The paper presents an attempt to identify methodological problems in the research into the processes of globalization. Originally globalization was treated as a homogeneous process, leaving its impress on the ground of economic and social sciences. Later, however, scientists realized that globalization triggers a lot of processes, part of which are known, but many of which we are not aware of. In this context, it is more proper to write and talk not about globalization but about the processes of globalization. The author understands the processes of globalization as a whole of the processes which occur on the social- economic and political plane. The processes lighten mutual connections between countries, regions or single people, and their consequences. According to the author, the main problems in the research into processes of globalization are: problems with defining the subject of research, lack of proper methodology and methods of research, interdisciplinary problems and problems with objectivity of facts. The selection of proper research methods to conduct the research into the processes of globalization poses a lot of difficulties. They result from the fact that geography has worked out a lot of detailed research methods, used to describe quantitative phenomena, which are the essence of globalization, using qualitative methods. At this stage of research, the essence of globalization can be captured by using systematic approach in an idiographic sense.

The article investigates the possibilities of scientific activity on the basis of pedagogical universities in the educational process of physics. It is emphasized that the research activity of students will be the most effective in the case of its implementation within a comprehensive, purposeful and methodologically sound system. It is proved that only under such conditions it will fulfill its main functions and ensure that students master a range of different types of research activities, which will allow future professionals to enrich their work with elements of a scientific approach to solving practical problems. Emphasis is placed on the fact that solving the problem of organizing the research activities of students, first of all, requires a significant strengthening of the research and innovation component of the educational process. It is believed that the main role in solving this important task can be performed by scientific schools, and therefore innovative transformations in the activities of institutions of higher pedagogical education should begin with the revival of scientific schools, reviewing their status and real contribution to science. It is stated that due to objective and subjective reasons, scientific schools have now degraded to some extent. It is shown that scientists of scientific schools, which operate on the basis of pedagogical universities, must have not only significant abilities in conducting directly applied research, but also a full range of scientific and methodological skills, which is related to the specifics of work in higher pedagogical school. The role of the well-known in Ukraine and abroad scientific school of academician MI is noted. Jester in the study of thermal and relaxation phenomena in polymer composites. It is emphasized that the scientists who are part of the scientific school not only successfully solve the problems of modern thermophysics of polymers, but also provide constant acquaintance of students with the latest achievements in this scientific field. It is stated that scientific schools should become a factor in preserving the scientific heritage and national values of Ukrainian education and science. Key words: educational and scientific potential of pedagogical universities, integration of educational and scientific components of the educational system, scientific schools.

This article will carry out an analysis of female participation in science, considering the Brazilian system of graduate studies and scientific research as a casestudy. Goals. Considering that science is a central supporting structure for modernsocieties, a detailed analysis of the scientific power structure behind academic policycreation can reveal aspects of androcentrism in scientific activity. The main goal of thiswork is to identify the process of misogyny in science through the description of itsreproductive pattern. Theoretical and methodological procedures. The concept of ascientific field developed by Bourdieu is used to analyze the data identifying thedynamic structure of misogyny in science. Initially, a historical and present-day outlineis constructed in such a manner. This panoramic description is analyzed, taking intoconsideration the essential elements for knowledge production in Brazil, includingwomen participation in the initial levels of scientific research as undergraduate andgraduate students, in the organization of research groups, and in their participation atsenior management positions in science. Results. A significant increase in femalepercentage in scientific activities is observed at the initial and intermediary levels, except for the most prestigious areas as hard science. However, a scissor effect isidentified between the initial level and the more prominent positions. At the top of thescientific career, the presence of women is extremely low. This unbalanced participationreveals that female occupations in science are basically as labor force since in thiscareer, women are quite far from the social circles of decisions.

The article is devoted to the specialists’ training in mastering the methodology of project management as an important component in the implementation of educational programs. It was found that an important condition for effective and innovative scientific activity is the readiness of the individual for research work, his research activity, research behaviour, and therefore, knowledge of the essence of methodology and organization of research project management is mandatory. In particular, it is reasonably expedient to form readiness for such activities in applicants of the third (educational-scientific) level of 'PhD' as future researchers who obtain an education and at the same time the first science degree.  The objective of the article is to summarize the practical experience of preparing PhD applicants in the speciality '231 Social Work' to manage research projects as part of the educational and scientific program 'Social Work'. Analysis of the project activities of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education allows us to conclude that active participants in the development and implementation of research projects are doctoral candidates (a third (educational and scientific) level of higher education, the educational and scientific program "Social Work"). It is important to note that these projects, although they have different forms of implementation (from socio-cultural practices to youth policy), at the same time meet the requirements of an interdisciplinary approach and have a social focus. This corresponds both to the national requirements for PhD training and to international standards and recommendations for ensuring the quality of PhD programs in social work.  At the same time, such practical project activity, along with studying the theoretical principles of research project management, allows PhD students to form program results to determine the goals, content and structure of research projects, analyze financial needs and funding sources, control the project implementation process and adjust its implementation plan; project risk management, etc.

Research activity is an integral function of modern higher education, since withoutthe development of scientific research, the training of graduates cannot be carried out at asufficient level of modern preparation of scientific research. Despite the fact that scientificactivity is carried out in two interrelated forms - individual and collective, in recent years, mostscientific research is carried out by scientific teams, and not by individual scientists. On thebasis of this important issue, research the effectiveness and efficiency of research teams, through the methods of their formation and functioning. In addition, the issue of motivation for scientific work of the research and teaching staff of the university is important. To analyzethe above aspects, we carried out a sociological study that was implemented in two stages - amass survey (N = 211) and a series of in-depth interviews (N = 15) among scientists of the UralFederal University named after the first President of Russia B.N.Yeltsin. The article presentssome of the results of the analysis, in particular, the author comes to the conclusion that establishingties between scientists and joint work in a research team is an important conditionfor increasing the productivity and efficiency of scientific activity, and the desire for scientificcooperation indicates a desire to achieve a higher level of performance scientific activity.
