On Mystical Metamorphosis in Christianity and Islam: Dante’s Divine Comedy and Rumi’s Masnavi in Comparative Perspective

Abstract Journey emerges in multiple faces in literature. But when this substantial subset of quests adopts the mystical aspect, it creates a mystery that triggers the discovery sense in human beings. The present article develops a comparative analysis on the complex nature of mystical metamorphosis as expressed in two of the most influential writings of the East and West: Rumi’s Masnavi and Dante’s Divine Comedy. The first part discusses the concept of mysticism and poetry, and reveals the nature of their connection. The second part of this work investigates the historical setting of Dante’s and Rumi’s lives in relation to the social environment of the time. The last part emphasizes the idea of mystical metamorphosis as expressed in the Divine Comedy and Masnavi through two fundamental vehicles: love and faith. This work demonstrates how, in a world rife with wars and misery, mysticism provides a vital key to building a strong bridge between Islam and Christianity, and on a larger scale, to metamorphosizing the “clash of civilizations” into a “confluence of civilizations”.

Poverty is not lack of culture or lack of education, much less the lack of material goods as many people think, because understanding it is much more complex than that and understanding about it is of paramount importance. The proposal of the present article is to analyze the approaches and estrangements among the presuppositions of the Religion’s Phenomenology (process of internal constitution of the religious phenomenon, its social function, and the plausibility of the religion in the post-modernity) and the message of a prophetic book of the Old Testament denominated Habacuc, that is about subjects that relate the religion with problems linked to the social injustice and the implant of the justice in its time. The relevance of this analysis meets in the fact that the religious phenomenon and the concepts of justice and social injustice are intimately related and they accompany the human beings from the first well-known civilizations to day.

In Tamil Nadu, during the Sangam era, Vedic religion and other religions, namely, Jainism and Buddhism, were ideologically introduced. During that period, the social environment of the ethnic group was disintegrating, and the political spread of the Muventhar with the marginal kings was dominant. The land, symbolized by the Tamil language, is expanding and relating to politics. Rules and punishments created in the name of ethics were emphasized in the context of producing bodies that were pro-power. In the ethical texts, Thirukkural and Manu Dharma Shastra are important.The idea that lies in the aftermath of the Thirukkural rules that are celebrated as ethics is to be found. At the same time, the practice of Manu dharma, up and downs in the name of the birth, the inequality of the woman on the basis of gender. In Vedic religion the politics that have kept Bhramins at the top of the social stratum remain early to the present day. As far as Thiruvalluvar is concerned with the development of human beings, Manu has given rise to the social dominance of Varunasirama on the basis of birth. The essence of the article is the attempt to contain the political power that operates in the back of two different ethical literatures.

This article intends to investigate this issue objectively and honestly without bias from the comparative viewpoint between Islam and Christianity. The methodology of the article is to have a comparative analysis of the concept of salvation in both Islam and Christianity by presenting the similarities and differences. This article utilises passages from the Qur’an and the Gospel as primary sources, which will be complemented with journal articles as a secondary source. The first section looks at the terminology of ‘salvation’ within Islam and Christianity from the viewpoints of sin, repentance and forgiveness, as salvation in both Christianity and Islam means saving from the consequences of sin, and in both religions this involves repentance by humans and forgiveness by God. The second part of this article will examine how Muslims and Christians view Jesus in relation to salvation. This is tied to salvation because the death and resurrection of Jesus is how Christians believe salvation has been accomplished. The final section of this article analyses the God doctrine of Christianity and the God concept of Islam from the comparative perspective with regards to the topic of salvation. This comparative analysis will be important in highlighting the similarities between the two Abrahamic faiths, and that such commonalities can be used as a basis for respect and peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims.

Globalization processes, which are aimed at forming a single language of different cultures, raise problems of modern identity and its transformation. The process of self-identification is complex and depends on the existing worldview, so the transformation of identity entails a change in the worldview, and vice versa. In other words, such transformation can be seen as transgressive processes, which is clearly demonstrated in the example of religious practice.The religious worldview is rather stable, but significant changes are observed today. Influenced by syncretism fashion, new religious practices start blurring the boundaries of the world confessions that have been formed over the centuries, replacing the sacrament of conversion with an act of uncontrolled religious transgression, which is especially characteristic of believers who do not feel a special craving for integral system of dogmas.The authors used the term transgression to fix the phenomenon of crossing the impassable border between the possible and the impossible, leading in some cases to a breakthrough beyond the boundaries of everyday commonness and generally accepted norms. This process is both constructive and destructive, but it is destructive to social norms. Therefore, special attention is paid to the act of religious transgression related to the transition to another faith, which makes it necessary to study in the framework of the article bans and recommendations designed to create a limit of impassability on the borders of world confessions. Based on the comparative analysis of various rules and regulations adopted in Judaism, Islam and Christianity in order to regulate believers’ behavior, the social effect on the formation of the individual religious worldview is analyzed.

En el presente artículo se argumenta cómo los seres humanos han generado un proceso de humanización de los animales, especialmente con los perros. Los humanos cuando adquieren y cuidan un perro con sus prácticas diferenciales, demuestran protección, defensa, rechazo o indiferencia de manera desigual. Este tipo de prácticas diferenciales en los distintos sectores sociales ha provocado contradicciones sociales y culturales en la ciudad de Xalapa. Para ello, se revisa cómo en un barrio los humanos en su vida cotidiana tienen cierto tipo de prácticas hacia los caninos que deambulan por las calles, así como los que están encerrados en las casas, también se examina cuando transitan en ciertos territorios de la ciudad, hasta mostrar las representaciones sociales que se pueden dar en la ciudad de Xalapa sobre los procesos de humanización de éstos.Palabras clave: animales, humanismo, prácticas, subjetividadAbstractIn the present article it is argued how the human beings have generated a process of huma­nization of the animals, especially with the dogs. Analysis of the significance of structural and spatial similarities aims to identify homogeneous categories of real estate markets on the basis of the urban features of the area. Real estate markets play an increasingly important role in the global economy and investment, which is why the reliable view of residential market area became an essential tool in the process of investment planning. The positions of particular cities that will be developed by themselves according to established criteria can be crucial when choosing an investment location, and can affect the range of influence of the central site for the entire region. The aim of the research is to conduct the comparative analysis of the condition of residential market area in relation to their urban features. The social, spatial, economic and residential factors will be analysed taking into consideration their exogenous structure. The assessments of coherence and diversification of esidential markets similarities in terms of their mutual location will be shown in the article. The developed methodology will be presented on the example of the largest residential markets centers in Poland. Due to the dynamic and complex nature of the information related to real estate (in various residential regions), and increase the objectivity of the results, the assumptions of data mining analysis and GiS tools will be used.

Development of technology era replaces existence human orientation. Children tend to be individualized and difficult to adapt theirself in their environment. Beside that, the condition of emotion are difficult to control. In this condition, the children tend not to be able  to attention and consider to the obtaining norms. Some less behaviors adaptif often arise when the children are in negatif emotion, for instance aggressive. Emotion and social development are important aspects to be noticed in childhood. The ability of children to recognize theirself depend on theirs ability for adapting and engaging  their social environment. The children with low social skills tend to have unsatisfactory relationships and receiving negative feedback from the social environment. One of the things that can be done to develop children's emotional social skills is to practice social behavior. This article aims to explain the relevance of islamic storytelling finger doll  techniques to increase the children's prosocial behavior. The implementation  stage of islamic story telling finger doll  is to identify the characters, determine the setting of the story, interpret the story and the value contained, reflection and observation. Based on the Qur'an and hadith, human beings are perfected by sighting, hearing and heart to be grateful as human beings. The role of educators are to stimulate the mind and  mentality of children to be able to know the feelings of self and others, so that it becomes an altruistic generation and make a good relationships with the others.

Nicodemus is an enigmatic literary character who is wavering in no man's land in John's narrative between Jesus' opponents and his true disciples. Some scholars have taken Nicodemus as an example of someone of inadequate faith who remains an outsider throughout the narrative, while others have traced his development from initial and tentative faith to open and public commitment to Jesus. The present article, however, agrees with those who have acknowledged that no single trait determines Nicodemus's portrait, but, in the end, this portrait remains ambiguous. In the article, a text-centered approach to Nicodemus is complemented by asking how this ambiguous literary character may have functioned as a symbol for those who shared John's dualistic tendencies. The article draws upon the social identity approach in order to explain how Nicodemus's ambiguity may have helped the Johannine Christians to accept the uncertainties in their social environment without abandoning the stereotyped and fixed thrust in their symbolic world.
