SD Ignatius Slamet Riyadi is a school under the auspices of the Foundation of the Holy Cross. Students in the school consist of Catholic, Christian, Buddhist and Islamic students. There are more Catholic students than Muslim students. Muslim students and non-Muslim students interact in the school environment. The purpose of this study to answer the problems are (1) How the religious life of Muslim students SD Slamet Riyadi? (2) How is the religious social behavior of different religious students in SD Slamaet Riyadi? (3) How is the friendship between Muslim student and SD Katama Slamaet Riyadi?The location of this research is SD Ignatius Slamet Riyadi Kebon Kangkung Bandung. Research subjects are Muslim students, while research sources consist of classroom teachers, principals and parents. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or verification.The results showed that the form of interaction between Muslim students and Catholic students through discussions, extracurricular activities, breaks in the school cafeteria and competition in academic terms. Social behavior of Muslim students feel comfortable in interacting with classmates and friends in one school. The behavior of Muslim students who are polite and courteous enough to maintain good relationships. The religious life of Muslim students is strongly influenced by culture and learning in Catholic schools. One of the patterns of worship is to pray very much to imitate the catholic worship of praying with the use of hand symbols dikepal and Indonesian language.The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is: the form of interaction between students in SD Slamet Riyadi divided form on the interaction of friendship school, in class and at home with parents. Factors that affect the occurrence of interaction between Muslim students with Catholic students SD Slamet Riyadi is the education of tolerance and school culture are disciplined and comfortable to follow activities together. Education Tolerance is implemented through teacher dialogue both when learning activities. The existence of different religious students is acceptable in the majority Catholic environment, so Muslim students are well received. SD Slamet Riyadi too, has educated students from various religions, learning patterns and curriculum set making these students feel comfortable studying in Catholic schools.

Research on literacy culture among santri puts forward survey-based research in which the results are the original results obtained for this study. Given the low reading interest that has been obtained for the Indonesian state, the results of this study specify the data that has been obtained in terms of literacy obtained. The students also need to know the literacy culture that is applied regardless of the activities in the Islamic Boarding School. Santri has several activities that can enhance the culture of literacy by the habit of reading the Qur'an which is a requirement in entering the boarding school environment. Santri is also prioritized in terms of reading yellow books to add insight into the religious life that has been composed by various famous scholars both from abroad and within the country. ABSTRACT  This study aims to describe the use of libraries in Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Elementary School Yogyakarta, including the presence of students in the library, student activities in the library, book collections in the library and services in the library. This study included qualitative descriptive research. Research subjects of principals, librarians, teachers and students. The object of this research is the use of school libraries. The validity of the data in this study uses data source triangulation and technique triangulation. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubermen models which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the library at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta in its utilization was very good. The use of the library is realized so that the library becomes the most important part of its existence in the school environment. In the use of libraries in SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta is seen from a complete collection of books, high numbers of student visits to libraries, utilization of library space for activities in teaching and learning processes, libraries are comfortable places for students to do assignments and libraries are a solution for students to borrow books when needing references when learning is taking place. In the use of the library, students are also helped by a good library service.          Keywords: Library use, SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan perpustakaan di SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta, meliputi kehadiran siswa di perpustakaan, Aktfitas siswa di perpustakaan, koleksi buku di perpustakaan dan pelayanan di perpustakaan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, petugas perpustakaan, guru dan siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan perpustakaan sekolah. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan trianggulasi sumber data dan trianggulasi teknik. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Hubermen yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan  di SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta  dalam pemanfaatannya sangat baik. Pemanfaatan perpustakaan diwujudkan agar perpustakaan menjadi bagian terpenting keberadaannya dalam lingkungan sekolah.  Dalam Pemanfaatan perpustakaan di SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarata dilihat dari koleksi buku yang lengkap, tingginya angka kunjungan siswa ke perpustakaan, pemanfaatan ruang perpustakaan untuk kegiatan proses belajar mengajar, perpustakaan menjadi tempat yang nyaman bagi siswa untuk mengerjakan tugas dan  perpustakaan menjadi solusi bagi siswa untuk meminjam buku ketika membutuhkan referensi ketika pembelajaran sedang berangsung. Dalam pemanfaatan perpustakaan, siswa juga terbantu dengan pelayaan perpustakaan yang  baik.Kata kunci: Pemanfaatan perpustakaan, SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan ekstrakurikuler futsal. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah 9 SMP Negeri di Kota Bengkulu. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah Observasi, Angket, dan Dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase perkembangan futsal ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri Bengkulu berkembang 6 sekolah 66,66%, belum berkembang 3 sekolah 33,33%. Setelah mendapatkan persentase data maka dapat dilakukan perbandingan perkembangan ekstrakurikuler futsal di SMP Negeri Kota Bengkulu tingkat bengkulu 6:3. Berdasarkan perolehan data perkembangan ekstrakurikuler futsal di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri Bengkulu harus memperhatikan indikator yang baik seperti peran siswa, pelatih yang kompeten, manajemen yang baik, fasilitas, metode pelatihan. Jadi hasil data yang diperoleh dari sembilan sekolah ada 6 sekolah yang memiliki indikator baik. Sementara 3 sekolah belum terlihat perkembangan indikator yang belum memenuhi proses mendukung pengembangan futsal ekstrakurikuler.Kata Kunci : Perkembangan, Ekstrakurikuler, FutsalAbstractThis study aims to determine the development of futsal extracurricular activities. The method used is descriptive research method. The research subjects were 9 Middle Schools in the City of Bengkulu. The instruments of this study are Observation, Questionnaire, and Documentation. The results showed that the percentage of extracurricular futsal development in Bengkulu State Middle School grew by 6 schools 66.66%, not yet developed 3 schools 33.33%. After getting the percentage of data, we can compare the development of futsal extracurricular activities at Bengkulu City State Middle School bengkulu level 6: 3. Based on data obtained from the development of futsal extracurricular activities in Bengkulu State Junior High School, it must pay attention to good indicators such as competent students, good management facilities, training methods. So the results of data obtained from nine schools have 6 schools that have good indicators. While 3 schools stated that there were no developments in indicators that had not met the process of supporting the development of extracurricular futsal.Keywords: Development, Extracurricular, Futsal

<p>The Nursery Sunday School of GBI Tanah Abang was accustomed to share God’s words by story telling method. Nevertheless, the method raised issues, where the children easily got bored and their faith as well as social behavior were not improved. Based on those issues, the teacher was eager to look for improvement by carrying out classroom action research through active play method. This study aimed at: (1) describing the implementation of active playing method, (2) analyzing children’s faith and social behaviors, (3) identifying the obstacles of active-play method’s implementation. Prior to this study, seven children were chosen as research subjects to participate in three cycles. The data was obtained by observation, field notes, teacher’s interview, lesson plan documentation, and parents’ questionnaires. The study results: (1) improving actions are done according to the active playing method sequences with improvements on the next cycle (2) 86% of all students achieve high level of faith behavior (3) 71% of all students reach intermediate to high level of social behavior (4) arising obstacles are the limitations of students in communication, lack of knowledge and preparation of teachers regarding to playing method, learning time constraints, as well as the limitations of existing facilities.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Sekolah minggu GBI Tanah Abang memiliki kelas untuk anak usia Balita, di mana, firman Tuhan biasa dibagikan dengan menggunakan metode bercerita. Namun hal tersebut membuat anak-anak cepat bosan serta iman dan perilaku sosialnya tidak berkembang. Berdasarkan kerisauan guru tersebut maka dilakukan tindakan perbaikan berupa penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menerapkan metode bermain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan metode bermain, (2) menganalisis perilaku iman dan sosial anak, (3) mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala dalam penerapan metode bermain. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, dengan subjek tujuh anak. Data didapat melalui  observasi, catatan lapangan, wawancara guru, dokumentasi RPP, dan kuesioner kepada orang tua. Setelah itu data dianalisis secara kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) tindakan perbaikan dilakukan sesuai dengan langkah metode bermain dengan penyempurnaan pada siklus berikutnya, (2) terlihat peningkatan perilaku iman hingga 86% siswa mencapai tingkat tinggi, (3) terlihat peningkatan perilaku sosial hingga 71% siswa mencapai tingkat sedang hingga tinggi, (4) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi antara lain keterbatasan siswa dalam berkomunikasi, kurangnya pengetahuan dan persiapan guru mengenai metode bermain, keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, serta keterbatasan fasilitas yang ada.</p>

This research is motivated by problems that have been found such as antipathy, lack of emotional control, undisciplined, ignorant of the environment, less communicative, and inability to make decisions. This study aims to look at the role of scouts extracurricular in the competence of students' social and emotional character development. The research method used in this research is a qualitative approach using a descriptive method, with a case study research design with the research subjects as supervisors, unit builders, board members and members of the scouts at 19 Junior High School, Bandung. Data collection techniques used by researchers are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results showed that the scout extracurricular contributed significantly to the development of social and emotional character including self-awareness, self-management (regulation), social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making. The author provides recommendations for schools to be more morally and materially supportive so that scouts extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 19 Bandung can be more advanced and produce more students who are achievers and smart at the social and emotional competence, also become a good educational activity, not just mere formalities.

AbstractThis study examined the relationship between executive functions (EFs) and school performance in primary and secondary school students aged 8 to 13 years (N = 146, M = 10.4, 45.8% girls). EFs were evaluated using the Trail Making Test (TMT), Verbal Fluency (VF), and the Stroop Test. Students’ GPAs and teachers’ assessment of academic skills were used to measure school performance. To evaluate the students’ social behavior, participants were asked to rate all their classmates’ prosocial behavior and nominate three students with whom they preferred to do school activities; teachers also provided evaluations of students’ social skills. EF measures explained 41% (p = .003, f2 = .694) of variability in school performance and 29% (p = .005, f2 = .401) of variance in social behavior in primary school students. The predictive power of EFs was found to be lower for secondary school students, although the TMT showed significant prediction and explained 13% (p = .004, f2 = .149) of variance in school performance and 15% (p = .008, f2 = .176) in peer ratings of prosocial behavior. This paper discusses the relevance of EFs in the school environment and their different predictive power in primary and secondary school students.

Evolution is a prominent component of biology education and remains controversial among college biology students in the United States who are mostly Christian, but science education researchers have not explored the attitudes of Muslim biology students in the United States. To explore perceptions of evolution among Muslim students in the United States, we surveyed 7,909 college students in 52 biology classes in 13 states about their acceptance of evolution, interest in evolution, and understanding of evolution. Muslim students in our sample, on average, did not agree with items that measured acceptance of macroevolution and human evolution. Further, on average, Muslim students agreed, but did not strongly agree with items measuring microevolution acceptance. Controlling for gender, major, race/ethnicity, and international status, we found that the evolution acceptance and interest levels of Muslim students were slightly higher than Protestant students and students who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, Muslim student evolution acceptance levels were significantly lower than Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist, and Hindu students as well as students who did not identify with a religion (agnostic and atheists). Muslim student understanding of evolution was similar to students from other affiliations, but was lower than agnostic and atheist students. We also examined which variables are associated with Muslim student acceptance of evolution and found that higher understanding of evolution and lower religiosity are positive predictors of evolution acceptance among Muslim students, which is similar to the broader population of biology students. These data are the first to document that Muslim students have lower acceptance of evolution compared to students from other affiliations in undergraduate biology classrooms in the United States.

<p>This study aimed to determine the root of the problem of low quality and image of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran and also to define the strategie to improve the quality and to build the image of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran. This qualitative descriptive study used fishbone analysis and data collection used Focus Group Discussion (FGD), interviews, and study of document. The results showed that the root problem of low quality of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran were learners<br />had low ability, teachers provided less motivation of learning, the willingness of teachers to improve teaching skills were low, teachers were elderly, teachers did not plan learning activities by themselves, school principle had never participated in managerial training, non standard size of classrooms and the library had not been adequate. The root of the problem why the image of SDN Ungaran 02 and 04 were not good enough namely: the lack of academic supervition and extracurricular competent. Strategies to improve the quality and to build image of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran were : a)implementing ongoing supervision by principle to raise teachers motivation, b)proposing for aid to the authorities both for the rehabilitation of classrooms and procurement of books, c) involving school committee in order to improve the school environment, and d) forming school developer team in academic achievement and extracurricular activities.</p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk infiltrasi budaya global dalam pesta  Baratan serta pengaruhnya terhadap perubahan perilaku sosial masyarakat Jepara. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen dan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan budaya global yang masuk melalui pesta Baratan berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan perilaku sosial yang sedang berkembang dalam masyarakat Jepara. AbstractThis study aims to determine the form of global cultural infiltration in the Baratan festival and its influence on social behavior changes in Jepara society. The study conducted with qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were determined by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis and were analyzed using the interactive analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman models. The results showed that the global culture that entered through the Baratan festival influenced the formation of social behavior that was developing in Jepara society.

AbstractReligious education is intended to realize the Indonesian human resources that are faithful and devoted to God the Almighty and have the advantage of noble morality which is a necessity in education and learning. To achieve such a lofty goal, it would require a variety of efforts or learning strategies, one of which is a Islamic Education study (PAI), as an attempt to create a religiousschool environment. The study was conducted at SMAN 3 Bandung, with the aim of describing: 1) Perception of the principal on PAI, 2) perceptions of students about PAI, and 3) Strategies of PAI in creating a religious school environment. The study result shows that the principal holds very positive view on PAI, which is manifested in the form of policy towards the implementation of PAI learning in intra-curricular and extracurricular activities. One of PAI learning strategies adopted is to integrate extracurricular activities (mentoring) and PAI in a program called the MT-PAI (Integrated Mentoring Islamic Education). The activity works well because of the positive student perceptions on PAI that PAI is quite interesting and easy to learn and the material is easy to be practiced in everyday life. AbstrakPembelajaran pendidikan agama dimaksudkan untuk mewujudkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) Indonesia yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa serta memiliki keunggulan akhlakul karimah, ini merupakan suatu keniscayaan dalam pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan yang mulia tersebut, maka diperlukan berbagai upaya ataupun strategi pembelajaran, salah satunya adalah strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agam Islam (PAI), sebagai upaya untuk mewujudkan lingkungan sekolah yang religius. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA N 3 Bandung, dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang: 1) Persepsi pimpinan sekolah tentang PAI, 2) persepsi siswa tentang PAI, dan 3) Strategi PAI dalam mewujudkan lingkungan sekolah yang religius. Hasil dari penelitian adalah, bahwa pimpinan (kepala sekolah) berpandangan sangat positif terhadap PAI, yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk kebijakan terhadap penyelenggaraan pembelajaran PAI dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran PAI yang diterapkan adalah dengan mengintegrasikan antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler (mentoring) dengan mata pelajaran PAI yang disebut dengan MT-PAI (Mentoring Terintegrasi Pendidikan Agama Islam). Kegiatan tersebut dapat berjalan dengan baik, karena diimbangi persepsi siswa yang positif terhadap PAI, bahwa PAI cukup menarik dan mudah untuk dipelajari, dan materinya mudah dipraktikkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
