Indonesia is one of the largest agricultural countries in Southeast Asia, but it is also struggling with food security issues. The government's challenge is to ensure that domestic food needs are fulfilled. The covid-19 pandemic exacerbated this challenge, where countries faced the threat of food shortages due to limited movement of goods. Thus, Indonesia should focus on increasing the production and productivity of strategic food commodities. One of the alternative solutions is through the transmigration program. This research focused on how the transmigration program can contribute to food security. The study was carried out through a descriptive qualitative method. The result shows that transmigration contributes to food security because of its similarity to the food production process. However, this program faces five main challenges to support food security. Therefore, this study shows several pre-conditions that the government needs to fulfill to overcome these challenges.

This paper is made up of three parts. The first part provides an analysis of the family planning program adopted by the Government of Serbia in early 1998. In addition to the targets, measures and the institutional basis of the activities envisaged by the program, attention is also given to the evaluation of the document itself. It is highlighted that formulation of the elements of the family planning program and their adoption constitute only the first step and that the success of the program shall largely depend on the manner of its operationalization, and particularly, on the implementation of the proposed measures and activities. In the first part of the paper, the author also asserts that the document adopted neither included the points of particular interest nor the specific conditions for implementing the program-related activities in the context of rural population. Hence, the second and the third parts discuss the research findings regarding rural population of Serbia and the pragmatic experience acquired by other countries in carrying out similar activities. The information gathered in the 1990s by means of questionnaires conducted in low and high-fertility regions was analyzed to highlight the need for implementing the program in rural population and to assess the prospects of the program-related efforts pertaining to a change in reproductive behavior. The summary experience gained in implementing family planning programs in other countries, and concretization of different elements of the activities undertaken was observed from the point of view of the need to operationalize family planning programs in Serbia.

Local wisdom defined as the ability of a community to adapt to, organize, and manage the environment and culture that affects their lives. The research conducted in the Boti community of East Nusa Tenggara Province aims to describe and understand ume kbubu as a form of local wisdom of the Boti community in maintaining food security and protecting them from disasters. The method used in this study was a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The characteristics of this research data are classified as sensitive research data; therefore, it takes a long time to obtain. Observation and interviews were data collection techniques used in this research. The result indicated that the structure of ume kbubu shows the local wisdom of the Boti community in adapting to the environment and influencing the scattered settlement structures. In addition, the function and symbolization of ume kbubu are closely related to the local wisdom of the community in storing and managing staple food (corn), which is the strength of the Boti community in facing the food crisis. The settlement structure of the Boti community, supported by strict customary rules, becomes a barrier in social interaction that can protect the community from disasters, such as infectious diseases. The local wisdom of the Boti community is likely to be an input for the government to study various cultural aspects to deal with disasters.

From a feminist political economy perspective, this article examines two recent trends in agricultural production in china likely to exacerbate gender inequalities that have been growing since the 1980s economic reforms. First, rural women are looking after land contracted to the family to grow food for the family while men are engaging in trade, marketing agricultural products and/or employment in cities. Second, some men have found opportunities, opened up by the government’s land transfer policy, to create agricultural farms by contracting land from other villagers. Women work for these farms as wage laborers. These trends reinforce male-dominated systems of food provision and pose threats to “food security” in China’s countryside, meaning inadequate access to diverse, valued foods that promote good health. These threats are particularly acute as gender disparities in rural areas increase. I conclude that existing examples of agricultural workers' cooperatives are important prefigurative practices. Such cooperatives could serve as places where women cooperators’ voices are strengthened against patriarchal policies in the household and in communities. This has important implications for food security.

Interviews with the women were held through telephonic conversations on vulnerability, coping mechanism and extent and forms of social support. Thematic content analysis was done in a stepwise manner. Results show that degeneration of social support model is time -bound and the accuracy of applying this model wane under extended condition of vulnerability caused due to COVID-19. MSSK can expand support by creating and integrating virtual community networks to detect and deter violence during the lockdown. The study suggests that the government can ensure and empower bystanders with skills of modern communication. The existing physical institutional delivery mechanism need to evolve strategies that are resilient to emerging threats from the vulnerable ecosystem.

This paper aims to provide new insights on the importance of family catechesis during the Covid 19 pandemic. During the Covid 19 pandemic, religious activities have been eliminated or restricted. Normally, Catholics can celebrate worship at church, but that will no longer be possible after the government prohibits gathering to prevent the transmission of the Coronavirus. Therefore, this situation hinders the formation of the faith of the people. Then, there was a shift in the celebration of faith which was originally held in the church to be carried out in the family during the Covid 19 pandemic. Therefore, family catechesis in this regard plays an important role in the celebration of faith within the family itself. The methodology is a qualitative method. The data were collected from books, news, and journals. For data analysis, this study used a deductive method with maggid ritual catechesis model as a perspective. This study found that family catechesis with the maggid ritual catechesis model can answer what the Catholic family missed during the Covid 19 pandemic, namely the celebration of togetherness, the experience of community faith, internalization, and transformation.

Key words: Catechesis, Faith Celebration, Family, Maggid Ritual
