Abstract: Teaching material is an important learning element, it gets the attention of the teacher so that students can learn the things needed to achieve learning goals. This analysis aims to determine the suitability of class IV thematic textbooks with the Ministry of Education and Culture regulation Number 21 of 2016, the scope of social studies material. The suitability of textbooks with the characteristics of students and the literacy contained therein. The results of the analysis show: 1) Based on the content standards contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 21 of 2016, Class IV Thematic textbooks published by the Ministry of Education and Culture have met the predetermined standards. 2) it is in accordance with the development of students both in terms of material presentation, writing and image portions in the textbook. 3) there is no HOTS in the whole learning theme. 4) and there is financial literacy, culture and citizenship and character education. This study aims to develop learning to read understanding based on CIRC strategies as an effort to instill character education in grade VI elementary schools that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is research and development. The development model used is a 4-D model consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. This research data from the validity test was obtained through the validation sheet of teaching materials. Practicality data was collected through observation sheets of the implementation of the lesson plans, teacher and student response questionnaires, and interviews with teachers. Based on the validity test obtained the percentage of RPP 91.3% with a very valid category. This means that the RPP component is in accordance with the Ministry of Education Regulation No. 41 of 2007. The results of the validity of teaching materials with a percentage of 90% with a very valid category, this means that teaching materials that have been developed are in accordance with curriculum demands. The practicality test results of the implementation of lesson plans with a percentage of 95.3% with the category of very practical, during the trial teacher has no difficulty in implementing learning. The percentage of teacher responses to the questionnaire was 92.5% with a very practical category, the teacher stated the teaching material developed was different from the previous teaching material, easy to use in learning. The percentage of questionnaire responses of students was 90.2% with a very practical category, teaching materials were also interesting for students because they were designed with more interesting colors and drawings. Judging from the effectiveness test, the character values in the trials averaged 82.8%, while in the distribution of the students' character values 81%. In reading skills, the percentage while testing is 85%, while in the spread is 89%. Based on the above description, it can be concluded that the reading materials for understanding CIRC-based strategies developed can be declared valid, practical and effective.

Research aims to find out how avalid and effective environment-based teaching material is designed. This research is a research method of research&Development (R&D). To develop the product, this research follows the design of 4-D developmentmodel that includes four phases: Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. The trial subjects were 18 students in class IV SDIT Al-Bashirah city Palopo. The results of the validity of the design teaching book are obtained by the value 4.18 with valid categories. The effectiveness of teaching materials is analyzed based onthe results of student study test and studen response after testing conducted. Theresults of  the test analysis obtained anaverage of 79.16 good categories with a percentage of 89%. While the results of the student responses poll analysis obtained 81.29% of students respond positively to teaching materials. The analysis was concluded that the neighbourhood-based teaching book wasincluded in the criteria for the validity and effectiveness of the teaching materials.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengembangkan model bahan ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat dengan pendekatan CTL untuk pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan Borg & Gall yang digabungkan dengan langkah-langkah pengembangan bahan ajar Jolly & Bolitho. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Kota Bengkulu.Hasil analisis kebutuhan ditemukan bahwa bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia tidak menyertakan cerita rakyat Bengkulu dalam pembelajaran dan kompetensi guru dan siswa berkenaan dengan cerita rakyat belum memadai. Hasil rancangan bahan ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut efektif,layak digunakan, dan valid menurut validasi ahli materi, media, kurikulum, dan karakter. Bahan ajar Sastra berbasis cerita rakyat dengan pendekatan CTL di SD untuk pendidikan karakter efektif hasil pengembangan dan yang digunakan kelompok besar juga menyatakan dengan kriteria baik.Terdapat perbedaan keefektifan yang signifikan pada kemampuan hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok menggunakan bahan ajar sastra berbasis cerita rakyat dan kelompok yang tidak menggunakan bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia berbasis cerita rakyat.Hasil validasi bahan ajar kelompok pakar dengan kriteria sangat baik, dan guru dengan kriteria sangatbaik. Respon penguna bahan ajar guru dan siswa baik, maka dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar yang di rancang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, cerita rakyat, CTL, dan pendidikan karakter Abstract The research aims to used is develop teaching literature material model based on folklore and CTL approach for the education of character at Elementary School in Bengkulu city. The reasearch method using Researched Developmentof Borg & Gall combined with folly and Bolitho’s material development steps. Research was done in Elementary School in Bengkulucity. The data were collected by surveys, interviews,and questionnaires. The need identification shows that teaching material of Bahasa Indonesia did not includ folklore of Bengkulu in class; and the ability of teachers and students wasnot yet adequate. Literature teaching materials using folklore was found effective and validaccording to experts of media, curriculum, and character. There were significant difference of effectiveness in which students using literature teaching materials using folklore and which were not. Materials validation by expert group and teacher judgementwas very good. Teacher and students well respond to the teaching materials, so it can be concluded that literature teaching materials was effective for teaching literature. his study aims to produce a teaching material based on the scientific approach that is valid, practical, and effective and can increase creativity in biology learning in high school class X. The method used in this development is the 4-D Model (Four D Model) development model, which consists of four stages are: define, design, develop, and spread (disseminate). Development research is a research method for developing products and improving products. The defining stage is carried out by the determination of learning conditions by analyzing competency standards and boundaries of the subject matter that will be taught by the teacher based on the 2013 curriculum content standards. The planning stage for the preparation of instruments needed in this study and the design of prototype teaching materials. Development stage 1) expert appraisal followed by revision, and 2) development trials limited to students (developmental testing). Stage of dissemination (disseminate) by publishing teaching material that has been developed in the form of a journal. The ability of students has increased, this can be seen from the percentage of classical completeness of students in the first trial of 36%, and the percentage of classical completeness of students in the second trial was 83%. In other words an increase in the biological representation of students in the ecosystem material from the first trial to the second trial increased. Keywords: Development, Teaching Materials, Creativity

A serious challenge which is faced by teachers is educating character and bringing norms being practiced by the society into the classrooom, and English teacher is no exception. The challenge makes IndonesianEducation is very dynamic as everything dealing with normsis always thethe concern and developed by scholars, parents as well as the government. Some scholars propose to foster English teachers as models of practicing norms, while some others think to integrate norms into teaching materials. The second thought invites curriousity on how the writer of English textbook supports the recent concern on norms, and the research on it becomes very important to do. Therefore the research dealing with several reading passages in the English Textbook was done. The design was descriptive qualitative which aimed at investigating whether the writer of English textbook integrates norms in reading passages he/ she wrote. The data was norms, while the data sources were reading passages in the 2015-English Textbook developed by The Ministry of Education and Culture. The result describes that norms of trust, discipline, respect to others and self-confidence were found in reading passages. It can be then concluded that the writer of English textbook integratesnorms in the text he/ she writes. The results of the research implies not only the seriousness of scholars, parents and government in fostering character education, but also the support and care of textbook writer in succeeding the education.It is therefore suggested to teachers, scholars as well as book writer to always concern with the society’s need in developing education, especially in sharing the existed and practiced norms.

Abstract.The research model used is Research and Development (R & D) which aims to produce flipbook-based electronic teaching materials that are integrated with valid curriculum and content standards. The subjects of this study were 2 persons biology teacher, and thirty-one students in class XI SMA 3 Makassar. This research was carried out by using the modification of the ADDIE development model which consisted of the stages of Analyze, Design, Dvevelopment, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collected is data on the results of the flipbook-based electronic teaching material validation obtained from media and material expert validation questionnaires, the practicality obtained from the questionnaire tested through students and teachers, and the results of effectiveness obtained from the metacognitive awareness questionnaire and test results filled by students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. Data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Flipbook-based electronic teaching materials. developed has several components such as learning material, animation and learning videos, pictures, practice questions, and evaluation questions. The results of the study show that the average value of the total validity of flipbook-based electronic teaching materials as a whole is in the very valid category (4.59). The overall student response is in a very practical category (4.14). Teacher response is in a very practical category (4.28). The overall metacognition awareness of students is in the good category (3.97). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the flipbook-based electronic teaching material for class XI high school studied has a high level of validity.Keywords:learning materials, e-books, metacognitive, development.

There are many moral degradations has influenced students’ character. Character education need to be implemented in students’ learning activities. However, some teachers find some difficulties in finding and creating a textbook that includes character education in it. Besides, the role of local wisdom is very important in teaching character education and shaping students’ identity. The teachers can promote local wisdom through English teaching materials. Both of charactereducation and local wisdom can be integrated in the teaching materials. This research intends to develop English teaching material needed by eighth graders. The design to develop the teaching material is Research and Development (R & D). The R&D method procedure that was conducted by the researcher is adapted from Cunningham’s R&D in Borg and Gall (2003). The development process was done by six steps, they are; reviewing relevant of literature, planning the chapterobjectives, developing a preliminary form, field-testing the preliminary form, revising the preliminary form based on the field-test results, and conducting a main field test of the revised form. As the result, the final products that integrated with character education and local wisdom can be the solution to promote the local wisdom and the way to teach character to the students.

This research came up from the unavailability of the physics teaching materials containing the local wisdom of Tabalong Regency society, South Kalimantan, and the less optimal character education in the learning process. Therefore, the research and development on the physics teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Tabalong regency, South Kalimantan to train saraba kawa character were conducted. The objective of this study was to produce feasible physics teaching materials integrated with the local wisdom based on the aspects of validity, practicality, effectivity, and character achievement. This research type is a research and development using ADDIE model. The subjects of the try out were 36 grade X students of MIPA in 4 SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Tabalong Regency. The instruments used in this study were validation sheet, response questionnaire, student achievement results, and character observation sheet. The results showed that: (1) the validity of the teaching materials based on its content and appearance was in a good category, (2) the practicality of the teaching material categorized as very practical, (3) the effectiveness of the medium categorized as very practical, (4) and the achievement of saraba kawa character categorized as very good. It concluded that the physics teaching materials based on the local wisdom to train saraba kawa character is feasible for physics learning.

Abstract: The National Indonesian Ministry of Education expresses the importance of educating friendliness by stating it in a Master Plan of National Character Development for 2010-2015. However the success of character education needs a meaningful classroom situation. Unfortunately, teaching materials to create meaningful classroom situation that enhances friendliness character is still  rare. Sainsmatika fairytale books are science and mathematic’s teaching material which was developed with the wisdom of fairytale, which is attractive to integrate friendliness value. The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of sainsmatika fairytale books as a means of integrating friendliness  into teaching materials for fourth-grade students in Indonesia. A pretest-posttest control-group experimental design was used in this study to investigate the product effectiveness. This study involved 80 fourth-grade students at one of the districts in Indonesia. The experimental group was taught using sainsmatika fairytale books containing one of the character values in character education, i.e., friendliness. The quantitative data were collected through observation on student activity. The data were then analyzed using statistical methods to calculate the values and determine the frequency as well as the mean of pretest and posttest scores in both control and experimental groups. Through one way ANOVA statistical analysis, it was found that the use of sainsmatika fairytale books is significantly effective to enhance the student friendliness. Kata Kunci: fairy stories, sainsmatika, friendliness character INTEGRASI CERITA DONGENG UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN BERMAKNA Abstrak: Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional Indonesia mengekspresikan pentingnya mengajarkan karakter bersahabat dengan memasukkannya ke dalam Master Plan Pengembangan Karakter Nasional 2010-2015. Keberhasilan pendidikan karakter mebutuhkan situasi pembelajaran yang bermakna. Bahan ajar untuk menciptakan situasi pembelajaran bermakna yang dapat meningkatkan karakter bersahabat masih kurang. Buku dongeng sainsmatika adalah bahan ajar sains dan matematika yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan kearifan dongeng yang menarik untuk diintegrasikan dengan nilai karakter bersahabat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui keefektifan buku dongeng sainsmatika sebagai bahan ajar terhadap karakter bersahabat siswa.  Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan experimental pretest-posttest control-group design. Sebanyak 80 siswa kelas 4 sekolah dasar di salah satu provinsi di Indonesia dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Setiap kelas eksperimen belajar menggunakan buku dongeng sainsmatika. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan dianalisis dengan teknik statistik anova untuk menghitung frekuensi dan rata-rata hitung pretes dan postes baik kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan buku dongeng sainsmatika mampu meningkatkan karakter bersahabat siswa secara signifikan. Keywords: dongeng, sainsmatika, karakter bersahabat

The most significant concern in teaching mathematical concepts is developing and improving mathematical communication skills. However, the reality reveals that communication skills possessed by students are still relatively low. This causes students’ difficulty in understanding the material, solving problems, and conveying mathematical ideas both in oral or written form. Furthermore, students’ teaching material is not adequate to support the expected learning goals. It creates students’ difficulty in understanding the materials and it doesn’t integrate mathematical communication skills. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of mathematics module based on reciprocal teaching to improve students' mathematical communication skills. This is a research development that employs Four-D model. Subjects of the study are the teachers and the seventh grade Junior High School. In collecting the data, the researchers employ observation, interviews, questionnaires, and mathematical communication skills test. The results show that teaching material in the form of module that is assessed by experts has reached excellent criteria in terms of material and media. The module is also practically used by students and teachers in the learning process. It means, module based on reciprocal teaching can improve students' mathematical communication skills
