Abstract: This study aims to find out how much influence the contextual teaching and learning approach can improve the writing skills of letters grade IV students SDN 04 Nanga Pinoh. The type of research is Classroom Action Research designed by using cycle model by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Where in the implementation of this PTK action consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementation of action, observation and reflection, with the aim to compare the value before the action and after the action. Technique of data collecting is done by observation observation and result of student learning test. The subjects of the study were the fourth grade students of SDN 04 Nanga Pinoh, which amounted to 27 people. There was an increase of learning achievement by using Contextual Teaching & Learning approach of personal letter writing writing to fourth grade students of SDN 04 Nanga Pinoh. This is evident in the increase in the value of the initial test of 27 students by 64 with 63% of students experiencing completeness. In cycle I the average value obtained by 80 then in cycle II the average value obtained increased by 81 with 92% of students experiencing completeness in learning. Based on these data it can be seen that the contextual teaching and learning approach can improve the writing skill of grade 4 students of SDN 04 Nanga Pinoh.Keywords: Contextual Teaching & Learning Approach, Writing Skills

This research was motivated by the learning outcomes of students' natural sciences that were still low. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes with the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning approach. This research is a classroom action research consisting of II cycles with research subjects in class VI of 007 Kampung Baru State Primary School Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The results showed that, judging from the basic score, the lowest value of students was 50 while the highest score of students was 85 with an average grade of 62.78 with an incomplete category. in the first cycle the lowest value of students was 65 while the highest value of students was 90 with an average grade of 74 with a complete category. For learning outcomes in cycle II, the lowest value of students is 75 while the highest value of students is 100 with the average value of class 84.47 with complete categories. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning learning approach assisted by media images can improve the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences students of class VI 007 Public Primary School Kampung Baru, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency.

This article will describe learning to write auotobiografi text using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The method used in the research, namely the experiment with the design of One-Group Pretest-Postest. Technique of collecting data in the form of test, observation, and questionnaire. The population in the study of students of class XI SMK Nurul Islam Cianjur, with a sample of 22 students. From the results of the study known the average value of the initial test 60.45 and the average value of the final test 80.91. The result of calculation with t-test known value that is 11,41 and value for t.s 0,05 value t = 1,72 and for t.s 0,01 value t = 2.51. Thus, there is a significant difference between students' ability in learning to write autobiographic text before and after using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The difference seen in the final test results is higher than the initial test results. The use of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach also get positive response for students, this can be proved by the percentage of student answers for positive response is greater than negative response, that is 30% of students who choose strongly agree (SS)> 4% of students who choose strongly disagree (STS).Keywords: autobiographic text, contextual

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk menerapkan  strategi pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis cerpen bagi siswa. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di kelas XI IPS-2 SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan. Cara penelitian dilakukan dalam dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri dari siklus pertama tiga kali pertemuan dan siklus kedua tiga kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan (planning), tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observation), dan refleksi (reflecting). Jumlah partisipan dalam pelaksanaan siklus masing-masing 40 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar menulis cerpen siklus I dan siklus II, observasi langsung terhadap aktivitas siswa dalam belajar berkelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran pada siklus I belum memcapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dengan perolehan  nilai rata-rata subjek penelitian 61.00 menurut penilai 1 dan 59.51 menurut penilai 2. Pembelajaran pada siklus II, nilai pembelajaran sudah berhasil memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dengan nilai rata-rata subjek penelitian mencapai 78.20 menurut penilai 1 dan 79.65 menurut penilai 2. Aktivitas siswa dalam belajar kelompok  pada siklus I masih rendah karena siswa belum terbiasa melakukan kegiatan berkelompok, tetapi pada siklus II mulai meningkat.Kata Kunci: ctl, hasil belajar, menulis cerpen Abstract: This is an action research which is aimed to implement The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategies that can improve students’ learning achievement in writing short stories. The research was conducted at XI grade IPS-2, SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan. The research was done in two cycles in which each cycle consists of three meetings. Each cycle consists of stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The number of the participants in each cycle was 40 students.  The data were collected by using the students’ achievements in writing short stories at cycle I and II and also direct observation of students’ activities in group learning. The results of the research showed that the students’ achievements at cycle I have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria with the acquisition of the average value is 61.00 point based on assessor 1 and 59.51 based on assessor 2. But  at cycle II, the average value of students’ achievements already successfully reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria with the average value of research subjects reached 78.20 based on assessor 1 and 79.65 based on assessor 2. Students’ activities in group learning at cycle I was still low because most of the students were not familiar at doing group activities but they began to increase at cycle 2. The objectives of the study are (1) To find out the vocabulary mastery of the fourth grade students of SD 2 Papringan using animal pictures, (2) To know the problem faced by the fourth grade students of SD 2 Papringan in studying vocabulary using animal pictures, and (3) To know the possible solutions to overcome the problems are faced by the fourth grade students of SD 2 Papringan in studying vocabulary using animal picture. The subjects are all the fourth grade students of SD 2 Papringan. The total number of the students are 28 students. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The research instruments used test and questionaire. The result of the result shows that (1) Students’ vocabulary using animal pictures as a teaching aid is appropiate in teaching vocabulary. It is proven of the test result that 11 (39%) students who got A (Outstanding), 9 (23%) students who got B (Above average), 8 (29%) students who got C (Average), 0 (0%) student who got D (Below average), and 0 (0%) student who got E (Insufficient). It indicates that most of the students are able to do the test because the mean of the students’ score is 81, 57. (2) In teaching learning process there were some problems faced by students are; the students of the fourth grade do not like learning English, they do not know about simple English vocabulary, the students of the fourth grade do not know the English animal names, the students of the fourth grade feel difficult in learning vocabulary without using picture, and the students of the fourth grade do not like to be taught vocabulary, especially animal without pictures. (3) For possible solutions to overcome the problems faced by the students are; the teacher has to select the interesting media to the students in learning English in order to make the students feel enjoy in studying, the teacher should give more information about English animal names, the teacher has to use picture as the teaching aid in order to avoid difficulties in teaching and learning vocabulary, and the teacher has to use picture as a teaching aid to attract the students’ interest in learning vocabulary in particular about animal pictures, so they do not feel bored.

The purpose of this research is for helping students to improve their academic writing skills by changing the existing strategies which were considered ineffective at solving this kind of problem. This research was about how to improve student’s academic writing skills through contextual teaching and learning. The clientele of this research was the students of Civil Engineering Department of Bosowa University of Makassar. To gain the final result in this research there are three periods were needed. The result for the first period is only 26.67% or only 8 from 30 students could pass the standard qualifying. The students which passed the standard qualifying becomes 80% from 30 students in next period and in the final period the result was already succeeded, all of the students could pass the standard qualifying. Those experiments prove that this research showed that contextual teaching and learning effects can be used in helping students improve their academic writing skills. This research recommends the lecturer to conduct intensive training in the process of planning to write, the evaluation of sources of references, and the development of writing based on academic writing strategy.

This study aims to improve student achievement in Aqeedah Akhlak through the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. This research is a class action research carried out in two cycles in the first cycle conducted 2 meetings while in the second cycle conducted 1 meeting. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Data on student learning pest obtained through student test results at the end of cycle I and cycle II, the results of learning activities are seen by racing on the guidelines for student activity observation sheets and teacher activities. The indicator of the success of this study is to improve student learning achievement in the subject of aqidah moral through the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. Seen at an average value of 86.31 with a classical completeness percentage of 89.43%. The application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can improve student achievement in class III MI Assa'adah Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency Academic Year 2017/2018.   [Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkann prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Aqidah Akhlak melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning(CTL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang di laksanakan dalam dua siklus pada siklus I dilakukan 2 pertemuan sedangkan pada siklus II dilakukan 1 pertemuan. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data pestasi belajar siswa di peroleh melalui hasil tes siswa pada akhir siklus I dan siklus II, hasil aktivitas kegiatan pembelajaran dilihat dengan berpacu pada pedoman lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini yaitu meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran aqidah akhlak melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). This study aimed to analyze the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by booklets on the students’ creative thinking ability at grade IV elementary school. The choice of booklet media CTL model was considered appropriate for SDA and poetry materials on the theme of Cita-Citaku. Students could relate the materials to their life environment through CTL model and booklet media; this can be done in groups or individually. This study was quantitative experimental research with nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The samples in this study were fourth grade students of SDN 1 Bulungcangkring as the experimental class and fourth grade students of SDN 3 Bulungcangkring as the control class. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that (1) the thinking ability of students taught with CTL model assisted by booklet was better than those taught by the lecture model; (2) the average creative thinking ability of students taught with the CTL learning model was more than 70 (KKM). It could be concluded that there was an effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by booklets on the students’ creative thinking abilities at grade IV elementary school.

The problem in the classroom is the low learning outcomes of students social studies learning. Where to solve this problem researchers apply approach with image media so that it is expected to improve results learning fourth grade students of SD Sejahtera Way Kandis in social studies learning. Method The research used is classroom action research with a groove action planning, action, observation and reflection. Subject The research was the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Palembang. The material taught in the first cycle is various ethnic groups, and the second cycle is cultural diversity. Data collection was carried out in each cycle. The data collected in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data. Data collected in three ways, namely tests, observations, interviews. The results obtained on cycle I, namely from 20 students 14 students experienced completeness of learning with the percentage of classical completeness 70% and the percentage of classical absorption 77.75%, This result is still in the sufficient category so that there are still shortcomings that must be fixed. The results obtained in cycle II experienced increase, all students experience learning completeness, with a percentage 100% classical complete and 86% classical absorption. Average value teacher activity in cycle I is still in good category and cycle II is very good, and the average value of student activity in cycle I is sufficient and cycle II is located in either category. Based on predetermined indicators, it can be concluded that by using a group learning model student mastery of the material continues to increase so that it has an impact on increase in social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SDN 2 Palembang.

<p class="Abstract"><strong><em>Abstract.</em></strong><em> This study aims to improve the skills of writing interview reports through Think Talk Write Learning Model for fourth grade of SD N Serengan II No. 256 Surakarta Academic year 2018/2019. The technique of collecting data uses observation, tests, interviews and documentation. Test validity of data using content validity and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique used an interactive model consisting of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.This study is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were teachers and students, which 31 students. The results showed that the pre-action class average value of 55.65 increased to 74.35 in first cycle, increasing again to 84.44 in second cycle. The number of students in pre-action who achieved KKM was 3 students (9.68%), in the second cycle as many as 20 students (64.52%), and experienced an increase again to as many as 26 students (82.26%) in the cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: through the Think Talk Write learning model can improve the skills of writing interview reports to fourth grade students of SD N Serengan II No. 256 Surakarta Academic Year 2018/2019.</em></p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>Think Talk Write learning model, writing skills, Skills for writing report on interview results, Elementary School</em>

This study aims to determine the effect of the CTL learning model assisted by the Bima folklore on the speaking skills of the fourth grade students at Cluster 1 of Wawo District. The results of this study are expected to be theoretically and practically useful. This study was an experimental research with a quasi experimental design type nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was all fourth grade students of Elementary School at cluster I of Wawo District academic year 2020/2021 with 86 students in total, consisting of SDN 2 Maria, SDN Inpres Ntori, SDN 3 Maria, and SDN Inpres Kombo. The sampling technique of this research was cluster random sampling type of probability sampling with grade 4 of SDN 3 Maria and SDN Inpres Kombo students as the sample. The data collection method in this study was a test of students' speaking skill used an assessment rubric (pretest-posttest). Data analysis was carried out by using the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test used the polled variance of t-test formula. Hypothesis test at 5% significant level produced tcount = 4.80 while ttable = 1.687, in other words tcount> ttable. Based on the test criteria, if t_count> t_table, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the CTL learning model assisted with the Bima folklore on the speaking skills of the fourth grade students at cluster I Wawo District in the academic year 2020/2021. Thus it can be stated that the learning model of Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) with the help of the Bima folklore can be applied in grade IV elementary school students to improve speaking skills.
