This article is a brief introduction to some of the issues that teachers of programming may find helpful. It starts by presenting a fairly idiosyncratic view of teaching programming which makes use of mechanistic analogies and points out some of the pitfalls. The article goes on to examine certain errors based on the misapplication of analogies as well as certain interaction errors. The main emphasis is on the notional machine both at the general level of understanding (and misunderstanding) the relationship of the terminal to the computer as such, as well as at the more specific level of understanding assignment. Notation and mistakes that poorly-designed languages can induce novices to commit are discussed.

The main problems and philosophical issues of countering religious extremism, as well as emerging issues of religious philosophy and metaphysics are revealed. A comprehensive analysis of the problem of religious extremism in various aspects is carried out from the standpoint of law, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology. The philosophical essence of religious extremism is established as a violation of socially acceptable behavior and established relations. Variants of human behavior after interaction with traditional religion and new religious movements are considered. Levels of destructiveness of religious extremism, methods and ways of counteracting it are revealed. The essence of states controlled by extremist-minded leaders is analyzed. It is noted that in most scientific works the problematic issues of manifestations of religious extremism are studied in the context of political, legal and socio-philosophical manifestations, as well as from the relationship of religious philosophy and metaphysics, and when defining the concept of religious extremism the main emphasis is made on principles of law and politics with application of base categories of ideology.

THE RELATIONSHIP OF STUDENTS' UNDERSTANDING LEVEL OF ANIMAL MORPHOLOGY CHARACTERISTICS WITH THE ABILITY TO MEMORIZE ANIMAL LATIN NAMES IN GRADE 10 IPAAbstractAnimal taxonomy subjects often use animal's Latin names. Many students think that this subject is annoying because it is dominated by memorizing animal's Latin names, even though memorizing becomes a prerequisite for understanding. Meanwhile, most of the language materials memorized need an understanding before the memorizing process. This study aimed to find a relationship between the level of students' understanding of an animal's morphological characteristics and the ability to memorize animal's Latin names at the Xth grade of IPA students in SMAN 3 Jember. This study used a quantitative approach with a type of ex post facto. The test obtained the data. Then it was descriptively and inferentially analyzed by Kendall correlation. This research indicated that 56 students who answered test of the level of understanding animal's morphological characteristics and the ability to memorize animal's Latin names resulted in a correlation coefficient of score 0.673, and significance 0,000 < 0.05. Therefore, if the level of students’ understanding of an animal's morphological characteristics increased, the ability to memorize animal's Latin names at the Xth grade of IPA students in SMAN 3 Jember also increased, conversely. Banyak siswa beranggapan bahwa materi tersebut membosankan karena didominasi oleh menghafal nama latin hewan, padahal menghafal menjadi prasyarat pemahaman. Sementara itu, sebagian besar materi bahasa yang dihafal membutuhkan pemahaman sebelum proses menghafal berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui hubungan tingkat pemahaman karakteristik morfologi hewan dengan kemampuan menghafal nama latin hewan pada siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Jember. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis eks post facto. Data didapatkan menggunakan instrumen tes. Kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan korelasi Kendall. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 56 siswa yang menjawab tes tingkat pemahaman karakteristik morfologi hewan dan kemampuan menghafal nama latin hewan menghasilkan koefisien korelasi 0,673 dan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, jika tingkat pemahaman karakteristik morfologi hewan meningkat, kemampuan menghafal nama latin hewan pada siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Jember juga meningkat, begitupula sebaliknya.

The article examines the essential and logical-hierarchical relationships of such concepts as poetic discourse, poetic language, and the language of poetry. The relevance of the research is determined by fact that the understanding and interpretation of poetic discourse within the framework of the scientific theory is in a state of development, the methodology of literary criticism and linguistics is evolving, and many concepts are still confused. Opinions expressed by the researchers who have studied the essence of poetic language and language of poetry, as well as support the concept of poetic discourse, are analyzed. The main results of the study include the definition of concepts of ethical discourse, poetic language, and the language of poetry in close logical and epistemological relationship with each other. Based on the obtained results, the following conclusions are made. Firstly, the phenomenal essence of poetic language is described. Secondly, the mechanism of poetic discourse development is viewed as a result of two refractions (author’s and reader’s) of the language of poetry. At the same time, the language of poetry is presented as a locus (modus) of a worldview or a linguistic worldview. Thirdly, poetic discourse is considered as part of artistic discourse, which is not only emotional and aesthetic, but also cognitive and aesthetic content. The above-given conclusions are important for the theory of linguistics and literary criticism, because they contain the rationale for the statement that poetic discourse is a level of understanding and interpretation of the language of poetry as a mode of the linguistic reality. At the same time, poetic language is a skillfully applied technological side of a special kind of creative, heuristic activity.

This paper reviews work on the stability of a particulate stream bed to the erosive attack of a flow with a free surface. Attention is given to the development of the hydraulic, the potential-flow and the rotational-flow models, and to the roles of phase lags and transport laws. The relationship of the stability theory to the ultimate form of the stream bed is discussed, and the current level of understanding of bed features is examined. Some investigations relating to a wider range of erosive processes are noted, and an extensive bibliography is provided.

The availability of communication and information technology (ICT) facilities have played an important role in making the learning and programming process (PdPc) successful in the 21st century. ICT has become a great medium for facilitating information sharing and discovery, especially in the education world. However, our country concerns about teachers' readiness to accept reforms in education. In addition, the level of ICT in teachers is still low and poor internet access is hindering the use of ICT among teachers, especially teachers who teach in rural schools. Therefore, this study aims to look at the relationship of ICT usage among students in the state of Terengganu with the advent of the industrial revolution 4.0. This study is a quantitative study by descriptive review and inference. The questionnaire was used as a research instrument to collect data and a total of 102 regular daily SMK students in Terengganu were selected as the study sample. The data of this study were analysed by descriptive and inferential analysis involving percentage, frequency, mean score, “Independent Samples T-Test” and correlation. The findings of this study indicate that there is no significant difference in the level of understanding of IR 4.0 based on gender and school location factors. The study also found that there was no significant difference in the use of ICT as a medium of learning based on school location. However, there is a significant correlation between the understandings of IR 4.0 on the use of ICT in learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that students in Terengganu state ICT as a means of gaining and sharing knowledge as well as the medium of learning today. The results of this study are expected to provide important information to the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) in enhancing ICT integration in the PdPc process in schools.   Kewujudan kemudahan teknologi komunikasi dan maklumat (ICT) berperanan penting dalam menjayakan proses pembelajaran dan pemudahcaraan (PdPc) pada abad ke-21. ICT telah menjadi medium perantara yang baik dalam memaksiumkan perkongsian dan pencarian informasi khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan. Namun, Negara kita menghadapi masalah mengenai kesediaan guru untuk menerima pembaharuan dalam pendidikan. Selain itu juga, tahap pengusaan ICT dalam kalangan guru-guru masih rendah dan capaian internet yang lemah menjadi kekangan penggunaan ICT dalam kalangan guru, terutamanya guru yang mengajar di sekolah luar Bandar. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan penggunaan ICT dalam kalangan pelajar di negeri Terengganu seiring dengan kemunculan revolusi industri 4.0. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif secara tinjauan deskriptif dan inferensi. Soal selidik digunakan sebagai instrumen kajian untuk mengumpulkan data dan seramai 102 orang pelajar SMK harian biasa di Terengganu dipilih sebagai sampel kajian. Data kajian ini dianalisis secara analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensi yang melibatkan peratusan, kekerapan, skor min, “Independent Samples T-Test” dan korelasi. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan tahap kefahaman IR 4.0 berdasarkan faktor jantina dan lokasi sekolah. Kajian juga mendapati tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan penggunaan ICT sebagai medium pembelajaran berdasarkan lokasi sekolah. Walau bagaimanapun, terdapat perkaitan yang signifikan antara kefahaman tentang IR 4.0 terhadap penggunaan ICT dalam pembelajaran. Justeru, dapat disimpulkan bahawa pelajar-pelajar di negeri Terengganu menjadikan ICT sebagai wadah menimba dan berkongsi ilmu pengetahuan serta menjadi medium pembelajaran masa kini. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi maklumat penting kepada Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) dalam usaha meningkatkan pengintergrasian ICT dalam proses PdPc di sekolah-sekolah.

Homework has been a source of debate in schools for the past several decades and will continue to be an important topic in the future. It is a traditional part of education but some debate its importance in the classroom. This study explored student perception of homework and their reported performance in basic and secondary level school mathematics. The research questions focused on student attitudes about homework, the relationship of students’ self-efficacy and support resources to their homework completion, and the relationship of students’ general level of achievement in mathematics with respect to gender, level and achievement level. The study involved a survey of 402 students of Tokha Municipality. The survey did not demonstrate reliable measurement of the hypothesized factors of purpose, self-efficacy, and support resources related to students’ overall perceptions about homework. However, overall, students reported positive attitudes and grades in math class. On the basis of gender and level in which students study, there is no significant difference on the perception while there is statistically significant difference on the basis of students' achievement in examination. It is recommended that a good and healthy home environment and sound teacher student relationship yields in good achievement score and boosts up overall perception on mathematics homework.

Islamic religious education  taught in schools is an important subject for students. Islamic Religious Education does not only cover cognitive sense in the form of knowledge and material, but more broadly covers the psychomotor domain and especially the affective domain which leads to the formation of student morals. Even Islamic Religious Education instilled in students must be able to form a strong understanding of the religious soul in students. Some previous studies have not touched on the level of understanding of the religious soul in students as a result of Islamic Religious Education. Previous studies only discussed the extent of Islamic Religious Education is relationship with the formation of students' character or character. The purpose of the research is to find out the relationship of Islamic Religious Education learning with the understanding of students' religious souls. The research method that I use is a type of quantitative research using the product moment formula and the data collection tools used in the form of observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The sample in this study amounted to 36 people. Based on the results of research and calculations with an error level of 5% (trust) and N (36), then r table = 0.329. Then the price r count is greater than r table or 0.696> 0.329. Thus the results were obtained that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that there was a relationship between Islamic religious education learning and the understanding of the religious life of students of class sains in senior high school of 05 Bengkulu Selatan.

The interpretation of entropy and negative entropy theories on the nature of information is the first scientific paradigm on the interpretation of the nature of information at the beginning of the rise of contemporary information science. The information entropy or negative entropy theories are the relative measurement for the structuralization degree of the system at a specific level, which have certain characteristics of relativity, functionality, and quantification. Although the concepts of entropy, negative entropy, information, entropy increase, and entropy decrease often have very different specific meanings in different disciplines and for different scientists, the meanings of these concepts are unified in essence and the differences between them are generated when the same kind of concepts is applied to the study of different directions of the same kind of phenomena: either to the static structuralization degree of the system or to the change of the dynamic structuralization degree of the system. Since entropy and negative entropy theories only measure the relationship of structural differences at a specific level of the system from a formal aspect, they are not aimed at the information itself but rather they are aimed at only the structuralization characteristics of the information carrier itself at a specific level. Because of this, it is impossible to deduce the general nature of information directly from such theories.

This paper explores the major causes, processes and consequences of natural resource conflicts between tribes across the Sudan – South Sudan border region, with the main emphasis on the Abyei territory. Data for the study have been gathered from primary and secondary sources. The research revealed that the conflict over ownership of Abyei’s renewable and non-renewable resources has evolved as a contentious issue between Sudan and South Sudan. The situation was complicated by the relationship of the Humr Misseriya and Ngok Dinka and their governments, respectively. Moreover, lack of agreement about who should be considered a resident of Abyei derailed a referendum on the territory’s status. The government of Sudan and Humr Misseriya have not yet accepted all proposals and agreements for resolving the conflict. Despite the fact that there are new and positive political developments between the two countries, mainly in 2019–2020, these have not been extended to the settlement of the final status of Abyei. For a durable peace in the Abyei region and its environment, both governments need to work toward realising mutual benefits based on the agreed principles and proposals stipulated in the Abyei Protocol of 2004–2005 and the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel of 2012.
