Blockchain application development has received much attention nowadays. As development is complex and challenging, a systematic approach is needed to improve the product, services, and process quality. Despite the introduction of techniques, there are still inadequate models for demonstrating the blockchain's internal architecture. Hence, there is a gap when developing the blockchain application, a gap in the modelling environment of a blockchain development application. This paper introduces a new insight into blockchain application development through Agent-Oriented Modelling (AOM). AOM is a methodology for complex socio-technical system development, and we believe that it can reduce the complexity of implementing the blockchain application. In this paper, the AOM is used to model a blockchain-based "win a fortune" system, which includes smart contract development. It showcases the feasibility of adopting AOM to model a blockchain enabling application. A usability survey among the novices has further validated the usability and benefits of AOM in the blockchain enabling application development.

Abstract—The need for information system development in a company is a basic requirement that must be met by each company in order to run its business processes properly. This is the basic key in a company in order to provide maximum results to find as many profits or profits. Application development or requirements in the application also provide speed for employees to carry out their activities to work properly and optimally. The development of the era requires that companies must be productive and have innovations so that the business wheel of the company can run well. This is based on the development of technology that is so fast that it requires special expertise in its application. This research is expected to be able to help some problems that exist in a company. Where its application can make it easier for employees to carry out their respective duties and roles in order to maximize their potential. The main disadvantages of the existing methods of managing the current state of technical systems are revealed. A non-standard approach is proposed for managing the functionality of the system in emergency situations. The character of the dynamics of the recovery processes of the technical system is determined as its state approaches the emergency one on the basis of the recommendations of the theory of self-organized criticality (SOC). The physical criteria for assessing the current state of the technical system are revealed. The rationale for using the physical indicator of the functional destabilization of the system is given. The signs of the pre-emergency state of the technical system are considered. A grapho-analytical model for the development of an emergency situation has been developed. The fact of the inevitable increase in the entropy of the system upon its transition to an emergency state is established. Structuring of the system development process in an emergency situation is carried out in three stages. The methodology for estimating the pre-emergency state of complex open systems is presented. The advantages of the proposed approach to managing the state of technical systems in comparison with traditional ones are established.

The case of lost or missing children when people go traveling or in the hustle often occurs due to lack of parental supervision. These problems can be solved using Global Position System (GPS)-based navigation technology Location Based Service (LBS). This research aimed to determine the position of members of the community (such as family) who were lost or missing by using mobile devices. Rapid Application Development (RAD) was used for system development, which comprised the step of requirement or planning, system design, development, and cutover. The result of this research is a GPS-based application that is able to display the position of members of the community, the route to the location, and the media discussion (comments). The conclusions show that the application provides an easy and useful function in finding the location of the community member, displays the route to the location, and allows the interaction in the form of communication.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a concept of enterprise system that describe the integration of the whole process in the organization. Study in this field mostly about external development paradigm on information system development. So, issue in ERP is all about how to adopt it in the organization, not about the application development. This paper reviews two methodology on ERP system implementation, one is vendor perspective methodology and new generic perspective methodology. Comparation of both methodology is done in this study by using Roger Sessions’ metric. Result is the vendor perspective slightly superior than the new generic perspective methodology.

The following paper discusses one of the aspects of environmental education. It is related to the necessity to use a systematic approach for schoolchildrens environmental thinking development. The process of environmental thinking development is linked with environmental education implementation. For a long time, environmental education was considered as an integral part of biological education, but now an interdisciplinary approach to this work is considered. Different models of cognition are also considered, the recognition or denial of which influenced the nature of science development and the content of the educational process. Cognitive models in varying degrees, depending on specific conditions, determined the level and nature of ecological knowledge system development. A systematic approach for schoolchildrens environmental thinking development should be based on the main positions, which are the basis of cognitive models that act as paradigmatic methodological guidelines. The implementation of a systematic approach to environmental thinking development proceeds more successfully when using the practice-oriented approach, which lies at the basis of the lesson and students extracurricular activities organization. The above mentioned approach can be now implemented in the form of project development. While working with students - prospective teachers, ecologization of disciplines is widely implemented.

There are several systems development methodologies including traditional and agile methodologies being utilized in current systems development. However, it could be argued that when developing mobile commerce applications, suitable development framework should be investigated as these applications are utilized in different contexts from fixed ecommerce applications. This study identifies suitable system development methodology framework for mobile commerce applications. In order to achieve this aim, the practitioners from seven organizations were asked to provide information about their development methodologies by answering the questions regarding mobile commerce application development. The questions were opened and aimed to explore practitioner’s perspectives on the development methodologies. From the practitioner’s perspectives, it was found that there were several development methodologies being used in mobile commerce application development and these can be classified into two different development frameworks which are heavyweight/traditional and lightweight/agile methodologies. The suitable methodology framework for mobile commerce application development thus was identified.

As part of the airworthiness requirements, an aircraft cannot be dispatched with an inoperative equipment or system unless this is allowed by the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) under any applicable conditions. Commonly, the MEL mirrors the Master MEL (MMEL), which is developed by the manufacturer and approved by the regulator. However, the increasing complexity of aircraft systems and the diversity of operational requirements, environmental conditions, fleet configuration, etc. necessitates a tailored approach to developing the MEL. While it is the responsibility of every aircraft operator to ensure the airworthiness of their aircraft, regulators are also required to publish guidelines to help operators develop their MELs. Currently, there is no approved standard to develop a MEL, and this poses a challenge to both aviation regulators and aircraft operators. This paper reviews current MEL literature, standards and processes as well as MEL related accidents/incidents to offer an overview of the present state of the MEL development and use and reinstate the need for a systematic approach. Furthermore, this paper exposes the paucity of MEL related literature and the ambiguity in MEL regulations. In addition, it was found that inadequate training and guidance on the development and use of MEL as well as lack of prior experience in airworthiness topics can lead to mismanagement and misapplication of the MEL. Considering the challenges outlined above, this study proposes the combination of system engineering and socio-technical system approaches for the development of a MEL.

Information systems and information technology (IS/IT) services are often outsourced to external partners for multiple reasons. The outsourcing literature is persistently reporting high failure rates in IS/IT project outsourcing. Literature suggests that the IS/IT project outsourcing is a complex maneuver, but unfortunately, none of the proposed remedies (mitigating actions) have considered addressing the complexity related issue in IS/IT project outsourcing. This paper explores the concept of modularity, as it has been applied in many other fields in order to manage complexity and enhance agility/flexibility. This paper presents a case study conducted at a Belgian organization involved in technology services and is part of a research project consisting of four cases. This study illustrates a systematic approach, how the concept of modularity can be applied in identifying ‘couplings' which may be responsible for increasing complexity to IS/IT project outsourcing. This study is a first attempt to gain insight into this phenomenon.

Micro-simulation packages provide an efficient and systematic approach to depicting traffic dynamics. Nonetheless, many of these models used by the micro-simulation packages are only calibrated with respect to observed traffic indicators such as average speed, traffic count, and so forth, while omitting non-traffic indicators. This paper aims to investigate the performance of VISSIM and TransModeler when depicting non-traffic indicators such as fuel consumption, emissions, and safety. A model was first calibrated for traffic indicators based on Next Generation SIMulation (NGSIM) trajectories. Results indicated that after calibration, simulation accuracy was still unsatisfactory with regard to energy consumption and emission measurements, with errors of up to 38.23% in VISSIM. In assessing safety, the relative error of VISSIM increased from 12.36% to 59.92% after calibration. The error in TransModeler increased to almost 100%. Furthermore, this study explored the simulation accuracy of VISSIM and TransModeler under different traffic conditions and discovered that the models’ accuracies were relatively high when simulating stop-and-go traffic. We also explored the causes of these observed differences through a regression model. This study presents practical insight into the deficiencies of micro-simulation related research, and based on error analysis, provides a theoretical reference for optimizing simulation accuracy from a novel perspective.
