Title: Study of Space Changing and Soundmark in Tamansari Heritage Tourism Area, Yogyakarta Tamansari area is an area of historical value. Until now, this region has been conserved and used as a heritage tourism. The Tamansari site, which has not been used anymore since the reign of Sultan Hamengkubuwono III, has caused the growth of residential areas around it. This causes a change in the solid void of the Tamansari area. Changes in the existing building structure create differences in the soundscape of the area that was once the location of the palace retreat and is now a heritage tourism area. In this study will discuss the changes that occur in the mass management of buildings in the Tamansari area that will affect the environmental acoustics of the area. This research method uses qualitative deductive method by comparing the shape of the space during the active period of the building as the resting of the Keraton family with the current building mass discussed with the theory of space and acoustic environment. The results of this study are changes in ground figures and linkages showing changes in the soundmark of the Tamansari area. Changing ground figures make the impact of increasingly diverse activities appear. Soundmark changed from the dominant calm voice to the nois dominant. The soundmark area changes from sounds that support a sacred atmosphere with sounds that are due to building density. This change in soundmark creates a change of sense of place from the Tamansari area.

The advent of Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) in Nigeria has brought immense advantages to the social and economic activities in the country. Despite the various advantages, the installation of telecommunication masts and base stations in residential areas has led to anxieties, fears and debates about the possible adverse effects on human health as well as security of properties. Instead of addressing the fears, the telecommunication companies continue to install telecommunication masts and base stations in the residential areas unabated. The article assesses the impact of these installations on health and properties of the residents in order to consider the reality of the fears and examines Nigerian laws to find out whether there are regulations that control how telecommunication masts are to be installed in residential areas to prevent health and property threat to the inhabitants. The article employs both doctrinal and non-doctrinal approaches of the qualitative legal research method by analysing legal and relevant texts and by conducting site surveys as well as unstructured interviews with residents who live near telecom masts.

The travel restrictions caused by the epidemic outbreak in early 2020 worldwide have caused many changes in all aspects of life, especially in the acoustic environment. This study examines the impact of this environmental change at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TSN), the largest airport in Vietnam, by comparing the situations before and after the airport stopped operating all international flights in March 2020. The after-the-change survey was conducted in 2 phases, June and September 2020, three months and six months after the stop decision. The number of flights observed in August 2019 was 728; this number is 413 and 299 for the two surveys in 2020. The range of noise levels estimated for 12 sites around TSN decreased from 63-81 dB in 2019 to 32-67 dB in June 2020 and 33-69 dB in September 2020. At the same aircraft noise level, the percentage of highly annoyed (% HA) and the percentage of insomnia (%ISM) in the 2020 survey are higher than those in the 2019 survey. The comparison results of reaction to noise before and after the TSN's noise change indicated an increase in negative responses to noise might happen in the increased noise and reduced noise situation.

The acoustic environment of urban residential areas is closely related to road traffic noise. More specifically, the effect of the light rail on the old residential area in Chongqing is potentially profound. Using geographic information system (GIS) to construct a map of the urban light rail’s influence on the acoustic environment of residential areas, the influence of noise can be determined. Very few studies exist on the impact of light rails on the acoustic environment of residential areas, and there is no literature on the impact of light rails on the acoustic environment of residential areas using GIS. In this study, the degree of influence of a light rail on nearby residential areas and the diffusion degree of light rail noise in these areas during various times of the day were analysed by measuring the objective indicators of acoustic landscape elements and evaluating subjective indicators. The layout mode of the residential areas and the light rail were superimposed, and other traffic noise influences were eliminated. This method provides a scientific basis for the planning, design, and reconstruction of residential areas.

The existence of residential areas around the Juwata Tarakan airport results in the presenceof domestic residents, namely cattle entering the airport. Besides that, there is a communityaround the airport that crosses the runway. This condition can disrupt flight safety andsecurity at Juwata Tarakan Airport. In addition to explaining the impact caused by theobstruction (obstruction) the purpose of this study is also to maximize air traffic services, especially the aspects of aviation security and safety. The method used in this study is aqualitative research method while some data collection techniques are interviews, documentation and observation. Techniques and data analysis using qualitative descriptivemethods, namely by way of research and observations of obstruction (obstacles) that arearound Juwata Tarakan Airport. The results of the study are expected that the airportmanagement in Tarakan can provide socialization to the surrounding residents, increasesecurity and coordination, add communication tools and make a guardrail around the airportarea.

Objectives This study investigates the hypothesis that hearing aid amplification reduces effort within conversation for both hearing aid wearers and their communication partners. Levels of effort, in the form of speech production modifications, required to maintain successful spoken communication in a range of acoustic environments are compared to earlier reported results measured in unaided conversation conditions. Design Fifteen young adult normal-hearing participants and 15 older adult hearing-impaired participants were tested in pairs. Each pair consisted of one young normal-hearing participant and one older hearing-impaired participant. Hearing-impaired participants received directional hearing aid amplification, according to their audiogram, via a master hearing aid with gain provided according to the NAL-NL2 fitting formula. Pairs of participants were required to take part in naturalistic conversations through the use of a referential communication task. Each pair took part in five conversations, each of 5-min duration. During each conversation, participants were exposed to one of five different realistic acoustic environments presented through highly open headphones. The ordering of acoustic environments across experimental blocks was pseudorandomized. Resulting recordings of conversational speech were analyzed to determine the magnitude of speech modifications, in terms of vocal level and spectrum, produced by normal-hearing talkers as a function of both acoustic environment and the degree of high-frequency average hearing impairment of their conversation partner. Results The magnitude of spectral modifications of speech produced by normal-hearing talkers during conversations with aided hearing-impaired interlocutors was smaller than the speech modifications observed during conversations between the same pairs of participants in the absence of hearing aid amplification. Conclusions The provision of hearing aid amplification reduces the effort required to maintain communication in adverse conditions. This reduction in effort provides benefit to hearing-impaired individuals and also to the conversation partners of hearing-impaired individuals. By considering the impact of amplification on both sides of dyadic conversations, this approach contributes to an increased understanding of the likely impact of hearing impairment on everyday communication.

Railway noise is calculated to predict the impact of new or reconstructed railway tracks on nearby residential areas. The results are used to prepare adequate counter- measures, and the calculation results are directly related to the cost of the action plans. The calculated values were used to produce noise maps for each area of inter- est. The Schall 03 2012 is one of the most frequently used methods for the production of noise maps. The latest version was released in 2012 and uses various input para- meters associated with the latest rail vehicles and track systems in Germany. This version has not been sufficiently used in South Korea, and there is a lack of standard guidelines and a precise manual for Korean railway systems. Thus, it is not clear what input parameters will match specific local cases. This study investigates the modeling procedure for Korean railway systems and the differences between calcu- lated railway sound levels and measured values obtained using the Schall 03 2012 model. Depending on the location of sound receivers, the difference between the cal- culated and measured values was within approximately 4 dB for various train types. In the case of high-speed trains, the value was approximately 7 dB. A noise-reducing measure was also modeled. The noise reduction effect of a low-height noise barrier system was predicted and evaluated for operating railway sites within the frame- work of a national research project in Korea. The comparison of calculated and measured values showed differences within 2.5 dB.

Development of village fund management is very much needed by the community so that it can be enjoyed by all levels of society in the villages. The seriousness of the government in developing villages is evidenced by the start of allocation of the Village Fund budget for 2015. The allocation of the Village Fund is mandated by Law (Law) Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages and Government Regulation (PP) Number 6 of 2014 concerning Village Funds Sourced from STATE BUDGET. The regulation explained that the administration of the village government adheres to the principle of decentralization and the task of assistance. The principle of decentralization raises village internal funding (Desa APBD), while the principle of co-administration provides an opportunity for Villages to obtain funding sources from the government above it (APBN, Provincial APBD, Regency / City APBD). This study aims to observe what the development of village funds looks like, how they are implemented and the impact of the use of village funds in supporting development activities and community empowerment. The research method used is a qualitative research method that relies on observing places, actors and activities in Konawe Selatan Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, which was chosen as a case study. Initial observations show that the Village Fund does not have significant results in improving the welfare of the community. These indications are evident in the welfare of the community which has not improved with the existence of the village fund. Therefore it is necessary to develop a good management of village funds to improve the welfare of rural communities, especially in Konawe Selatan District. The output to be achieved is the scientific publication with ISSN Online and the level of technological Readiness that will be achieved 1-3.
