The importance of character education seems to have been recognized by the government. As an expression comes from the founding father of the nation that the battle will be more severe because the opponent is no longer come from the outside but from the inside, then through character education is proclaimed in the curriculum, especially in curriculum 2013, an obvious emphasis on the spiritual and social through their first core competencies and second core competencies that must exist in all subjects in school. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with triangulation, using data collection techniques, namely questionnaire, observation and interview. Research will be conducted in an elementary school using Curriculum 2013 in the District Kamal, there are five primary schools in Kamal those are SDN Banyuajuh 2, SDN Banyuajuh 3, SDN Banyuajuh 6, SDN Kamal 1, SDN Gili Anyar. The results of this study are expected to examine more deeper in the development of character-building nation, ie characters that contain values of Pancasila as education that contains the values of Pancasila with the essence of Pancasila as the outlook of the nation is a prime shield for the challenges and threats as forming the national character that is unique and distinctive that became distinguishing element between one nation by another nation.

The research is an inventory aimed at identifying and categorizing the character values in the English package books for students of Islamic Junior High School or Madrasah Tsanawiyah by considering their relevance to Islamic character values in the Quran and Hadits. The method used was content analysis following Bogdan and Biklen model by analyzing, grouping, sorting, and synthesizing the values taken from the package books to draw the patterns.  The patterns were discussed to conclude the final findings to be disseminated as the list of inventory.  The main data source was the English package books published by the government and the supporting data were the Core Competencies taken from Curriculum 2013 for Junior High School (SMP) and Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) or Islamic Junior High School students. There are 10 values inserted in the package books that are relevant to the Islamic religious characters. The result showed various English expressions relevant to Islamic character values which have a long-term and sustainable effect as a reference for character building by English teachers in developing English supplementary materials for Islamic Junior High School students.

The Impact

Realizing the character building on students is a national education goal. The character education is very important for the students. Therefore, the socialization and enculturation of national character education in schools by using an effective and efficient method are needed. This study aims to understand the process of socialization of character education in elementary school, to find the effective way of socialization models of national character education for students in elementary school through comics, and to determine the impact of socialization models of national character education for students in elementary school through the comic for the character building of students. This research was conducted using qualitative methods (Research & Development). The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that the socialization of the nations character education in primary schools is done in several ways; integrated with in the curriculum through the school management, and through extracurricular programs. Those ways do not seem to produce maximum results. Socialization model of the national character of education in the elementary schools through the comic is more effective to apply, because students are more interested in the visualization of interesting and familiar images.Menyadari pembangunan karakter siswa adalah tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pendidikan karakter sangat penting bagi para siswa. Oleh karena itu, sosialisasi dan enkulturasi pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah-sekolah dengan menggunakan metode yang efektif dan efisien diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami proses sosialisasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar, untuk menemukan cara yang efektif untuk model sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa bagi siswa di sekolah dasar melalui komik, dan untuk menentukan dampak dari model sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa bagi siswa di sekolah dasar melalui komik untuk membangun karakter siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif (Research & Development). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah dasar ini dilakukan dengan beberapa cara, terintegrasi dengan subjek termasuk, melalui manajemen sekolah, dan melalui program ekstrakurikuler. Mereka cara tampaknya tidak menghasilkan hasil yang maksimal. Model Sosialisasi karakter nasional pendidikan di sekolah dasar melalui komik lebih efektif untuk diterapkan, karena siswa lebih tertarik pada visualisasi gambar yang menarik dan akrab.

Abstrak:Internet hakekatnya hanya sebuah media berupa sebuah alat bukan tujuan. Pesatnya perkembangan kemampuan anak-anak dalam memanfaatkan internet merupakan peluang dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter melalui media ini. Untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter melalui internet diperlukan kesadaran dan kemampuan pihak-pihak terkait khususnya keluarga, sekolah, dan pemerintah. Peran keluarga perlu membentuk keluarga yang dapat menciptakan generasi penerus yang berkualitas dan berkarakter kuat, termasuk keluarga yang sadar dalam penggunaan internet yang sehat. Orangtua perlu memahami strategi penggunaan internet yang sehat, dimulai dari: meletakkan komputer ditempat umum, memilih jenis komputer PC, memiliki wawasan alamat situs edukatif, membimbing dan memonitor anak dalam menggunakan internet. Pemerintah memiliki kewajiban mendorong internet menjadi media pendidikan karakter bangsa. Sekolah selain menyediakan infrastruktur internet, juga perlu mengintegrasikan pembelajaran dengan internet, mengetahui alamat situs edukatif, memanfaatkan web atau blog sebagai sarana komunikasi dan interaksi pembelajaran, mendorong berbagai kreativitas anak melalui internet, serta membimbing dan mengarahkan peserta didik dalam memanfaatkan internet secara sehat. Kata Kunci: internet, pendidikan karakter, situs edukatif, internet sehatAbstract:Internet per se is only a medium in the form of a tool and not an end. The rapid development of the child’s ability in utilizing the Internet is an opportunity in instilling character education through this medium. To instill character education through the internet, awareness and ability of the parties concerned, especially families, schools, and government are needed. It is necessary to form a family who can create the next qualified and strong character generation, including families who are aware of healthy Internet utilization. Parents need to understand the strategy of a healthy internet use beginning with putting a computer in public area, choosing the PC type computer, having an educative website address insight, guiding and monitoring the child in using the Internet. The government has an obligation to encourage Internet as media of national character building. Schools in addition to providing Internet infrastructure, also need to integrate learning with the Internet, know educational website address, use a web or blog as a means of communication and interaction of learning, encourage creativity of children through the internet, as well as guide and direct learners in utilizing the Internet in a healthy manner. <p>The situation and condition of the nation’s concern, prompting the government to take the initiative to prioritize the development of national character education. National character building used as the mainstream of national development. It implies that any development efforts must always be directed to a positive impact on the development of character. Regarding the constitutional manner is already reflected in national development missions positioning character education as the first mission of the eight missions in order to realize the vision of national development. This research analyzes the cultural education and the character that comes from The Holly Books Of Buddha In Java Language By Rsi Wikkhu Dewadharmaputra<em>.</em> The focus of this research to reveal the cultural values and character arising from the practice of Buddhist ritual. The data is collected, analyzed by the method of hermeneutics.</p>

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the realization of capital expenditure budget in the Trade and Industry Board of Musi Banyuasin. It has been reached the goal budget target in the government of Musi Banyuasin Regency. The methods of research used are qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used are interview research, documentation, and library studies. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis methods and the use of capital expenditure budget data and the realization of capital spending in 2016 to 2018. The results showed that The Trade and Industry Board of Musi Banyuasin Regency in realization of the capital expenditure budget in the year 2016 to 2018 can be said to be effective and in positive growth. In 2016 to the year of 2018, The Trade and Industry Board of Musi Banyuasin Regency is still dependent on local government so that the implementation decentralization of capital expenditure budget can be said to be effective.

This study aims to describe the thoughts of K.H. Bisri Mustofa’s moral education in the books of Mitro Sejati and Ngudi Susilo and its relevance with the development of character building in Indonesia. To describe the concept of moral education in the aforementiod books, content analysis was used to grasp the main messages of the books. The finding showed that the thoughts of K.H. Bisri Mustofa’s moral education were relevant with the development of character building proclaimed by the government. The relevancyecould be found in the foundational thinking about moral education contended by K.H. Bisri Mustofa and character education in Indonesia, encompassing the importance of humanism in social interaction, moral degradation among adolescents, and the erosion of Eastern culture by Western culture.  Relevance was also found in the five main character values ​​that were prioritized in the implementation of the development of character building in which each value is relevant to KH. Bisri Mustofa. These values ​​include religious, integrity, nationalist, independent, and mutual cooperation.

This research focuses on the role of Al Muhajirin Orphanage in Palu City in building religious character of children reviewed from Islamic law. This research used qualitative research method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. The data obtained were analyzed using data reduction technique, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1). The caregivers' efforts in building the religious character of children were strongly supported by the situation and condition of Al Muhajirin Orphanage marked by the stay of foster children in the dormitory, so that religious-based character building could be performed optimally. The religious-based character values that were developed including being religious, disciplined, like to read, caring for the environment, responsible, and honest. The implementation of religious-based character formation aims to make a person as a good human being. The forms of implementation of character education are manifested by cultivating the faith, providing guidance, providing good role models, enforcing rules, providing advice, motivation, and conducting supervision (2). Islamic law review of the role of caregiver included educating, teaching, and training. Educating means transmitting and developing the values of life/personality. Teaching means transmitting and developing science and technology. While, training means developing skills in foster children based on QS. Al-Kahfi [18] 66-70. Meanwhile, character building in Islam is the same as moral education and it is also a purification of the soul and character of humans to become righteous humans based on the Quran and hadith.

ABSTRAKArtikel yang berupa gagasan dengan judul “Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Keteladanan Pahlawan Nasional, berawal dari temuan di lapangan, bahwa pembelajaran sejarah bersifat kognitif-oriented , kurang memperhatikan makna didaktis dan afektif. Artikel ini berusaha menemukan solusi agar terjadi perubahan paradigma dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan materi  sejarah. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitik.Pengembangan karakter siswa sebenarnya dapat efektif dengan materi sejarah. Pengintegrasian pendidikan karakter dalam materi sejarah dapat dilakukan melalui keteladanan para Pahlawan Nasional. Para pahlawan tersebut telah teruji integritasnya, sehingga pemerintah memberi penghargaan yang tinggi terkait perjuangan, sikap, pemikiran, dan karakternya. Untuk itu, dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa dapat dilakukan melalui isnpirasi dari  pahlawan nasional.Kata Kunci: Materi Sejarah, Pendidikan Karakter, Pahlawan Nasional ABSTRACTAn article, which is an idea entitled “Character Education through a National Hero Role Model”,begins with a finding in the field, that a History learning tends to be cognitive-oriented as well as inattentive in didactic and affective meanings. This article tries to find out a solution in order that a change of paradigm in compiling and developing a History lesson happens. This process of writing uses qualitative descriptive analytic method.Developing students’ character actually can be effective with History lesson. The integration of character education in History lesson can be done by National Heroes role model. Those National Heroes have had proven integrity as a result the government handed award for their struggle, attitude, thoughts and character. Abstract: The negative impact of globalization is the increasingly worsening character of the younger generation. In overcoming the problem of demoralizing the younger generation, the Government of Indonesia issued a policy of strengthening character education. This study aims to describe (1) the implementation of character education to support strengthening character education(PPK) movement at elementary school Muhammadiyah 9 Malang. (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of character education implementation in the context of supporting the PPK movement at elementary school Muhammadiyah 9 Malang. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, located at elementary school Muhammadiyah 9 Malang, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the implementation of PPK policies in schools was not much different from the character education programs that had previously been implemented. Strengthening the character education that runs is to add a variety of character planting habituation programs, increase the hours of character habituation activities, increase student learning activities and intensify a variety of programs that are already running at school. Schools implement the PPK movement according to the Ministry of Education and Culture's reference with three basic approaches. (2) Supporting factors are none other than full support provided by all schools and parents of students while inhibiting factors faced by schools are none other than students themselves and there are parents of students.Keywords: Policy, Strengthening Character Education, Elementary Schools Abstrak: Dampak yang dihasilkan globalisasi secara negatif yaitu semakin memburuknya karakter generasi muda. Dalam mengatasi persoalan demoralisasi generasi muda Pemerintah Indonesia mengeluarkan kebijakan penguatan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam rangka mendukung gerakan PPK di SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang. (2) faktor pendukung dan penghambat proses impelementasi pendidikan karakter dalam rangka mendukung gerakan PPK di SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, bertempat di SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) implementasi kebijakan PPK di sekolah tidak jauh berbeda dengan program pendidikan karakter yang sebelumnya sudah dilaksanakan. Penguatan pendidikan karakter yang berjalan yaitu dengan menambah berbagai program pembiasaan penanaman karakter, menambah jam kegiatan pembiasaan karakter, menambah kegiatan pembelajaran siswa dan mengintensifkan berbagai program yang sudah berjalan di sekolah. Sekolah mengimplementasikan gerakan PPK sesuai acuan kemendikbud dengan tiga basis pendekatan. (2) Faktor pendukung tidak lain berupa dukungan penuh yang diberikan oleh seluruh pihak sekolah dan orang tua siswa, sedangkan faktor penghambat yang dihadapi sekolah tidak lain berasal dari para peserta didik sendiri dan ada dari orang tua siswa.Kata kunci: Kebijakan, Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter, Sekolah Dasar

Folklore is a story that originated in society and developed in society in the past which played an important role in the development of children's character learning in the form of moral values. The purpose of this study was to explain the moral values contained in folklore to improve character education. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design. Where all the data collected is based on books and other supporting document data. From the discussion of the Timun Mas folklore, there are eight prominent moral values, namely religious values, independent values, curiosity values, hard work values, responsibility values, honesty values, creativity, the value of the spirit of hard work. And from the research results, it can be concluded that the folklore of Timun Mas has many moral values that can be applied in the world of Education to shape character.
