ABSTRACT Purpose: to verify the prevalence of well-being and its association with sociodemographic features, health and work-related conditions, and vocal behavior in elementary school teachers in the city of Pelotas, RS. Methods: a cross-sectional observational study with 575 teachers from urban and rural areas. The participants answered a structured questionnaire that included items on sociodemographic, health and work-related conditions. The Faces Scale (Andrews) was used to evaluate their psychological well-being. The Vocal Behavior Profile verified occurrences of abuse and vocal misuse. Poisson regression was used for the multivariate analysis. Results: of the total sample, 79.5% of teachers experienced well-being. It was observed that vocal behavior profile was significantly associated with well-being, and the number of students in the classroom showed a trend towards significance. Conclusion: most teachers had a satisfactory well-being perception. Moreover, a lower well-being perception in the teaching population was mainly related to abusive vocal behavior and, less clearly, to the high number of students per classroom.

Spirituality and religiosity are increasingly becoming a necessity for each individual in supporting the quality and well-being of life. Student involvement in self-reflection affects their spirituality / religiosity. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-reflection and spirituality/religiousness (S/R), which is moderated by gender. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study sample consisted of 124 students with a mean age of 19.4 years. The total sample was obtained from 98 women and 26 men. Sample selected from students majoring in Elementary School Teachers (PGSD) in various semesters with a purposive sampling method. Measuring instruments used are the Ironson-Wood Spirituality/religiousness Index (IWSRI) and The Self-Reflection and Insight Scale (SRIS). Data analysis using Process Macros. The results showed that there was a significant effect of self-reflection on spirituality/religiousness (B=0.669; p=0.000) and gender could not moderate the effect of self-reflection on spirituality/religiousness on students of Elementary School Teachers (PGSD) (B=-0.317; p=0.369). Based on research conducted, it can be concluded that self-reflection significantly influences spirituality/religiousness, and gender is not able to strengthen or weaken the effect of self-reflection on spirituality/religiousness; thus, gender cannot become a moderator between self-reflection and spirituality/religiousness.

The conclusion is the influence of long standing factors, age, obesity and the use of high heels on VVTB in elementary school teachers in Securai Selatan Village, Babalan Subdistrict, Langkat Regency in 2019. The research suggestion is that teachers are expected to prevent VVTB by minimizing the work of teachers who are dominated by standing length of time in teaching and limiting the use of high heels to less than or equal to 5 cm because the use of shoes more than 5 cm is easier for potential varicose veins in the lower limbs

Background and objectives: Changes in teachers’ work situation in Sweden since the 1990s may have contributed to an increase in common mental disorders (CMDs) and burnout. However, there is a lack of research in this field. The aim was to describe how Swedish elementary school teachers experience their health, organizational and social work environment, and the psychosocial safety climate at the workplace, and especially differences and similarities between female and male teachers. Materials and methods: Data were collected with the COPSOQ, OLBI, UWES and PSC-12 from 478 elementary teachers, 81.0% of them women, from twenty schools. The response rate was 96.4%. Results: Teachers reported relatively good general health but experienced high stress, high work pace and emotional demands, low influence at work and a poor psychosocial safety climate. These factors were especially prominent among female teachers. Both women and men experienced good development possibilities and high work engagement. Conclusions: The results of this study can help us to develop a more sustainable work environment for female and male teachers. A more sustainable work environment might attract more people to the profession and incentivize existing teachers to remain in the profession.

This paper discusses Internet-related information behaviours of elementary school teachers in Taiwan, investigating their information needs, seeking behaviors, and use within an educational context. This study places an emphasis on investigating both work and non-work related use of Internet information by elementary school teachers. Research participants responded to a questionnaire on their internet search behaviours. In-depth interviews of 30 respondents were then performed. Results show that the boundary between work and non-work related use of the Internet is blurring. Participating elementary school teachers in Taiwan use the Internet for many tasks, and there are several technical and personal barriers to overcome before the technology can be fully utilized in the daily activities of educators.
