<p><em>This study aims to: 1) find out the formal education level of Banjarsari Village, Ngronggot Subdistrict, Nganjuk Regency, 2) find out the perceptions of Banjarsari Village, Ngronggot Subdistrict, Nganjuk Regency towards higher education, 3)</em><em> </em><em>find out the meaning of rural community perceptions of higher education with theoretical concepts George Herbert Mead. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, which is describing and interpreting existing data to describe reality in accordance with the actual phenomenon. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the formal education level of the Banjarsari Village community is still low, where elementary school education is 612 people with a percentage of 22.18%, junior high school as many as 739 people with a percentage of 26.78%, high school as many as 1094 people with a percentage of 39.65 %, Colleges as many as 142 people with a percentage of 5.14%, and not as many as 172 with a percentage of 6.23%, 2) the perceptions of rural communities in the village of Banjarsari towards tertiary education are quite good, but to realize their children go on to college less, 3) the relevance of the perceptions of rural communities in higher education and the concept of George Herbert Mead's theory, can be seen from internal factors, namely the economic level and educational background of parents, while external factors, namely the environment.</em></p><p class="CPKeyword">Keywords: Rural Society; Higher education; George Herbert Mead's theory</p>

Abstract Background Even though the Indonesian government have set regulations for maintaining exclusive breastfeeding practices, the coverage remains low. The study aims to analyze the effects of mother’s education level on the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia. Methods This study used data from the 2017 Nutrition Status Monitoring Survey. It covered data of 53,528 children under 5 years old (7–59 months) as the samples. Variables included exclusive breastfeeding status, mother’s education level, mother’s age, marital status, employment status, gender, residence, under five’s age and gender. A binary logistics regression was performed in the final test. Results Mothers who graduated from elementary school were 1.167 times more likely to perform exclusive breastfeeding compared to mothers who never attended schools. Additionally, those who graduated from junior high school had 1.203 times possibilities to give exclusive breastfeeding compared to mothers without educational records. While, mothers who graduated from high school were 1.177 times more likely to perform exclusive breastfeeding compared to those without educational records. Mothers who graduated from tertiary education had 1.203 times more possibilities to perform exclusive breastfeeding compared to mothers who were never enrolled to schools. Other variables also became affecting predictors on exclusive breastfeeding, such as mother’s age, mother’s employment status, child’s age, and residence. Conclusions The mother’s education level positively affects exclusive breastfeeding practice in Indonesia.

Background: Additive Substance or that recognized with Indirect material substance is indirect material at food that is added to add flavour at food, in order to food drawing appearance, durable, and easy to transport and distribute. This Research is conducted to know formal influence of education level cloister trader to the usage of additive substance at food all the way Mastrip, Street of Kalimantan and Street of Java, Jember in 2016. This is the analytic survey research with cross sectional approach using sample cloister trader all the way Mastrip, Street of Kalimantan and Street of Java that sell food by using total technique sampling of 104 respondents. Analysis that is used is linear regression. After conducting interview by questionnaire it was obtained the following primary data 10 traders (9,6 %) by level of College education, 49 samples (47,1%) finish high school, 23 traders (22,1 %) finish junior high school, 19 traders (18,3) finish basic school and 3 traders (2,9 %) not finish basic school. From research result got influence that have a meaning of from variable formal education level 19%. Conclusion that got from this research result, after conducted linear analysis of regression test with a = 0,05 then got probability value from formal education level is 0,000. This condition indicates that there is formal influence of education level cloister trader to the usage of additive substance at food.Key Words : education level, additive substance, cloister trader

Abstrak "Pendidikan adalah kesadaran untuk mengembangkan kepribadian dan kemampuan di dalam dan luar sekolah dan berlangsung seumur hidup", yang dilaksanakan di dalam lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Suatu lembaga pendidikan pasti mengharapkan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang mana dapat membantu terwujudnya tujuan nasional. Keterpaduan pendidikan baik keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat sangat menentukan keberhasilan dalam dunia pendidikan. Keluarga merupakan lembaga pendidikan tertua, yang pertama dan utama dialami oleh anak dan lembaga pendidikan yang bersifat kodrat. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal hakekatnya merupakan lembaga yang mendapat kepercayaan dari orang tua untuk mendidik anak-anaknya dengan tanggung jawab yang terbatas, sesuai dengan fungsi dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Orang tua khususnya ibu mempunyai andil keberhasilan anaknya. Ibu adalah pendidik pertama, utama dan kodrat. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan judul " Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di tinjau dari tingkat Pendidikan Ibu Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian yang ditemukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan kategori sarjana lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tingkat pendidikan SLTA/SMK dan SLTP dalam hal mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak Rumbai Kota Perkanbaru   Abstract Education is understanding to develop the personality and in and out of school and lasted for hidup' , which was carried out within the family , schools and the community .An institution must expect the achievement of the aims of education where it can help maintaining national goals .Both the integrated education , schools and community it is the success in education sector .The family was the oldest educational institutions , first and foremost for children and educational institution that is nature .Schools as formal educational institutions is a substance that was commissioned from parents to educate anak-anaknya with limited responsibility , in accordance with its function and purpose the educational institutions. Parents especially mother have a share the success of his son.Mother is educator first, main and partaking. AbstractThe problem of Human Resources (HR) in Indonesia is becoming increasingly complex, this is reflected in the large number of formal education graduates from various levels who are not absorbed in the world of work. Many factors cause this to happen, including the mismatch between HR competencies and the labor market, the growth of the workforce is greater than the availability of available employment and population distribution between regions is not evenly distributed. If you look at the achievements of Indonesian tertiary education graduates, many of Indonesian tertiary education graduates are slow to get jobs, this shows that there is a broken link between higher education and the world of work. Higher education has not been able to produce graduates with high selling prices armed with the knowledge they have learned even though in general higher education graduates have greater employment opportunities than high school or lower level graduates. Many realities on the ground show that the quality of Indonesian people as a potential resource still does not meet expectations. This happens because of the low quality of education in Indonesia. By fulfilling good educational needs, the students will get benefits and can improve the quality of life of the knowledge they have, so that after completing their education, they can get decent jobs or create quality jobs. Indonesia's education world must start to build links with the world of work, so that the world of work responds to graduates produced in accordance with what the world of work wants; this paradigm must be understood and built by the Indonesian government. Education transformation is needed so that education is able to produce reliable and resilient human resources; education and educators must be improved.

The implementation of educational program for all through distance learning is expected to match with the condition of Indonesia’s geography, demography, and culture that vary from one place to another. In terms of the implementation of the nine-year basic education compulsion program, Indonesia has carried out various programs, such as Package A (equal to elementary school) and Package B (equal to open junior high school) programs in many parts of provinces in Indonesia. This ‘open junior high school’ model has even been adopted as ‘open Islamic junior high school’ in other provinces. At the level of tertiary education, there is open university, as stated in the Act on National Education System No. 20 of 2003

National Final Examination is one of the tests that must be passed by each student in Indonesia who want to continue to pursue higher education. The test could cause anxiety on students due to graduation standards. One of the things that influence anxiety toward this test is individual characteristic especially the ability to regulate emotions which are very closely related to emotional intelligence. The sample of this study was 350 students in grade 3 junior high school that will facing National Final Examination from three schools in Banda Aceh. Data collected by The Emotional Intelligence Scale and The Anxiety Toward National Final Examination Scale. The results showed a correlation coefficient r = – 0.376, p = 0.000 ( P <0.05 ). This result implied that there is a negative correlation between emotional intelligence with anxiety toward National Final Examination in grade 3 junior high school’s students in Banda Aceh.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Anxiety, National Final Examination.

Background: This study aims to learn the demographic and surgical characteristics of patients who underwent no-scalpel vasectomy in Indonesia and to compare patient’s demographic characteristics before and after legal pronouncement/fatwa issued by Indonesia Ulema Council in July 2012. Methods: This is a retrospective study that collected data from the vasectomy medical records of patients who underwent no-scalpel vasectomy between January 2010 and May 2017. A total of 1497 patients were included in this study. Results: The study found that patients’ age of 40-49 years old (42.8%), wives’ age of ≥ 35 years old (65.0%), having three children (34.3%), being Moslem (85.8%), high school graduated for patients (32.3%) and junior high school graduated for patients’ wives (25.7%), casual laborer (40.7%), and guided by family planning program officer (40.6%) were the most frequent characteristics found in patients undergoing no-scalpel vasectomy. There was a significant difference in certain characteristics before and after fatwa issuance, namely wives’ age, number of children, religion, patients’ and wives’ educational background and the person who guided patients to undergo vasectomy procedure. All no-scalpel vasectomy procedures were done using “Dr. Li’s three finger technique” with local infiltration anesthesia; the median length of procedure was 10 (7 – 90) minutes. This study also found that surgeon felt that more than 95% patients were easy to perform no-scalpel vasectomy procedure and this procedure had low complication rate. Conclusions: Even though there were significant proportional difference in some characteristics, this study considers that the fatwa was not the only factor that affected patients’ choice of no-scalpel vasectomy.

Abstract: Higher education budget allocations affect educational performance, and it also can improve human capital to boost the economic growth of a nation. Concerning this, the present study was implemented to find out the extent of educational performance effect towards the economic growth, and what variables are the most influential determinants to boost economic growth in Indonesia related to educational sector. Fixed effect approach through data panel was used to analyze the secondary data obtained from 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2014 to 2016. The result showed that educational performance in each province in Indonesia measured by using the pure participation rate of junior high school students and high school graduates and higher education graduates were able to increase the economic growth with the assumption that their skills were sufficient to increase productivity, whereas, crude participation rate of junior high school, senior high school graduates, and higher education graduates can be an obstacle to economic development. Dalam kaitannya dengan hal tersebut studi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh kinerja pendidikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dan variabel apa saja yang memiliki determinasi paling kuat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia yang terkait dengan sektor pendidikan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah panel data melalui pendekatan fixed effect, dengan menggunakan data sekunder untuk 34 provinsi di Indonesia selama periode 2014 – 2016. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kinerja pendidikan setiap provinsi di Indonesia yang diukur dari APM SLTP dan tamatan SLTA dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi dengan asumsi bahwa keterampilan mereka cukup memadai untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, sementara APK SLTP, lulusan SLTP dan lulusan perguruan tinggi dapat mengganggu pertumbuhan ekonomi. Sedangkan faktor determinan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi adalah variabel belanja publik sektor pendidikan. Kata Kunci: pembiayaan, kinerja pendidikan, pertumbuhan ekonomi

The study was intended to reveal the single homeschooling implementation of families with differences in maternal professions (career women and housewives) as primary educators. The research applied qualitative approach with the type of case study through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis was completed through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicated that single homeschool learning is based on the national education standard curriculum in Indonesia, but carried out in a family environment according to children autonomy. Homeschooling in Indonesia also follows an equivalent educational program to obtain a certificate so that the graduate competencies of homeschooling students are recognized as the same as those of formal schools. Equivalent educational programs are part of non-formal education consisting of “Package A” (equal to elementary school), “Package B” (equal to junior high school), and “Package C” (equal to senior high school). Homeschooling learning takes place more flexibly, familiarizing children to be independent and responsible for learning decisions. Homeschooling presents learning based on children’s talents and interests so that it can be an alternative education in Indonesia.

[Id]Lembaga Pendidikan merupakan suatu lembaga yang strategis dalam menghasilkan dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di suatu negara. Informasi dan pencarian lokasi lembaga sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat untuk menentukan pilihan lembaga yang diinginkan. Pada penelitian ini pengetahuan mengenai Lembaga Pendidikan di Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta (DIY) disimpan dalam model ontologi berbasis web. Provinsi DIY terkenal sebagai kota pelajar dan menjadi tujuan untuk menuntut ilmu. Lembaga pendidikan terdiri dari lembaga pendidikan formal dan non-formal, lembaga pendidikan formal yang terdiri dari Sekolah Dasar, Sekolah Menengah Pertama, Sekolah Menengah Atas, Universitas dan sebagainya, sedangkan lembaga pendidikan non formal seperti Lembaga Kursus dan Lembaga Pelatihan dan Keterampilan (LPK).Penilitian ini bertujuan merancang ontologi lembaga pendidikan Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta dan merancang sistem pencarian. Hasil dari penelitian ini membangun sebuah aplikasi pencarian menggunakan pencarian berdasarkan kata kunci dan kriteria. Dalam pencarian menggunakan kata kunci, pengguna dapat melakukan pencarian sesuai pengetahuan pengguna. Sedangkan pencarian menggunakan kriteria, pengguna dapat melakukan pencarian dengan kriteria yang terdapat pada aplikasi dengan bantuan pilihan untuk pencarian. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga memiliki beberapa fitur, seperti rute ke lokasi lembaga pendidikan yang ada di Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta.[En]Educational Institution is an institution that is strategizes in generating and improving the quality of human resources in a country. Information and location search is needed in community organizations to determine the selection of the desired institute. In this study, knowledge of Institutions in Yogyakarta is stored in a web-based ontology model. Yogyakarta is famous as a city of students and a destination for studying. Schools consisting of formal educational institutions and non-formal institutions, formal education institutions consist of elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, university and so on, while non-formal education institutions consist of private Institute courses and the Institute for Training and Skills (LPK).This research aims to design the ontology of educational institutions province of Yogyakarta and search systems design. The results of this study is the development a search application using a search based on keywords and criteria. In search using keywords, users can conduct a search according the user's knowledge. While using a search criteria, users can perform a search with the criteria contained in the application with the help of an option to search. In addition, the application also has several features, such as the route to the location of existing educational institutions in Yogyakarta.
