This comparative analysis on the Mean Percentage Scores (MPS) results of senior high school classes for Quarters I, II, and III was a good practice that can be emulated by educators in order to give meaning to the data. MPS is not for compilation only. It must be used for decision making in lesson delivery enhancements, learning resources utilization and school improvement plan and adjustment. The design used was descriptive research. This is a comparative analysis of the results of Quarterly Assessments of senior high school classes in a public school in Leyte with the sample of five sections determined by stratified sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Mean, standard deviation, dependent sample t-test, independent sample t-test, two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and thematic analysis of interviews of subject teachers. Descriptive study is scientific research that methodically deals with a certain region or population and characterizes an occurrence, phenomenon, or fact (Modato, 2017).   Based from interviews and document analysis, extracurricular activities, socio-cultural involvements, the difficulty of learning competences, and examination schedules and the school calendar in general all had an influence on students' performance. In addition, test structures, test layout, and clear directions and instructions have an impact on test results.

This study aimedat observing the effect of eksploration style and command styletoward volleyball basic skills achievement.  Type of the research wasquasi-experimental(Quasy experiment). The population of this study are high school students of Bukit Barisan class X and XI who follow extracurricular activities of volleyball at least eighty student, while the sample in this study is 20 male students using total sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a basic bolavoli skill test. Data were analyzed by using t-test (dependent sample and Independent sample) The results ofdata analysisshow that:(1) There are influences eksploration style which significantly to the volleyball basic skills in Students Senior High School Bukit Barisan  be obtained the value of t count = 5,61 > t table = 2,26, (2) There are influences command style which significantly to the volleyball basic skills in Students Senior High School Bukit Barisan be obtained the value of t count = 5,93 > t table = 2,26,(3) Eksploration style is more better than series of command style to the volleyball basic skills in Students Senior High School Bukit Barisan be obtained the value of t count = 1,99 > t table = 1,76. The usage exploration method is better than command methode.

This study aims to look at the effect of martial arts exercises on changes in adolescent personality. The sample of this study was Yadika Lubuklinggau High School students who participated in pencak silat extracurricular activities, totaling 22 people. The sampling technique is a total sampling technique. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that martial arts exercises provide a significant influence on changes in adolescent personality. The design of this study is one group pretest-posttest. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with Likert Scale. The data in this study are the answers of the sample parents regarding their daily personalities both before and after pencak silat training. Hypothesis testing with a t-test at a significant level of 0.05%. Based on testing the research hypothesis using the t-test statistical analysis it is known that the t-value is 3,227, while the t-table value is 1,720. Thus, it can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted. The conclusion that can be drawn in this study is that martial arts exercises provide effects on changes in adolescent personality.

Abstract: This research generally aims to get brief description of application high touch in learning process. This research is conducted by descriptive quantitative method.  The population is all teachers and students at senior high school. Samples are taken by using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The percentage, correlation and t test. The results of this research reveal that application high touch  in learning process less and teachers’ opinion about high touch implementation as implication of teachers’ understanding toward learning process differ significantly with students’ opinion. This study aims to investigate the difference between the students at Senior Highr School of Bone distric and Senior High School YAPIP Gowa distric in term of physical structure and to describe the difference between the students at both school in term of athletic skill. This research applied experimental design. The population of the research were all of the students at Senior Highr School 9 Bone distric and Senior Highr School YAPIP Gowa distric, meanwhile the sample were 40 male students of each school. The researcher applied random sampling technique. It shows that there is a significant difference between the physical structure of the students at both schools. The result of t-test shows that there is a significant difference in physical structure between the students of Senior Highr School 9 Bone distric and Senior Highr School YAPIP Gowa distric. In this case, the physical structure of the students at Senior Highr School 9 Bone distric is better that the students at Senior Highr School YAPIP Gowa distric. Besides, there is a significant difference regarding athletic skill. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMAN 9 Kab Bone dan seluruh siswa SMA YAPIP Kab. Gowa. Sedangkan sampel yang digunakan adalah 40 siswa dari masing-masing sekolah. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan teknik random sampeling (acak). Ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara struktur tubuh siswa di kedua sekolah. Hasil rangkuman uji – t menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara struktur tubuh siswa di kedua sekolah. Dalam hal ini struktur tubuh siswa SMAN 9 Kab. Bone lebih baik dibandingkan dengan struktur tubuh siswa SMA YAPIP Kab. Gowa. Selain itu, ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan atletik siswa SMAN 9 Kab. Bone dengan siswa SMA YAPIP Kab. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dana BOS di SMA dan SMK ditinjau dari sumber pendanaan, pemanfaatan dana, dan sebagai upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Studi ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi dalam studi ini adalah seluruh SMA/SMK yang menerima bantuan BOS tahun 2014 baik negeri maupun swasta di kabupaten/kota seluruh Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel kabupaten/ kota menggunakan proporsional random sampling dengan didasarkan pada indeks kapasitas fiskal (IKF) tinggi dan rendah, sedangkan penentuan sampel SMA dan SMK secara random. Responden/sumber data penelitian adalah 64 kepala sekolah dan 64 pengelola BOS di sekolah sampel. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, FGD, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan dana BOS di SMA dan SMK terbesar digunakan untuk pengadaan buku dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler efektif dalam membantu kegiatan kurikuler maupun ekstrakurikuler sehingga mampu meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the school operational assistance funds in general and vocational senior high school in terms of source of fund, utilization of fund and as an effort to improve the quality of learning. This study is descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approach. The population in this study is the entire general and vocational senior high school which receive school operational assistance in 2014 both public and private in districts/cities throughout Indonesia. The sampling technique of districts/cities using proportional random sampling is based on high and low fiscal capacity index, whereas the determination of sample of general and vocational senior high school is random. Respondents/ research data sources were 64 school principals and 64 school operational assistance managers in sample schools. The data in this study were collected by using questionnaires, FGD, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistic method. The results showed that the utilization of school operational assistance funds in general and vocational senior high school is used to procure books and extracurricular activities and also effective in helping school activities such as curricular to enhance quality learning.

Islamic mentoring in a senior high school in Bandung has not been thoroughly evaluated. Thus, the researchers conducted an evaluation of the mentoring program to see its effectiveness in enhancing religious commitment as the goal of carrying out these activities. This is an evaluative research with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study sample consisted of 38 IRMa Luqman members. This study used a program evaluation scale and religious commitment scale, as well as interviews as supporting data. Descriptive percentage analysis and interviews are used to find out the results qualitatively, while the comparative analysis uses the paired sample t-test to find out the results quantitatively. Evaluation results show that mentoring activities have run quite effectively, also religious commitment of respondents increased significantly. Thus, it can be concluded that the islamic mentoring program is effective enough to increase religious commitment to IRMa Luqman members at SMAN 10 Bandung.

This   study aimed to  identify the level of teachers’ readiness in implementing the 21st century learning; determine the relationship between teachers’ demographic profile and level of understanding 21st century learning; determine the difference between Bay and Los Baños districts teachers’ readiness; and design a training program for teachers. The respondents were the regular/permanent senior high school teachers of the Department of Education  in the said districts, School Year 2019-2020. The teacher-respondents were from three and six public senior high schools from Bay and Los Baños, Laguna, respectively; adopted questionnaire and   used simple random sampling technique. Findings, reveal that the level of teachers’ readiness  was high but  they still  need professional development in order to:  increase the knowledge  about 21st century learning; assessment of  students, use  technology as a tool in teaching; and have advanced training on different strategies  in handling 21st century students. The teachers’ profiles such as sex, age, teaching position, years in service and educational attainment influenced the level of teachers’ understanding in implementing the 21st century learning; while there is no difference on teachers’ level of readiness between the Bay and Los Baños districts. Hence, a comprehensive training program is recommended to enhance teachers’ professional and technical skills.

This study aimed at analyzing the cognitive dimension based on Revised BloomTaxonomy in reading questions in Look Ahead an English Course for Senior HighSchool Level 1, 2, & 3. This study used quantitative research design. The sampleswere 141 reading questions which taken by using random sampling technique byusing Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0. in Look Aheadan English Course for Senior High School Level 1, 2, & 3. The data were analyzedby using Table analysis of cognitive dimension of Revised Bloom Taxonomy. Theanalysis showed that the most dominant cognitive dimension of Revised BloomTaxonomy in remembering dimension (57.45%). The second dominant cognitivedimension is understanding dimension (26.24%). The third dominant cognitivedimension is evaluating dimension (10.64%). The fourth dominant cognitivedimension is creating dimension (3.55%). The fifth dominant cognitive dimension isanalyzing dimension (2.13%). There was no cognitive dimension of applyingdimension that applied in reading question of the textbooks.

This study is an attempt to discover the effect of applying Think-Talk-Write strategy on students’ achievement in writing descriptive text. The objective of this study were to find out whether applying Think-Talk-Write strategy affect the students’ achievement in writing descriptive text. This study was an experimental research. In conducting the research, the writer used 60 students of Al-Fattah Senior High School Medan as the sample. The 60 students were taken from two classes and they were divided into two groups namely the experimental group who was taught by using Think-Talk-Write strategy and the control group who was taught without Think-Talk-Write strategy. The data of the test were collected by administering written test. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The result of the analysis shows that the value of t-observed is higher than the value of t-table (2,3> 2,00 (α = 0.05)) with the degree of freedom (df) = N-2 = 58. It means that there is significant effect of applying Think-Talk-Write strategy on students’ achievement in writing descriptive text. So the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The conclusion is that applying Think-Talk-Write strategy can encourage and increase the students’ achievement in writing descriptive text. Therefore, it is suggested that English teacher should try to apply this strategy.

Teenagers, who are considerably susceptible to smoking, must be educated to prevent smoking behavior that can cause health problems and even death. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of education through social media such as WhatsApp in the modification of smoking behaviors among senior high school students in Pangkep District, Indonesia. It employed a quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest-only control group design. The experimental group received education in the use of WhatsApp social media, while the control group was provided with leaflets. Data were collected through observation and interviews with a total of 180 students in both groups, with 90 students in each. Data analysis used a paired sample t-test and an independent sample t-test. The study suggested that disseminating health information through WhatsApp media about the dangers of teenage smoking was more effective than leaflets in changing student behavior.
