Tourism involves the movement of individuals from one region to another, which are sometimes of different cultures. The interaction between tourists and local communities in tourist destinations is social interaction. The community does not always react positively to the development of certain destinations or attractions. Public attitudes that are not always beneficial to tourism have various causes, such as the well-being differences that appear so starkly between wealthy tourists and poor local communities and  conflict over limited resources such as water, land and cultural resources. This condition needs to be addressed because frequent demonstrations at various tourist attractions in Bali may jeopardize the security and comfort of tourists and affect the image of Bali as an international tourist destination. This study aims to: 1) To evaluate local government policies in community empowerment; 2) To measure perceived community-based tourism implemented   in the destination areas 3) To measure thelife satisfaction of the people in tourist destinations; 3)To measure individual   attitude toward toursm develoment  in Destinations. Sustainability of tourism destinations has become the main focus in planning and managing tourism development. Despite existing legislation and an institutional framework to safeguard balanced tourism growth, many destinations fail to properly address it. So far, studies are limited in exploring sustainable tourism impacts from a policy perspective. This study follows previous ones in using the triple bottom line sustainability approach to define tourism impacts. It argues, in particular, for a nexus between understanding of policy perception and sustainability, and it applies this to tourist destinations in Serbia to determine whether they are operating sustainably. For this purpose, the data were collected using a combination of multiple methods, involving interviews with policymakers and content analysis of strategic documents. This study further suggests a model that assesses the extent of the sustainability of tourist destinations. The results illustrate the importance of understanding policy perceptions in shaping and facilitating sustainability and informing policy enablers on how to improve and reform current tourism development. The model can be adopted and applied to any tourist destination facing an inevitable need to re-shape their tourism development plans and policies, while the implications address the need to build a participative policy approach to sustainable tourism development.

The effort to improve the number of tourist visits and foreign exchange have been happening in Indonesia. However, in its development, there are several obstacles, one of which is related to promotion. Therefore, it is necessary to implement the concept of story-driven marketing as an effort to promote tourism through stories and impressions that are disseminated through social media, by applying storytelling. This study aims to explore storytelling in two tourist destinations that are part of 5 super priority tourism destinations, Borobudur in Central Java and Danau Toba in South Sumatra, by looking at the Instagram accounts of the two tourist destinations, which are @borobudurpark and @danau_tobasamosir. This quantitative descriptive study used content analysis methods to study 3 elements of tourism in accordance with the 2009 Tourism Law (attractions, amenities, and accessibility), and also 5 elements of storytelling (setting, character, plot, conflict, and message). The research data was collected through document study by studying the Instagram account @borobudurpark and @danau_tobasamosir. The findings in this study are that the storytelling strategy is not yet optimal as a story-driven marketing strategy in tourism, because not all elements of storytelling appear in the posts of the research object's Instagram account. Most of the posts on the Instagram account of the Borobudur and Lake Toba tourist destinations only refer to the elements of the message and pay less attention to other elements of storytelling. The implication of this research is the need for various parties involved in tourism development to optimize social media as a means of promotion and improve storytelling strategies to attract tourists.
