Mystic is one part that is portrayed and narrated by characters related to the occult or things that do not make sense. One of them is mysticism which is told in the novel Gentayangan Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu by Intan Paramaditha. Mystical events that begin with red shoes for your character that make each trip produce a mysterious story and always related to another trip. The purpose of this study was to describe the mystical element in the novel Gentayangan Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu by Intan Paramaditha. This type of research is qualitative research with the research method is descriptive analysis. The stages of this research are carried out by: (1) reading and understanding the novel Gentayangan Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu by Intan Paramaditha as a whole; (2) the incomparable adventure found in the Gentayangan Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu; (3) classifying data according to the inventory data format; and (4) entering data in the format of data inventory. After conducting research on the novel Gentayangan Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu by Intan Paramaditha obtained the following results: (1) not mystical which produces things that are collected (2) not mystical resulting in causes that are not ratios (3) not mystical. Third, it is not a mystical event or an extraordinary thing that cannot be accepted by human common sense contained in the novel Gentayangan Gentayangan Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu by Intan Paramaditha.

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif sosiologi sastra dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi unsur lokalitas Benuaq Kalimantan dalam novel Api Awan Asap karya Korrie Layun Rampan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur lokalitas Benuaq Kalimantan yang teridentifikasi dalam novel Api Awan Asap yaitu lokalitas pada sistem kemasyarakatan berupa musyawarah dan menganut sistem kepemimpinan yang disebut sebagai Petinggi Jepi; sistem kesenian berupa nyanyian dan menenun kain ulap doyo; sistem mata pencaharian dengan mengolah lahan perkebunan dan pertanian; serta lokalitas pada lokasi berupa rumah adat lou.KATA KUNCI: Benuaq; lokalitas; sosiologi sastra.>�BENUAQ KALIMANTAN LOCALITY IN THE NOVEL OF API AWAN ASAP BY KORRIE LAYUN RAMPAN�ABSTRACT: This research used the perspective of sociology of literature with the aims to identify elements of Benuaq locality in novel of Api Awan Asap by Korrie Layun Rampan. The type of this research was qualitative research used descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the element of Benuaq locality identified in the novel of Api awan Asap were locality in community system in the form of deliberation and embrace the leadership system called as Petinggi Jepi; art system in the form of singing and weaving of cloth of ulap doyo; livelihood systems by cultivating plantation and agricultural land; as well as locality at the location of custom house lou.KEYWORDS: Benuaq; locality; sociology of literature.

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pengaruh tahta tertinggi dan perlawanan kaum subaltern pada novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan teori postkolonialisme Gayatri Spivak. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini  mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data novel Arok Dedes  yang berkisah tentang kudeta di Tanah Jawa. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, kalimat, paragraf, yang terdapat dalam novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan teori poskolonial Ggayatri Spivak. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi atau pustaka. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisia deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian adalah pengaruh tahta tertinggi dan perlawanan kaum subaltern pada novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer.Kata kunci: Subaltern, poskolonial, pengaruh tahta, perlawananABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the influence of the highest throne and the resistance of the subalterns on the novel Arok Dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer by using the postcolonialism theory of Gayatri Spivak. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The approach in this study using a qualitative approach because in this study used Arok Dedes story novel as data sources  which is about a coup in Java. This research data is words, sentences, paragraphs, contained in Arok Dedes novel by Pramoedya Anan ta Toer by using postcolonial Ggayatri Spivak theory. Data collection techniques in this study used the method of documentation or literature . The data analysis technique of this study used descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study are the influence of the highest throne and the resistance of the subalterns on the novel Arok Dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Keywords: Subaltern, postcolonial, influence of throne, resistance

Character education is a form of cultivation of noble character in students. The aspect of 'social care' character is one of the most important of the eighteen character education in Indonesia, this is because the sense of sensitivity and help towards others in the environment around students begins to diminish. There are various kinds of media to succeed in internalizing character education, one of which is a novel. The novel Merindu Baginda Nabi by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy can be said to be a complete novel in instilling character in Indonesia. Therefore, researchers will explore how the value of social care character education in the novel Merindu Baginda Nabi. The research method used is qualitative descriptive qualitative research. The novel Merindu Baginda Nabi as a source of data in this study, in the form of dialogue and narrative stories about character education about social care. Based on the results of the analysis, seventeen data were found that were divided into four important parts, namely: giving help to others, caring for others, mutual respect, and sympathy.

The purpose of this research was to analyze ten covers of 2019 best-seller fantasy novels through multimodal. The research method used was qualitative research. The objects in this research were ten book covers of 2019 best-seller fantasy novels. The instruments used were documentation that aimed at obtaining data, including relevant books, study, activity reporting, relevant research data. Content analysis was used to obtain the data. This study used five phased cycles in analyzing the data; compiling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting, and concluding. The result of analyzing the novels is emphasized in two focuses, including representation and interactive function. Several novels have a narrative aspect, while others contain conceptual interpretation, which is part of a representative function. It was very challenging to interpret some implicit meaning of the symbols in some of the novels as it requires mythical knowledge. Therefore, it is expected that understanding the implicit meaning comprehensively will make readers easier to understand the story outline of the novel.

The data source used in this study is literature related to multiculturalism in Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions or verification.The research results point to multiculturalism as an approach and as a National Policy. As stated above, multiculturalism is an ideological way out of the problem of the decline in the forces of integration and awareness of nationalism of a nation as a result of changes at the global level. Hatred has a lot of negative impacts on the hated person and the hating one. The impacts appear due to the existence of the causes and the implementation of the hatred. The purpose of this study is to research the causes and the implementation of the antagonist’s hatred in Jeff Nathanson’s novel Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge. In this analysis, the antagonist, Captain Slazar, hates pirates very much especially the protagonist, Captain Jack Sparrow. His life’s goal is only to kill Jack in all kinds of ways. This research uses qualitative research method proposed by Gilgun (1992:22) who clarifies a research method that is more focused on understanding social phenomena from the perspective of participants by emphasizing on the complete picture rather than by detailing it into interrelated variables. This study focuses on the analysis or interpretation of written materials based on the context. In this case, the novel has to be well interpreted. Results establish the fact that hatred does not only harm the others, but also oneself. Besides, it will tell how bad the hatred affects oneself. This study also reveals how the antagonist releases the hatred to the protagonist by pursuing and trying to kill him.

This study aims to describe the socio-cultural values in the novel Proelium by Febrialdi R. The method used is qualitative research. The approach used in this research is the sociology of literature approach. data collection in this research is reading and taking notes. Then the results of this study can find the socio-cultural values contained in the novel Proelium by Febrialdi R.the socio-cultural values in question are polite, community condition, social interaction, and writing via social media. Socio-cultural values are the characters that Irham has when interacting in the community. Irham's habits in society create culture, one of which is courtesy. This research helps make readers aware that the socio-cultural values must be possessed by each individual to create positive habits of interacting in society.

Abstract: The industry or restaurant business in Tomohon City has a very rapid growth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the benefits of competency assessment for waiters to ensure the quality of their services while working. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis model. The research was conducted at 10 restaurants in Tomohon City. The results showed that as a reflection or image of the restaurant, it was judged by the visiting guests, which was determined by the competence of the waiter who worked, including the expertise of the waiter in serving customers directly. This is very crucial in giving a good impression or image and giving satisfaction to customers because they feel comfortable. This of course cannot be separated from a competency or knowledge of the profession in providing a table during the service. The results also show the need for competent waiters to have qualifications that are truly recognized in their fields which can be developed through trainings whose credibility is tested and recognized by the Professional Certification Board. Professional certification aims to provide recognition of competencies that have been obtained through learning, training, as well as work experience.

The data of this study were taken from an Indonesia novel entitled ‘Tambora’ by Agus Sumbogo (2015) as a research objective caused some factors. First, ‘Tambora’ novel telling us the beginning of Lesley journey to return the precious things of Tambora’s people. Second, ‘Tambora’ novel describe the story and phenomena that exist before Mount Tambora was erupted. Third, ‘Tambora’ novel related to the destruction of the third sultanate people that is located close around Mount Tambora caused by Dutch confront Devide et Impera. The writer have analyzed the problems in the novel, such as structures, history, and social aspect of the third sulatanate which exist in Tambora area. The theory used in this study was structural theory applied to analyze the characters, especially the element of characterization, plot, and setting. Moreover, this study also presented the history revealed before Mount Tambora was erupted. The writer also uses the sociology of literature theory taken from the book by Burhan Nurgiyantoro 2005. The method used in collecting the data was literature review method with continuation technique in form of note taking technique. Afterwards, the method used in this research is descriptive analysis to describe the result related to the data that have been analyzed. Characterization in this novel can be divided into two, major character and additional characters. The major character in ‘Tambora’ novel named Lesley and additional characters are Uma, Jeff, and Wayan. The plot can be divided into three, they were beginning, middle, and an end. The plot used in Tambora novel is mixing plot. Afterward, the setting is divided into three, place, time, and social of story. This study also illustrates the history of the eruption of Mount Tambora either in fact or fiction. Based on sociology of literature theory, there are found some aspcets revealed in the Tambora novel, that is good and bad moral aspects, political aspect Devide et Impera, economic aspects of Tambora people,  social aspect of the good and bad sultanates relations, and cultural aspect to do the tradition that almost extinguished.

This study aims to look at the ability of teachers to introduce ethnomatematics in early childhood in TK Kartika XIX-3 Cimahi City. This research is included in qualitative research. Early childhood research in TK Kartika XIX-3 Kota The research method used in this study is a qualitative method, by providing descriptive analysis of the focus of research that has been formulated, based on the facts of teacher learning actions in TK Kartika XIX-3 Cimahi. This research emphasizes the meaning of the act of teacher learning in introducing ethno-mathematics to early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine how the teacher's ability to introduce ethnomatematics at TK Kartika XIX-3 in Cimahi City. While the benefits of research are to help develop the theory, knowledge and practice of the ability of teachers to build ethnomatematics literacy. This study produced several findings related to the application of the teacher's ability to introduce ethnomatics in early childhood. Based on the results of the study it was found that in general ethnomatics before learning are no different from learning that is normally given on a daily basis. Furthermore, after the action is carried out, an overview of ethnomatic literacy is obtained showing that there are findings related to ethnomatatics given to learning at TK Kartika XIX-3 in Cimahi City, including teachers having been able to present learning with ethnomatic literacy content, thus giving an impact on ethnomatic ability child. The results showed that the teacher was able to introduce and improve the ethnomatic literacy of children in the classes he was in.
