Objective: Automation of processing data on passenger traffi c in an arbitrary direction in order to determine the number of “threadsˮ in the time schedule for suburban passenger traffi c in the future. Verifi cation of the adequacy of the existing infrastructure and design solutions for reconstruction in terms of ensuring the required throughput capacity of railway lines. Methods: The calculation of the number of trains is carried out by mathematical modeling of passenger traffi c distribution by hours of the day on each day of the week of the initial month. The identifi cation of trains with non-daily destination is made by comparing the calculation results for each day of the week. Results: An algorithm has been developed for calculating on a computer the perspective amount of suburban train traffi c, taking into account the uneven distribution of passenger traffi c by hours of the day and days of the week. Practical importance: The data obtained using the presented algorithm makes it possible to simplify the development of advance time schedules, taking into account the needs of the population in transportation. The results of the work can be used in feasibility studies for the reconstruction of station layout development and passenger devices, as well as serve as the basis for the technical re-equipment of lines in order to increase their throughput (replacement of signaling and communication equipment, construction of second main tracks, reconstruction of yard necks, etc.). The results of the calculation also make it possible to identify schedule “threadsˮ for withdrawal of trains on days of the week when they are not in demand, but at the same time take into account non-daily trains when developing a standard time schedule. The form of presentation of the results takes into account the spatial irregularity of passenger traffi c and makes it possible to distinguish zonal trains.

Objective: To analyze calculation and construction peculiarities of bridgework at high-speed networks (VSM). Methods: Mathematical simulation, as well as numerical and analytical methods of structural engineering was applied. Results: The main peculiarities of bridge construction at high-speed networks (VSM) were analyzed in the given study. It was proved that artificial constructions at VSM operate in the conditions which differ considerably from the conditions at common railroad lines. The former include the need in continuous welded rail design along the whole length of a bridge, requirement for high stiffness of a structure; consideration of aerodynamic influence of a rolling stock, moving with high speed, on structures, consideration of “train-bridge” system’s elements interaction in order to identify resonant modes of train operation, which result in increased dynamic impact on a bridge, railway vehicles, etc. Calculation results of a “bridge- continuous welded rail” system interaction under temperature and train influence for specific types of bridgeworks multi-span beam discontinuous and continuous elevated structures were presented in the article. The influence of length, flow diagram and longitudinal stiffness of intermediate structures on force value, occurring in the rails of a rolling stock was stated. Practical importance: The description of some peculiarities of train operation at VSM bridges, which are to be considered during design engineering, were presented as well as certain measures, providing operation security and comfort of train passengers, were suggested.

Teaching is essential for all education systems. Shifting the teaching schedule is also necessary to teachers in the university. Excellent time schedule improves the work effectively. To manage the time schedule, the student-teacher ratio is the important role. Student-teacher ratio is the number of students who attend a school or university divided by the number of teachers in the institution [1]. The purpose of this study is to decide the optimum size of teachers to teach in the university. Firstly, the required data are sought from the department of student affairs from University of Computer Studies (Sittway). Daily shift required teachers to teach are determined. They work five consecutive days and have two consecutive days off. Their five days of work can start on any day of the week and the schedule rotates. Then model the linear programming problem and solve this by using Simplex method (minimization case) or by using Excel solver.

The article considers issues of application of dedicated passenger lines for intertown and interregional transportation on the railways of the Russian Federation, which in the future will accelerate passenger traffic due to changes in transportation technology, increase the carrying and throughput capacity of railways, reduce construction costs and current maintenance, and optimize the need for infrastructure development. The structures of the track superstructure used for the transportation process at the present time were developed and implemented taking into account the mixed traffic — passenger and freight. Growth of axle loads in freight traffic, as well as the length of trains, presupposes the strengthening (weighting) of the standard structures of the railway track to possibly ensure the guaranteed safe passage of more than 1 billion gross tonnage. At the same time, exclusively for passenger traffic, the typical design of the railway track is redundant and can be optimized in terms of reducing the materials of the track superstructure with a simultaneous change in the configuration of repair schemes and current maintenance conditions. The article presents an assessing the possibility of using a “passenger” track structure on dedicated passenger lines for intertown and interregional transportation according to the criteria of the allowable margin of safety in the environment of fnite element analysis — the most progressive method for calculating structures undergoing complex loading. The article presents the results of calculations of the stress-strain state of a railway track of various confgurations, including promising lightweight versions with R50 rails and reinforced concrete sleepers with under sleeper pads. Based on the calculations performed, recommendations are given for the areas of application of the considered track confgurations from the point of view of permissible stresses in its elements.

In the world of heavy equipment construction projects it is important to help complete human work. Tower Crane is one of the tools in the implementation of construction projects. In the implementation of the construction of Apartment 31 Sudirman Suites Makassar, there are 2 Tower Crane tools that operate with limited work time due to covid 19. This research was carried out by direct observation in the field and calculating the real value of the specifications to compare productivity. Tower Crane productivity is the result achieved or output, namely the amount of material moved by Tower Crane with all resources or inputs, namely the time required for material transfer. Based on the calculation results that the productivity of the specification is greater than the productivity of observations in the field, this is due to constraints on the weather that occurs and the equipment operator. For productivity, the average obtained on the 4th floor is 71,544 (%) and on the 5th floor it is obtained that is 73,727 (%).

The article analyses passenger traffic distribution between air transport on domestic air routes and railway transport on the routes of large distances within the Russian Federation. The research objective is to define the air traffic increase potential especially on the distances up to 2500 km. City-pairs air passenger traffic and railway passenger traffic between the destination points statistics for 2014 and 2016, distances between the points of destination and actual economy class air fares and railway compartment carriage tariffs as well data on airports state in corresponding points of destination are used as original information.Pivot tables of traffic on 5 thousand routes by both modes of transport are drawn up.Specific traffic shares by air transport between points of origin (taking off) and destination (landing) are defined. Passenger traffic distribution is evaluated by distance intervals in Russian Federation as a whole and from major airports : Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Sochi and Simferopol. The analysis defines the trend of traffic share increase by air transport along with rising traffic distances. The research reveals that 94,2% of passenger traffic by rail and 83% of traffic by air are carried for the distances up to 2 500 km. The statistics example of passenger traffic from Moscow and Ekaterinburg demonstrates that regional routes with distances up to 1000 km are the main increase potential for the traffic growth. In 2016 traffic share by air transport for the distances interval up to 1000 km was 16%.According to the tariffs analysis the conclusion is made that air fares exceed rail tariffs on flight distances up to 1000 km (because of the short distances flight speculiarities) and on the routes to hard-to-reach and remote areas. Passengers choice in favor of air transport on regional routes depends on creation of economic conditions to attract more passengers.

Objective: At present the majority of railway lines experiences serious difficulties in handling of the increased flow of freight trains with considerable amount of passenger traffic. In view of this there is a necessity to improve the level of train schedule stability by creating certain time slacks in it, which make it possible to eliminate errors. Methods: The methods of simulation, computational theory and construction of a train schedule graph were applied. Results: The method of train routing was developed on the basis of simulation of schedule configuration. The characteristics of schedule configuration and conditions of its creation were presented. The influence of trainhandling capacity efficiency coefficient on the choice of a configured train routing diagram was studied, as well as one of the vital factors, causing degradation of train schedule fulfillment stability – disagreement in train traffic. It was shown that in case of selecting a configuration it was necessary to increase the headway between consecutive trains after a bunch of trains, and if train overtaking is inevitable – to use the time of extra removal. In order to eliminate the consequences of disagreement in train traffic, it was proposed to increase intervals not between all trains, but to compensate the disagreement after passage of a number of trains, the latter should be specified on an individual basis. The assessment of compensating interval efficiency was fulfilled by means of removal coefficient calculation for different conditions on three options. It was concluded that the compensating interval not only reduces disagreement impact, but also improves train-handling capacity. The example of train schedule stability improvement was considered on the basis of applying configurations at “Malaya Vishera – Bologoye” section on down trains within the period of time from 11.30 pm to 7.30 am. Practical importance: Application of configurations makes it possible to achieve higher implementable levels of speed and train-handling capacity, leads to the detection of time slacks and time buffers, which considerably increase train schedule stability and, consequently, the stability of its fulfillment.
