Abstract:This study aims to investigate the psychological conditions of parents in assisting children in learning during the implementation of Study from Home (SFH) in Makassar City and Gowa Regency. This study used quantitative survey research. The samples were 159 parents who were selected by random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing closed, semi-closed, and open-ended questions distributed using Google forms. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that parents considered SFH as a moment to accompany and be closer with their children. The parents' perception of online learning was less effective (36.8%) for their children because of limited internet access (57.9%), many distractions from home (34%), and the parents did not understand the matter (17.6). The children’s complaints during SFH were: not being able to play and do homework in groups (37.1%), lot of tasks (homework) (32.1%), preferred taught by teachers directly (29.6%) and felt bored (29.6%). The parents perceived SFH as follows; feeling comfortable with family (62.9%), bored with routine (31.4%), increased workload (18.9%). However, the physical complaints were less because the parents’ role was powerful in accompanying the children during SFH. Moreover, the family harmony increased with this moment. This study recommends that parents continue the habits to assist children in learning.Abstrak:Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran kondisi psikologis orang tua saat mendampingi anak belajar selama Study from Home (SFH) di Kota Makassar dan Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis survey. Jumlah sampel yakni 159 orang tua yang terpilih secara random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kusioner yang berisi pertanyaan tertutup, semi tertutup dan pertanyaan terbuka yang disebarkan menggunakan google formulir. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SFH dimaknai oleh orang tua sebagai moment untuk mendampingi dan lebih dekat dengan anak. Orang tua merasakan metode daring kurang efektif (36,8%) bagi anaknya, sebab: akses internet yang terbatas (57,9%), banyak gangguan dirumah (34%), dan orangtua tidak memahami materi pelajaran anak (17,6). Keluhan yang dirasakan oleh anak selama SFH adalah: tidak bisa bermain dan kerja kelompok (37,1%), banyak tugas (32,1%), lebih suka guru yang ajar (29,6%), dan bosan (29,6%). Adapun orangtua memaknai SFHberupa; perasaan nyaman dengan keluarga (62,9%), bosan dengan rutinitas (31,4%), beban kerja bertambah (18,9%). Namun demikian, keluhan fisik tidak terlalu dirasakannya karena peran orangtua sangat kuat dalam mendampingi keluarga selama SFH, bahkan merasa bahwa dengan moment ini keharmonisan keluarga menjadi meningkat. Oleh karena itu direkomendasikan bagi orangtua untuk meneruskan kebiasaan yang sudah terbentuk yakni mendampingi anak belajar.

This paper presents findings from a quantitative, survey research study that investigated the prevalence of mathematics anxiety (MA) in two Grade 7 cohorts and how students’ MA compared by gender. The research sample consisted of 467 Grade 7 students (276 females and 186 males) from two high schools in Jamaica. The data were collected using the Modified Abbreviated Math Anxiety Scale (mAMAS) and analyzed using descriptive statistics and a Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that students experienced a range of MA (Low, Slight, Moderate, and High). Most students experienced Slight MA and 7.5% of the students reported High MA. Another key finding was that the MA distributions for males and females were not statistically significant. Considering the relatively high percentage of students who reported high MA, additional research involving more schools relating to prevalence of MA is warranted.


In this research paper the authors have studied the perception of children towards advertisement and its influence on purchase decisions. The authors visited different schools in Visakhapatnam and checked the responses of children on time spend on TV in weekdays and weekends. Random sampling technique was used to select children from different schools. A total of 400 questionnaires were circulated, and 383 questionnaires were validated. The data collected was analysed through descriptive statistics, Weighted Average Ranking Method and ANOVA to test the hypotheses. The tests support the hypotheses that the perception towards advertisement among children plays a key role in influencing the family purchase decisions. The findings in the research will enable marketing teams in understanding how the thought process takes place in the minds of these young consumers. This will help marketers create content for their advertisements.

This research was motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which changed the order of life, including in the world of education. Online learning is a solution so that learning continues even with all its advantages and disadvantages. However, it needs adjustments both in terms of lecturers and students in its implementation. In the learning process, the main things that must exist include: teaching and learning process, competence of lecturers and facilities and infrastructure. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' perceptions of online learning in the Critical and Creative Reading course at UMMY Solok. This type of research is survey research. The data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire, the questionnaire used is a closed questionnaire type in the form of a rating scale, namely a questionnaire that has available answers, then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this study explain that the learning process is categorized as good, lecturer competence is in good category, and facilities and infrastructure are in sufficient category. From the results, it can be concluded that in online learning the teaching and learning process has been going well and the competence of lecturers in providing learning is also good even though the facilities and infrastructure are still lacking. Improvements are needed not only in terms of students and lecturers but also the campus.

This current study examines the economics of yam marketing in Bosso local government area of Niger State Nigeria, to this end, statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, marketing margin model, and regression analysis procedures was utilized as estimation techniques. The study relies on random sampling technique of selected 80 yam marketers. The motivation for this study, rest on the dominance of yam marketing operation in the study area as well as the need to chart a better and more efficient system of agricultural marketing for yam marketers in the sampled area. The empirical result reveals that an overwhelming majority (95.1%) of the marketers were 21-50 years of age with 6 years and above of marketing experience dominating (90%). However, most of the yam marketers started the business with capital base of N1,000- N20,000, it was also discovered was that majority (58.8%) of the marketers were female and within their active age with mean age of 35 years which goes to show that female can contribute to the responsibility of the family. The study also seeks to explore marketer’s preference for source of funding either from the formal institutions such as (Banks and Co-operatives) or the informal institutions (from friends or relatives) which is key in the effective and efficient in yam marketing. Finally, the study is set out to find out potential constraints to the attainment of the full gains of yam marketing in the study area and offer workable and visible remedy.

Objective: to evaluate the longitudinality attribute in childcare provided through the Family Health Strategy. Method: quantitative survey performed with 344 caregivers of children below 10 years old, registered in the family health strategy of Distrito Sanitario III in João Pessoa, Paraiba. Data were collected from July to December, 2012, from the Brazil PCATool child version form and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: among the aspects evaluated, it is highlighted that 89.5% of caregivers said they were consulted by the same professionals, and 81.9% felt good talking to the professional. The average score for the longitudinality component was satisfactory, with a 6.6 value. Conclusion: the health facilities assessed are guided towards the longitudinality attribute, however, the target mean score was exactly the cutoff value, implying the need for a thoughtful look at the improvement of the attribute in the care of children under ten years.

  Penempatan peran yang baik bagi Family Caregiver sangatlah membantu lansia dalam meningkatkah qualitas hidupnya, meningkatkan motivasi dalam menjalankan hidup Penelitian ini bertujuan Mengetahui hubungan peran Family Caregiver dalam pemenuhan qualitas hidup bagi lansia di Kelurahan Langenharjo Kabupaten Kendal. DesainPenelitianDeskriptifKorelasional menggunakan pendekatan Krosectional,tehnikSamplingStratified Simple Random Sampling dengan karakteristik heterogen, dari populasi mempunyai hak yang sama untuk diseleksi sebagai sampel teknik undianPengambilan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Uji statistik Chi-square, dengan taraf signifikasi 5%jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini 70 sampel pada Family Caregiver dari 213 populasi yang ada. Hasil penelitian dari 70 responden didapatkan Peran Family Caregiver tidak baik dengan qualitas hidup tidak baik 33 (47,1%), sedangkan Peran Family Caregiver kurang baik dengan qualitas hidup lansia baik 3 (4,3%). Untuk distribusi Peran Family Caregiver kurang baik dengan qualitas hidup lansia tidak baik sebanyak 6 responden (8,6%) sedangkan untuk distribusi Peran Family Caregiver kurang baik dengan qualitas hidup lansia baik sebanyak 23 responden (32,9%). Terakhir, untuk distribusi Peran Family Caregiver baik dengan qualitas hidup lansia tidak baik didapatkan hasil 2 responden (2, 9%) sedangkan untuk distribusi Peran Family Caregiver baik dengan qualitas hidup lansia baik didapatkan hasil 3 responden (4,3%)Menunjukkan nilai ρ value 0,001 (ρ < 0,05) berarti ada hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan lansia dalam keikutsertaan posyandu lansia. Disarankan kepada semua Family Cregiver lansia untuk mampu memahami pentingnya perhatian, dukungan bagi lansia dalammeningkatkan qualitas hidup yang lebih baik bagi lansia.   Kata kunci : Peran family caregiver, qualitas hidup, lansia.   ABSTRACT Placement of a good role for Family Caregiver is very helpful for the elderly to improve their quality of life, increase motivation in living life Research Objective: To know the relationship between the role of Family Caregiver in fulfilling quality of life for the elderly in Langenharjo Village, Kendal Regency. Descriptive Correlational Research Design uses a cross sectional approach, Sampling Stratified Simple Random Sampling technique with heterogeneous characteristics, from the population has the same right to be selected as a sample lottery technique Retrieving data using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Test Chi-square statistics, with a significance level of 5% the number of samples in this study 70 samples on the Family Caregiver from 213 populations. Results of the Study Of 70 respondents found the role of Family Caregiver was not good with poor quality of life 33 (47.1%) , while the role of the Family Caregiver is not good with the quality of life of a good elderly 3 (4.3%). For the distribution of the role of Family Caregiver is not good with the quality of life of the poor family as many as 6 respondents (8.6%) while for the distribution of the Role of Family Caregiver is not good with the quality of life of good elderly as many as 23 respondents (32.9%). Finally, the distribution of the Role of Family Caregiver with good quality of life for the poor is obtained by 2 respondents (2, 9%), while the distribution of the Role of Family Caregiver with good quality of life for the elderly is obtained by 3 respondents (4.3%). 0.001 (ρ <0.05) means that there is a relationship between family support and the compliance of the elderly in the participation of the elderly posyandu. The aim of this research is; 1) investigating the level of online learning satisfaction among students during COVID 19; 2) analyzing the influence of differences in gender, years of study, major in determining online learning satisfaction among students during COVID 19; 3) to analyze the relationship between online learning satisfaction and student academic achievement during COVID 19. The population was 656 students at STKIP Singkawang, and then a sample of 357 students (87 males and 270 females) was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The instrument in this study was adapted from Aman's Satisfaction instrument, which was then used to collect research data. Data analysis using SPSS with descriptive statistical techniques, MANOVA, and correlation. The results showed that online learning satisfaction was at a high level, meaning that students were satisfied with the online learning that had been implemented. The major differences have a significant effect on determining online learning satisfaction. Intercorrelation shows that there is a significant relationship on each indicator of online learning satisfaction with academic achievement, meaning that the higher the satisfaction felt by students in online learning, the student's academic achievement will increase.

Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran daring berbantuan laboratorium virtual terhadap minat belajar fisika peserta didik dan mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran daring berbantuan laboratorium virtual terhadap hasil belajar kognitif fisika peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen one group pretest posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 yang berjumlah 33 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar kognitif dan angket minat belajar peserta didik. Hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pembelajaran daring berbantuan laboratorium virtual terhadap minat belajar peserta didik dengan nilai sig (2-tailed) lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,0063 < 0,05) dan ada pengaruh pembelajaran daring berbantuan laboratorium virtual terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik dengan nilai sig (2-tailed)  lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) Abstract: This article aims to determine the influence of online learning with virtual labs on the learning interest of students ' physics and to know the influence of online learning with virtual labs on cognitive learning outcomes of student physics. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the experimental design of one group Pretests posttest. This research sample is a student of class X MIPA 1 which amounted 33 people determined with simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study are cognitive learning results test and Angket learning interest learners. Data analysis results can be concluded that there is a virtual lab-assisted online learning influence to the learning interest of learners with a value of sig (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05 (0.0063 < 0.05) and there is a virtual lab-assisted online learning influence to the outcome of the students ' cognitive learning with a sig (2-tailed) value smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05).

The polarization of postures in conflicts among parents and adolescents involve a threat for family harmony. Skills for argumentation and perspective taking are required to enable the achievement of satisfactory agreements during the processes of negotiation. The purpose of this paper has been to analyze the skills of parents and adolescents to adopt other perspectives when discussing a conflict by means of observational methodology. The study was carried out with 29 families (constituted by father, mother and an adolescent son or daughter) who were recorded while they argued about a real conflict. Frequency and duration of five levels of perspective-taking were registered (Myself; Reasoned myself; the other like an obstacle; the other adding to me; and us) in the discourse of the family, and also in the different members of the triad, considering their interrelations. The results were showing a moderated level of perspective-taking in family discussions, predominating the levels Reasoned myself, focused on explaining own perspective, and The other like an obstacle, focused on reasons to contest the perspective of the other. In general parents showed more perspective-taking. Particularly the mothers exhibited more sensitivity with her adolescent son or daughter, providing higher levels of perspective-taking and argumentation.

The objective of the present study is to investigate the relationship between managers’ professionalism and (technical, human, and perceptual) skills in managers of Iran Poly Akril Company. The research is an applied one in terms of objectives, and a descriptive-correlational in terms of method. The population includes all experts working in the company in 2012 as 240 individuals among who 144 participants were selected using the stratified random sampling method proportionate to the population size as the sample size. The data collection instruments were two researcher-made questionnaires of Managers’ skills containing 22 items and with the reliability coefficient as 0.96, and Professionalism containing 28 items and the reliability coefficient as 0.95. Their validity was investigated and confirmed by professors and experts of management. Analyzing data was conducted at the two level of descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, SD, and presentation of tables and charts) and inferential statistics (one sample t-test, correlation coefficient, regression coefficient, ANOVA, and F-test).
