<p><em>Achieving the learning outcomes set for the classroom is the main goal of instruction. Todays’ teachers utilize various methods to achieve optimum learning for the students.  This study investigated the effect of peer tutoring strategy on the students’ achievement in solving exponential expressions. It also determined the students’ persistent errors in solving given exponential expressions. This study employed a quasi-experimental design and two intact classes randomly assigned to an experimental and control group. A validated 10-item test (α=.75) was utilized as the main instrument. Results revealed that students in the peer tutoring group performed better than in the lecture group. Moreover, the peer tutoring strategy significantly improved the learning outcomes of students in the experimental group. It is recommended that peer tutoring strategy may be used by mathematics teachers to improve their students' performance in the subject matter. Implications address the need to explore other teaching strategies suited for students in the Mathematics classroom</em>.</p>

Teaching materials by integrating local culture makes easier for students to understand the subject matter in the learning process. The aims of the study is to measure the effectiveness of teaching materials based on local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai in improving the students problem solving abilities. The research method was a quasi experimental which use non equivalent control group in the pretest posttest design. The sample of study were students of Senior High School grade X in Binjai that consisted of experiment group which used teaching materials based on local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai and control group that used student handbooks. Teaching materials are tested by material experts and technology experts to ensure the quality of teaching materials. Data collection was conducted through test. The results showed that the teaching materials based on local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai effective in improving students problem solving abilities in the experimental group students based on the results of N gain value was 0.67 which has medium criteria. It means teaching materials based on agricultural local wisdom of agriculture in Binjai can be used as one of the teaching materials in learning activities.

Abstract:  This study aims to find out the results of physics learning between students who follow the learning with simple folding comic Physics with students who follow conventional learning in grade IX B students at MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang. This type of research is included in experimental quasi design research. The population used is all grade IX students in MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang. In this study, two classes were taken as a sample of research divided into experimental classes and control classes. obtained samples are class IX B MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang as an experimental group and class IX A MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang as a control group. Research data in the form of physics learning results in the cognitive sphere was collected using a test of learning results, this research using the design of Pretest-Posstes. The collected data were then analyzed using t-related tests to determine significant differences in learning outcomes between the two sample classes. Based on the results of the study obtained the initial ability of students for both groups is homogeneous shown by Fhitung < Ftabel (1.07 < 2.14) and the differences between the two groups are insignificant on the subject of energy changes with units and the final ability test ruler shown by thitung > ttabel (3,134 > 2,005), so Ha was accepted.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pngaruh hasil belajar fisika antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan komik lipat sederhana Fisika dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas kelas IX B di MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian quasi eksperimental design. Populasi yang dipergunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX di MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang. Pada penelitian ini diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian yang terbagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. diperoleh sampel yaitu kelas IX B MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IX A MTs Nurul Ishlah Gegelang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data penelitian berupa hasil belajar fisika pada ranah kognitif dikumpulkan menggunakan tes hasil belajar, Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pretest-Posstes. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji-t related untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kedua kelas sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kemampuan awal siswa untuuk kedua kelompok adalah homogen yang ditunjukkan dengan Fhitung < Ftabel (1,07 < 2,14) serta perbedaan yang dimiliki antara kedua kelompok tidak signifikan pada pokok bahasan perubahan energi dengan satuan dan pengkuran  tes kemampuan akhir yang ditunjukkan dengan thitung  > ttabel (3,134 > 2,005), sehingga Ha diterima.

Abstract. This research has been made to know skill of student’s concept by using active learning strategy everyone is teacher here (ETH). Beside that this study aims to measure student’s concept understanding with statistical test between Experimental Class (Active Learning Strategy Everyone Is Teacher Here) and control class (Conventional Learning ). The population was seventh grade of SMPN 3 Lirik consist 94 students in three classes. Sample was took randomly, experiment class ( VII.2 ) and control class ( VII.I ) This research was experiment, the form of this research was Quasi Experimental Design with randomized subject posttest only control group design. based on statistic data processing has been retrieved - t hitung -3,159 smaller than - t table was -2,000 and based on t test has been retrieved -thitung < -t table so Ho rejected and Ha received. So that the writer conclude that skill of math student’s concept understanding by using active learning Strategy Everyone Is Teacher Here (ETH) is better than conventional concept understanding.Keywords: Everyone Is A Teacher Here, Concept Understanding

ABSTRACTThis study was initiated by the students’ low learning outcomes on Chemistry subject and the teachers’ preference in using lecture method in teaching learning process.This study aimed at 1) finding out the differences of students’ learning outcomes between the use of flash media-assisted practical method and lecture method on hydrocarbon class at grade XI MIA of SMA Muhammadiyah I Pontianak. Using quasi experimental design and Control Group Posttes Design, this study employed the students of grade XI MIA 2 as the samples of experiment group, andthe students of grade XI MIA 2 as the samples of control group. The data collection techniques used were measurement and observation. While the instruments employed were observation sheet and essay. TheU-Mann Whitneytest revealed that the post test score of 0,0140< 0,05 Ho was rejected, while the Ha one was accepted. It means that there was correlation of students’ learning outcomes between the experiment and the control groups. In addition, the effect size result was 1,086 > 0,8 and considered high which indicated the positive effect of flash media-assisted practical method in enhancing students’ learning achievement.Keywords: flash, learning outcomes, hydrocarbon, practical method

This paper attempts to explore whether there is significant difference of achievement in vocabulary between students taught by using pictures and those are not. The subject of this study is the first year students of SLTP Muhammadiyah Simo Susukan, Semarang where the sample contains 50 students that is divided into experimental group (with treatment) and control group (without treatment). The data is gathered from participants’ score obtained from pre test and post test. Using t test as technique of data analysis, result shows that students taught by using pictures perform better than those are not. This study investigated the effectiveness of a peer tutoring program that was implemented for Basic Solid Mechanics course, as an intervention program to improve students’ performance in the course. Ten tutors were chosen to provide tutoring services to an experimental group of 36 tutees. Tutees were required to answer an entry test before the intervention program, and another exit test after the program. A control group which shared the same instructor in their lecture classes was included in the study. Comparison between the performances for entry and exit tests of both experimental and control groups were made. Analyses showed an increase in the percentage of students that passed the exit test from the experimental group. The average marks for the experimental group in the exit test also increased, compared to their marks in the entry test. A Mann- Whitney U test conducted indicated a significant difference between the gain scores of the experimental group and control group. A further metaanalysis revealed a large effect size, signaling the practical significance of the results. The findings demonstrated the effectiveness of the peer tutoring intervention program on students’ performance of the course.

<p>This research is aimed to find out:  (1) the differences learning outcomes between project based learning aided edmodo model  and conventional learning (2) the effectiveness of using project based learning model to increase learning outcomes of two dimentional animation techniques. This research used quasi experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research are students of class XI 1 and XI 3 multimedia program of Vocation High School Batik 2 Surakarta with 70 students. The technique of data collection used test to find out cognitive value and observation to find out affective and psychomotor values. The data analysis used were t-test formula and gain index analysis. The result showed that : (1) there was difference learning outcomes between project based learning model and conventional learning model at eleventh grade students of vocational high school Batik 2 Surakarta which shown by t_count= 4,435 cognitive, t_count= 2,175 affective, t_count  = 2,344 psychomotor were bigger that t_table = 1,995. (2) project based learning is more effective than conventional learning model to increase learning outcomes of two dimentional animation techniques which shown by gain index analisys, at experiment class obtained 0,587 and control class obtained 0,369.</p>

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X pada materi pokok Listrik Dinamis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X yang terdiri dari 8 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas X-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar yang telah divalidasi dalam bentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 20 soal. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 33,06 dan kelas kontrol 32,78. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning dan kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diberikan, diperoleh postes dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 75,69 dan kelas kontrol 69,86. Hasil uji t dengan taraf signifikasi 0,05 bahwa secara signifikan ada perbedaan akibat pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok Listrik Dinamis di kelas X. Kata kunci : model pembelajaran discovery learning dan hasil belajar siswa.   ABSTRACT This research aimed to know the effect of discovery learning model on students learning outcomes in the subject matter dynamical electricity in class X. The type of research was quasi-experimental. The population were the tenth grade students consisting of 8 classes. The samples collection done by means of cluster of random sampling by taking 2 class at random that is class X-5 as experiment class and class X-6 as control class. The instruments used were test of learning outcomes that have been validated in the form of option as much as 20 questions. The research result obtained average value of experiment pretest class 33,06 and the control class 32,78. Then given different treatment, experiment class with discovery learning and control class with conventional of models. After learning is completed, obtained postest the average value of experiment class 75,69 and control class 69,86. The results of t one party with the level significance in 0,05 obtained there is difference of students’ learning outcomes due to the effect of discovery learning in the subject matter listrik dinamis in class X. Introduction: Neuroanatomy is considered as difficult subject as it consists mostly of complicated microscopic structures. However, understanding of the subject structure is very important for nursing students to know its functions and dysfunctions for enhancing nursing practices. To date, teaching neuroanatomy relies heavily on illustrations and the most common way is by using PowerPoint slides, but teachers are often faced with dilemma on how to use illustrations effectively. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of different ways of presenting neuroanatomy illustrations in PowerPoint slides on nursing students’ short[1]term learning memory. Methods: The quasi-experimental study was conducted at Faculty of Nursing and Public Health, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan between June 2020 and November 2020 by comparing an Experimental (n= 70) and a Control group (n= 69) of first year nursing students for their ability to answer questions based on those seven-way slides. Independent sample t-test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Significant difference was found at 95% CI between the performance of the Experimental and Control groups regarding Way 1 (Sequencing of labels) and Way 6 (Magnifying from the original structure) of presentation (tWay 1(135.99) = 2.695, p= .008, d = .458, 95% CI = [0.059, .385]; tWay 6(135.61) = 2.351, p= .020, d = .399, 95% CI = .031, .355], respectively). Conclusions: The use of different ways like sequencing the labels and magnifying from the original structure of presenting illustration in PowerPoint slides are found to be helpful in increasing short[1]term memory in students.

Package learning is a way in the learning process in order to achieve the learning objectives to be achieved. In this research used quasi experimental design using 2x2 factorial. Students involved in this research were 60 students of special education study program, divided into 2 groups were experimental group treated using learning package and control group that was not treated by using textbook. The results obtained are 1). obtained Fcount value of 54,079 with Sig. 0.021. Because the value of Sig. <0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, it is concluded there is a difference between the learning outcomes between those using the Learning Package and those using textbooks. 2). Obtained Fcount value of 4.980 with Sig. 0.030. Because the value of Sig. <0,05 then H0 rejected and H1 accepted, hence concluded there is difference between result learn between student with high motivation and low motivation. 3). Obtained Fcount of 1.796 with Sig. 0.047. Because the value of Sig. <0,05 then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, hence concluded there is significant interaction between learning result between using Learning Package and textbook and difference of motivation in giving influence to result of learning Introduction of Education.
