Islamic boarding schools basically have a distinctive soul and philosophy. This spirit and philosophy guarantees the existence of the pesantren, and even becomes the driving force in educating students and maintaining the continuity of the institution towards progress in the future. The pesantren has five souls or it can be called five souls, namely sincerity, simplicity, independence, ukhuwah / brotherhood, and freedom in determining the field of struggle. As an educational institution, Islamic boarding schools have a big role as a fortress to defend the nation's moral values. However, the decline in moral and ethical values will affect the integrity of the nation and state. Therefore, the government has determined character education as a content that must be present at every level of education, including in Islamic boarding schools.

This is due to the fact that a lot of practices in schools, families, as welf as in society do not conform with the etical conduct, moral, and good manner that are universially accepted by human being. Therefore, all people who concern on the future of the nation, especially educators, should aware of the importance of character education, in order to save the future generation from moral degradation. Related to the problem, this aims at trigerring the awareness of educator to the importance of character education, by discussing the conceptual meanings ( what, why, and how) of character education, then followed by the possibility for implementation, and ended with the implication on education and teacher education.

The following editorial published in 1856 in Hall's Journal of Health, a well- read publication of the 1850s, will vividly demonstrate how much our attitude toward rearing our daughters has changed since 1856. OUR DAUGHTERS Are the hope of our country's future. Their physical, moral and domestic education, are of an importance which no array of figures can express, which multitudes of ponderous tomes could not adequately portray. As is the mother, so is the man. If she be a woman of physical vigor, a high guaranty is given of healthy children. If her moral character is pure, formed in the mould of Bible piety, we may anticipate for her offspring, lives of the self same piety, with its benevolent influences spreading far and wide, from all their habitations. If the mother in her domestic relations, be a pattern for all that is cleanly and systematic, and punctual and prompt and persevering, with womanly dignity and lovingness pervading all, then may we look for every son of such a woman to be a man of mark for his time, and for every daughter, to become a wife well worthy of a king. When such destinies hang upon the future of our daughters, ought they to be hurried from a loving mother's side at seventeen, at fifteen, at twelve, to be purchased care of a governess? To the herded tuition of fashionable boarding schools, where glitter and superficiality and empty show predominate; where nothing that is radically useful and good is thorough; where associations are inevitable, with the children of the parvenue, as well as with the scion of the decayed aristocrat, thus exposing the pure heart to the withering and corrupting examples of mere pretence and of baseless pride?

This analysis seeks to examine the history and development of moral/character education in America during the 20th century providing structure for the character education movement in today’s educational context. The common denominator and key to character education for the future is community. The concept of community connects the three aforementioned themes and provides a roadmap for better implementation of character education. Careful consideration is given to the interaction and contributions of the school and society in terms of promoting and developing character education. Though there is generous support from politicians, educators, and parents, character education is still somewhat mired by its lack of scope. This examination proposes that current character education proponents can find new frameworks for implementation by observing the history of character education.

Summary: Reflecting on the role humans take into nowadays society, should be of interest in all our social reflections, even for those that refer to the field of law. Any human indifferent and unconscious of the social role that he ought to play within society, as a member of it, is an irresponsible human detached from everything that surrounds him, regarding matters and other humans. Trying to isolate in an irresponsible, passive and comfortable attitude, means, after all, denying oneself, denying our nature, as the social being every human is. This is the reflection that this academic work entitles, the one made from the point of view of the Italian philosopher Rodolfo Mondolfo. From a descriptive development, starting from this renowned author, I will develop ideas that will warn the importance that human protagonism have, in this human product so call society. From a descriptive development, from this well-known author, I will be prescribing ideas that will warn the importance of the protagonism that all human beings have, in that human product that we call society. I have used the descriptive method to approach the positions of the Italian humanist philosopher and, for my assessments, I have used the prescriptive method from an eminently critical and deductive procedural position. My goal is to demonstrate, from the humanist postulates of Rodolfo Mondolfo, the hypothesis about the leading, decision-making and determining role that the human being has within society. I understand, to have reached the demonstration of the aforementioned hypothesis, because, after the analyzed, there is no doubt, that the human being is not one more existence in the development of societies; its role is decisive in determining the human present and the future that will house the next societies and generations of our historical future.

Throughout its history, Artsakh had to guard against the external threats of Neo-Ottomanism. At the present time it is especially relevant. September 27, 2020 marks escalation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over the disputed enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh – which means Artsakh in Armenian. This led to six weeks of cease fire, humanitarian disaster, which killed many people and destroyed cultural and religious heritage of Artsakh. The mountainous region is surrounded by Azerbaijani land, although populated by Armenians. Due to the political novelty of this issue, the author employed analytical and descriptive method. The acquired results demonstrate that the history repeats itself in Neo-Ottomanism, which has been a threat to Artsakh and Armenia since its emergence until the present day. In recent years, the concept of reunification with Armenia, as well as the independence of Artsakh, outlined the prospects for the future. The third solution to the conflict became the ceasefire agreement of 9 November 2020, nobly negotiated by Russia to save Armenia from military collapse. However, this solution is more painful than the status-quo. The main conclusion consists in the statement that the international community should be more vigilant and prevent the expansion of such threats.
