 This study describes success factors and obstacles of implementation of 2013 Curriculum at Islamic Senior Schools (Madrasah Aliyah). This study used qualitative approach.  Data were collected using participatory observation, in-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion, and document analyses. Subject consisted of: school principal, vice principal, students, students’ parents, and school committee each of which was selected using snowball sampling techniques.  Data were triangulated using process of checking, recheck and cross-check.  The research revealed that: (1) success factors of implementation were: (a) completeness of curriculum infrastructure, (b) teacher competency, (c) principal leadership, (d) school facilities, (e) school environment and culture, and (f) effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation of curriculum inplementation;  (2) obstacles of implementation included: false perception upon new 2013 curriculum, and shorts implementation on  instructional design, classroom teaching, assessments, application of IT, teaching facilities and school management.

<p>This study aimed to determine the root of the problem of low quality and image of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran and also to define the strategie to improve the quality and to build the image of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran. This qualitative descriptive study used fishbone analysis and data collection used Focus Group Discussion (FGD), interviews, and study of document. The results showed that the root problem of low quality of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran were learners<br />had low ability, teachers provided less motivation of learning, the willingness of teachers to improve teaching skills were low, teachers were elderly, teachers did not plan learning activities by themselves, school principle had never participated in managerial training, non standard size of classrooms and the library had not been adequate. The root of the problem why the image of SDN Ungaran 02 and 04 were not good enough namely: the lack of academic supervition and extracurricular competent. Strategies to improve the quality and to build image of SDN 02 and 04 Ungaran were : a)implementing ongoing supervision by principle to raise teachers motivation, b)proposing for aid to the authorities both for the rehabilitation of classrooms and procurement of books, c) involving school committee in order to improve the school environment, and d) forming school developer team in academic achievement and extracurricular activities.</p>

Moral development is the most important thing in education, including in pesantren-based educational institutions. Moral development will be carried out properly if it is carried out in a planned and programmed manner. Moral Development Management for Students Through Extracurricular Activities in Islamic Boarding Schools is one of the best solutions in realizing commendable student morals. This research was conducted to see the extent to which moral development was carried out at Al-Amin Middle School and Al-Ittihad Middle School Cianjur. The theory that forms the basis of the research is the management theory of POAC, TQM, and Six Life Value Systems. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research findings show that: (1) The management of the moral development program through extracurricular activities is based on the commitment of teachers, parents, and program implementation. (2) The implementation of the moral development program is the most basic principle and serves as a differentiator for the progress and decline of the quality of SMP. This conformity shows that in practice the moral development program through extracurricular activities has not been carried out according to process standards. (3) Evaluation of activities and problems encountered through monitoring and evaluation of the process and achievement of SMP institution development goals. (4) In general, the inhibiting factors in program development, such as curriculum, budget allocation, facilities, and infrastructure. (5) Improvement Efforts, solving problems in quality improvement, one of which is by holding FGD (Focus Group Discussion), workshops, and others.

This research was descriptively aimed to find out how the implementation of environmental literacy in SD Negeri Bakalan Bantul was. This study was a qualitative approach, which was carried out at SD Negeri Bakalan Bantul by selecting the school principal as the key informant, then the school principal chose several fellow teachers and the teachers chose students as subjects or research samples. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself. The technique of determining the sample of data sources used snowball sampling. The results of the descriptive study indicated that the implementation of environmental literacy at SD Negeri Bakalan Bantul had been carried out well. The manifestation of environmental literacy implementation in these schools was through the development of the school learning curriculum, the development of the learning process, and the development of the health of the school environment. The implementation of environmental literacy at SD Negeri Bakalan Bantul encompassed the implementation of environmental literacy through school subjects, environmental health practices through farming and maintaining environmental cleanliness with classroom pickets and mutual cooperation, plastic waste processing and waste banks. Thus, the implementation of environmental literacy at SD Negeri Bakalan Bantul had been good, as it was proven with the award of adiwiyata school.


Islamic boarding school is one of the islamic educational institutions that grow fastly with diversity method in Indonesia This study is aimed to describe the effort to grow young entrepreneur at Islamic Boarding School al Ittifaq Ciwidey Bandung through agribusiness activity with a focus on student empowerment. The study was done at Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey Bandung by applying qualitative research approach. Informants were selected by means of purposive sampling and snowball sampling which were further classified into three groups (triangulation). Furthermore, data collection technic was conducted through in-depth interview, direct observation, documentation, and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Data analysis technic was performed using interactive model. Regarding the effort to grow young entrepreneurs, result of the study shows that student at al Ittifaq Ciwidey Bandung involve in agribusiness activities such as: (1) the formation of Executive Board of Agribusiness Unit, (2) conducting technical practices directly in the field, (3) establishing Agribusiness Incubation Center (PIA), (4) establishing cooperation/partnership with various institutions, and (5) setting up agribusiness groups of students

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan menemukan Budaya Suku Dani dalam mengimplementasikan program Keluarga Berencana dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya di Kabupaten Jayawijaya Provinsi Papua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif (Rapid Etnografi Assesment) dengan jumlah informan sebanyak enam belas orang (16). Pemilihan informan dengan cara snowball sampling, pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam (In-depth Interview), observasi, telaah dokumen, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Analisis data dengan menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga berencana dalam budaya Suku Dani yang telah dilaksanakan dan diaktualisasikan dalam kehidupan keseharian mereka dari turun temurun antara lain: kepercayaan dalam prinsip hidup; perkawinan menurut hukum adat (Inyagugi apik), nilai relasi (Nege), nilai membagi, nilai kesetiaan, nilai kerja (Yabu). Prinsip teguh dan patuh terhadap perintah adat telah dilaksanakan secara turun-temurun dengan sistem pemerintahan adat (Klen). Wesakun memimpin upacara-upacara adat keagamaan dengan menggunakan benda-benda keramat. Hukum adat yang dipraktekkan secara efektif memiliki hubungan langsung atau tidak langsung melalui prilaku pengambilan keputusan. Pandangan nilai anak dan jenis kelamin terhadap variabel antara yaitu usia pernikahan pertama dan pemilihan pasangan pada Masyarakat Suku Dani. Keterlibatan pemerintah dan lintas sektor dalam pengembangan peran serta masyarakat melakukan program dan komunikasi yang efektif tentang KB dan kependudukan merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dikembangkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pengaturan kelahiran dan kualitas SDM demi peningkatan kualitas hidup Masyarakat Suku Dani.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the actual condition of the students of University of Rajshahi (RU) regarding drug abuse and addiction. Using case study method the research was conducted with four objectives: (a) to find out how respondents began drug abuse; (b) to discover the causes of their drug addiction; (c) to understand the process of their drug abuse; and (d) to find out the economic, social and health effects of drug abuse. Methods: Case study method was used in this research. Through snowball sampling 18 drug- addicted students of RU were selected as respondents. In-depth interview with a schedule was used to collect data from the respondents in January 2019. Results: Findings of the study show that the causes of drug addiction included curiosity, frustration, friends’ request, neglect from family and friends etc. The drugs which they usually abused were Yaba, Phensydyle, Ganja (Weed), Chuani etc. Their average monthly expenditure for collecting drugs was in between Taka 8,000-10,000. They collected those drugs from rickshaw pullers at different points within the campus and from Mizaner Mor, Budhpara slum and other places outside the campus. The respondents opined that drugs were available if sufficient money could be spent. The respondents had senior and junior fellow students and local boys as companions while taking drugs. Most of them faced physical problems after taking drugs, and some of them tried to get rid of this curse of drug addiction. Conclusion: The findings of this research show that the rate of drug addiction among the students of RU was quite alarming. Therefore, all stakeholders including the students, guardians, teachers, university authority, the law makers and law enforcing agencies, researchers, civil society, NGO’s and the state must come forward together to combat this formidable foe.

There are several medical drug addict treatment methods used by physicians and other health professionals worldwide. The community-based treatment and care for drug use and dependence have increased in popularity. However, little is known about whether or how Islamic spirituality model could be incorporated into formal treatment in the Muslim community. This study aimed to explore the Islamic integrated model for drug addict treatment and rehabilitation on Kratom use among Muslim adolescents in Krabi Province, Thailand. The focus group discussion and in-depth interview were carried out in chief officer, the staff of treatment service volunteers, program leaders, and families and friends of addicts during October 2017-December 2018. The results revealed that the implementation of integrated Islamic religious learning in the drug therapy session to grow the spiritual religiosity and lower relapse among Muslim youth who were previous kratom addicts. The Islamic faith-based treatment model could be declared the evidence of kratom recovery in community level.

<p>Areas Based Economic Empowerment Program (Program Ekonomi Berbasis Kewilayahan/PEW) is a program designed to focus on the learning process and empowercommunities through local economic institutions to shore up the economy of thecommunity itself. This study aims to: 1). Knowing the PEW Group self-reliance inorganizing services to members in order to regionally based economic empowerment.2). Identifying the factors management, member participation and partnership thathinder or support the PEW Group self-reliance and self-reliance opportunities for effortsto develop a support group for regionally based economic empowerment, 3). Formula tepolicy recommendations for the city authorities to develop and implement a model ofselfreliance development PEW group as a regionally based economic empowerment strategy in the city of Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative research, the research took place in the townYogyakarta. The collecting data techniques used were: study documentation, participant, observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussion (FGD). In the first studywere: 1). Evaluating Performance PEW Group 2). Identify factors inhibiting andsupporting self-sufficiency Group 3). Self-Supporting analyze PEW Group 4). Early formulation compile policy recommendations group. The research development model of self-reliance. Year II study is 1). Self-Supporting Group to develop a model based onthe results of Phase I study 2). Validation conduct joint FGD Stakeholder Model through3). Develop Model Self-Supporting Implementation Handbook. Results showed that the level of self-reliance menilitian PEW group is still low. This isreflected in the level of independence that is still low, both in terms of independence inthe administration, self-reliance and independence in the management of the assets. PEW group of selfsufficiency level is still low, due to several factors, namely: (1) Capacity Board PEW Group is still low (2) The lack of participation of members of the Group, and (3) lack of stakeholder support. Another factor that still require serious treatment that can increase self-reliance PEW Group is a factor Assistance Group Implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation during implementation is still lacking.</p>

The objectives of research include; first, to describe what local Islamic working ethos are as the basis for the resilience of songkok, whip and slap handicraft businesses in Serah Panceng Gresik Village. Second, to describe the resilience of the songkok, whip and slap handicraft business in the village of Serah Panceng Gresik. This study is a qualitative-descriptive study with the aim of understanding the phenomena experienced by the subject of research including behavior, perception, motivation, and action holistically by utilizing various scientific methods. Data collection methods include; Observation, In-depth Interview or Focus Group Discussion, Documentation. Data analysis techniques include: processing and preparing data for analysis, reading the entire data, analyzing in more detail by coding data, considering detailed instructions that can help the coding process, giving descriptions that will be presented in the report, interpreting and interpreting data. The results showed that in Serah Village local Islamic working ethos were preserved by the community, such as alms giving, reading dziba', reading tahlil, attending haul akbar, and reading sholawat together every Friday. Although in the tradition it does not involve songkok, whip, and slap directly, there is a good impact to support the resilience of songkok, but not whip, and slap production. Religious rituals by praying together asking Allah to facilitate and carry out business in production songkok, whip, and slap are an expression of gratitude for what God gave to the people of Serah Village. All economic activity done by Serah community is meant to get God’s willing. Keywords: Islamic Working Ethos, Handicraft Businesses

In this article the author will explain the administration of facilities and infrastructure in the school environment. Facilities and infrastructure administration is one of the most important things in education. All activities in schools will require facilities and infrastructure, both directly and indirectly so that they will support the course of the learning process of education.Administration of facilities and infrastructure is very supportive of achieving educational goals. The positive and negative educational environment depends on maintaining the school facilities and infrastructure. Maintenance and management of infrastructure must be managed properly, but there are still some that have not been implemented optimally. Therefore, the author intends to make this article so that it can be used as a reference in managing educational facilities and infrastructure.
