This study aimed to determine the level of vocabulary skills of Grade 9 students of Botolan National High. This was identified by using the DepEd E-class Record transmutation table and descriptive rating. The study which used descriptive analysis research was also utilized to know the level of vocabulary of 155 Grade 9 respondents of Botolan National High School SY 2019- 2020. Results and findings of the study led to the development of the supplementary instructional materials to enhance the level of vocabulary of Grade 9 students. The findings revealed that the level of vocabulary skills of the students before exposure to context clues was Fairly Satisfactory, while the level of the vocabulary skills of the students after exposure to context clues was Satisfactory. The level of vocabulary skills of the students before exposure to visual association was Fairly Satisfactory while the level of the vocabulary skills of the students after exposure to visual association was also Fairly Satisfactory. There was significant relationship on the level of vocabulary skills of the students before and after exposure to context clue and visual association strategies. It is recommended therefore that appropriate supplementary instructional materials be devised and utilized in order to enhance the level of vocabulary skills of Grade 9 students.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran matematika untuk SMP kelas VII semester genap dengan pendekatan saintifik yang meliputi RPP, LKS, dan instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan Four-D yang meliputi empat tahap yaitu: (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, dan (4) penyebaran. Tidak semua produk dilakukan uji pengembangan. Uji pengembangan produk hanya dilakukan pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu vaiabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk yang telah dilakukan uji pengembangan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Produk memenuhi kriteria valid berdasarkan persentase penilaian ahli mencapai 100%. Produk memenuhi kriteria praktis berdasarkan penilaian guru dan siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, serta berdasarkan hasil observasi keterlaksaan pembelajaran. Produk memenuhi kriteria efektif berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa pada kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM untuk kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan melebihi 75%.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan saintifik Developing Mathematics Instructional Materials for 7th Grade Students of Junior High School in Second Semester Based on the Scientific Approach AbstractThe aim of this study is to produce mathematics instructional materials for 7th grade students of junior high school in their second semester based on the scientific approach including lesson plans, student’s worksheets, and assessment instrument of learning achievement that fulfill the quality criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research was a development study using the Four-D development model with four steps: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. Development test was not done for all products. Development testing of product was done only for linear equality and inequality with one variable. The result of the study shows that the product which has done development test is valid, practical, and effective. The product fulfills the validity criterion. It is shown by the percentage of experts’ appraisal which reaches 100% that belongs to a valid category. The product fulfills the practicality criterion based on teacher and student assesment to the instructional material that is in a very good category. The product also fulfills the practicality criterion based on the percentage of teaching implementation. The percentage of teaching implementation exceeded 90%. The product fulfills the effectiveness criterion based on student learning achievement in attitude, knowledge, and skill competency. The percentage of students that achieve minimum mastery criteria for attitude, knowledge, and skill competency exceeded 75%.Keywords: development, instructional material, scientific approach

The values of nationalism can be integrated into instructional materials as a way to achieve competence standards set by the government. This study aimed to produce nationalism-oriented interactive materials for news item learning in junior high school. This study employed a research and development design that consisted of seven stages, including data analysis, product design, prototype development, expert validation, product revision, small-group tryout, and final model revision. The result of the analysis showed that the interactive materials could meet the teacher’s and students’ needs in learning news item and the development of the product was in line with the principle of instructional material development. The interactive instructional materials were packaged in a compact disk (CD) containing an application called Macromedia Flash. The values of nationalism integrated in the instructional materials include the pride in the national language which is Indonesian Language, the love for the country, the spirit of preserving national songs, heroism, discipline, and hard work. These values were embedded in the form of visual, audio, or audiovisual media that can be displayed in the classroom and thus used to study listening.

This descriptive study aimed to determine the level of reading comprehension among 323 randomly selected Grade 11 learners from the academic and TVL tracks of Estancia National High School, through the use of a researcher-made instrument which had undergone validity and reliability test. Result revealed that when taken as an entire group, the females, the academic track Grade 11 learners, those with post graduate parents were “good” in literal and interpretive levels while “fair” in evaluative level. The males, the TVL track Grade 11 learners, those with elementary education parents were “fair” in the three levels. Those with high school education parents were “good” in literal but fair in interpretive and evaluative levels. Those whose parents had tertiary education were “good” in all three levels of reading comprehension. There was a significant difference in the three levels of reading comprehension when Grade 11 learners were classified as to sex and track. There was a significant difference in literal and evaluative levels when Grade 11 learners were classified as to parents’ highest educational attainment but no significant difference in interpretive level. Among the three levels, it was in the evaluative level that the Grade 11 learners barely passed. Based on the result of the study an instructional material was developed.

The purpose of this research was to develop an EFL course book for the first semester learners at the Islamic junior high school in Indonesia. The material development includes some procedures of need analysis, material development, expert validation, material revision, try-out and final revision. Based on the results of questionnaires distributed to 106-second graders, the interviews done to the teachers and field notes taken from a document of the syllabus, this research revealed that most of the students and English teachers require English instructional materials embracing religious and general knowledge. After validated by the experts and tried-out to the students, this research finally produced English materials that were supplemented by a teacher’s guide, student’s worksheets and a CD containing listening materials.

<p>Dilatarbelakangi  oleh permasalahan pendidikan di Indonesia dewasa ini yang dinilai  semakin kompleks, penulis berupaya mengkaji tentang  pembelajaran   fiqh  berdasarkan kesehatan reproduksi.  Dalam pelaksaannya  kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kepustakaan dengan  metode  analisis deskriptif. Pembelajaran  Fiqh berdasarkan kesehatan reproduksi adalah konsep pengembangan materi Fiqh yang dihasilkan  dengan meninjau kurikulum sebelumnya yang dianggap tidak sadar dengan masalah remaja, khususnya dalam konteks kesehatan reproduksi. Permasalahan remaja seringkali berakar dari kurangnya informasi dan pemahaman serta  kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan reproduksi.  Di sisi lain,  remaja sendiri mengalami perubahan  fisik yang cepat. Harus ada keyakinan bersama bahwa membangun generasi penerus yang berkualitas perlu dimulai sejak anak, bahkan sejak dalam kandungan. Konsep pembelajaran fiqh berbasis kesehatan reproduksi merupakan sebuah tawaran pengembangan materi mata pelajaran fiqh madrasah aliyah terkait dengan tema-tema tertentu yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan reproduksi, seperti materi, zina, iddah dan lainnya.</p><p><strong>Kata kunci: Konsep pembelajaran,  Fiqh, Kesehatan reproduksi</strong></p><p><em>LEARNING  CONCEPTS OF  FIQH   IN  REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PERSPECTIVE.  Effected by the problem of education in Indonesia which is rated increasingly complex, the author seeks to investigate about Fiqh learning based on reproductive health. In the implementation, this study uses library research by applying descriptive analysis method. Learning Fiqh based on reproductive health  is the concept of the development of material  generated by reviewing the Fiqh of curriculum  previously which  was deemed not aware with the  problems of youth, particularly in the context of reproductive health. Teenage problems often stem from a lack of information and understanding and awareness  of the  importance  of maintaining the reproductive health.  On the  other hand, teens  themselves  are experiencing rapid  physical  changes. Therefore, should  be a shared belief that building the qualified next generation need to be started since the child, even in the womb. The concept of learning fiqh based on reproductive health is an offer of material development subjects of fiqh in Islamic Senior High School (madrasah aliyah) related to specific themes related to reproductive health, such as the material of zina, iddah and so on.</em></p><p><strong><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: learning concept, Fiqh, reproductive health</em><br /></strong></p>

 Anemia in pregnancy is potentially harmful to the mother and child. Based Riskesdas 2013 the prevalence of anemia among pregnant women in Indonesia amounted to 37.1%, this indicates the incidence of pregnancy anemia in Indonesia is still quite high, this study aims to Know the knowledge before and after getting a health education about the link between diet and the incidence of high risk in pregnancy puskesmass District, Ciputat timur.Metode this research is descriptive analysis with cross sectional study design. Location of the research conducted at the health center subdistrict, Ciputat east, Rengas, Pisangan, Pondok Ranji. Samples in this study were 84 maternal sample is taken by accidental sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire and book ANC. Data analysis using Chi Square Results of the study of 84 pregnant women, obtained 20.9% experienced anemia There is a significant correlation between regularity of the diet and the incidence of anemia, with p value 0.002. There is a significant relationship between the processing of foodstuffs with anemia, with p value 0,007. There is a significant relationship between the type of food in consumption with anemia, with p value 0.002.Keyword: Diet, Anemia, Pregnancy

This research aims to produce a feasible guided inquiry instructional materials by using computer simulation to improve student’s learning achievement of junior high school. The application of computer simulation used consists of PhET (Sims Build an Atom), Jmol, and Periodic Table. Development of this instructional material refers to Dick and Carey’s model. The subjects of this research was instructional materials that consist of syllabus, lesson plan, student’s worksheet, textbook, and achievement test. It was conducted to IX grade students in junior high school. The data were collected using questionnaire, observation, and test. The data were analyzed  using descriptive qualitative and quantitative statistic technique. The results of this research reveal that: (1) the instructional materials which is developed categorized very valid; (2) learning implementation categorized very good; (3) cognitive domain of the students’ learning achievement have increased by a score of N-gain high category; and (4) the students responded positively towards learning. Based on this results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry instructional materials by using computer simulation which have been developed feasible used to improve student’s learning achievement.

Introduction. Gamalama Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. The eruption of Gamalama Volcano has direct or indirect dangers to the community, especially school students. The potential for casualties and loss of school infrastructure will increase if students do not follow suit when they are at school. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with disaster preparedness that affects students. Then find out the level of disaster preparedness in high school students. Research methods. The research is a descriptive correlational study, with a total sample of 162 students taken by purposive sampling technique at 4 high schools located in the disaster-prone area of Gamalama Volcano. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. Results. The results show that there was a positive and significant relationship between knowledge and disaster preparedness in students (sig. 0.000 <0.01). Likewise, the relationship between attitude and student preparedness has a positive and significant relationship (sig. 0.000 <0.01). Meanwhile, the level of disaster preparedness among students was in the "ready" category, with the value of the preparedness index of 74.57. Conclusions. Knowledge, attitudes, and student disaster preparedness need to be improved, in order to reduce the loss of life and property during a disaster, especially schools located in disaster-prone areas. Then, real efforts from the government, local communities and non-governmental organizations are needed in the volcanic disaster risk reduction program.

Abstract This study aimed to develop the teaching material for integrated natural science learning in junior high school using 4 steps teaching material development (4STMD) method. There were four steps that should be conducted comprised of selection, structuring, characterization, and didactic reduction. The method used in this study was Research and Development (R&D), so that understanding test was conducted more then once, which are before and after didactic reduction step. The first understanding test result in the average of percentage that are 53,7% and 53,8%. After didactic reduction, the second understanding test result in the average of percentage that is 65,8%. The next test was the feasability test of the teaching material that result in the average of percentage 76,9%, which is in the very good category. Keywords: teaching material; understanding; feasibility Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar untuk pembelajaran IPA terpadu di SMP menggunakan metode 4 Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). Ada empat tahapan yang harus dilakukan pada metode pengembangan bahan ajar tersebut yaitu seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D), sehingga pengujian keterpahaman dilakukan lebih dari satu kali yaitu sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya tahapan reduksi didaktik. Uji keterpahapaman tahap pertama menghasilkan nilai rerata persentasi 53,7% dan 53,8%. Setelah reduksi didaktik, dilakukan uji keterpahaman kedua yang menghasilkan rerata persentasi 65,8%. Uji selanjutnya merupakan uji kelayakan bahan ajar yang menghasilkan rerata persentasi 76,9% yang berada pada kategori sangat baik. Technology as an essential matter has been integrated in today’s education for the sake of innovative and cutting-edge medium for English language teaching (ELT). Also, the students’ demands in learning English should be accommodated since they are in relation to the specialized study or the professional required of the students. This paper attempted to explain how the process of ICT-based instructional materials for undergraduate students of Communication Department is developed. This research occupies Richards (2001) model of R and D. There were three groups participated to this research. The students (N 50), lecturer (N 1) and the curriculum coordinator (N 1), from those three participants, were achieved by triangulation with respect to data collection sources. The finding shows that most of the respondents agree to use ICT-based instructional material in their learning process. It means ICT-based instructional material is proper to be implemented since the practicality and ease of usage. The feedback from the students indicates that they like the appearance of the instructional material and it attracts the students to use it to support their learning.
