Introduction: The most effective way to control infection is to ensure that hospital staff carry out handwashing according to the protocols. This study aims to determine the characteristics of nursing individuals that affect the compliance of the five moments of handwashing in the hospital inpatient room.Methods: The method used was a quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population was all nurses in five inpatient rooms totalling 84 nurses selected using purposive sampling. The dependent variable was the compliance of nurses' handwashing. The independent variableswere the individual characteristics of the nurses, including knowledge, gender, age, attitude, motivation, skin condition, years of service, education, employment status, infrastructure, and type of room. The data were collected using a questionnaire and observation of handwashing compliance. The handwashing observation was based on the hospital guidelines, and the relationship between the variables was analyzed using Chi square and logistic regressions test.Results: The study indicates that there is a significant relationship between motivation, education, and room type on compliance with the five moments handwashing (p <0.05). The most dominant factor was type of room, and there is no relationship between gender, age, years of work, skin condition, knowledge, attitude, employment status and infrastructures (p> 0.05).Conclusion:It is hoped that nurses can increase self-motivation to wash their hands for five minutes while working, as a form of dedication at work and to protect patients and themselves from nosocomial infections. Besides, hospital management needs to make efforts to increase the motivation of nurses.

Abstract: Independence of self is one of the most important aspects that should be possessed by each individual and the child, because in addition to affect performance, it also serves to help achieve the goal of life, achievements, success and earn rewards. Without the support of an independent nature, the individual and the child will be difficult to reach something in the maximum, and it will also be difficult to achieve succes. The  support of parents and the right of parenting, in accordance with conditions expected to establish children in pre-school indepedence in the exercise of an daily personal hygiene. This research to know the relationship of parenting parents with personal hygiene independence to children in pre-school at Kindergarten of Kartika Manado. The design of this study using the cross sectional approach. The method of sampling in this study is a total sampling way that some 50 parents/guardians of students. This study used a questionnaire instrument and analys Chi-Square statistical test at a significance level of 95 %: (α 0,05). The result showed there were 19 samples that had authotitarian parents, 12 samples didn’t have the independence in maintaining personal hygiene and 7 samples are independent. There are 31 samples that have parents democratic, 7 samples don’t have the independence in maintaining personal hygiene and 24 samples are independent. Result of Chi-Square test (X2) at 95 % confidence level (α 0,05), showed an association with parenting parents with personal hygiene independence to children in pre-school at Kindergarten of Kartika Manado, where the value of ρ=0,004, smaller than α=0,05. Democratic parenting was able to indepedence to children to maintain personal hygiene, it’s expected that managers at Kindergarten of Kartika Manado to promote democratic parenting to parents, so that parents can implement it in the family life. Keywords: The Parenting Parents, personal hygiene independence to children in pre-school.     Abstrak: Kemandirian merupakan salah satu aspek terpenting yang harus dimiliki setiap individu dan anak, karena selain dapat mempengaruhi kinerja, juga berfungsi untuk membantu mencapai tujuan hidup, prestasi, kesuksesan serta memperoleh penghargaan. Tanpa didukung oleh sifat mandiri, maka individu maupun anak akan sulit untuk mencapai sesuatu secara maksimal, dan akan sulit pula untuk meraih kesuksesan. Dukungan orangtua serta pola asuh yang tepat, sesuai dengan keadaan anak diharapkan mampu membentuk kemandirian anak pra sekolah dalam pelaksanaan kebersihan perorangan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orangtua dengan kemandirian kebersihan perorangan pada anak pra sekolah di Taman Kanak-Kanak Kartika Manado. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Cara pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan cara total sampling yaitu sejumlah 50 orangtua/wali siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dan dianalisa menggunkan uji statistic Chi-Square pada tingkat kemaknaan 95 %: (α 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 19 sampel yang memiliki orang tua otoriter, 12 sampel tidak memiliki kemandirian dalam menjaga kebersihan perorangan dan 7 sampel memiliki kemandirian. Dari 31 sampel yang memiliki orang tua demokratis, 7 sampel tidak memiliki kemandirian dalam menjaga kebersihan perorangan dan 24 sampel memiliki kemandirian. Hasil uji Chi Square (X2) pada tingkat  kepercayaan 95% (α 0,05), menunjukkan ada hubungan hubungan pola asuh orangtua dengan kemandirian kebersihan perorangan pada anak pra sekolah di Taman Kanak-Kanak Kartika Manado, dimana nilai ρ= 0,004, lebih kecil dari α=0,05. Pola asuh demokratis ternyata mampu memandirikan anak pra sekolah untuk menjaga kebersihan perorangan, diharapkan agar pengelola Taman Kanak-Kanak Kartika Manado mensosialisasikan pola asuh demokratis kepada orang tua, agar orang tua dapat mengimplementasikannya di dalam kehidupan berkeluarga. Fatigue is one of the causes of accidents. According Setyawati (2010) fatigue shown to contribute more than 60% in the event of an accident. This reseacrh was conducted to determine the relationship of the individual characteristics, noise and air temperature with subjective fatigue. Fatigue can be caused by various factors of education, health, habits, motivation, temperature, radiation, and humidity to the air and noise work environment. reseacrh observational descriptive with cross sectional approach. The number of samples this study were 45 people, were taken by simple random sampling. The independent variables were age, noise and air temperature. The dependent variable of this study was fatigue. The statistical test used chi-square test. Primary data were obtained from interviews and measurements directly. Measurements were taken at two locations new office and workshop 9. The results of this study showed that 45 respondents (88.90%) had mild fatigue, and 5 respondents (11.10%) experienced moderate fatigue. All respondents who experienced fatigue being exposed to noise and temperature exceeding the standarize. The conclusion from this study is there is no significant relationship between noise (p = 0.31) and air temperature (p = 0.41) with subjective fatigue. While age with subjective fatigue have a significant relationship with the value (p = 0.61). Advice for company made policy so workers over 40 years old can be get jobs that match their abilities.Keywords: age, noise, temperature, fatigue

Kedisiplinan merupakan keinginan dan kesadaran untuk mentaati peraturan-peraturan perusahaan dan norma-norma sosial. Seseorang akan bersedia mematuhi semua peraturan serat melaksanakan tugas-tugasnya, baik secara sukarela maupun karena terpaksa. Disiplin kerja juga mempunyai kontribusi terhadap kualitas pelayanan kesehatan yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada produktivitas kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan antara karakteristik individu dengan tingkat disiplin kerja di Rumah Sakit PTPN VIII Subang Tahun 2018. Desain penelitian dengan metode deskripsi korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional, populasi dan sampel adalah seluruh karyawan non kesehatan. Sampel berjumlah 23 orang, yang diambil menggunakan teknik total samplin. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar observasi dan penelitian di laksanakan bulan September sampai November 2018. Analisis data dengan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sebagian Karyawan Rumah Sakit PTPN VIII Subang berumur 25 – 45 tahun, lebih dari setengahnya berjenis kelamin laki-laki, lebih dari setengahnya berpendidikan rendah, sebagian besar berstatus kawin. Lebih dari setengah Karyawan memiliki lama kerja 5 tahun. Disiplin kerja Karyawan Rumah Sakit PTPN VIII Subang lebih dari setengahnya mempunyai disiplin yang baik.Kata kunci               : Karakteristik individu, Disiplin kerja   ABSTRACT Discipline is the desire and awareness to obey company rules and social norms. Someone will be willing to comply with all regulations fiber to perform his duties , either voluntarily or by necessity. Labor discipline also contributes to the quality of care services , which in turn have an impact on work productivity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between individual characteristics with the level of labor discipline in  PTPN VIII Subang  Hospital. Description of the study design with the method of correlation with cross -sectional sample of the population and all employees . The sample was 23 people , and in this study the sample used is to use the total sampling techniques. Data collection using questionnaires and observation sheets and research carried onSeptember to November, 2018. Data analysis with chi square test.The results of the research staff of the PTPN VIII Subang  Hospital half old 25-45 years old , more than half of the male sex , more than half of low-educated , largely 's marital status . More than half of employees have a 5 year old job . AbstactImproving the quality of human resources (HR) in health and nutrition factors depends on the mother's work, this results in the habits of children requesting extra money for unhealthy breakfasts outside and nutritional disorders in children who experience the process of growth and achievement of children. This study aims to analyze the relationship of employment status to the mother's behavior in the fulfillment of nutrition based on breakfast habits. The design of this research is Correlation with cross sectional approach. Population in this research is all children of class of 2-6 in SDN Mrican 1, District of Jenangan, Regency of Ponorogo with big sample 44 respondents. Sampling of the study using total sampling, data collection using questionnaire and calculation using Chi-Square Test test using SPSS 16.0 error α 0.05. The result of the research on the variables of maternal employment status was interpreted by 28 respondents (63.6%) and 16 respondents (36.4%) did not work. Maternal Behavior variable in nutrient fulfillment interpreted 24 respondents (54.5%) behaved positively and 20 respondents (45.5%) behaved negatively. Chi-Square statistical test obtained p value = 0.001 which means smaller than α = 0.05 Thus it can be said that there is a relationship On the relationship with the relationship niali Contingency Coefficient = 0.447 enough category. Research analysis there is close enough relationship between job status with mother's behavior in nutrition fulfillment based on breakfast habit at SDN Mrican 1, Sub Jenangan, Regency of Ponorogo. Maternal negative behavior in the fulfillment of nutrition that will affect the growth and development of children, the researchers advise on the place of research, especially the school environment put a picture or leaflet about the importance of breakfast for children and breakfast foods. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan status pekerjaan dengan perilaku ibu dalam pemenuhan gizi berdasarkan kebiasaan sarapan.Desain penelitian ini adalah Korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelas 2-6 di SDN Mrican 1, Kecamatan Jenangan, Kabupaten Ponorogo dengan besar sampel 44 responden. Sampling penelitian menggunakan Total sampling, pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan perhitungan menggunakan uji Uji Chi-Square menggunakan SPSS 16.0 kesalahan α 0,05.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Status pekerjaan ibu diinterpretasikan 28 responden (63,6%) bekerja dan 16 responden (36,4%) tidak bekerja. Variabel Perilaku ibu dalam pemenuhan gizi diinterpretasikan 24 responden (54.5%) berperilaku positif dan 20 responden (45,5%) berperilaku negatif. uji statistik Chi-Square diperoleh nilai Contingency Coefficient =0,447, dan p value = 0,001 yang berarti lebih kecil dari α= 0,05 berarti ada hubungan cukup antara status pekerjaan dengan perilaku ibu dalam pemenuhan gizi berdasarkan kebiasaan sarapan.Perilaku negatif ibu dalam pemenuhan gizi sehingga akan mempengaruhi tumbuh kembang anak, maka peneliti menyarankan pada tempat penelitian terutama lingkungan sekolah memasang gambar atau leaflet tentang pentingnya sarapa n pagi bagi anak dan jenis makanan sarapan pagi.Kata kunci: status pekerjaan, perilaku, ibu, sarapan.

Introduction: Nurses have a very stressful job because they are required to deal with the needs of patients. Nurses are responsible for contacting and observing patients 24 hours a day. The nurse fatigue is associated with stress at work, workload, and the level of conflicts that occurs in the work environment. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the individual characteristics and fatigue of nurses’ performance in the ICU and ER. Methods: This research is observational research with a cross-sectional design and the analysis used in this study is a descriptive analysis conducted in the form of frequency tables and cross tabulations. The research data were obtained from filling in identity data sheets, IFRS work fatigue measurement questionnaires, and calorimeter measurements. To analyze the relationship between two variables with ordinal and nominal data scales including non-parametric statistics and due to the total population in this study, to find out how strong the relationship value is the Cramer V value in the Chi Square Test. The sample used was 25 nurses who work in the ICU and ER. Results: There is a relationship on the characteristics of nurses in the study which includes age, sex, length of service, education level, marital status, nutritional status, length of work, workload with subjective fatigue in ICU and ER nurses. Conclusion: In the test results obtained varying results from strong to weak relationship. In conclusion, individual characteristics cause subjective fatigue in ICU and ER nurses.Keywords: emergency room, intensive care unit, nurses, subjective fatigue

ABSTRACT Objective To determine association of GNK-PIMS score vs Newmann Peacock score with success of external cephalic version (ECV). Materials and methods This comparative cross-sectional analysis was carried out at MCH center Unit I, PIMS, Islamabad, from 1st January 2006 to 31st December 2009. Characteristics of 166 breech versions performed during study period were integrated into both Newmann Peacock score and GNK-PIMS score. Association of the two scoring systems with success of ECV was determined using Student t-test, correlation coefficient, Chi-square test and Cox and Snell test. The individual characteristics of two scores were also evaluated by stepwise linear regression model. Results The success rate of ECV was 49.9%. Newman Peacock score had weaker correlation with success of ECV (r = 0.234, p = 0.001) than GNK-PIMS score (r = 0.716, p = 0.000). The success rate was 6.3% at a score of <3 and 60% at >8 with Newmann Peacock score while that with GNKPIMS score was nil at a score of <3 and 100% at >8. All individual parameters of the GNK-PIMS score had significant association with success of ECV compared to only three variables of Newman Peacock score. Conclusion GNK-PIMS score is stronger predictor of ECV success than Newman Peacock score. Larger randomized controlled trials should be conducted based on this scoring system. Abstract Introduction and hypothesis Women with mesh-related complications in prolapse (POP) and stress-urinary incontinence (SUI) surgery may benefit from operative mesh resection to alleviate symptoms. We hypothesized that mesh resection would alleviate symptoms and aimed to evaluate risks and benefits in these women. Methods We carried out a cross-sectional study. Primary outcome was improvement specified as better, unchanged or worsened symptoms after mesh revision surgery. Secondary outcomes were health-related quality of life (HrQol) scores of validated questionnaires, surgical characteristics and physical findings at follow-up visits. Descriptive data were reported with mean and medians. Associations were calculated with Spearman correlation coefficient and chi-square test to determine statistical differences between groups. Results Fifty-nine women who underwent mesh revision surgery between 2009 and 2016 were included. After a median follow-up of 1.7 (IQR: 1.1–2.4) years, 44 women (75%) reported improvement of symptoms. No significant surgical or patient characteristics were identified that could differentiate which patients did or did not experience cure or complications.A trend was observed to better HrQol scores in women who reported overall improvement after mesh revision surgery. Seventeen (29%) women needed a subsequent operation after mesh removal. Conclusions This cross-sectional study shows that mesh revision surgery alleviates symptoms in 75% of women with mesh-related complications. Type of revision surgery and individual characteristics did not seem to matter to the individual chance of cure or complications. These data can facilitate the counseling of women considering mesh revision surgery.

Breast milk is the best source of nutrition to be given to newborn babies specifically designed to meet all thenutritional needs of a baby during the first six months of life. Many factors affect exclusive breastfeeding includingthe  mother'semploymentstatusand husband's support. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mother'semployment status and husband's support with exclusive breastfeeding.Thisstudyuses a cross sectional approach.Interviews were conducted with 70breastfeeding mothers with infants over 6 months of age. The method ofsampling usespurposivesampling method. The research location in the District of Gatak, Sukoharjo Regency wasconducted in December 2019. Statistical analysis was performed bivariately with the chi square test. In this study, theresults of chi square for the mother's employment status pvalue= 0.037 and husband support pvalue= 0.244.Thereis a correlationbetween mother's employment status with exclusive breastfeeding and no correlationbetweenhusband's support for exclusive breastfeeding.

Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat adalah semua perilaku kesehatan yang dilakukan atas kesadaran sehingga anggota keluarga atau keluarga dapat menolong dirinya sendiri di bidang kesehatan dan dapat berperan aktif dalam kegiatan-kegiatan kesehatan di masyarakat. Berdasarkan data perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat tatanan rumah tangga di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sunyaragi tahun 2013 dengan jumlah 1988 rumah tangga, status rumah tangga sehat baru mencapai 60%. Padahal Rencana Strategis (Restra) Kementerian Kesehatan tahun 2010-2014 mencantumkan target 70% rumah tangga sudah mempraktekkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan, sikap dan karakteristik ibu dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat pada tatanan rumah tangga di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sunyaragi Kota Cirebon Tahun 2014.Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Hal yang ingin di teliti adalah hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap dan karakteristik ibu dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Pengolahan dan analisa data dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS (Statistic Package For Social Science) versi 18. Populasi penelitian ini adalah ibu rumah tangga yang ada di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Sunyaragi kota cirebon yaitu sebanyak 2761 responden. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 97 ibu rumah tangga yang diambil secara systematic random sampling. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Uji Chi Square pada tingkat kemaknaan 5% (0,05).Hasil uji statistik didapatkan bahwa umur (P-value = 0,584), tidak ada hubungan antara umur dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Tingkat pendidikan (P-value) = 0,000), ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Status pekerjaan (P-value = 1,000), tidak ada hubungan antara status pekerjaan dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Pengetahuan (P-value = 0,000), ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. The study population was a housewife in the working area of Puskesmas Sunyaragi UPTD Cirebon city as many as 2761 respondents. The total sample of 97 housewives who were taken by systematic random sampling. Data were statistically analyzed using Chi Square test at the 5% significance level (0.05).Statistical test results showed that age (P-value = 0.584), there was no relationship between age and behavior of clean and healthy. The level of education (P-value) = 0,000), there is a correlation between level of education and behavior of clean and healthy. Employment status (P-value = 1.000), there was no association between employment status with a clean and healthy living behavior. Knowledge (P-value = 0.000), there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior of clean and healthy. Background: Stroke is the disease cause of disability in the world. The disability impact on the individual functions in performing daily activities and impact on the family too. Nuclear families whose family members suffered brain disorders such as stroke, showed> 50% experience depression, suicide, weakness and anxiety. The psychological effect is called by the grieving response. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the level of disability of stroke patients with family grieving response. Method: This research type is analytic descriptive with cross sectional approach The sample of this research was family from stroke patient in hospital ward of Gunung Jati Hospital Cirebon with 30 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The instruments were used observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis using chi square test. Result: The results showed no significant relationship between the level of disability with family grief response was shown with the results p value was 0.260 or > α (0.05) which means Ha rejected. In addition to providing care to the patient, the nurse is expected to participate in involving the family by providing positive support as a protective response of mourning.
