From classroom to library: What are the transferable knowledge and skills teachers bring to library work

This paper explores the transferable knowledge, experience or skills second-career librarians with a teaching background bring to bear or utilize in the discharge of their library work. It also explores how the transferable knowledge helps librarians and teaching librarians to discharge the roles delineated by ACRL’s (2017) document. Snowball sampling method was used to locate 17 participants for this study in Ghana. Mixed methods were used for data collection; questionnaire (open-ended questions) and interview. The data were analyzed using the thematic analysis technique. The study found the following transferable knowledge, skills and experiences to library work: methodology of teaching, questioning and listening skills, knowledge of courses content, presentation, communication and good public speaking skills and human relational skills. The study found that transferable knowledge from the teaching profession help second-career (teaching) librarian to discharge to their library role effectively.

This study aims to analyze the psychological aspects (creative psychology capital and ethical sensitivity) to the performance. This research was conducted in several hospitals in Jayapura City. Data collection in this research is using questionnaire where respondent in this research is staff of finance or administration and program. The sampling technique used in this research is census sampling method. The number of research samples taken as many as 38 respondents. This research uses Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique. The result of this study shows that the developed hiptotesi significantly influence the performance. The utilization of protected animals is feared to accelerate the rate of animal extinction if there is no field observation related to the use of animals by the Kanayant Dayak tribe in Temahar village. Related data and animal species, animal parts and circumchations are preliminary indicators to determine the benefits and functions of the animal itself. The method used in this research is the survey method of selecting respondents using the Snowball sampling method, data collection using questionnaire assistance. The results showed the use of animals as much as 16 types. For the ritual of Adat 3 types, treatment 8 types and mystical 5 types. The main parts are meat, bile, fur, heart, blood, kidney, pedals, scales, eggs, liver, and head. Kanayant Dayak people cultivate animal meat for traditional ritual, treatment and mystical by means of cooking gravy and burnt, most people still use traditional equipment to cook and burn meat and for hunting.Keywords: Ethnozoology, Kanayant Dayak, Medicine, Mysticism, Traditional Rituals.

mediated by profitability. The population used in this study are textile and garment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The sampling method used was saturated sampling with a total sample of 14 companies. Data collection is done through non-participant observation. The analysis technique used is path analysis carried out using SPSS version 22. Based on the results of the analysis concluded that liquidity has a positive and significant effect on profitability, liquidity has a negative and not significant effect on stock returns, capital structure has a negative and significant effect on profitability, influential capital structure negative and significant effect on stock returns, profitability has a negative and significant effect on stock returns, profitability is able to mediate the effect of liquidity on stock returns, and profitability is not able to mediate the effect of capital structure on stock returns. This research was conducted at the Regional Inspectorate and the Regional Financial and Revenue Management Agency of Klungkung Regency. The number of samples taken as many as 42 employees, with non-probability sampling method, proposive sampling technique. Data collection is done through surveys and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that organizational culture, discipline, and competence simultaneously had a significant effect on supervisory performance. This shows that the implementation of a good organizational culture, the application of discipline and the establishment of competency standards for employees, the performance of supervision will improve. Partially organizational culture, discipline, and competence also influence supervisory performance. This shows that with the implementation of a good organizational culture, discipline and competence can improve supervisory performance. Keywords: Organizational culture, discipline, competence

This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of the Haus Public Speaking training participants in Padang City, this is presumably because it has something to do with the andragogical competence of the Trainer in the Haus Public speaking Training in Padang City. This study aims to see an overview of the andragogical competence of the trainer, the description of learning motivation, and the relationship between the andragogical competence of the trainer and the learning motivation of the participants in the Haus Public Speaking training in Padang City. The approach to this research is quantitative with descriptive correlational research. The population in this study was 25 participants in the Haus Public Speaking training in Padang City and a sample of 70%, namely 17 people. The sampling technique was random sampling. In this study, data collection using a questionnaire or questionnaire with the data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire guide. The data analysis technique in this study used a percentage formula and rank-order correlation. The results of this study indicate that the andragogical competence of the trainer is quite low, the learning motivation of the participants is still low, and there is a significant relationship between the andragogical competence of the trainer and the learning motivation of the public speaking training participants. Suggestions are to the managers of the public speaking training program to further improve the quality of learning in public speaking training. To trainers, so they can improve their competence as educators, especially andragogical competence in public speaking training. It is hoped that in other studies, we can see some other factors that have not been examined in this study.Keywords: Andragogical Competence, Learning Motivation

This study aimed to determine the effect of budget goal clarity to the budgetary slack to be moderated by the information asymmetry. This research was conducted in SKPD Pesisir Selatan District as much as 27 SKPD. The respondents used in this study were 108 employees. Sample selection was done by using purposive sampling method. Data collection was done through questionnaire.The analysis technique used in this research his Moderated Regression Analysis.The results of this study found that, budget goal clarity does not affect the budgetary slack and the information asymmetry cannot moderate the influence of budget goal clarity for budgetary slack.

The auditor's ability to detect fraud is the auditor's ability to determine illegal acts that result in material misstatement in the financial statements which were done intentionally. In order for the auditor's ability to perform detection to increase, an experienced auditor, professional skepticism and competence is needed. The purpose of this study is to empirically prove the effect of experience, professional skepticism, and competence on the ability of auditors to detect fraud. This research was conducted at a Public Accountant Firm in Bali Province with a purposive sampling method of determining the sample. The number of samples analyzed in this study were 61 auditors. Data collection was carried out through interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Based on the analysis, it was found that experience, professional skepticism, and competence have a positive effect on the ability of auditors to detect fraud. This research is a quantitative research that aims to determine the effect of price, Brand Image and Quality Product. The population to consumers who come to Yamaha dealers in the area of South Jakarta City, the sample size was taken as many as 75 respondents, with probability sampling method, especially Random Sampling. Data collection is done through the distribution of questionaires. The analysis technique used is the method of PLS (Partial Last Square) analysis. Accounting fraud is an action due to the desire or encouragement to use the opportunity so as to manipulate accounting of financial statements, corruption or misappropriation of assets. Research aims to determine the influence of individual morality, organizational commitment and conformity of compensation on accounting fraud in the LPD of Mengwi sub-district. The sampling method is using the purposive sampling technique. The data collection method is permormed using questionnaires and questionnaires returned are 194 questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the tests, individual morality, organizational commitment and compensation conformity have negative affect on accounting fraud. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of green marketing Tool's on consumer buying behavior. This research was conducted on Philips LED lighting products in Denpasar. The number of samples chosen was 112 people, with purposive sampling method. Data collection was done through questionnaire, with data analysis technique used is multiple liniear regression. The results of this study show that the tool of green marketing tool that consists of eco-label, eco-brand, and environmental advertisement have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing behavior. This shows that consumers who realize the importance of environmentally friendly products can encourage the decision to purchase a product.
