Contribution of academic self-concept and parental social support to learning motivation. This research is motivated by the low student motivation. Academic self-concept and parental social support are thought to have an effect on student motivation. This study aims to describe: (1) academic self-concept, (2) parental social support, (3) student learning motivation, (4) Contribution of academic self-concept to student learning motivation, (5) contribution of parental social support to student learning motivation , and (6) the contribution of academic self-concept and parents' social support together on learning motivation. This research uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The study population was students of class X and XI at SMKN 6 Padang, totaling 983 students, a sample of 284 students, who were selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that academic self-concept and parental social support together have a significant effect on learning motivation at SMKN 6 Padang by 64.5%. The implications of the results of this study can be used as a needs analysis in making Guidance and Counseling service programs at SMKN 6 Padang.

This study aims to analyze (1) learning achievement, emotional intelligence and social support of parents, (2) the contribution of emotional intelligence and social support both individually and collectively to student achievement behavior. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The study population was 436 students of SMK Country 3 Padang. The research sample was 209 students who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument uses a scale of emotional intelligence, and social support from parents and the results of the students' mid-semester value recap. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple regression, multiple regression. The results of the study proved that: (1) emotional intelligence contributed 31.5% to student achievement, (2) parents' social support contributed 27.6% to student achievement, (3) emotional intelligence, shared parent social support contributed on student achievement as much as 33.4%. The implication of the results of this study can be used as input for making guidance and counseling service programs in improving student learning achievement.

This study aims to describe and analyze self-efficacy, social support, and teacher readiness to face retirement. The research was carried out using descriptive quantitative methods. The population of this research is 125 teachers who will retire in Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota, Riau, and the research sample is 95 teachers who will retire in Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota, Riau. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The research data were analyzed using simple regression and multiple regression. The data analysis process uses the help of the SPSS program. The findings of this study are: (1) self-efficacy contributes to teacher readiness to face retirement with an effective contribution of 28.1%, (2) social support contributes to teacher readiness to face retirement by 21.6% (3) self-efficacy and social support simultaneously. collectively contributed 31.5% to teachers' readiness to face retirement. The implications of the results of this study can be used as a basis for the preparation of guidance and counseling service programs.

The problem in this study is the existence of learning outcomes under the KKM standard of competence in the Electrical Fundamental students of class X Aiframe Powerplant of Nusantara Ketaping Flight Academy. The purpose of this study was to reveal how much the students' motivation and learning facilities contributed individually or together to the learning outcomes of Electrical Fundamental students of class X. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The study population amounted to 137 and a sample of 58 students in class X Aiframe. The sampling technique is done by proportional random sampling. Data on student learning outcomes are obtained from the curriculum section. While data on student motivation and learning facilities were obtained through questionnaires using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis show that (1) Motivation of students and learning facilities together contribute significantly to learning outcomes 27.88%, (2) Motivation of students contributing significantly to student learning outcomes of class X Electrical Fundamental expertise programs of 13, 91%, (3) Learning facilities contribute significantly to the learning outcomes of class X students. Electrical Fundamental skills program at Nusantara Nusantara Ketaping Vocational High School is 8.64%. So it can be concluded that Motivation of Students and Facilities Learning together or partially contributes to class X student learning outcomes Electrical Fundamental competency standard skills program class X Aiframe Powerplant SMK Nusantara Ketaping Flight.Keywords: Student Motivation, Learning Facilities, Learning Outcomes

Learning motivation has an important role in student learning process. The objectives of this research are to describe students career planning, to describe student attribution, to describe students learning motivation, to examine the correlation between career planning and students learning motivation, to examine the correlation between attribution and students learning motivation, and to examine the correlation between career planning and students learning motivation. The research uses correlational descriptive type of quantitative method. The population of research are 435 students of Curriculum and Education Technology Major in State University of Padang. A sample of 208 students was chosen by proportional random sampling technique. The instruments used were career planning, attribution, and students learning motivation. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, linear regression and multiple regression. The research findings show that 1) in general students already have a good career planning 2) student attribution is in the middle category 3) student learning motivation is in high category 4) there is a positive significant correlation between career planning and student learning motivation 5) there is a positive significant correlation between attribution and learning motivation 6) there is a positive significant correlation between career planning and attribution with student learning motivation, and (7) the implication of this research findings can be used as a feedback for making a program of guidance and counseling service which can improve career planning, attribution, and students learning motivation.

This study motivated by the low level of student motivation in mathematics subjects. The application of high-touch teachers and academic self-concept are factors that influence students' learning toward motivation in mathematics subjects. This study uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The population of this study was all students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru totalling 1138 and 322 students were selected by using proportional stratified random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires for the application of high scored teachers’, academic self-concept, and student learning motivation in mathematics subjects using a model Likert scale. The findings of the study were the application of high touch teachers in a good category, academic self-concept was in a fairly positive category, student motivation in mathematics subjects was in the high category, the application of high touch teachers and academic self-concept respectively contributes significantly positively to students' learning motivation on mathematics subjects.

This study analyses the relationship between student' learning motivation and student learning independence on dynamic electrical material in class IX SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. The research method used is descriptive, with a correlative form of research. The population is 117 student from all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya, the sample used in this study was 89 students. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Values used for independent and bound variables use a questionnaire. The Values analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and correlations with the coefficient of determination at a significant level of 5%. The result of research found that (1) student motivation in class IX SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya in the good category; (2) the independence of student learning was in a good category;  and (3) there was a positive and significant relationship between student motivation on student learning independence. So it can be concluded that the greater the student's learning motivation, the greater their learning independence.

This research was done because of phenomenon of the students’ low motivation to get the achievement at school. Self concept and social support from the teacher have a correlation for creating the students’ potential giftedness to get an achievement in learning. The role of the teachers, especially the teachers of guidance and counseling are needed in improving the students’ achievement at school in order to improve their learning achievement. This research has purpose to find the social support, self concept, and achievement motivation of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. This research is also done for knowing the contribution of social support and self concept through achievement motivation of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. This research used correlational approach which has purpose to know how is the contribution among the research variables. The population of the research is the students of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. The amount of the population was 601 students. The sample of this research was 240 students. It had been taken by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed by using descriptive technique and the hypothesis testing was done by using path analysis. The result shows that: (1) social support is in the enough category with average score is 115.9 or 77.29 of the ideal score, (2)  the self concept is in the enough category with average score is 93.53 or 74.82% of the ideal score, (3) students’ achievement motivation is in the enough category with average score 114.4 or 76.27 of the ideal score, (4) the contribution of social support through the students’ achievement motivation is about 20.2%, (5) the contribution of self concept through the students’ achievement motivation is about 14.4%, and (6) the contribution of social support and self concept through students achievement motivation is about 25.7%

This study aims to find out the correlation of comic learning media with the students' learning motivation VII class in organizational life system materials. This research type is quantitative and research method of pre-experiment. Sampling technique is with cluster random sampling. Data collection was done by observation and using questionnaire. The results showed there was a positive and significant correlation between comic learning media with student learning motivation on organizational life system in VII class with correlation value 0,876. This value is categorized into a strong relationship with a significant value of 10,099. The result of coefficient of determination is 76,7% and the rest 23,3% influenced by other factor outside research variable. Based on this, it can be seen that the comic learning media can foster student learning motivation during the learning process in the classroom. Students interested in comic media are influenced by the visual factors of the comic media itself both in terms of design, appearance, material and images that support each other so that students are interested and happy to read back or review materials that have been taught in the classroom. Interesting learning process can foster students' learning motivation in the classroom where the learning media is a tool that can help the learning process more interesting.

The research was backgrounded by still low level of the learning motivation of students. The self-concept and parental support suspectted to affect the learning motivation of students. This research aims to describe : (1) the self-concepts, (2) parental support, (3) learning motivation of students, (4) the contribution of the self-concept toward the learning motivation of students, (5) the parental support contributions toward the learning motivation of students, and (6) the contribution of self-concept and parental support together against to the learning motivation of students. This study used a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The population of this research was students of SMA Negeri 8 Padang in class XI and XII which totaled 464 people. The number of samples are 215 people, selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is the scale. Results validity and reliability of the instrument self-concept, parental support, and learning motivation of student stated that valid and reliable research instruments. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression. The findings showed that: (1) the average description of self-concepts are in positive category, (2) an average description of parental support are in high category, (3) description of the learning motivation of students are in high category, (4) there is contribution of self-concept toward the learning motivation of students by 24.2%, (5) there is contribution of parental support toward the learning motivation of students by 18.8%, and (6) there are contributions of self-concept and parental support together toward the learning motivation of students amounted to 30.7%. Implications of the research results can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services.

The last few years have been the most difficult due to Covid-19, a disease that attacks and is transmitted through the human respiratory tract, sweeping the world. As a result, a number of public facilities were closed including schools so that the distance learning model was applied. The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has made it possible to decrease student learning motivation which is the key to student learning success. Thus, it is important to study the factors that affect student learning motivation. This study aims to describe student learning motivation in terms of self-concept support, parental support, subject teachers, guidance and counseling teachers and smartphone facility factors. This type of research is descriptive using quantative methods. The population of this study were students of MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan, totaling 711 students, with a sample of 256 students who were taken using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The results of the study found that in general the learning motivation of MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan students during the Covid-19 pandemic was in the moderate category, which means that most students lost their motivation to learn.
