This article suggests a deeper insight into the basic trends in Russian economy and national leasing market in view of acute shortage of investment and slumping oil prices. The Russian macroeconomic situation is not favorable for the leasing market development. A key attention is dedicated to leasing market which is a key indicator of the Russian economy. Leasing is looked upon as an effective means of business support and a powerful tool of sustainable development, as well as a way of acquiring credit income and renewing main capital. At this stage of Russian economy development, it is essential to work out the proper order of transactions and the Central Bank suggests that the leasing business should draw amendments to the existing regulations in order to create new control standards for leasing operations. It appears to be critical to enable a lessor to make flexible and effective administrative decisions and enjoy the possibility of managing the risks and profits of leasing transactions. The article also explains the correlations between external and internal economic factors, between financial and operative forms of leasing, between the amount of leasing investments and their contribution to the socio-economic revival of Russia.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore the problems that arise when undertaking a financial investigation that involves tracing assets in foreign jurisdictions. Design/methodology/approach – The paper is based on a secondary analysis of data collected as part of a qualitative study of the role of financial investigation in tackling organised crime. This was based on interviews with investigating officers, financial investigators and Crown Prosecution Service representatives associated with 60 cases. Of the 60 cases, 36 were found to have an international dimension. Findings – The study found a number of problems with undertaking overseas financial investigations. These included problems with the letter of request process, difficulties tracking assets in some countries and problems with tracing funds transferred through money service bureaux. Informal contact on a police-to-police basis was generally considered an effective means of improving the quality of information received. Research limitations/implications – This study is based on just 60 cases of organised crime in which financial investigation was used. The extent to which these findings can be generalised to other cases is unclear. Practical implications – The study highlights the most common obstacles to overseas financial investigation that should be addressed. In addition, the importance of informal contact with overseas police jurisdictions may highlight a means of improving requests for assistance. Originality/value – This paper provides an important insight into the views of operational staff undertaking overseas financial investigations and as such highlights the particular difficulties in this work.

The current challenges and threats undermine economic security of the most production enterprises, primarily as the result of such environmental factors, as sanctions and declining oil prices, which in turn significantly affects the whole Russian economy, heavily dependent on energy resources exports. These external factors also threaten the financial stability and create prerequisites for crisis situations at the enterprises, ultimately undermining their economic security. The paper reveals the close relationship between such concepts, as sustainability and economic security, and shows the role of financial strategy as one of the tools to ensure sustainable development of an enterprise under the mentioned conditions. The research findings are considered through the case study of high-tech enterprises within the defence-industrial complex of this country.

Suicide is an unfortunate multifactorial problem impacting families and communities. Many young lives are lost every year due to suicide. There is an urgent need to understand the multifactorial risk factor mechanisms providing vulnerability to suicidal behavior for early detection of impending incidents, monitoring, and prevention. This review aims to give an insight into the various biochemical and genetic markers along with the associated socio-economic factors and mental disorders which contribute to increased suicide risk. The role of different neurotransmitter-associated pathways such as serotonin, gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA), and norepinephrine pathway, and pathways involving the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, lipid metabolism, and neuroinflammation in suicide ideation and risk have been explored. Understanding of these predisposing factors and associated pathways could help identify the risk and lead to the development of drugs/ treatment to prevent suicides.

In connection with the environmental problems that have become more acute at the global level, it has been recognized the need for society to take the path of sustainable development, the main principles of which are focused on a decent standard of living for each member of society, reducing the anthropogenic burden on nature and preserving the environment, including for future generations, as well as the integrated solution of environmental, social and economic issues at the global and local levels. In the process of implementing this concept, a fundamental role of culture was revealed, and a specific role of environmental culture as well, which would ensure a harmonious development of the society and the environment. In particular, it is necessary to transform the worldview, re-evaluate the values and shift the emphasis in consumption from material benefits to spiritual ones. This research is relevant because of the need to promote the principles of sustainable development in all areas of society that determine the current level of culture and civilization. This work is aimed at analyzing the potential of dance art as a source of indirect influence on the environmental consciousness and thought, reasonable attitude to nature during the environmental culture formation.Environmental culture is expressed in people’s perception of themselves as a part of nature. One of the elements of environmental culture is environmental consciousness. Having the ability to influence the emotional sphere of a person, art, in particular dance, is a useful tool for effectively perceiving environmental information and motivating environmental activities. Due to its polyfunctionality, art can aid to form the environmental identity at the level of the following components: cognitive (informational, gnostical, educational function), emotional (compensatory, suggestive one), instrumental (social-transforming function).Based on the analysis of scientific literature and some musical and choreographic works from the standpoint of the ecocentric paradigm, the article suggests that choreography in environmentally oriented performances can serve as one of the effective means of evoking empathy at the deep kinesthetic level, environmental empathy. Choreography can play the role of an emotional component in the process of forming environmental identity, which will in general contribute to the environmental consciousness formation at the individual level.
