The problem of creating institutional trust in modern Russian society is considered on the example of advertising activities of companies that produce and promote drugs on the consumer market. In order to identify techniques that contribute to the effective impact on the recipient – the formation of a trusting attitude towards the advertised product, the commercials shown on Russian television from 2010 to 2020 were analyzed. Using the methods of content analysis, discourse and stylistic analysis, elements of component and distributive analysis, it has been established that professional participants in medical advertising discourse use such techniques as the use of toponyms, lexical units borrowed from military discourse, terms, words with positive or negative connotations, presentation of statistical data, construction of a first-person statement, rhetorical questions. It was found that the mention of the country of origin of the drug, which is authoritative for the Russian consumer, has a positive effect on the confidence of patients in this drug; military vocabulary evokes associations with speed, accuracy, direction, strength and testifies to the effectiveness of the drug; medical, chemical, biological terms, statistical data objectify the transmitted information; rhetorical questions, self-narrative and others contribute to the establishment of close contact with the consumer.

As you know, the study of the past, present and such a vague future of society (and its number of classes) still attracts the gaze of many representatives of the scientific academic society (including colleagues in the sociological workshop). This article is a review of the monograph of corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Zh.T. Toshchenko “Precariat: from the proto-class to the new class”, published in 2018 by “Nauka” publishing house. The monograph allows the reader to feel how rapidly the socio-class structure of foreign, Soviet, and then Russian society was changing. In it, Zh.T. Toshchenko clearly reflects the historical aspects of the development and functioning of a new social class — the “precariat”. The conclusion is proved that the precariat does not have a clear vision of its future, confidence in the security of its personal life and the guarantee of a quiet old age at the end of employment. An impressive number of foreign and domestic statistical data further confirms the conclusions of reasonable Zh.T. Toshchenko. In the future, the author of the monograph explores the consequences of the existence and functioning of this new social-class phenomenon.

Significance. The self-assessment of the health of Russians, as well as the real indicators of health, is lower than in the developed countries of the world. Studies of this indicator can serve as a scientific basis for the development and implementation of preventive programs in the field of health and a healthy lifestyle. Purpose: determining the place of health in the hierarchy of values, establishing the level of satisfaction with health, and the characteristics of health self-assessments among married urban residents. Material and Methods. Research of the Family Sociology and Demography Department of the Sociological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University (2018-2019) “Interregional sociological and demographic study of the family-child lifestyle values” (SeDOJ-2019), supplemented by data from the European Social Survey (8th and 9th waves, 2016, 2018-2019) and Rosstat data. Results. The analysis shows that health occupies a leading position among life values. The value of health is higher for the elderly, as well as for those who are in a registered marriage and have children. Self-assessments of health and marital status are not unambiguously related, at younger ages there is practically no dependence on status, with increasing age it becomes positive, especially for men. An increase in the number of children in a family has practically no effect on the subjective assessments of women's health and has a positive effect on men's self-assessments. Satisfaction with the children's health grows with the growth of the number of children among respondents of both sexes. Higher levels of education and income have a positive effect on self-reported health and satisfaction. There is an inverse relationship between age and self-assessments of health, as in the whole world, but in Russia, the fall in self-assessments with age is deeper and occurs at younger ages than in Western Europe. Scope of application. The data presented in the article can serve as the basis for a differentiated policy aimed at increasing the value of health, improving the degree of its implementation in the practices of self-preserving behavior, as well as strengthening the intrafamily transmission of healthy lifestyle values in Russian society.

The structure of the business environment, as part of the socio-economic situation, indirectly affects a citizen’s quality of life. A “friendly” business environment has a positive effect on job formation, thus helping with employment. A country encourages formation and development of large enterprises through various incentives that reduce regional disparities, especially in less-developed regions. Nevertheless, a huge majority of enterprises in the European Union are small- and medium-sized. Self-employed persons are considered a specific form of business. Their activity is strongly influenced by state policy. This paper analyzes the business environment in regions of the Slovak Republic. Its principal aim is to examine the development of regional disparities and the related quality of citizens’ lives. An evaluation of statistical data of the structure of the business environment in the Slovak Republic indicated a change in legal units in relation to business. Although the number of legal units are stable, the number of legal persons has increased and that of natural persons-entrepreneurs decreased. Deepening of regional disparities was not observed across regions of the Slovak Republic.

The paper considers modern approaches to the study of social dynamics, which are conceptually reflected in theories of social quality of life, linking economic and statistical data with indicators reflecting integrative relationships and forms of social interaction. An attempt to assess the effectiveness of these theoretical and methodological approaches is carried out in the context of analyzing such a problem in Russian society as the increased level of emigration in recent years.

The author proposes to consider the process of optimization of social partnership management with regard to its competitive forms, relying on fairly representative and fairly numerous results of specific sociological studies carried out over more than three decades. The structure of competitive forms of social partnership and its changes over several decades in modern Russian society are analyzed. The main determinants defining the development of competitive forms of social partnership are presented. The main consequences (effects) of various competitive forms of social partnership for the productivity of activities, interpersonal relations and personal development are revealed. In particular, it is found that the strongest positive effect on practically all aspects of human life is provided by cooperative forms of social partnership and passive forms of competitiveness and individualism have the greatest negative effect. It is proposed to use the revealed patterns of competitive forms of social partnership in order to optimize management both in the system of social partnership and social interaction in general.

The article examines linguo-axiological specificity of the regional media discoursethrough integration of functional stylistics, discourse analysis and axiological linguisticsmethods. The material for semantic and stylistic analysis includes over 2500 texts of the citynewspaper “Kuznetsky rabochy” (Novokuznetsk, Russia) since 1980 to 2014. Appeal to mediatexts of this period is tied with important changes in spiritual life of Russian society. Thesechanges were caused by perestroika, as well as by the transformation of modern personal valuesystem. According to results of the research, it is possible to conclude that the value categoryof truth is the base of the axiological sphere supra-regional component in a local edition. On thecontrary, the base of the axiological sphere regional component in local mass media performscommemorative and local historical function. This function determines semantic and stylisticfeatures of the main hypertopic (topic of a region, city) and of local historical dominants ina regional edition.
