Abstract The research aims to determine the cognitive and affective aspects of learning outcomes on food preservation learning that applies formative assessment using Plickers app. The study used quasi experimental method with non equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 22 students as an experimental class and 22 students as a control class. Measurement of learning outcomes of cognitive aspects was based on the reults of the pretest and posttest. Measurement of learning outcomes for affective aspects was based on the results of assessment of indicators of visual, verbal, listening, drawing, writing, motor, mental, and emotional activity. The results showed that the experimental group that implemented formative assessment using the Plickers app had cognitive learning outcomes better than the control class. The average score of the N-Gain experiment class was 0.486 (in the medium category), while the control class was 0,266 (in the low category). The average results of the indicators assessment of affective aspects on the experiment class was in a very good category whereas the control class was in a good category. Applying formative assessments with the Plickers app not only provides assessments but also increases student learning activities and involvement in the learning process. Penilaian formatif menggunakan teknologi pada materi pengawetan bahan panganPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar pada aspek kognitif dan afektif siswa pada pembelajaran materi pengawetan bahan pangan yang menerapkan formative assessment menggunakan aplikasi Plickers. Penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental method dengan non equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 22 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 22 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengukuran hasil belajar aspek kognitif dilakukan berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Pengukuran hasil belajar aspek afektif didasarkan pada hasil penilaian indikator aktivitas visual, lisan, mendengarkan, menggambar, menulis, motorik, mental, dan emosional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan formative assessment menggunakan aplikasi Plickers memiliki hasil belajar pada aspek kognitif yang lebih baik dari kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen adalah 0,486 (kategori sedang) sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah 0,266 (kategori rendah). Rata-rata penilaian indikator hasil belajar aspek afektif kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori sangat baik sedangkan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori baik. Penerapan penilaian formatif dengan aplikasi selain memberikan penilaian juga meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan keterlibatan siswa.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Learning to read in Indonesian language material in grade IV SDN 1 Sumberagung is still dominated by the teacher as the delivery material using the lecture method (teacher centered) so that students are not optimal in the learning process because students are less interested in learning and result in many student learning outcomes under the KKM. This study aims to determine the effect on the SQ3R learning method on class IV Indonesian language learning outcomes at SDN 1 Sumberagung. This study uses a research method that is quantitative with the type of research that is quasi experimental design with the research design is a non equivalent control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of 50 students. The results of the implementation of the sq3r learning method show an increase in learning outcomes which can be seen from the results of the t test based on the hypotheses performed showing the results of t count 6.866&gt; t table 2.011 and the significance value of 0.000 &lt;alpha 0.050. The conclusion of the data is that there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class.</p><strong>Abstrak: </strong><strong> </strong>Pembelajaran membaca pada materi bahasa Indonesia di kelas IV SDN 1 Sumberagung masih didominasi guru sebagai penyampai materi dengan menggunakan metode ceramah (<em>teacher centered</em>) sehingga siswa belum optimal dalam proses pembelajaran dikarenakan siswa kurang tertarik dengan pembelajaran dan berakibat pada hasil belajar siswa banyak yang masih dibawah KKM. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pada metode pembelajaran SQ3R terhadap hasil belajar bahasa indonesia kelas IV di SDN 1 Sumberagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian yakni kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitiannya yaitu <em>quasi experimental design</em> dengan design penelitiannya adalah <em>non-equivalent control group design</em><em>.</em> Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 50 siswa. Hasil pelaksanaan metode pembelajaran SQ3R menunjukkan peningkatan pada hasil belajar yang terlihat dari hasil uji t berdasarkan hipotesis yang dilakukan menunjukkan hasil nilai t hitung 6,866 &gt; t tabel 2,011 dan nilai signifikasnsi 0,000 &lt;alpha 0,050. Kesimpulan dari data adalah ada perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.

The purpose of this study was to determine the students’ ability to write narrative essays and to determine the significant effect of conferencing approach assisted by audio-visual media for grade Vstudents at SD Negeri 26 Arungkeke, Kabupaten Jeneponto. The type of this study was quasi experimental research. The design of this study was a non-quivalent control group design. This study found that the average score of students’ ability to write narrative essays in the control class for pretest was 63.90 and the average score for posttest was 74.52. Meanwhile, the average score of pretest in the experimental class was 59.48 and the average postest score was 80.24. The result of N-Gian score test in the control class was an average of 0.24152, indicating that the learning outcomes of writing narrative essays were low. Whereas, the average score of N-Gain test in the experimental class was 0.4640, indicating that the learning outcomes of writing narrative essays were moderate. After that, the result of T test revealed that tcount 2,283> ttable 0.021 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was received. The significant value of 2-tiled was 0.030 <sig. 0.05; thus, conferencing approach assisted by audio-visual media gave a significant effect on the students’ ability to write narrative essays at grade V SD Negeri 26 Arungkeke, Kabupaten Jeneponto.

Abstrak Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah ditemukan kondisi-kondisi sebagai berikut, dalam pembelajaran IPA proses pembelajarannya masih menekankan konsep-konsep yang ada di buku, belum digunakannya media benda konkret dalam pembelajaran IPA, penyampaian materi belum memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar sebagai proses pembelajaran, hasil belajar siswa yang masih di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), belum menggunakan metode eksperimen dalam proses pembelajaran.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan metode eksperimen berbantu media benda konkret terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sendangmulyo 01 Semarang tahun ajaran 2016/ 2017.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dalam bentuk Quasi Experimental Design tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design dengan menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling yaitu sampling purposive. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji t satu pihak diperoleh thitung = 1,913 dan , karena  maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen berbantu media benda konkret efektif terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Saran yang dapat penulis sampaikan hendaknya guru dapat menerapkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen berbantu media benda konkret. Abstract The background of this study was found to conditions as follows, in science teaching learning process still emphasizes the concepts in the book only, not the use of the media of concrete objects in science learning, not yet use of learning resources that are around the students, student learning outcomes are still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), have not used experimental methods in the learning process. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the experimental method to the concrete object of media-assisted learning outcomes fifth grade science students of SD Negeri 01 Semarang Sendangmulyo academic year 2016 / 2017. This research is an experiment in the form of Quasi-Experimental Design Control Group Design Nonequivalent type using techniques nonprobability sampling purposive sampling. Based on the calculation of the t test obtained t = 1.913 and T_ (1-?) = t _ ((0.95) (35)) = 1.67, because t_hitung = 1.913 ? t _ ((0.95) (35)) = 1.67 then H0 is rejected and Ha is received, it can be concluded that the study conducted by the experimental method of concrete objects effective media assisted on learning outcomes IPA. Suggestions to the authors convey the teacher should be able to apply the learning by using media-assisted experiments concrete objects.

This research is motivated by the low involvement of students in learning. This study aims to determine the differences in the learning outcomes of science students between the experimental class and the control class by applying the learning model VAK. This study uses quasi-experimental methods with a nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted in 147 Public Elementary Schools Pekanbaru with class IV D as the experimental class and class IV A as the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen from the experimental class pretest score of 51.25 and posttest which is 80.63. In the control class the average score of the pretest was 45.53 and posttest was 72.89.The score of the average gain of experimental class science learning outcomes is 0.62 and the average score of the control class is 0.50. The results of the t-test gain score average thitung >  ttabel or 2,89966 > 1,99547 then Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the t gain test between the experimental class and the control class there were differences in learning outcomes IPA student learning in class IVSD Negeri 147 Pekanbaru which are significant.

This study aims to determine how much influence the model of learning picture and picture assisted media game wheel of luck to the activity and student learning outcomes on science subjects class IV SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang. The form of this research is quantitative research with Quasi Experimental Design design with Non-equivalent Control Group Design design. Sampling technique used is Nonprobability. The population of this study is all students of class IV SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang. Data collection techniques in this study using documentation, observation, tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques consist of normality test, homogeneity test, completeness test and t test. Data analysis using t test obtained result 4,452 bigger than t table that is 1,990. The result of the research shows that the use of picture and picture learning model with the media of wheel of lucky game has an effect on the activity and the result of learning of fourth grade students of SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang on the concept of animal life cycle. Keywords: Picture and Picture Model, Lucky Wheel, Activity and Learning Outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa dan akhirnya hasil belajar siswa tidak mencapai KKM. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental Design dengan bentuk desain Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu Nonprobability. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam  penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi, tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji ketuntasan belajar dan uji t. Analisis data menggunakan uji t diperoleh hasil 4,452 lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 1,990. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan media permainan roda keberuntungan berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang pada konsep daur hidup hewan.Kata kunci: Model Picture and Picture, Roda keberuntungan, Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar.

Problem solving is a process that has been implemented in order to obtain a solution to a problem that is carried out in stages. Teamwork is the ability of individuals to work together with others and aims for members to be able to participate in the team and understand their duties. This study aims to determine the ability to solve problems and teamwork (teamwork) in children aged 10 years using puzzles. This research is an experimental study with a quasi-experimental design: non-equivalent control group design. The participants in this study were 8 children aged 10 years consisting of 5 boys and 3 girls. The data collection in this study was the acquisition of time in the preparation of puzzles. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the t-test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that the experimental group has faster problem solving than the control group because of the learning outcomes of teamwork.

Geography learning is meaningless if it is not followed by the development of students' spatial thinking ability. Research aimed to 1) determine the effect of earthcomm learning and conventional learning on geography learning outcomes, 2) find out the effect of spatial thinking ability on geography learning outcomes, 3) find out the interaction between the application of earthcomm learning and spatial thinking ability on geography learning outcomes. Research used a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was taken from three high schools in Malang City, Indonesia. Geography learning outcomes data were obtained from paper-based test and spatial thinking ability data obtained from spatial thinking test instruments. Data were analyzed using Two Way ANOVA test using SPSS devices. The results of the research, 1) there is an effect of the application of learning to students’ geography learning outcomes, 2) there is an influence of the ability of spatial thinking on geography learning outcomes, 3) there is no interaction between the application of learning and spatial thinking on geography learning outcomes. Efforts to improve learning outcomes and spatial thinking ability are needed by students to face the challenges of global competition. This research aims to know the effect of group investigation learning on student’s science process skill based on their IQ in SMAN 1 Mataram for eleventh grade students. This is a quasi experimental study using pretest postest control group design design. Pretest was taken to get data of student’s IQ. Posttest was also conducted to measure student’s science process skill. Sample was taken using nonprobability sampling from the population of eleventh grade student in SMAN 1 Mataram.The sample was two group of student each from two class, class XI sains 6 and as experimental group and class XI sains 5 as control group. The average os Student’s IQ on experimental group and control group were equal, both at 112. Learning processes were 12 x 45 minutes long in total. The experimental group showed better average score on posttest where they scored 82.40 on average, while control group only scored 74.83 on average. This value is statistically significant, at p = 0.007, less that 0.005. This result shows that implementation of group investigation can increase student’s science process skill.Keywords: Group investigation, science process skill, intelligence Quotient (IQ)ABSTRACT

Effectiveness of video and illustrated book to improve mothers’ knowledge, attitude, and skill of handwashing with soapPurposeThis study aimed to determine the effect of video and illustrated book to mothers’ knowledge, attitude, and skill of handwashing with soap in Air Terbit village and Sungai Putih village. MethodsThis study used quasi-experimental design, with a non-equivalent control group design. Samples consisted of 21 respondents in each group, which were chosen with predetermined inclusion criteria. ResultsBivariate analysis showed no significant differences in knowledge, attitudes, and skills (p>0.05) between illustrated book and video during the pretest. At the posttest, knowledge in both groups were significantly different (p<0.05) which showed the illustrated book was more effective to improve knowledge than video. For attitude and skills during posttest, results were significantly different showing the video was more effective to be used (p<0.05). Comparing knowledge, attitude and skill in the pretest and posttest in both groups, significant differences (p<0.05) were obtained. ConclusionIllustrated books effectively increased mothers' knowledge of handwashing with soap, while video was more effective to improve mothers’ attitude and skill of handwashing with soap.

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Edmodo as a media study review of the learning outcomes; Knowing the learning independence relationship with learning outcomes and Knowing the influence of hybrid learning on learning independence and learning outcomes. This is experimental method with  Non-Equivalent  Control  Group Design,  consists of four groups of treatment with varied hybrid learning proportions,  each  50% (meaning  50%  learning hybrid learning and  50%  face to face), 60% (meaning  60%  of hybrid learning and  40%  face to face),  and  70% (meaning  70%  hybrid learning and  30%  face-to-face),  and one  group of others is a  conventional group (only face to face),  this group as a  control group. Data Collection with questionnaires for learning independence and knowledge tests to determine learning achievement. The  results  showed: (1)  the  use  of  Edmodo  was  effective  in  enhancing  the  results  of  a  larger  experimental  class  learning  compared  to  the  control  class  so  that  learning  became  Optimal, (2) a  significant  relationship  of learning independence learning  with  learning  outcomes,  significance  0.000, (3)  there  is  a  difference  of  influence  of  significant  variation  of  hybrid  learning  to learning independence and  learning  outcomes,  with  significance  0,037
