction between a laser beam and small dimension tungsten (W) sample is of great importance for both theoretical and experimental perspectives. In principle, we have three stages: i) laser- W bulk interaction; ii) plasma formation, heating, and iii) adiabatic expansion. In the present paper, we will focus on the first two stages of laser pulse interval.

The relationship between competition and investment is generally characterized by an inverted-U relationship. The position of these curves and, in particular their maximum, i.e, the degree of competition that maximizes investment, depends on the degree of technical progress that characterizes each industry. Industries experiencing a high degree of technical progress, as information technologies, maximize their investments in innovation for lower degrees of competition than other industries. Sectoral and competition authorities should take this into account for regulation of competition. Information technologies should not be regulated as brick and mortar industries.

For the year 2017, renewable energy in the world through photovoltaic systems constitutes around 21% of the total energy generated through renewable sources. In this work, the impact represented by the proposal of a photovoltaic system connected to the grid in terms of reducing losses was analyzed. In the study, the calculation tools PVSyst and DIgSILENT PowerFactory were used to determine the power generation of the photovoltaic installation. Using the Radial 7.7 tool, the power losses were determined. The energy losses of the line were determined using empirical equations developed in the literature discussed. The commissioning of the installation represents a saving of 397 MWh/year. The impact that the installation represents on the grid is represented by a decrease in electrical energy losses and not in the decrease in power losses.

Detailed studies of uranium heap leaching from different uranium mineralization resources situated in Eastern Desert of Egypt were investigated using sulfuric acid via batch experiments, followed by using the obtained optimum condition on bench scale leaching tests using small column. The previous optimum parameters were implemented on another large scale column in order to make more condition control and evaluate the time and reagents needed while transferring from small to large scale. The obtained data shows that leaching efficiency of GII mineralization attained about 78.3% with consumed acid amount about 34 kg/ton in a 44 days as leaching time, on the other hand, leaching efficiency of uranium from El-Missikat mineralization higher than GII mineralization and attained about 86.6% and the consumed as lower than G-II about 28kg/ton in a 40 days leaching time. Kinetics reaction models of column tests have been investigated to optimize the column leaching behavior. Based on the leaching results of the two mineralized occurrences, the rate of the uranium dissolution is controlled by both the chemical reaction and the diffusion reaction but diffusion reaction control was more predominate than a chemical reaction.

This review showed the biological properties present in mushrooms have been extensively studied. Besides nutritional properties, mushrooms have attracted market attention because they are a potential source of bioactive compounds able to perform several functions in organisms with benefits for consumer health. Nowadays, mushrooms are popular valuable foods because they are low in calories, carbohydrates, fat, and sodium: also, they are cholesterol-free. Besides, mushrooms provide important nutrients, including selenium, potassium, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin D, proteins, and fiber. All together with a long history as food source, mushrooms are important for their healing capacities and properties in traditional medicine. It has reported beneficial effects for health and treatment of some diseases. Many nutraceutical properties are described in mushrooms, such as prevention or treatment of Parkinson, Alzheimer, hypertension, and high risk of stroke. They are also utilized to reduce the likelihood of cancer invasion and metastasis due to antitumoral attributes. Mushrooms act as antibacterial, immune system enhancer and cholesterol lowering agents; additionally, they are important sources of bioactive compounds. As a result of these properties, some mushroom extracts are used to promote human health and are found as dietary supplements

Blockchain technology represents one of the most promising introductions in the technological scenario. Despite the growing interest from both the general public and the scientific community in this regard, there is a lack of strategies capable of guiding, under a technical and managerial perspective, the introduction of blockchain technology within existing business processes. Inspired by the main software engineering methodologies, which currently do not include specific techniques to coexist with blockchain paradigm, in this article, we propose an innovative blockchain implementation framework, which provides for a series of tools and strategies able to exploit the benefits arising from its integration within public administration business models while reducing related risks of introduction. In order to assess the framework operational effectiveness, we also test its application in the development of a blockchain based system allowing the conduct of telematic trial tax in order to make its execution safer, faster and cheaper.

The classical solutions of the first problem of Stokes for viscous fluids, as it was to be expected, are obtained as limiting cases of those of the simple Couette flow. Something similar is valid for the motions of the fluids induced by a constant shear stress on the boundary. As a direct consequence, new exact solutions are immediately obtained for other two classes of motions of the same fluids.

This is an introduction to what is anticipated to be the so called final theory of physics. The theory unifies pure (not applied) mathematics and the modern theoretical physics into a universal system of mathematical harmony. It describes the physical Universe as mathematical machine.

Outdoor air pollution is a leading cause of early death, chronic disease, and disability. Motor vehicles are a major contributor to outdoor air pollution, exposing vulnerable population to especially high levels of harmful emissions in urban areas and near major roadways. Fine particles or particulate matter with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or less (PM 2.5), are among the most harmful vehicle pollutants and are associated with a range of health impacts including cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, lung cancer, and infant mortality.
