Abstract: The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the implementation of cognitive conflict approaches based on experimental methods on mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills. Quasi Experimental Design research design. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence of the implementation of cognitive conflict assessment on mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills with an average value of critical thinking skills 77.33 and mastery of concepts 77.66. While the effect of verification practicum on critical thinking skills and mastery of the concept of learning outcomes has less significant qualifications with the average value of critical thinking skills 69.32 and mastery of concepts 71.10. From the results of the t-test obtained critical sign critical thinking skills <0.05 that is with a value of 0.000 <0.05 and mastery of the concept of 0.000> 0.05 then H_1 is accepted. The implications of the results of this study are very important for teachers to apply the cognitive conflict approach based on the experimental method. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan gambaran implementasi pendekatan konflik kognitif berbasis metode eksperimen terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis.Desain penelitianQuasi Experimental Design.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa terdapat pengaruhpositif daan signifikan dari implementasi pendektan konflik kognitif terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis 77,33 dan penguasaan konsep 77,66. Sedangkan pengaruh praktikum verifikasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep hasil belajar memiliki kualifikasi kurang signifikan dengan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis 69,32 dan penguasaan konsep 71,10. Dari hasil uji-t diperoleh kemampuan berpikir kritis kritis sign < 0,05 yaitu dengan nilai 0.000<0.05 dan penguasaan konsep 0.000 > 0.05 maka  diterima.Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah sangat penting bagi guru untuk menerapkan pendekatan konflik kognitif berbasis metode eksperimen.

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of students of class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Karawang on PPKn subjects through the Decision Making learning model. The use of this learning model is one of the efforts to improve critical thinking skills of students of class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Karawang on PPKn subjects. The research method used in this study is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which is research conducted by teachers in their own class with the aim of improving their performance as teachers, so that student learning outcomes become more improved. The PTK model used is the Kemmis & Mc model. Taggart which consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used are test results, observation, and interviews. Learning outcomes tests are used to measure students' success in critical thinking skills in the subject of analyzing cases of threats to ideology, politics, economics, socio-culture, defense and security and strategies to overcome them in the frame of Bhineka Tungga Ika). Observation and interview using observation format and interview format. The results showed that the use of the Decision Making learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in PPKn subjects. From the pre-action class average value 28.76, it becomes 49.41 in the first cycle, 67.53 in the second cycle, and 91.79 in the third cycle..

Curriculum of 2013 requires students to be able to think critically. This critical thinking ability can be trained by using questions that have indicators of critical thinking, besides those questions must also have cognitive levels C4 (analyze), C5 (evaluate), and C6 (synthesize). Padang Public Middle School 2 has implemented 2013 Curriculum in learning, but students' critical thinking skills are unknown. This research is a descriptive research. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The subject of the study consisted of 48 students of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The data obtained in this study was obtained through test techniques. The test used is a description test. The test instruments used will be validated and analyzed first. Analysis of this instrument includes the level of difficulty, differentiation and reliability. Test instruments were tested before being used. This study produces data that the level of critical thinking skills of seventh grade students in Padang State Middle School is still in non-critical qualifications with a percentage average value of 48.53%. Indicators with the highest average percentage to the lowest, namely; the inference indicator obtained a score of 69.96% with quite critical qualifications; the indicator gives a basic statement obtained a value of 60.62% with less critical qualifications; the indicator estimates that a value of 53.12% is obtained with non-critical qualifications; the indicator gives an advanced statement obtained a value of 44.39% with non-critical qualifications, and; basic indicators of decision making obtained a value of 14.58% with non-critical qualifications. Keywords: Critical Thinking, Environmental Pollution, Descriptif

Telah dilaksanakan penelitian tentang “Penerapan pendekatan STM (Sains Teknologi Masyarakat) pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan sikap peduli lingkungan di SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh”. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan yang dibelajarkan dengan pendekatan STM dan tanpa STM. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh, berjumlah 80 siswa yang berasal dari 3 kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 2 kelas yang ditentukan secara random sampling terdiri dari kelas eksperimen (dengan pendekatan STM) dan kelas kontrol (tanpa pendekatan STM). Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes hasil belajar, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung hasil belajar = 8,62, thitung kemampuan berpikir kritis = 11,15, dan thitung Karena harga thitung > ttabel maka Ha diterima dan harga thitung < ttabelmaka Ha ditolak artinya ada perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan pembelajaran STM dan tanpa pendekatan STM pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan STM, dan Pencemaran Lingkungan A research entitled, "The application of the STM approach (Science Technology Society) on the concept of environmental pollution to improve learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, and attitudes of environmental care in SMA 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh " has been conducted. The purposes of this study were to find out differences in students’ learning outcomes and critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material by using STM approach. This research used quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was all of students class X of SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh. There were 80 students from three classes. The samples were chosen randomly that consisted of two classes namely experimental class and control class. The instruments used were test for learning outcome and test for critical thinking skills. The data then analyzed by using t-test. The results of t-test for learning outcomes was 8.62, meanwhile, t-test of critical thinking skills was 11.15. Since t-count > t-table, thus Ha is accepted. If t-count < t- table then, Ha is rejected. It means there were some differences on students’ learning outcome and critical thinking skills after learning environmental pollution material by using STM approach and without using it. This study aims to find how students' critical thinking skills after learning to use generative learning models in science learning material on global warming. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a population of 2 classes taken from class VII SMP in one of the cities of Sukabumi. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used in this study is a multiple-choice test of 15 items, each of which has been declared valid and reliable. Based on the data requirements test, it is known that the results of the research data are normally distributed and the two classes have the same variance (homogeneous). From the data analysis, it is known that the average value of the posttest of the experimental class students with the generative learning model is 84.50 and the average value of the posttest of the control class students without using the generative learning model is 62.19. There is a significant difference in student learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the Z-test obtained by Zcount> Ztable (3.72 > 1.96) so this study rejects H0 and accepts H1. Thus, it can be concluded that there are effects of learning outcomes on the critical thinking skills of students who take part in learning by using generative learning models on global warming material.

Lack of critical thinking skills in students is a problem faced in thematic learning at <em>SD Negeri 2 Kedungrejo. </em>Therefore, it had an impact on low learning outcomes. From this problem, this study aims to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes through discovery learning model. Classroom Action Research (PTK) was used in this study. While the data collection instruments included observation sheets, test questions, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used a comparative descriptive technique. The subjects of this study were 22 4<sup>th</sup> grade students of <em>SD Negeri 2 Kedungrejo.</em> The results of this study indicated an improvement of critical thinking skills and students’ learning outcomes. This can be proven by the average value of students' critical thinking skills in cycle I of 54.67% and increased again in cycle II by 69.84%. Whereas for students’ learning outcomes, in cycle I showed students’ average score of 70. Moreover, it increased by an average value of 80 in cycle II. To sum up, these results showed that applying discovery learning model in the online learning process were able to improve students’ critical thinking skills and learning outcomes.

This study is motivated by the low critical thinking skills and learning outcomes possessed by the students of VII grade of SMPN 14 Kendari. This study aims to determine the enhancement in critical thinking skills and learning outcomes on the subject Matter of Heat and Its Transfer. The population of this study were all students of VII grade of SMPN 14 Kendari who were registered in the odd semester in 2019/2020 school year, with total 204 students. The sample of this research was group VII3 with total 41 students as the experimental group and group VII4 with total 41 students as the control group who were taken by using random sampling techniques. The research data were analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Research results show: 1) There is no significant difference between the pre-test average scores of students critical thinking skills in the experimental group and the control group; 2) There is no significant difference between the pre-test average scores of the experimental group students and the control group; 3) The post-test average score of students from critical thinking skills in the experimental group was significantly higher than in the control group; 4) The post-test average score of the experimental group students was significantly higher than in the control group; 5) The average value of N-gain critical thinking skills of students in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group; 6) ) The average value of N-gain learning outcomes of students in the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group.

This study aims to describe the effect of student confidence in mathematics on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental study, the sample in this study is X class students majoring in hotel accommodation as many as 30 students. Retrieval of data using questionnaire and test instruments. The results of this study indicate that the average student confidence in mathematics is 58.06 with a standard deviation of 3.65. While the ability to think critically and student learning outcomes obtained an average of 56.94 with a standard deviation of 9.63. The influence of students' trust in mathematics on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes have a positive effect shown by F arithmetic (4,485) ≥ F table (4.18) or the significance number in ANOVA 0.043 ≤ 0.05. The magnitude of the effect of students' trust in mathematics on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes of 13.4%. The regression equation obtained by Y ̂ = 0.866 + 0.966X + ϵ. This means that if the value of students' trust in mathematics is 1 unit, the value of the predicted variable will increase by 0.966. The higher the student's confidence in mathematics, the ability to think critically and student learning outcomes will also increase.

The purpose of this study is to determie the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on learning outcomes through critical thinking. This research is quasi experimental with posttest only control group design. Analysis of data using Two Way Anova. The result of this research shows that (1) There is a difference between students who are taught by using teaching model PBL and students who are not taught by using teaching model PBL. (2) There is a difference in learning outcomes between high critical thinking skills with low critical thinking skills. <p>This study aims to determine the implementation of Double Critical Technology Society (DCTS) learning model on the critical thinking skills of 7<sup>th</sup> grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Suhaid. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with posttest only design. Samples were taken from 7<sup>th</sup> grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Suhaid in the first semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year which consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The research instruments used were a test to measure students' critical thinking skills after DCTS learning model was applied and a questionnaire to measure student responses after being given a DCTS learning model. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and independent sample t test. The results of data analysis with the independent sample t test showed that the significance value of students 'critical thinking skills was 0.00 less than 0.05 so there was an influence on the implementation of the DCTS learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The critical thinking skills of the experimental class students with an average value of 71.30 were better than the control class which had an average value of 50.23. The results of the assessment of the response questionnaire with an average of 83.25 showed an excellent response from students to the DCTS learning model.</p>

This research aims to describe the results of the validity, practicality of learning devices, and the effectiveness of the integrated learning tools of the POE model to help student  understanding of concept and famililiarize students with critical thinking skills. This research  isa research development that  adapting using a 4-D development model and data collection techniques using observations, questionnaires, and test. The trial was conducted in the 2019/2020 school year with a total of 20 research subjects. The results of the research that have been done prove that the POE model based learning process can be applied because it has good validity with an average value above 3.6, while for the evaluation of practicability it can be said to be weel proven in the implementation of learning which has an average  have value of 79,5%, and the effectiveness of the learning process can be agreed affective based on the learning achievement test related to understanding concept and critical thinking skills before only 45% of students who completed it and after participating in learning up to 100% of students who completed it resulted with a value of ≥75.
