ABSTRACT Objectives: to discuss the curricular reforms adopted for nursing teaching in Brazil, from 1969 to 2019. Methods: historical, qualitative approach using the thematic oral history and document research. 13 interviews were carried out with graduation nursing professors from a federal university in the South of Brazil. The document sources were the political-pedagogical projects of the course and their associated documents. Minayo’s thematic analysis was used. Results: nursing curricula delineates the profile of the professional that must be formed and are reviewed in order to be adapted to social and educational changes, showing the scientific and professional potential of the nurse. Curricular reforms consider the quality of nursing formation. Final Considerations: the structure of the curriculum and the reforms that took place emerged according to the historical, political, epidemiological and social context demanded from the profession, to attend to the demands of society and to the work market.

O objetivo deste artigo é descrever a experiência de uma pesquisa de campo qualitativa em Geografia, com uma abordagem humanista. A pesquisa de campo foi feita no município de Itacaré, sul do estado da Bahia, com o propósito compreender como os sujeitos de Itacaré percebem o rio das Contas, qual é o significado do rio para eles. Como método de pesquisa de campo, optamos pela história oral e pelas técnicas da entrevista, da observação e, ainda, pelo registro de paisagens através de fotografias. A nossa presença em Itacaré foi importante para o êxito da pesquisa porque pudemos conhecer melhor as pessoas e o seu cotidiano, fato que contribuiu para a qualidade das informações contidas nas 41 entrevistas feitas. Também, essa convivência com as pessoas do lugar foi uma grande experiência vivida na perspectiva da Geografia Humanista. Abstract QUALITATIVE FIELD RESEARCH: EXPERIENCE IN HUMANISTIC GEOGRAPHY This paper aims at describing the experience of a qualitative field research in Geography under a humanistic approach. The field research was carried out in Itacaré, located in the south of Bahia state, aiming at understanding how the individuals from Itacaré perceive Rio das Contas, what the river means to them. We have chosen oral history as field research method and the techniques of oral interview, observation and the record of landscapes through photography. Our presence in Itacaré was critical for the field research’s success as we could get to know better the people and their everyday life, which contributed for the quality of the information contained in the 41 oral interviews collected. Also, staying with these people was a valuable experience under the Humanistic Geography perspective.

EDUCATION AND PEASANT RESISTANCE IN THE PARAENSE AMAZONIAEDUCACIÓN Y RESISTENCIA CAMPESINA EN LA AMAZONIA PARAENSERESUMOEste artigo é fruto dos apontamentos da pesquisa de mestrado desenvolvida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Agriculturas Amazônicas (PPGAA) da Universidade Federal do Pará – UFPA. Aborda os desafios da luta pela terra no Sudeste Paraense, refletindo sobre o papel da educação nesse processo. Ele aponta a educação que permeia o cotidiano das pessoas, como elemento que fortalece a resistência política dos camponeses, por isso, não está apenas relacionada à conquista da terra, mas também, à permanência na mesma e à mudança da qualidade de vida nos acampamentos e assentamentos. O artigo é resultado de um estudo de caso, desenvolvido no Acampamento Sem Terra, denominado de Dalcídio Jurandir, localizado no Sudeste Paraense e encaminhado por uma abordagem qualitativa. Entende-se que o movimento social busca uma educação que dê conta de compreender as circunstâncias vividas a partir de suas contradições sociais, tendo a mesma lógica de resistência do campesinato, porque é nele que ela tem sua raiz histórica. Trata-se de uma educação que antecede à escola e vai muito além dela.Palavras-chave: Educação; Luta pela Terra; Resistência Camponesa.ABSTRACTThis article is the result of the master's research notes developed in the Postgraduate Program in Amazon Agriculture (PPGAA) of the Federal University of Pará – UFPA. It addresses the challenges of the struggle for land in Southeast Pará, reflecting on the role of education in this process. This paper points out the education that permeates people's daily lives, as an element that strengthens the political resistance of the peasants, therefore, it is not only related to the conquest of the land, but also to the permanence in it and to the change in the quality of life in the encampments and settlements. The article is the result of a case study, developed at the agrarian reform camp, called Dalcídio Jurandir, located in Southeast Pará and guided by a qualitative approach. It is understood that the social movement seeks an education that is able to understand the circumstances experienced from its social contradictions, having the same logic of resistance as the peasantry, because it has its historical roots in it. ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the family dynamics in face of the reality of the elderly living alone. Method: study of qualitative approach with theoretical reference of symbolic interactionism that involved interviews with families. Data were analyzed by thematic analysis. Results: six families participated in the study. The discourse analysis originated the following categories: The family respecting their decision making; The family organizing itself to the process of living alone after the age of 80 years; The family experiencing the freedom of living alone. Conclusion: in this study, it was possible to identify the facilitation of the possibility of living alone with preparation and agreements between the family during the family life cycle, leading to the feeling of freedom and quality of life of all members. Nursing, as a science responsible for elaborating care strategies, should work together with families to assist in the planning of care plans based on the individual social reality of the family.

Socio-cultural and political changes occurred significantly in Chinese people in Indonesia after the fall of the new order. Gus Dur issued a revitalization policy of Chinese customs and beliefs as well as revoked Presidential Instruction numbered 14 of 1967. The shift in the political climate encouraged Chinese people to participate in the community, including from Chinese Muslims. Within Persatuan Islam Indonesia (PITI), they try to consolidate in order to adapt and exist. The objective of this research is to examine participatory strategy and PITI organizational dynamic in post-reformation Yogyakarta and use qualitative approach and phenomenology as a method. According to the analysis, keeping Chinese identity and being Javanese are cultural strategies in communicating Islam and methodology of adaptation. Manifested Chinese traditional elements (oral history, mythology, and philosophy) show dialogue and open-mindedness this community in the society. As a result, Chinese Muslims community plays a role as cultural broker between Chinese ethnicity and Yogyakarta Muslim society.

Esta escrita objetiva demonstrar o protagonismo político e cultural dos moradores do quilombo Boqueirão da Arara, no estado do Ceará, em seu percurso de autorreconhecimento e legitimação oficial como comunidade de descendentes de antigos escravos. Para tanto, recorre-se metodologicamente à pesquisa participante; como procedimento técnico, à abordagem qualitativa e às técnicas da História Oral, além da prática de observação direta e ao uso de entrevistas abertas para coletar dados e compreender o que os quilombolas veem, creem e pensam acerca de seu legado cultural e de sua ancestralidade, por meio da análise de suas narrativas. Entre os resultados obtidos, antecipa-se que o protagonismo político do grupo conquistou para a comunidade o reconhecimento legal de seu povoado como sendo legítimo território remanescente de quilombos tradicionais. No tocante ao protagonismo cultural, conclui-se que, se mantêm nas famílias saberes geracionais legados de seus antepassados escravos, cujas práticas sociais estão ligadas à coleta de frutas em pomares herdados, agricultura de subsistência, atividades de pastoreio de reses e pequenas criações e produção de peças artesanais com elementos naturais da região.THE QUILOMBOLA PROTAGONISM IN BOQUEIRÃO DA ARARA COMMUNITY, CEARÁAbstract: This article aims to demonstrate the political and cultural protagonism of the residents of the Boqueirão da Arara quilombo, in the state of Ceará, in their journey of self-recognition and official legitimation as a community of descendants of former slaves. For this purpose, we used the participant research as methodology, the qualitative approach and techniques of oral history as a technical procedure, besides the practice of direct observation and the use of open interviews to collect data and to understand what the quilombolas see, believe and think about their cultural legacy and their ancestry, through the analysis of their narratives. Among the results obtained, we anticipate that the political protagonism of the group conquered for the community the legal recognition of its settlement as being a legitimate remnant territory of traditional quilombos. With regard to cultural protagonism, the conclusion is that the families maintain the generational knowledge of their slave ancestors, whose social practices link to the collection of fruits in inherited orchards, subsistence agriculture, cattle grazing activities and production of handmade pieces with natural elements of the region.Keywords: Quilombo. Para ello, se trabaja metodológicamente con la investigación participante; como procedimiento técnico, se utilizan el abordaje cualitativo y las técnicas de la Historia Oral, además de la práctica de observación directa y de entrevistas abiertas para colectar datos y comprender qué ven, creen y piensan los quilombolas sobre su legado cultural y su ancestralidad mediante el análisis de sus narrativas. Entre los resultados obtenidos, se constata que el protagonismo político del grupo conquistó para la comunidad el reconocimiento legal de su pueblo como siendo legítimo territorio remanente de quilombos tradicionales. En el tocante al protagonismo cultural, se concluye que se mantienen en las familias saberes generacionales legados de sus antepasados cautivos, cuyas prácticas sociales están vinculadas a la colecta de frutas en pomares heredados, agricultura de subsistencia, actividades de ganado y pequeñas crianzas y producción de artesanías con elementos naturales de la región.Palabras clave: Quilombo. This article aimed to analyze the life quality in a private higher education institution, from the point of view of students, through the value co-creation in higher education. Methodologically, research is characterized as a case study, and the unit of analysis was a University located in the Rio Pardo/RS Valley, in the south of Brazil where five students from the courses of administration and accounting sciences were selected to apply the research. The data collection was done through interviews, carried out through there is a script of questions previously established. The results highlight that the life quality in the university is directly related to the co-creation, on the one hand there is the desire to learn from the students and on the other the quality of the information that is passed on to them. The research also shows that the quality of life in the University is directly linked to student satisfaction and value creation, resulting from individual or joint actions (institution, professor and student).

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the constituting knowledge of militant nurses in trade associations. Method: Historical research, based on the oral history method, with a qualitative approach carried out with 11 nurses who are/were militants for professional issues since the 1980s in the state of Bahia. The data collected through semi-structured interviews were organized in the software n-vivo 10 and analyzed based on dialectical hermeneutics. Results: We identified pedagogical, administrative, public health, sociological, and trade union background knowledge as constituent of militant individuals. Final considerations: The constituting knowledge of militant nurses are inscribed in the Social Sciences, distanced from biomedical knowledge and power, pointing at ways for structuring nursing curricula. We identified the Brazilian Association of Nursing as a space for political formation.

Objective: to identify situations of pleasure and suffering in the process of training multidisciplinary health resident. Method: qualitative research, developed in the Multiprofessional Residence Program in Health at a university from the south of Brazil. Data was collected in 2013 through focus groups with nine residents, and analyzed according to a thematic analysis. Results: The situations of suffering were stimulated by negative situations undergone by the health workers such as difficulties in participating in other professional training activities, excessive number of activities the residents commit to as health workers, lack of knowledge and hindered integration in the areas of Residency. The situations of pleasure were a result of the multiprofessional activities developed and the resident's larning possibility. Conclusion: The situations of pleasure and suffering identified can help in the planning of institutional actions that contribute to a professional training process and the overall wellbeing of the residents.

Objective: to identify the main ethical problems and how these relate to the moral sensitivity of nurses working in a general medicine ward. Method: this qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study was conducted in a university hospital located in the south of Brazil. A total of 18 nurses working in a general medicine ward were interviewed. A semi-structured interview script was used, and data were analyzed using discursive textual analysis. Results: nurses considered the main ethical problems to include conflicts at the institutional level, situations involving conflicts with patients and/or family members, and conflicts within the staff. The perception of nurses and how they deal with these problems relate to moral sensitivity. Two categories emerged: experiencing ethical problems, and relationship with moral sensitivity. Conclusion: because of the multidimensional nature of moral sensitivity, it trains and enables nurses to recognize and deal with ethical problems faced in clinical practice so that nurses become able to make fair and prudent decisions, improving the quality of nursing care.

This is a Professional Master’s dissertation project on Education in Health, Fluminense Federal University. Aims: to identify the work processes of professionals in the Primary Care context as regards the production and use of health records; to discuss the importance of information management in a healthcare setting and its relevance to the quality of nursing records. Method: this is a descriptive exploratory study using a qualitative approach of three healthcare units in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The subjects are 12 nursing professionals who operate in these units. Data will be collected by semi-structured interviews between December 2015 and January 2016, and will be processed using content analysis.
