Nowadays more often people are asking about the meaning of life. It is a fundamental question that every human being faces. Man is asking whether life is worth living, what to do to make our life meaningful?A human being, among many needs, has the need for discovering the sense of life, the need comes from the very core of human existence as placed in time and connected with the phenomenon of passing away. Discovering the sense of life leads to the experience of happiness, joy, and to inner life lived much more to the full. Showing the meaning of life and helping to find that meaning are very important functions of religion. Due to it, a man is able to live one’s life, ambitions, goals, joyful moments as well as his or her suffering in the light of deeper understanding. Religion is the one that can often bring the richest and deepest answers to the question of the two meanings: the meaning of life and the world.

Self-determination of a woman is important for her self-realization at the beginning of the XXI century. A modern woman successfully combines two careers. She presents herself as a specialist and wife / mother. French writer S de Beauvoir drew attention to this in her novel "Magic Pictures" in 1966. Her heroines make it possible to understand the psychological problems of women. The classification of archetypes of goddesses in accordance with the stereotypes of modern women was applied. This concept logically complements feminist criticism and helps to investigate the way the archetypes of the goddesses are manifested in the images, respectively, "feminine", "feminist" and "female" concepts. This will contribute to the clarification of the parable in the works of S. de Beauvoir. S. de Beauvoir uses psychoanalytic approaches to distinguish conscious and unconscious in heroines of literary works, and great attention is paid to unconscious motives and feelings. The writer distinguishes psychoanalytic symptoms, conditions of women to display their personal "psychodrama", which is reflected in literary conflicts. S. de Beauvoir interprets conflicts as external and internal. During the analyses of the writer’s works we also differentiate the conscious and unconscious in her heroines, observe conflicts between men and women, between generations, between the desires of one person, in order to understand better the "mental" state, which promotes character’s development as an existant. The writer made an extremely important artistic and aesthetic contribution into the creation of "feminine" artistic images, which reveals the archetype of Aphrodite, that through the issue of choice introduces the idea of the importance of "love", deprives of feelings and the status of the "Оther" as an inferiority complex, reaching the level of self-realization of an existant.S. de Beauvoir explores the phenomenon of literary existentialism as a problem of choice which a character has to face and contributes to its evolution. S. de Beauvoir’s creation of influential characters, according to "feminine" concept, achieves the highest resonance in the mid ХХ century and extends to the beginning of ХХ–XXI century.

The review is devoted to the analysis of features of a theoretical construction which Victor Petrushenko calls as “psychological ontology”. The review emphasizes the original explanation of the structure of the psychological picture of the human world and its components – forms of empirical knowledge (feelings, perceptions and representations). The author of the monograph analyzes the dynamic interaction of thinking, or the second reflection, with the psychics (the first reflection), as a result of which we distinguish between being and non-being. The main conclusion of the monograph is that human existence is an intertwining of psychology with ontology, and it is well argued. Only through such a linkage of psychics and being the meaning of life, society, morality, values, responsibility are possible.

One of the most serious problems in the field of combating crime is the fight against transnational corruption crime. This type of crime already (de facto and de jure) exists as international crime and has a specific subject composition, geography of commission and complex objective reasons. The core of transnational corruption crime is bribery widely used by transnational corporations for achieving their corporate purposes. Combatting such crimes by means of criminal law is carried out at various levels: international, interregional, regional, subregional, bilateral, and domestic. The purpose of this article is to characterize transnational corruption, which is one of the forms of self-determination of crime. The article provides a comprehensive classification of corruption crimes based on various criminal law and criminological criteria. The author pays special attention to the fact that all transnational corruption crimes can be divided into main and auxiliary. At the same time, these two types of offences are often inseparable. The author proposes the main directions of criminal law impact on transnational corruption crime, which could be used in both the General part and Special part of criminal law. The methodology of the article is based on the laws of materialist dialectics. The article rests on a wide range of Russian and foreign sources of scientific, legal, statistical, sociological, and other nature. The author applied the following research methods: analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, systemic-structural method, logicallegal, and comparativelegal.

The article attempts to understand the author’s attitude to the main character of the novel “Eugene Onegin” by Alexander Pushkin. For the first time, a complete picture of Onegin’s evolution is given. The author proves that the rapture of secular life is just his prehistory; that the search for self-determination of Pushkin’s hero begins with a blues (premature old age of the soul). Communication with Vladimir Lensky makes Onegin reflect on the meaning of life. The highest point of his searches is freedom and peace (at the level of interests of the circus circle). Thoughts on the Onegin’s hypothetical fate are not attempts “to complete” the novel ending, but this is a way to understand the hero more deeply. The poet himself gave an example of such hypothetical thoughts. The “Fragments from Onegin’s Journey” that violate the plot sequence, placed after the notes (end sign), with their tone create a hint in determining Onegin’s hypothetical fate.

In the face of a society that liquefies the dimensions of human existence, this project of strengthening institutional links is quite significant, as there is a concern with the formation of the human person as a whole. At the present time, self-donation seems to go against the prevailing “cultural” current. However, this work is proof that the collaborative dimension must be enhanced. Taking advantage of the institutional purpose in the various Campuses of the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB) and the interest of the Diocese of Ilhéus to build partnerships, an intertwining of interests arose, made positive by the conclusion of an agreement, the result of a pilgrimage of knowledge, juxtaposed in a common interest. The current “culture”, marked by immanence, which imprisons the human being in the immediate and does not respond to his deepest aspirations regarding the meaning of life, lacks a humanism that is capable of showing the existence of the Divine. The Ilheus School of Theology (ETEL), which aims to train its lay people, was based on the curricular structure of the Institute of Theology of the Diocese of Ilhéus, which became one of the most renowned institutes of Philosophy and Theology in Brazil. Through this agreement with UNEB, it was possible to academically institutionalize a relevant action already developed by the diocese. This partnership experience between UNEB and ETEL was and has been enriching, with gains for both institutions.

All Indian philosophical traditions are deeply engaged with ontology, the study of being, since clarity about the nature of reality is at the heart of three intimately connected goals: knowledge, proper conduct and liberation from the continued suffering that is part of all human existence. The formulation of a list of ontological categories, a classification of reality by division into several fundamental objective kinds, however, is less widespread. There is little room for a doctrine of distinct, if related, ontological categories in a philosophical school that takes reality as one, even less if that one lies beyond description. If the phenomenal world is but illusory appearance, as, for example, in the Vedānta of Śaṅkara, then a determination of kinds of entities does not recommend itself as a means to adequate analysis of the world. Even the Sāṅkhya tradition’s realism reduces the world to an evolution from two fundamental entities, spirit and matter. Categories make sense within the context of a pluralistic realism, an analysis of the world that finds it to be composed of a multiplicity of real entities. Such a view is found to some extent in Jaina philosophy, but is primarily defended and developed in the Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika school. The Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika categories are seven: substance, quality, motion, universal, particular, inherence and not-being. While all are understood as real entities and objects of knowledge, substance is most fundamental as each of the others in some way depends on substance. Substances are nine: earth, water, fire, air, ether, time, space, self and mind. The first four are atomic: they may combine to form macroscopic substance, such as a clay pot, but in incomposite form they are indestructible atoms, as are the last two. Ether, time and space, likewise indestructible, are unitary and pervade all. In its irreducible parts, all substance is eternal; every composite whole is a destructible substance. A relation of containment, called inherence, structures the categories. The qualities, actions and universals by which we might characterize a pot inhere in it. They are distinct entities from the pot, yet cannot exist apart from their underlying substrate. Composite substances like a pot are also contained in their parts by inherence, but the smallest parts, eternal substances, exist independently as receptacles that contain nothing. A whole, greater than the sum of its parts, is said to inhere in the parts while the parts are the inherence cause of the whole. Eternal substance, the ultimate substrate of all, is a bare particular. An entity that is nothing but a receptacle for other entities, it furnishes criteria for separability and individuality, but cannot be defined in itself apart from others. This aspect of the concept of substance leads later Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika into extensive analysis of relations and negation.

The article presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study of the interrelationships of the meaning-life and value orientations of the individual entrepreneurs and the indicators of their economic self-determination. The results of the correlation analysis showed the presence of multiple statistically significant relationships between the meaning-of-life orientations of entrepreneurs and indicators of their economic self-determination. The scales "Life process or interest and emotional saturation of life" and "Locus of control - life or manageability of life" found the greatest number of correlations with indicators of economic self-determination. The high importance values, the United Schwartz block "openness to change" (self-direction and stimulation) and "self-exaltation (power and achievement) combined with high significance values "hedonism", which, according to Schwartz, is a separate unit, and includes elements of both openness to change and self-exaltation, is positively correlated with indicators of economic self-determination, characterized by positive assessments of their business activity and the dynamics of its changes, the relationship of competition and risk, their own opportunities to increase the success of their business and the success of their business activities. The results of the study confirm the validity of considering the meaning of life and value orientations of the individual as factors of self-determination of entrepreneurs.

This article aims to reveal the concept of logotherapy of Victor Frankl. This study uses descriptive analysis. First, the concept of logotherapy has three pillars in its philosophical foundation, the freedom of will, in this context every human being free to make choices to determine his own choice and destiny. The will to meaning, which every human being has the desire to have meaning in life. The meaning of life is an awareness of the possibility to realize what is being done at that time which then if successfully fulfilled will produce happiness. Second, in logotherapy, there is a noetic dimension which equivalent to the spiritual dimension, which tends toward the anthropological dimension rather than the theological dimension and does not contain religion. Third, the spiritual logotherapy dimension is different from Sufism. If Sufism spiritual affirms the sharia, then logotherapy departs from human existence. The implications of these differences give to a variety of happiness, both spiritual and physical.   Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkap konsep logoterapi yang diformulasikan oleh Victor Frankl. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis kajian ini menghasilkan beberapa kesimpulan: pertama, konsep logoterapi memiliki tiga landasan filosofis yaitu, kebebasan berkeinginan (the freedom of will). Dalam konteks ini setiap manusia bebas menentukan pilihan dan nasibnya sendiri. Keinginan akan makna (the will to meaning), yaitu manusia memiliki hasrat untuk memiliki makna hidup.
