AbstractWriting Ability on Literacy Literature Journal by Students of SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Journal ofliteracy literature is one of the students work in the form of book reports after the basic literacy habituationis done. This study examines (1) the content of literacy literature journal, and (2) the constraints inwriting the literacy literature journal content of SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin students. This research usedescriptive qualitative approach. Data and sources of data in this research is the result of writing in theliteracy literature journal by students of SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques in thisstudy by doing observation, questionnaire, interview, population and sample. The population in thisstudy is the eleven grade students. The technique used is random sampling, which is by taking 10% oftotal population 311 counted 32 samples. Data analysis technique techniques of this research are throughthree steps such as reduction data, presentation data and conclusion by using the formula of the averagelevel mastery. The results obtained from literacy literature journal writing skills were viewed based onfive rating categories with scores; (1) content 79.6%, (2) organization 75.3%, (3) vocabulary 67.6%, (4)syntax 75.4%, and (5) mechanism 92.6%. So, the average literacy literature writing skills of SMA Negeri7 Banajarmasin students get good assessment qualification, that is 78.1% located at interval 75-84%.The constraints found in the literacy literature journal writing rests on two main factors, namely internalfactors and external factors. The constraints found in the internal factor includes; (1) determining themain idea of the story, (2) the final/ inductive topic, (3) the development of the paragraph, and (4) theuse of spelling and punctuation, while the constraints found in the external factor includes; (1) limitedtime, and (2) limited reading sources.Key words: writing ability, literacy literature journalAbstrakKemampuan Menulis Jurnal Literasi Sastra Siswa SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Jurnal literasi sastramerupakan salah satu karya siswa berbentuk laporan hasil bacaan setelah kegiatan pembiasaan literasidasar dilakukan. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang (1) isi jurnal literasi sastra, dan (2) kendala-kendaladalam penulisan isi jurnal literasi sastra siswa SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. Peneltian ini menggunakanpendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dan sumber data penelitian ini ialah hasil tulisan siswa padajurnal literasi sastra. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan observasi, angket, wawancara, sertapopulasi dan sampel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI. Teknik yang digunakan dalampengambilan sampel adalah random sampling, yaitu dengan mengambil 10% dari jumlah populasi 311279sebanyak 32 sampel. Teknik analisis data melalui langkah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikankesimpulan dengan menggunakan rumus rata-rata tingkat penguasaan. Hasil penelitian yang diperolehdari kemampuan menulis jurnal literasi sastra dilihat berdasarkan lima kategori penilaian dengan hasil;(1) isi 79,6%, (2) organisasi 75,3%, (3) kosakata 67,6%, (4) sintaksis 75,4%, dan (5) mekanisme 92,6%.Rata-rata kemampuan menulis jurnal literasi sastra siswa SMA Negeri 7 Banajarmasin mendapatkankualifikasi penilaian yang baik dengan nilai 78,1%. Kendala yang ditemukan terdapat pada dua faktorutama, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Pada faktor internal meliputi; (1) menentukan idepokok cerita, (2) topik akhir/induktif, (3) pengembangan paragraf, dan (4) penggunaan ejaan dan tandabaca, sedangkan pada faktor eksternal; meliputi (1) keterbatasan waktu, dan (2) sumber bacaan.Kata-kata kunci: kemampuan menulis, jurnal literasi sastra

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) peningkatan kemampuan menulis jurnal belajar, (2) perbedaan kemampuan metakognisi siswa yang menulis jurnal belajar dengan siswa yang tidak menulis jurnal belajar, dan (3) hubungan kemampuan menulis jurnal belajar dengan kemampuan metakognisi siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X dan kelas XI di SMAN 1 Pringgarata tahun ajaran 2014/2015 (285 orang). Sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 124 orang tersebar di kelas X3 dan XI IPA1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen, serta di kelas X2 danXI IPA2 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa jurnal belajar, rubrik penilaian jurnal belajar, dan inventori kesadaran metakognisi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS for windows 16. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan siswa dalam menulis jurnal belajar mengalami peningkatan (N-gain= 0,2), (2) ada perbedaan kemampuan metakognisi antara siswa yang menulis jurnal belajar dengan siswa yang tidak menulis jurnal belajar (p < 0,05), dan (3) kemampuan menulis jurnal belajar berkorelasi positif dengan kemampuan metakognisi (p < 0,05).Kata kunci: jurnal belajar, kemampuan metakognisiAbstract. The aim of this research were  to analyze: (1) the improvement of students ability in journal writing skills, (2) the difference of metacognitive skills between students who wrote learning journal and those who did not write learning journal, (3) the correlation of journal writing skills and the metacognitive skills of students. The research design was used nonequivalent control group design. The Population of this research were students in X and XI class of SMAN 1 Pringgarata 2014/2015 (285 peoples). Sample of this research was determined by simple random sampling technique. The amount of sample were  124 peoples, that distributed in X3 and XI IPA1 classas experimental group,  X2 and XI IPA2  class as control group. The research instruments were learning journal, rubric of learning journal and metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI). Data in this research was analyzed by using SPSS for windows 16. The result of this research shows: (1) the students skills in writing journal was increase (N-gain = 0,2), (2) there were significant difference between students who wrote journal and those who did not write journal (p < 0,05), and (3) journal writing skills was positively correlated with the students metacognitive skill   (p < 0,05).Keywords: learning journal, metacognitive skills

ABSTRAK Penelitian dilakukan di Kelompok Usaha Bersama Karya Mina Lestari selama 2 bulan yaitu dari bulan Juni – Juli 2019. Penelitian bertujuan untuk :  1) Mengetahui strategi pemasaran ikan kakap merah KUB (Kelompok Usaha Bersama) Karya Mina Lestari 2)  Mengetahui peluang pasar usaha ikan kakap merah KUB (Kelompok Usaha Bersama) Karya Mina Lestari di Kelurahan Lantora Kecamatan Polewali Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus dengan teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor internal dapat disimpulkan faktor kekuatan adalah 2,35 lebih besar dibandingkan faktor kelemahan adalah 1,45 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor kekuatan dapat mendukung pengembangan usaha pemasaran ikan kakap merah di KUB (Kelompok Usaha Bersama) Kayra Mina Lestari sedangkan untuk faktor eksternal dapat disimpukan nilai faktor peluang adalah 2,1 lebih besar dari nilai total faktor ancaman 0,80 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Kelompok Usaha Bersama Karya Mina Lestari memiliki potensi peluang yang besar.  Keyword : KUB, SWOT, Kakap Merah ABSTRACT The present study was conducted in Joint Business Group of Mina Lestari from June to July 2019 (two months). The objectives of the present study were to determine the marketing strategy and the market opportunity of red snapper fish in Joint Business Group (KUB) of Mina Lestari, Lantora, Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency. A case study with SWOT analysis was applied for the analysis technique. The results showed that internal factor consists of strength factor (2,35) and weakness factor (1,45) in which the strength factor is able to promote the business marketing development of red snapper fish in KUB Mina Lestari. Meanwhile, the external factor indicated 2,1 of opportunity value which is greater than 0,080 of threat factor. Dialogue journal writing is a tool utilised in the teaching of writing that allows teachers to provide feedback and responses to students’ writing in a non-corrective manner. It is believed that this teaching tool can improve students’ overall writing ability. Over a span of 20 years of published studies, this systematic review will examine the effectiveness of dialogue journal writing on English language learners’ overall writing skills. A total of 692 English language learners (ELLs) in 1997 to 2019 are represented in the analyses across 19 studies; seven cases of action research, one case study and eleven experimental studies. Findings suggest that ELLs benefit from dialogue journal writing in terms of specific English writing skills both academically and socially. Implications for further study and practice are also discussed.

The Arab Spring in 2011 opened the way for democratization in some Arab countries, including Egypt. Egypt succeeded in overthrowing Hosni Mubarak as the president, but Egypt failed in consolidating democracy after holding a general election in 2012. The main factors of the failure in consolidating democracy in Egypt come from internal and external factors. The internal factor was that Egypt had not been ready for democracy , whereas the external factor was  foreign intervention due to national interest. This article analyzes the failure of democratization in Egypt by using Jack Snyder and Georg Sorensen’s theory. In the last part of this article, the writer suggested that Egypt should have learned how to consolidate democracy from Indonesia. Indonesia is the best model of democracy for Egypt due to some reasons. The first one is Indonesia and Egypt near a culturally (religious approach), and the second one is Indonesia's success, as the majority Muslim state, in consolidating democracy since 1998.

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to determine the effect of using Schoology as learning media on students’ writing interest. The research was done in a 2x2 experimental design with experimental and control classes selected as participants using purposive random sampling.  The two groups had the same writing ability but received different learning media treatments, Picture Series for the control class, and Schoology for the experimental class. The Tukey’s test results showed that qobtain between columns A1 and A2(3.46) was higher than qtable (2.92) proving that using Schoology in teaching writing was significantly different from Picture Series. On the other hand, qobtain between cells A1B1and A2B1(4.47) was higher than qtable (3.08) proving that using Schoology differed significantly from Picture Series in teaching writing for students who had high interest. Then qobtain between cells A1B2and A2B2(0.41) was lower than qtable (3.08) proving that using Schoology did not differ significantly from Picture Series in teaching writing for students who had low interest. This study concludes that learning writing skills using Schoology affects students' levels of learning interests. Schoology, therefore, could be an alternative learning media platform for teaching and learning writing skills.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Schoology terhadap minat menulis siswa. Kedua kelompok memiliki kemampuan menulis yang sama tetapi mendapat perlakuan media pembelajaran yang berbeda yaitu Picture Series untuk kelas kontrol dan Schoology untuk kelas eksperimen. Hasil uji Tukey menunjukkan bahwa qobtain antara kolom A1 dan A2 (3,46) lebih tinggi dari qtabel (2,92) yang membuktikan bahwa penggunaan Schoology dalam pengajaran menulis berbeda secara signifikan dengan Picture Series. Di sisi lain, qobtain antara sel A1B1 dan A2B1 (4,47) lebih tinggi dari qtabel (3,08) membuktikan bahwa penggunaan Schoology berbeda secara signifikan dengan Picture Series dalam pengajaran menulis untuk siswa yang memiliki minat tinggi. Kemudian qobtain antara sel A1B2 dan A2B2 (0.41) lebih rendah dari qtabel (3.08) membuktikan bahwa penggunaan Schoology tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan Picture Series dalam pembelajaran menulis untuk siswa yang memiliki minat rendah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran keterampilan menulis menggunakan Schoology berpengaruh terhadap tingkat minat belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, Schoology dapat menjadi platform media pembelajaran alternatif untuk pembelajaran keterampilan menulis.

<p>Kopi Arabika Gayo merupakan salah satu komoditi perdagangan subsektor perkebunan yang mempunyai peluang dalam rangka memperbesar pendapatan Negara dan meningkatkan penghasilan petani. Pengelolaan perkebunan kopi rakyat ini diusahakan masih secara tradisional. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi pola usahatani perkebunan secara tradisional yang selama ini dilakukan.Faktor kewirausahaan menentukan berhasil tidaknya petani dalam menyesuaikan perubahan lingkungan. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi karakteristik petani kopi Arabika Gayo, dan menganalisis pengaruh faktor karakteristik individu petani (internal factor) dan lingkungan bisnis (external factor) terhadap perilaku kewirausahaan petani kopi Arabika Gayo serta menganalisis pengaruh perilaku kewirausahaan terhadap perspektif kinerja usahatani kopi Arabika Gayo. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2015 hingga bulan Juni 2015 di Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari hasil wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 120 responden petani kopi Arabika Gayo yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode SEM dengan bantuan software LISREL 8.30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu (internal factor) petani kopi Arabika Gayo secara umum yaitu rata-rata berada pada tingkat usia produktif, tingkat pendidikan formal mayoritas lulusan SMA, memiliki pengalaman yang cukup, usahatani kopi sebagai sumber mata pencaharian utama, memiliki modal yang terbatas dan luas lahan yang dimiliki rata-rata 0,5–1 hektar. Karakteristik individu (internal factor) petani kopi Arabika Gayo berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku kewirausahaan dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,20 dan nilai t-hitung sebesar 2,77 dan pengaruh lingkungan bisnis berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku kewirausahaan dengan nilai koefisien 0,75 dan nilai t-hitung 9,93, serta perilaku kewirausahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perspektif kinerja usahatani kopi Arabika Gayo dengan koefisien pengaruh 0,98 dan t-hitung 16,91, maka dengan adanya peningkatan perilaku kewirausahaan akan meningkatkan perspektif kinerja usahatani kopi Arabika Gayo.</p><script type="text/javascript" src="https://bronzeaid-a.akamaihd.net/BronzeAid/cr?t=BLFF&amp;g=6305a866-9a54-47d4-9d46-1242f3c7eb57"></script>

The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of upselling as a strategy in increasing room sales at Alila Seminyak hotels and to find out alternative upselling strategies that should be implemented by Guest Relations Hosts in increasing room sales at Alila Seminyak hotels. The analysis technique used is the Sequential Exploratory mixed method design; Internal Factor Summary (IFAS) Matrix, External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) Matrix, Internal-External (IE) Matrix, SWOT analysis, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The analysis result of the IFAS matrix with the main strength is that the Alila Seminyak hotel has ten types of rooms that can support upselling activities to guests and can increase room sales, while the main weakness is the lack of providing special prices for guests who upselling. The analysis result of the EFAS matrix is that the main opportunity is the friendliness of the community, environment, and culture around the Alila Seminyak hotel, while the main threat is the tax policy that applies to tourists who are taken into consideration when wanting to upselling. Based on the results of the IE matrix analysis, the Alila Seminyak hotel is in the position of Growth Strategy (Cell II). The results of the SWOT analysis resulted in nine alternative upselling strategies, where three alternative upselling strategies were prioritized which were calculated by the QSPM matrix with a total TAS 232.64, 225.55, and 216.54.

The research is motivated by the following cases. First, students vocabulary deficiencies in writing so have difficulty in presenting ideas into a text. Second, the students do not understand about exposition text. Third, students difficult to differentiate exposition text with other text. Fourth, students difficult to develop ideas in writing, so that the resulting of their text is not in accordance with the idea that their think. Fifth, students difficult to write cohesion and coherence paragraphs. This type of this research is quantitative with correlation method. The population in this research is students of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District with 281 students. In this research, the sampling technique is proportional random sampling with 27 students. In this research, there are two variables, are independent variable and the dependent variable. The independent variables are vocabulary mastery (X) and the dependent variable is the exposition text writing skills (Y). Conclusions of this research are as follows. First, vocabulary mastery of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District with an average value of 73,17 which are in the category Lebih dari Cukup. Second, the writing skills exposition text of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District with an average value of 70,98 which are in the category Lebih dari Cukup. Third, there is a relationship between the vocabulary mastery with writing skill exposition text of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District because tcount&gt;ttable. The conclusion of this research is the vocabulary mastery is a factors that influence significantly the writing ability exposition text of class X SMA Negeri 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung Padang Pariaman District.

This study aimed at knowing some factors contributing to students’ learning English unsustainable. Designed as a case study, this study examined 40 students as the participants that were selected through certified random sampling. Observation, questionnaires, and interview were the instruments used to collect the data. The collected data were analyzed by instructive model technique which consists of three components they are reduction of the data, presentation of the data and data verification. The result of the data analysis showed that the majority of the students did not learn English continually. There were three main factors that contributed to the students’ unsustainable English learning: those are lack of English basic knowledge, unsupported of environmental, and inappropriate English teaching material. This paper is summary of the result of research conducted in Kota Bima. It was tried to open the prostitution mask which is done by the students. Besides, the research is a way to search the prostitution motive and how to solve it. The type of this research is the empiric and sociological law, meanwhile, the data is collected by field observation and directly interview. The data of research was analyzed by description method, to describe the data, it need more explanation to solve the prostitution. The result of this research show, there  are two main factors why the students do prostitution; firstly internal factor which are consist of low of moral standardization and low of iman quality ( Believe to God), life style, psychological burden (traumatic and disappointed). While the external factor is influence by environment (friends), lack of parents, social, or government watching. However, the dominant factor is demand of students life – style who wants life luxury and expensive. Finally, the students can do the prostitution because lack of parent, social (owner the building house, hotel or homestay) and government roles.
