One of the learning models based on student activities (Students Centered Learning) is by using cooperative learning of TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) on the learning process in the classroom. This research is intended to know the improving reading comprehension through cooperative learning model of TAI (Team Assisted Individualization). This research used quantitative research using experimental design type one group pretest-posttest design with the sample student of semester 1 Diploma III Midwifery Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The result of the research shows that there is a significant improvement toward the first semester students of Diploma III Midwifery Program by using cooperative learning model of TAI type (Team Assisted Individualization). This can be seen from some calculations such as pre-test average X = 44,32 and average post- Test Y = 66.56 from the average pre-test and post-test posttest is higher than the pre-test. (Compare) with 5% significant level of degree of freedom (df) = (n-1) = 28, whether t value> t table. There is improvement in reading comprehension through cooperative learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) toward the first semester students of Diploma III Midwifery Program of 0.07> 0.14. This research is expected to contribute to the learning model of reading comprehension to improve students' ability.

The low learning outcomes of students, it is due to the learning process that is dominated by traditional learning. At this learning atmosphere tends to teacher-centered classroom so that students become passive, therefore it is necessary to implement a learning strategy that can help students to understand the teaching material and its application in everyday life. Based on this, in this study it will be discussed whether there are differences in mathematics achievement subject matter sub gradient between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and the conventional model of learning in class XI SMA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in mathematics achievement between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models. This study uses quantitative research. As the population is students in class XI MIA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya The sample consisted of students of class XI MIA 1, amounting to 25 students as the experimental class and the students of class XI MIA 2, amounting to 25 students as the control class.  Data collection method used is to use the test method. Data in the form of student test results done once the post-test is to determine the value of learning mathematics achievement of students in each sample after treatments or treatments performed. From the analysis we found differences in mathematics achievement between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models, in this case increased learning achievement in cooperative learning model STAD. With the calculation of the t-test is greater than the table or 4.98> 1.98 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion from this study is that there are differences in mathematics achievement subject matter sub gradient between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models, characterized by differences in mathematics achievement. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa antara model discovery learning dan jigsaw. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Tempat penelitian diaksanakan di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu. Populasi pada penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VII. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak sederhana yaitu kelas VII.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning, kelas VII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw, dan kelas VII.3 sebagai kelas kontrol, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen 1 memperoleh nilai rata-rata tes akhir (post-test) kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu 12,13, nilai rata-rata eksperimen 2 yaitu 11,45, dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol yaitu 9,26. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji anava satu jalur, dengan signifikan 0,05 diperoleh 𝐹ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 = 𝐹𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 = 0,34, maka H0 ditolak. Artinya ada perbedaan signifikan rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen 1, kelas eksperimen 2, dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji beda nyata (BNT) menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran yang memberikan hasil penalaran matematis yang berbeda adalah model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan konvensional, dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan konvensional. Sedangkan pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw tidak memberikan hasil kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang berbeda. Model discovery learning dan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw memberikan hasil lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan model konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan penalaran matematis, model discovery learning, model Jigsaw AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine students' mathematical reasoning abilities with discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu City in the   academic year 2019/2020. The sample of this study was selected by simple random sampling, namely class VII.1 as experimental class 1 using the discovery learning models, class VII.5 as experimental class 2 using the jigsaw type cooperative learning models, and class VII.3 as control class using conventional learning models. Data were collected by means of tests of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Based on the results of the one-way ANOVA test, there are significant differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the experimental class 1, experiment class 2 and the control class. The results          of the real difference test (BNT) show that learning that gives different results is the discovery learning models with conventional learning models, and the jigsaw type cooperative learning model with conventional learning models. Meanwhile, learning with discovery learning models and jigsaw type cooperative learning models does not give different results for students' mathematical reasoning abilities. <p class="BodyAbstract">One way to improve students' communication skills is by applying the Discovery Learning model. It can improve students' communication skills by enabling students to express ideas of their findings. Communication skills can be orally or in writing, and teachers need to motivate students to communicate actively. This study aims to determine Year 7 students' mathematics communication skills by the Discovery Learning model in mathematics learning. This was a quantitative research using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. This research population was all Year 7 students in the school studied, and the sample was one class that was selected randomly. The research instruments were pre-test and post-test to explore students' communication skills. The results indicated that the Discovery Learning model could improve Year 7 students' mathematics communication skills. It is expected that this research may inform teachers and educators concerning the application of appropriate learning model for enhancing students’ communication skills.</p>

The lecture on algebra has not involved students in working together. Thus, one effort that can be done is implementing the jigsaw cooperative learning model. This study aims to describe the student collaboration activities in the introduction to algebra course using the jigsaw cooperative learning. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The subjects were 32 first semester students of 2019 who were enrolled in the introduction to algebra course in the Mathematics Education Study Program, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Malang. The instrument in this study was an observation sheet of student activities, and the supporting data were the results of individual exercises. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that student collaboration activities in the jigsaw cooperative learning in the introduction to algebra course were very good, as indicated by the average score of students in completing individual exercise problems was 90. Thus, it can be concluded that the selection of an appropriate learning model can enhance student collaboration in learning abstract mathematical concepts.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa pada materi panas dan perpindahannya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experimental design, dengan bentuk desain post-test only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang. Sampel diambil menggunakan  teknik purposive sampling. Setelah pengambilan sampel, yang terpilih menjadi kelas eksperimen adalah kelas VA dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran POE dan VB sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa antara kelas yang diberikan model pembelajaran POE dengan kelas yang diberikan pembelajaran langsung pada materi panas dan perpindahannya di kelas V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang; (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa antara kelas yang diberikan model pembelajaran POE dengan kelas yang di berikan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi panas dan perpindahannya di kelas V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran POE; kemampuan pemahaman konsep. ABSTRACTThis study is aimed at learning the influence of the use of the POE learning model (Predict, Observe, Explain) on a student's ability to understand science concepts on hot matter and transmigration. The study is carried out at MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang. The kind of research used was quantitative research with experimental quasi design. With a design post-test only design control. The population in the study are all the students in the V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang class. The sample was taken using an additive sampling, after taking the selected sample into a VA class experiment which was an experimental class using the POE and VB  control class that use a direct learning model. Research concluded that: (1) there is an influence on a student's ability to understand natural science between a class given by the POE learning model and a class given direct learning on hot matter and transfer to V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang class; (2) there is a difference in the ability to understand a student science concept between the class given by the POE learning model and the class provided the direct learning model for hot matter and transfer to V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang class. Keywords: POE learning models; the ability to understand concepts.

The weak teacher's competence in understanding learning models is an early cause of student achievement in the mastery of teaching materials. A weak symptom of the teacher's understanding of the learning model at MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen in understanding the learning model was found after the academic supervision of one semester in the first semester of lesson 2019/2020. This research aims to determine the extent to which the professional improvement of teachers through small discussion in understanding and implementing cooperative learning models in order to improve student learning achievement. This research using the method of study of Madrasah (PTS) is conducted in 2 cycles. Improved teacher competence in understanding and implementing cooperative learning models achieve satisfactory results. From a pre 41.43% cycle, it becomes 71.43% on the I cycle, and can increase to 80.33% in the II cycle. The results of this study show that coaching through academic supervision through small discussion can improve the professionalism and performance of teachers in understanding cooperative learning models with a 80% compensation.

Cooperative Learning is a teaching arrangement that refers to small, heterogeneous groups of students working together to achieve a common goal (Kagan, 1994). This research is done to know the response of students used cooperative learning in reading comprehension. The data of this study analyzed qualitatively without applying statistical calculations. The subject of the study were the students of the first semester in Midwifery faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo . There researcher used one class which consist 29 students. The students gave the positive responses and dominantly agreed to the implementation of cooperative learning type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) in reading comprehension. From the questionnaire, the researcher concludes that are 40% students are agreed, 50% students strongly agree, and 10% less agree  with cooperative learning type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) in reading comprehension. The conclusion is students respond well to cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) to improve students' reading comprehension. This cooperative learning type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) can be the one of the model to teach reading comprehension.

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in learning outcomes of class X students of SMA 12 Ambon using cooperative learning model Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) and conventional learning models on trigonometric material. The type of research is experimental research (Experimental Research) with the Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential test statistics consisting of normality test data, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The data are processed using SPSS version 20.0. The results of this study are (1) there are differences in learning outcomes using the cooperative learning model Student Facilitator and Explaining and conventional learning models, which shows that the value of  t_hitung  3.1128 is greater than the value of t_tabel  2.0003 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) smaller than the value of alpha 0.05 which is 0.002; (2) learning outcomes of students who use the cooperative learning model Student Facilitator and Explaining type are better when compared to those using conventional learning models

The reason for the low competency of students' knowledge is the lack of teacher innovation when delivering learning material, so that students have not been motivated to participate and be actively involved. One way to improve the competency of students' knowledge and activities is to apply the cooperative learning model type make a match. The study aims to determine the differences in knowledge activities and competencies of students whose learning uses the cooperative model type make a match with discovery learning in students of class XI science at SMAN 7 Padang. This research is an experimental study with the research design of The Static Group Comparison Design. The study population was all students of class XI IPA 7 Padang High School who were enrolled in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique, where selected class XI IPA 5 as experimental I and class XI IPA 4 as experimental II. The research instrument was in the form of posttest for knowledge competencies and observation sheets for student activities. The value of the experimental I activity was (78%), higher than the experimental II (70%). Based on the test obtained the value of t count 3.12> t table 1.67, then the hypothesis is accepted. It was concluded that the activities and learning competencies of students using cooperative models of the type of make a match were better than discovery learning models.

Abstrak Banyak hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan rendahnya minat dan kemampuan membaca pada kalangan peserta didik. Hal tersebut menimbulkan kekhawatiran bagi berbagai pihak, khususnya para pendidik. Memperhatikan kondisi yang mengkhawatirkan tersebut, penelitian yang dilakukan ini diharapkan menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengatasinya. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah menguji coba model pembelajaran Diskusi Kelompok Bernomor (DKB) dalam pembelajaran membaca artikel. Model pembelajaran ini merupakan salah satu jenis model pembelajaran kooperatif yang dikembangkan pertama kali oleh Spencer Kagan (1994), yaitu Numbered Head Together (NHT). Ruang lingkup masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini meliputi dua hal, yaitu kemampuan membaca dan model pembelajaran.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca dan keefektifan model pembelajaran DKB dalam membaca pemahaman artikel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen murni. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah teknik tes, observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Sumber datanya adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Daerah FPBS UPI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran DKB mampu meningkatkan kemampuan hasil belajar.  Dengan demikian model pembelajaran DKB dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran membaca pemahaman di samping model-model pembelajaran membaca lainnya yang telah ada.Kata-kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, diskusi kelompok bernomor AbstractThere are many research results that show the low interest and ability to read among learners. This raises concerns for various stakeholders, especially teachers. Based on the alarming conditions, this study is expected to be one alternative to overcome the problems. The effort made in this study was to test the Numbered Discussion Group (NDG) learning model in teaching to read articles. This learning model is one type of cooperative learning models that was first developed by Spencer Kagan (1994), known as Numbered Head Together (NHT) The scope of the problem investigated in this study consists of two things, namely reading ability and learning models. The purpose of this study is to describe students' reading ability and NDG learning model effectiveness in reading to comprehend articles. Data collection techniques used were technical tests, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. Data was taken from students of the Department of Education Regional Languages of FPBS at UPI. The results of this study show that the NDG learning model was able to improve learning outcomesTherefore, the NDG learning model can be used as an alternative of learning model for reading comprehension in addition to other learning models.Keywords: reading comprehension, numbered discussion group
