In modern society, an important role is assigned to the protection of water protection zones, reservoirs, rivers and seas, because they are the main areas of life and recreation of the population. In the Rostov region they are: the coasts of the Black and Azov seas; Tsimlyanskoe, Manochevskoe, Veselovskoe reservoirs; the Don River and others, which requires the creation of new technical solutions for bank protection using composite heterogeneous multilayer structures that form a leveled complex bank, will determine the rational shape of the side walls of the junction of the streams. This requires the creation of design parameters for them.

The creation of the Islamic State in Iraq and Sham (ISIS) changed the nature of jihadism worldwide. For a few years (2014–2017) it exemplified the destructive capacity of jihadism and created a new utopia aimed at restoring the past greatness and glory of the former caliphate. It also attracted tens of thousands of young wannabe combatants of faith (mujahids, those who make jihad) toward Syria and Iraq from more than 100 countries. Its utopia was dual: not only re-creating the caliphate that would spread Islam all over the world but also creating a cohesive, imagined community (the neo-umma) that would restore patriarchal family and put an end to the crisis of modern society through an inflexible interpretation of shari‘a (Islamic laws and commandments). To achieve these goals, ISIS diversified its approach. It focused, in the West, on the rancor of the Muslim migrants’ sons and daughters, on exoticism, and on an imaginary dream world and, in the Middle East, on tribes and the Sunni/Shi‘a divide, particularly in the Iraqi and Syrian societies.

The work was carried out within the framework of the initial stage of the master's research related to the application of mathematical modeling and information technologies to the study of environmental problems of water bodies. The work presents the results of statistical modeling associated with the processing of data from two surveys: residents of the Rostov region and foreign residents. Based on the results of surveys carried out using Internet technologies, the authors make some conclusions about the attitude of residents to the problems under consideration. The proposed results are accompanied by graphical presentation in the form of diagrams, which greatly simplifies understanding. The results also make it possible to justify the next stage of the scientific research - modeling plastic in the Don River.

В статье представлен обзор выставки современного декоративноприкладного искусства Ленатавр, проходившей в Красноярском художественном музее имени В.И.Сурикова. Описание совместного творческого проекта музея и художников керамиста Елены Красновой и живописца Елены Лихацкой наглядно иллюстрирует технические трудности и творческие процессы, возникающие в совместной работе авторов произведений и куратора выставки. Автором с позиции куратора рассматривается подготовка выставки как творческий процесс и экспозиция выставки как самостоятельный художественный объект, при создании которого необходимо учесть множество взаимодополняющих факторов, соблюсти определенные условия экспонирования на музейной площади, совместить творчество разных художников, избежав диссонанса. Главная задача куратора состоит в том, чтобы представить произведения художников с такой позиции, при которой у посетителей возникает необходимость изучения творчества представленных авторов, которая вызывает побуждение к размышлению, привлекает внимание к животрепещущим вопросам современного общества, рассматриваемым в работах Елены Красновой. The article presents an overview of the Lenataur exhibition of contemporary arts and crafts, which took place in the Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after V.I. Surikov. A description of the joint creative project of the museum and artists (ceramist Elena Krasnova and painter Elena Lihacka) vividly illustrates the technical difficulties and creative processes that arise in the joint work of the authors of the works and the curator of the exhibition. From the position of the curator, the author considers the preparation of the exhibition as a creative process and the exhibition as an independent artistic object, the creation of which requires taking into account many complementary factors, meeting certain conditions of display on the museum square, combining the work of various artists, avoiding dissonance. The main task of the curator is to present works of artists from such a position, in which the visitors need to study the works of the submitted authors, which causes an incentive to reflect, draws attention to the burning issues of modern society, considered in the works of Elena Krasnova.

Objective: Selection of technical solutions for designing a covered detachable body fence with sliding side walls and a roof. Methods: A detachable body with sliding side walls and a roof was designed in accordance with several technical and regulatory documents using the KOMPAS-3D design software. Results: The covered detachable body with sliding side walls and a roof designed for the carriage of goods that require protection from atmospheric precipitation has been proposed. A scheme of a lock for side sliding doors and a linkage scheme of the doors’ middle part have been developed. Drawings of the main load-bearing elements of the car body are presented, including the underframe with three longitudinal and several transverse and auxiliary beams. The diagram of fastening the sliding door roller assemblies on the car body to the lower longitudinal beams and to the upper beam is given. Practical importance: The covered detachable body with sliding side walls and a roof allows reducing the time and human effort of loading and unloading the car, provides simultaneous loading and unloading of goods both from the side and from the top of the body using various hoisting devices.

Wind speed turbulence intensity is a crucial parameter in designing the structure of wind turbines. The IEC61400 considers the Normal Turbulence Model (NTM) as a reference for fatigue load calculations for small and large wind turbines. La Ventosa is a relevant region for the development of the wind power sector in Mexico. However, in the literature, there are no studies on this important parameter in this zone. Therefore, we present an analysis of the turbulence intensity to improve the understanding of local winds and contribute to the development of reliable technical solutions. In this work, we experimentally estimate the turbulence intensity of the region and the wind shear exponent in terms of atmospheric stability to analyze the relation of these design parameters with the recommended standard for large and small wind turbines. The results showed that the atmosphere is strongly convective and stable in most of the eleven months studied. The turbulence intensity analysis showed that for a range of wind speeds between 2 and 24 m/s, some values of the variable measured were greater than those recommended by the standard, which corresponds to 388 hours of turbulence intensity being underestimated. This may lead to fatigue loads and cause structural damage to the technologies installed in the zone if they were not designed to operate in these wind speed conditions.

Special features of the Don River flows’ dynamic changes in case of implementation of bank protection various versions in the area of Pavlovsk, Voronezh Oblast, have considered on the basis of computing experiments in two-dimensional definition. Efficiency of the bank protection various versions have been assessed in the conditions of the preset probability floods. Alterations of the velocity fields for different scenarios have been used for assessment. It has been shown that the maximal offshore motion of sediments is not always observed with the maximal water discharge and this has been confirmed by Zheleznyakov kinematic effect.

The article discusses technical solutions for the creation of an effective design of a brake system for high-speed longwheelbase platforms intended for the transport of containers, as well as for the development of a fundamentally new brake equipment for the pneumatic, electro-pneumatic and mechanical parts of the brake system. Modular braking equipment for the pneumatic and electro-pneumatic parts of the high-speed platform braking system, compactly located under the platform frame, provides technical compatibility when controlling platform brakes as part of not only a high-speed freight train of permanent formation, but also in trains for other purposes, regardless of the location of the platform in the composition of the train. The performance of the braking equipment of each platform in motion and in the parking lot is monitored using pressure sensors and an electronic unit that processes the readings of the sensors and transmits information to the locomotive via one of the wire lines of the electro-pneumatic brake. The brake rigging used on the high-speed platform is arranged in the design of three-axle bogies and provides doublesided pressing on the wheels with typical composite brake pads, automatic regulation and maintenance of the standard clearances between brake pads and wheels. The proposed promising technical solutions make it possible to continuously diagnose the parameters of the brakes of each platform as part of a permanent train, display them on the locomotive monitor and transmit them to the dispatch centers of the Russian Railways infrastructure. Thanks to this, the braking effciency can be increased and the safety of train traffc can be ensured while increasing the permissible travel speeds. In the modern concept of digitalization of the infrastructure of Russian Railways, which provides for the creation in 2021–2025 (and in the future until 2030) of cars in which intelligent technologies should be applied, the braking system of a high-speed platform can be considered as the basis for creating a digitally controlled train — one of the key elements of the digital railway.

A large number of articles have been devoted to the problem of calculation of main parameters for single-tier tuyeres. Various methods and equations on the matter have been proposed in the papers. However, they do not provide the necessary information which of these methods allows the obtaining of the main design parameters of single-tier tuyere, which will correspond to the existing standard structures, i.e. will be adapted to modern working conditions of national iron-and-steel enterprises of Ukraine. The creation of above-mentioned methods of calculation is an important question, as it will contribute to the development of more advanced single-tier tuyeres. Five methods have been developed for calculation of the main design parameters of single-tier tuyeres. Appropriate analytical and computational research was conducted using these five methods. It was found that the approximate comparison results of the modern main design parameters of single-tier tuyere on the converters of National iron-and-steel enterprises of Ukraine can be obtained by methods one and four. However, the method four requires some additional graphs which can complicate the development of the calculation program for this method.

The purpose of the article is to study the potential of cultural services in the new socio-economic conditions and in the context of the decentralization reform of Ukrainian society. The methodology is to apply such methods as comparative analysis and synthesis to characterize cultural services both in Ukraine and abroad; philosophical and logical to reveal the modern potential of cultural services in the new socio-economic conditions. The scientific novelty of the work is that the problems of innovative development of Ukraine, in particular in terms of technological systems, were analyzed and the role of culture, creative industries and cultural services in the development of modern society was clarified. Conclusions. At the present stage, the problems of innovative development of Ukraine are actualized precisely by technological methods. In turn, in the era of globalization, culture is becoming a «lifeline» that can bring society out of economic and social stagnation, and creative industries contribute to the creation of new innovative markets. Today, the development of creative industries is an important task for many countries, and creativity is a key point for a society based on knowledge and an efficient economy, as it significantly contributes to the development of various spheres of life and the country as a whole. In Ukraine, decentralization reform opens up great prospects for development for communities, as most small towns have significant tourist, recreational, cultural, historical and natural potential, and therefore there is a need to develop their own development strategy in the new socio-economic conditions. Meanwhile, the decentralization reform has contributed to the revitalization of primary cultural (club) infrastructure, including cultural hubs, which contributes to the creation of high-quality cultural goods and services to meet the cultural needs of the community. Ukraine also already has interesting examples of transforming former factories into creative hubs, including «Art Factory Platform», «UNIT.City», «Art Factory Mechanics», «Lem Station» and «!FESTrepublic» etc. However, in Ukrainian society the issue of discussing and approving a «minimum cultural basket» remains unresolved, which will contribute to the formation of single information and cultural space and provide guarantees for the population in obtaining cultural services and equal access to them.
