Abstract China's tourism industry developed rapidly in the late 1990s, and its direct result is the continuous and rapid growth of tourism operating income. However, since 2010, China's tourism development has been slow and regional tourism development has been uneven. Even in different years in the same area, the tourism operating income shows great differences. How to select the key factor from many factors, as there is still no recognised method in the theoretical circle. This article combines the theories of econometrics, differential calculus, statistics and other related fields. Through in-depth basic research, the data required for the research is determined, and such data are substituted into the self-constructed econometric differential statistical model. Effective analysis of empirical objects is realised. At the same time, the article uses tourism operating income as an indicator and uses the analysis of variance method to calculate the average coefficient of variation of the same region in different years and different regions in the same year, analyses the trends and characteristics of China's tourism in the temporal and spatial structure, and proposes corresponding results on this basis.

Research and practice show that special-purpose programmes designed to promote tourism development at a regional level are generally aimed at improving industry and infrastructure in a targeted region. These tasks, as well as the issues of hotel, public catering and other service quality enhancement, are focal for developers of strategies and targeted programmes of regional tourism development. Besides tourist industry development, policy papers address marketing issues, such as, for example, the development, positioning and promotion of the tourist product. However, the issues concerning the tourist service quality and the hospitable atmosphere in the environment external to a tourism enterprise receive little attention. Experience shows that tourists value not only the service quality as provided by tourist-oriented enterprises but also the friendly and welcoming attitude of the local people, which, combined, serve to create a unique atmosphere of general hospitality. UNWTO regards the ethics of tourism development as important and indispensable. With this in mind, the authors of the article raise the problem of a hospitality standards complex development which, applied at a regional level, should include provisions to be implemented by the tourism industry and infrastructure participants to improve service. The authors hold that a standards complex will ensure a synergetic approach to the creation of a unique atmosphere of hospitality in a region, and assert that the content of the standards be based on the provisions of international legal acts and the legal and regulatory framework in effect in a particular region. A model of the standards is demonstrated in the context of the Yaroslavl region.

As an important component of modern service industry, tourism is regarded as a "green" driver to regional economic growth and industrial upgrading. Applying the "quasi-natural experiment" advocated by the “The Belt and Road” Initiative, this paper, based on the method of DID, as-sessed the influence of this initiative on regional tourism development by analyzing panel data collected from 286 prefecture-level cities in China over the period of 2007-2018. It is found that the "The Belt and Road" initiative has stimulated market dynamics and promoted tourism de-velopment in the regions along the route, and has significantly improved indicators such as per capita domestic and inbound tourism revenue and per capita domestic and inbound tourist re-ceipt. Also, the degree of contribution of domestic tourists to the tourism economy of the re-gions where the policy has been implemented is stronger than that of inbound tourists. In sum, the results of this paper not only confirm that the “The Belt and Road” Initiative has significantly contributed to the high-quality tourism development of Chinese provinces along the routes, but also provide important policy enlightenment for the upgrading of regional tourism industry and regional economic balance.

The degree of accessibility significantly influences regional tourism flow and the performance of the global tourism industry. However, the tourism industry itself comprises many sectors, and accessibility measurements may not comprehensively incorporate the simultaneous accessibility of corresponding destinations. Moreover, perspectives are still lacking in the analysis of tourism origin countries. Therefore, this study provides a new approach based on network data envelopment analysis and social network analysis to identify potential opportunities among origin countries for accessibility to a given tourism destination. This study focuses on Taiwan as a tourism destination and measures the efficiency of 32 of its acknowledged tourism origin countries. The main finding is that the involvement of tourism intermediaries (such as tour operators and travel agents) is a key factor influencing most tourism origin countries’ performance. However, tourists make the largest contribution to shared output (i.e., tourism expenditures) for most tourism origin countries. Given the expanding knowledge of tourism management, understanding the accessibility of a destination can help destination managers and governments identify tourism opportunities and execute appropriate strategies.
