Permasalahan kenakalan anak usia sekolah yang sering terjadi adalah bolos, melangar peraturan sekolah, merokok, tauran hingga bully. Hal ini disebabkan karena saat perkembangan konsep diri anak mengalami kerancuan identitas, hingga depersonalisasi. Untuk mencegah hal itu maka diperlukan suatu tindakan preventif, salah satunya dengan melakukan therapy supportif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Therapy Supportif terhadap Konsep Diri dan perkembangan anak, dengan metode quasi eksperimental pre-post test with control group dan menggunakan kuesioner konsep diri. Sampel berjumlah 80, 40 Kelompok Intervensi dan 40 kontrol, mengunakan tehnik random sampling. Hasil penilitian  didapatkan ada pengaruh yang bermakna pada Therapy supporti terhadap perkembangan dan konsep diri, denga nilai rerata variabel perkembangan sebelum diberikan Therapy supportif pada kelompok intervensi 72,78 atau 77,45% dan nilai rerata setelah dilakukan therapy supportif  83 atau 88,32% dari nilai tersebut terjadi peningkatan perkembangan sebesar 10,22 (10,87%) yang artinya Therappy Supportif  memiliki pengaruh bermakna terhadap perkembangan anak, Sedangkan untuk nilai variabel konsep diri sebelum dilakukan terapi suportif pada kelompok intervensi 68,28 atau 72,63%, Setelah dilakukan Therapy Supportif  didapatkan nilai rerata 83,87 atau 89,22%, dari nilai tersebut dapat dianalisis bahwa terjadi peningkatan, sebesar 15,59 atau 22,84% yang artinya Therappy Supportif  memiliki pengaruh bermakna terhadap konsep diri anak Kata kunci: terapi supportif, konsep diri, anak sekolah dasar THE EFFECT OF THERAPY SUPPORTIVE SELF-CONCEPT AGAINSTCHILDREN'S CONCEPT OF BASIC SCHOOL ABSTRACTThe problem of delinquency in school-age children that often occurs is truancy, violating school rules, smoking, mixing, and bullying. This is because when the child's self-concept development experiences confusion in identity, to depersonalization. To prevent that, we need a preventive action, one of them is by doing supportive therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Supportive Therapy on Self-Concept and child development, with a quasi-experimental method of pre-post test with control group and using a self-concept questionnaire. Samples amounted to 80, 40 intervention groups and 40 controls, using random sampling techniques. The results of the study, found that there is a significant relationship in supportive therapy to development and supportive therapy in self-concept, with the average value of the development variables before being given supportive therapy in the intervention group 72.78 or 77.45% and the mean value after supportive therapy 83 or 88.32% of the value there was an increase in development of 10.22 (10.87%) which means that Therappy Supportive has a significant influence on children's development, while for the value of self-concept variables before supportive therapy in the intervention group 68.28 or 72, 63%, after supportive therapy, the mean value is 83.87 or 89.22%. From this value, it can be analyzed that there is an increase of 15.59 or 22.84%, which means that therapeutic support has a significant influence on the child's self-concept Keywords: supportive therapy, self-concept, elementary school children

Peer-assisted learning (PAL) has been shown to help improve clinical skills. Nevertheless, the PAL method has not been able to provide sufficient training opportunities for participant students due to space and time constraints. The existence of technological developments in the field of education, a new opportunity for lecturers to answer the needs and create innovation using online Peer-assisted learning in supporting the learning process. The purpose of this research was to know difference of clinical skill value of student and learning motivation of student before and after the application of Online peer assisted learning method. The type of this research was quantitative with quasy experimental pre-test and post-test with control group design. The study was conducted in Nursing Study Department of STIKes Surya Global Yogyakarta with a 70 sample from second year students which randomly is devided into control and intervention group. The intervention group was given a peer-assisted learning (PAL) model with the help of video call technology in WhatsApp application. Control group with peer-assisted learning face to face model has ben done usualy. A checklist of clinical skills of thoracic examination and questioner of learning motivation was used as instrument. The result of this research was the mean value of the intervention group learning motivation was 100,6 while the mean value of the learning motivation of the control group was 95,02. The mean value of clinical skills in the pre-test control group of 82,45 and the mean post-test increased to of 87,41. The clinical skill delta value of the intervention group was 5,04 while the control group's delta value was 4,76. The conclusion was the OPAL method has been shown to increase learning motivation and the value of clinical skills of thoracic physical examination in nursing students

This research aimed to investigate the effect of the herbal medicine treatment on the hemoglobin levels in female students of Syekh Yusuf Academy of Midwivery (AKBID), Gowa Regency.The research used the experimental method with the pre-post test design. The sampels comprising 60 respondens were chosen using the total sampling technique. The total samples were divided into two group 30 respondents were in the intervention group and 30 respondents in the control group.The data were analyzed using Paired Sampel T-Test assisted by SPSS Program in order to look at the effect of the treatment with herbal medicine on the hemoglobin levels.The research results indicated that in the intervention group the mean level of Hb before the intervention was 10.19 gr/dl and it increased after the intervention to 11.4 gr/dl,while in the control group before the intervention the mean value of hemoglobin 10.4 gr/dl and after the intervention was 10.9 gr/dl thus,the research result indicated the correlation between herbal medicine and hemoglobin level in teenagers (p= 0,000). The purpose of the research was to investigatethe effect of activity-based games on the academic achievement of graduate-level pupils in social sciences.An experimental research design with a pre-and post-test control group was used in this study. As pre-test and post-test, MCQ achievement tests containing 70 items were used as research methods for data collecting. The initial stage in this initiative was to collect data on what inspires children to learn. Both groups took a pre-test, and the results were tallied.The project's second phase was to study the effects of variousactivities on academic achievement. Both groups were given an MCQ performance test. The T-test was used to analyze the data. The findings of this study demonstrated that, compared to the control group, mostpupils'marks improved in the experimental group. The mean value showedthat experimental group participants scored 18.77on the post-test, while control group students scored 16.21. According to a post-lesson poll, most students regarded activity-based games to be more engaging than lecture-based instruction.

The aim of this study was to know the effectiveness of the use of alphabet cards game as interesting tool to explain vocabularies and it make it easier to remember their meanings. This study belongs to the quasi experimental research and presents pre-test, post test and to investigate the effect of using alphabet cards game on vocabulary mastery of commercial business administration students. The participants were the students from commercial business administration students at the third semester (N=54) of State Polytechnic Bengkalis and divided into two groups. Both groups were taught vocabulary, however, the experimental group students who are exposed to alphabet cards game and the controlled group students who received conventional method. Pre-test and post-test were given to both experimental group students and controlled group students. The score of the vocabulary tests were compared through independent sample t-test. The mean value of pre-test of experimental class was 61.35, while the control class was 52.23. After learning using alphabet card games in experimental class the mean value obtained in post-test was 78.85, while in control class was 59.04.  The improved of learning outcomes can be seen from the level of significance was 0.000 and it was lower than t test 0.000<0.05.  It means that the hypothesis null is not accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the score of the students in learning vocabulary between the experimental group and control group was significantly different. The experimental group students who learned vocabulary using alphabet cards game had increased their vocabulary mastery.

Background: The incidence of burns in Indonesia progressively increases with the increase in its population and industries. From January to September 2000, 158 patients were treated in the burn unit of Dr Soetomo Hospital with a mortality rate reaching 5,8%. Burns have a direct effect in causing both local and systemic changes in the body, not occurring in other injuries. In severe burns, a hypermetabolic state can occur, which increases cardiac workload and causes muscle atrophy and other morbidities. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of propranolol on the hypermetabolic state in severely burned patients by measuring various clinical & laboratory parameters.Methods : This is an experimental study using pre and post test control group design with the objective of assessing the treatment outcome with oral propranolol given in 15 consecutive days for burn patients involving 25%- 60% TBSA. Measurements were taken three times, on day 0, 7 and 14.Results : Obtained 16 samples divided into 2 groups. In the treatment group, there was a significant decrease in CRP levels on days 0, 7 and 14 (p <0.05). The Mid Arm Circumference variable did not obtain a significant decreasing on days 0, 7 and 14. The albumin level studied showed a significant decreasing on day 0 & 7 days with a value of p = 0.045. From the comparison between the two groups, there were significant differences in CRP levels on days 0 & 14, with the mean value of the treatment group -5.12 + 2.88 and the mean value of the control group 2.86 + 7.37, and the value of p = 0.019.Conclusions: This study successfully proved that the administration of propranolol can overcome the effects of hypermetabolism which is characterized by decreasing in CRP levels.

<p>Merapi eruption in 2010 in Yogyakarta caused people losing their homes and triggering traumatic effect. Elderly is one of victims that vulnerable to psychological problem. The common psychological late respons due to disaster is insomnia. The impacts of insomnia are decrease the level of immunity, increase mortality and decrease quality of life, thus it needs to be solved. One of the solution is by listening murotal Al-Qur’an that will give relaxation effect. The study was aimed to know the effectiveness of listening murotal Al-Qur’an to the changing of elderly insomnia level in shelter Dongkelsari, Sleman, Yogyakarta.The design of study was a quasy experimental pre post test with control group. Technique of taking sample was probability sampling and it was found that there were 37 elderly who live in shelter Dongkelsari Sleman Yogyakarta that fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Research instrument which was used to measure insomnia level is KSPBJ questionnaire rating scale and to listen for murotal Al-Qur’an (Ar-Rahmaan) was used laptop and speaker. The duration of listening murotal Al-Qur’an was 8 days with 12 minutes for each day. Data analysis was used paired samples t test and independent samples t test. The level of insomnia for control group pre test and post test is in moderate insomnia by the mean ± SD each of them is 9.3 ± 3.7 and 10.3 ± 3.4 (p&gt;0.05) and for intervention group there was a changing from moderate insomnia to mild insomnia by the mean ± SD each of them is 10.9 ± 3.6 and 8.2 ± 4.2 (p&lt;0.05). There was a significant differences between the intervention group and control group by the mean ± SD each of them is -2.8 ± 3.0 and 0.9 ± 3.5 (p&lt;0.05). In conclusion, listening murotal Al-Qur’an was effective to reduce elderly insomnia level in shelter Dongkelsari Sleman Yogyakarta.</p>

Objective The present study was conducted with the objective of investigating the effectiveness of solution-focused group counseling (SFGC) on promoting the mental health of midwifery students. Methods The present study is an intervention-based study with a pretest, a post-test, and a control group. The statistical population included all of the midwifery students studying in the midwifery department of the Bam University of Medical Sciences, Kerman, Iran, who filled out the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) in the screening phase. In the second phase, 40 individuals, having a low level of mental health based on the cutoff score of 23, were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups (intervention and control), each group with 20 participants. The intervention group participated in 5 sessions of 75 minutes for SFGC. Then, the post-test was held in both groups and the data analysis was conducted using the Mann-Whitney and the Kruskal-Wallis test with IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 21.0 (IBM Corp, Armonk, NY, USA). The significance level was considered as p < 0.05. Results The findings showed that the mean of the post-test mental health scores of the intervention group (14.5 ± 50.35) and of the control group (23.6 ± 35.83) showed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.0001). Moreover, the comparison between the mean scores of the mental health subscales (physical symptoms, stress, social performance, and depression) showed a statistically significant difference in these groups, and SFGC improved physical symptoms, stress, social performance, and depression in the members of the intervention group. Conclusion Solution-focused group counseling may improve all levels of mental health. This type of counseling is recommended to be used to solve the psychological problems and to improve the mental health of students, as well as of the staff of the health system.

ABSTRACT Background: Children who are first hospitalized may experience higher anxiety levels than children who have been hospitalized. The preliminary study in 2018 showed that when general surgery was to be done, as many as 90%school-age children were scared and nervous. It is important to provide play therapy to children who are going to undergo surgery. In addition to reading and seeing through photos, pop-up toy story books will also be offered to school-age children. This study aimed to examine the relationship between pop up toys as story play therapy on the level of anxiety on general anesthesia surgery among children around 6-12 years old. Subjects and Method: This was an experimental study with pre-post test with control group design. This study was conducted in Yogyakarta Province hospital. Study subjects were children around 6-12 years old and will performed general anesthesia surgery. The data were collected using questioner and in-depth interview. The data were analyzed using Mann-Whitney test. Results: There was a decrease number of children with moderate level of anxiety after the intervention group using pop up toys as story play therapy from 30 children (81.1%) to 6 children (16.2%). While in the control group, a total of 25 children had moderate level of anxiety (87.6%) before the theraphy, and after therapy a total of 2 children also had moderate level of anxiety (5.4%), and they were statistically significant. Conclusion: Playing pop up toys story therapy has an effect on the level of anxiety among children around 6-12 years old and will performed general anesthesia surgery. Background: Clinical nurses are competent with good knowledge, skills and attitudes. These efforts are carried out through integrated training adaptation of the concept of From Novice to Expert Patricia Benner. The study aims to determine the effect of nursing training on increasing knowledge, skills and attitudes. Method: This quantitative research quasy experiment, using a non randomized control group pretest and posttest design. The study sample was 100 people, divided into two groups, namely the same intervention and control group. The research instrument was a valid and reliable questionnaire (Chronbach's alpha 0.989). Research for 12 weeks, March-June 2018 with nursing training interventions in the intervention group respondents. Results: The results of the study were the majority of respondents were female, aged 20-35, career level of clinical nurse level I. Diploma education and work period of 1-5 years. Bivariate results with the mean value of posttest score knowledge 97.20, increased by 21.6%, statistically meaningful knowledge of p value=0.000. The mean value of the posttest skill was score 92.96, increased by 23.92%, the skill statistically was significant p value=0.000 and the mean value of posttest attitude was 50.06, increased by 6.44%, statistically meaningful p value=0.000, there was an effect of nursing training on improving the knowledge, skills and attitudes of clinical nurses. The results of multivariate analysis of nursing training were statistically significant towards increasing knowledge of clinical nurses (p value=0.000), having the possibility of knowledge increasing 10 times, increasing skills statistically significant (p value=0.000), having the possibility of increasing skills 1.4 times and increasing statistically meaningful attitudes (p value=0.000), having an increased likelihood of attitudes 0.8 times compared to not getting training, no confounding variables were found. Conclusion: Based on this research, the increase in knowledge, skills and attitudes is influenced by nursing training from the aspects of material, methods, facilities, instructors and post-training evaluation methods. Thus to achieve optimal quality of knowledge, skills and attitude, it is advisable to conduct mentoring, supervision, mentoring and guidance in an integrated manner

Abstract: Deep Relaxation Therapy, Level Anxiety And Prolong Duration Labor Stage. Patients who will give birth had experienced psychological problems that cause form the emotional reaction as the manifestation of psychological symptoms, the actions to be carried out either surgery or childbirth aid measures constitute a potential or actual threat to the integrity of someone who can evoke physiological and psychological stress. This emotional reaction usually is generally a negative reaction, such as refuse, fear, anger, sadness, and anxiety. Giving deep breathing relaxation techniques in patients will be a decrease in tension, feeling amazingly beautiful in controlling body functions so that labor becomes smooth. Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of therapy on the breath in anxiety level and duration of labor. The design of this study using the pre and post-test only one group. analysis techniques with Wilcoxon test. using purposive sampling technique with 25 respondents. Univariate analysis results mean pre-test anxiety at 43.16 and the average post-test by 31. The mean duration of the first labor stage of the intervention group is 504 minutes and 564 minutes at control group. The Mean duration of second labor stage of the intervention group is 140 minutes and the control group was 57 minutes. Bivariate test results there is the influence between deep breathing relaxation therapy interventions with anxiety with a p value= 0.001, there is the influence of deep breathing relaxation techniques with the duration of first labor stage with p-value = 0.001, no effect of deep breathing relaxation with the duration of second labor stage with p = 0:59. In conclusion, there is the influence of deep breathing relaxation therapy to anxiety and the duration of the first stage of labor time, there is no influence therapy relaxation with the duration of the second labor stage.
