<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>The skill of asking open-ended questions is one of the most important skills in counseling. </em><em>Asking the right questions may help a counselor to understand the counselee's situation. This study aims to reveal the errors in asking open-ended questions during the implementation of individual counseling conducted by  27 fourth-semester students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Training, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Bukittinggi. The research was conducted through a quantitative approach. This research found that there were some common errors made by students when using open-ended questions; they were 1) 70.37% of students used open-ended questions that were not coherent, 2) 66% of students used open-ended questions “why” in their question, 3) 40.74% used repeated open-ended questions that have the same meaning, 4) 29.62% used open-ended questions that did not in line with the context, 5) 14.81% students used open-tailed questions, 6) 11.11% students used 2 open-ended questions simultaneously at the same time, and 7) there were 11.11% who did not use open-ended questions at all during the counseling process</em></p><div><em><br /></em></div><div><p style="text-align: justify;">Bertanya adalah salah satu keterampilan yang paling penting dalam proses konseling. Pengajuan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang tepat dapat membantu konselor memahami situasi konseli, alasan konseli menemui konselor, harapan-harapan konseli, dan informasi-informasi yang relevan dengan situasi yang dihadapi oleh konseli saat itu. Keterampilan menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka merupakan salah satu dari keterampilan bertanya yang penting tersebut. Penelitian ini berupaya mengungkapkan pertanyaan-pertanyaan terbuka yang digunakan oleh 27 orang mahasiswa semester IV Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Institut Agama Islam Negeri Bukittinggi dalam pelaksanaan konseling individual. Secara spesifik penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan kesalahan-kesalahan penggunaan pertanyaan terbuka dalam konseling individual yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Melalui penelitian ini diperoleh informasi bahwa, terdapat beberapa kesalahan umum yang dilakukan mahasiswa pada saat menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka yaitu 1) 70,37% mahasiswa menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka yang tidak runtut, 2) 66% mahasiswa menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka dengan kata tanya mengapa, 3) 40,74% menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka yang berulang dengan makna sama, 4) 29,62 % menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka yang tidak sesuai konteks, 5) 14,81% mahasiswa menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka mengekor, 6) 11,11% mahasiswa menggunakan sekaligus 2 pertanyaan terbuka dalam waktu yang sama, dan 7) terdapat 11,11 persen yang sama sekali tidak menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka selama proses konseling.</p></div>

Successfully optimizing the right and left sides of the brain can help to improve intelligence, logic and social intelligence. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the brain gym game in optimizing the right and left sides of students’ brains. A quantitative approach was used with a pretest/posttest design. Random sampling was used to recruit participants and the sample consisted of 53 students at XI MIPA Senior High School. The results showed that the brain gym game was effective in optimizing students’ right and left sides of the brain. Based on these results, innovation is recommended that contributes to the novelty of guidance and counseling media using the brain gym game to reflect on the functions of students’ right and left sides of the brain. Cultural empathy is the ability to feel what another person by an individual or a community group. Culture of others became the foundation behave in every interaction that exists. Empathy has the potential to transform differences into mutual understanding and deep understanding. Similarly, in guidance and counseling, a counselor absolutely have skills in counseling, one of which he must have a sense of empathy. Therefore, empathy is very important, both for educators and for counselors, especially for counselors, provide a sense of comfort to the counselee as if a counselor was feeling what counselees feel and recognize themselves in more depth. As for cultural empathy in counseling is very important for the counseling process is a process aid through the interaction between two individuals of different cultural backgrounds. One problem that often arises is the lack of empathy in communication that could lead to a misunderstanding in interaction. Whereas, the purpose of cultural empathy is to gather information and to establish a therapeutic alliance. This study aims to investigate and describe the cultural empathy in students. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods, instrument using a questionnaire and the sample was 83 students of UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung. The findings of this research is cultural empathy of student UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung categorized as being with an average by score of 83.84.

During in COVID-19 pandemic, counselors switched the face-to-face counseling process to online counseling or in terms of guidance and counseling, namely cyber counseling. The application of cyber counseling services can be the right solution when psychological problems require immediate resolution. This cyber counseling service can also be applied by education counselors. This research was conducted to determine the application of cyber counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the counseling process and media used by counselors. The method used in this research a literature study. The results show that the cyber counseling process is almost the same as the face-to-face counseling process, but several things need to be considered, such as the preparation stage which includes the availability of supporting and adequate hardware and software. Furthermore, the media used by cyber counseling can be in the form of applications, websites, telephones, chat what apps and video conferencing, and other social media. The advantages of cyber counseling can be accessed anywhere and in an adjustable time, the counselor can reach a wider range of counselees. Counselees and counselors can carry out the counseling process when and where by mutual agreement, although in the counseling process it is sometimes without signs and physical the counselee is easier to express thoughts and feelings. The weakness is that the diagnosis is less accurate and the intervention is less effective because the instructions and directions are given are less specific and non-verbal information becomes difficult to provide. NEED ASSESSMENT ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS TO ACADEMIC ADVISOR SERVICES IN COLLEGE. The aim of this study is to assess the needs service of Academic Advisory provides guidance for students. Research also aim to found the barriers or obstacles encountered academic adviser in providing academic guidance services. This research use quantitative approach with questionare of Academic Advisory Service, interview the students and Academic Advisory Service, and documentary study. Sample in this research are students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program and lecture who have the task as Academic Advisory in Study Program of Guidance and Counseling. This research found that the Academic Advisory has giving all indicator service based on Statuta of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University and Standar Operational Procedur Academic Advisory Service. But, there are seceral obstacles or constraints faced by the Advisory Academic in the service of student guidance, such as time limitation od Advisory Academic, imbalance in the ratio between the number of Advisory Academid and discipline of students in following the schedule of academic guidance.

This research implies the concept of behavioral approach in dealing with in disciplinary behavior in students of divorce victims. Behavior itself is one of the guidance in guidance and counseling to overcome maladaptive behavior toward adaptive. Behavioral approach is the right approach to handle undisciplined students in school. So that students are able to perform their duties well in school, without experiencing obstacles. This undisciplined behavior is influenced by one of the factors of internal student problems, which tend to be from a student's background due to a divorce. The research method using qualitative descriptive approach by emphasizing on direct plunge. Furthermore, if the assessment has been done, then the planning can be implemented to the counseling process. Started contract counseling, relaxation, modeling, reward and punishment until the follow-up phase.

The implementation of industrial practices is expected to improve skills, verbal abilities, and can provide creative ideas for students in developing skills that have been raised to create the right innovation. This research aims to determine the implementation of industrial attachment for the students of machining study program, and the influence of industrial attachment on the students’ hard skill. This research used ex-post facto method with a quantitative approach. The subjects were class XII students of machining study program with a total sample of 98 students. Data were collected using questionnaire and documentation. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product moment correlation and simple regression analysis. Results show that the implementation of industrial attachment for students of machining study program is categorized as ‘high’ (69,38% in average), and  that there is as a positive and significant effect on the students’ hard skill.Pelaksanaan praktik industri diharapkan mampu meningkatan keterampilan, kemampuan verbal, dan dapat memberikan ide-ide kreatif bagi siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan yang telah dimilikinya untuk membuat inovasi produk tepat guna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  keterlaksanaan praktik industri siswa Teknik Pemesinan, dan  pengaruh praktik industri terhadap hard skill siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek  penelitian  adalah siswa kelas XII  program keahlian Teknik Pemesinan dengan jumlah sampel 98 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dengan metode kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment dari Pearson dan dilakukan uji analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan praktik industri siswa teknik pemesinan rata-rata temasuk kedalam kategori tinggi 69,38%, dan praktik industri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hard skill siswa. Hubungan yang diperoleh adalah semakin tinggi tingkat pelaksanaan praktik industri, maka semakin tinggi pula hard skill-nya dan bidang pekerjaan memiliki pengaruh tinggi terhadap nilai praktik industri siswa teknik pemesinan

Industry 4.0 revolution, with its cutting-edge technologies, is an enabler for businesses, particularly in reducing the cost and improving the productivity. However, a large number of organizations are still too in their infancy to leverage the true potential of Industry 4.0 and its technologies. This paper takes a quantitative approach to reveal key insights from the companies that have implemented Industry 4.0 technologies. For this purpose, 238 technology companies in Malaysia were studied through a survey questionnaire. As technology companies are usually the first in line to adopt new technologies, they can be studied better as leaders in adopting the latest technologies. The findings of this descriptive study surfaced an array of insights in terms of Industry 4.0 readiness, Industry 4.0 technologies, leadership, strategy, and innovation. This research paper contributes by providing 10 key empirical insights on Industry 4.0 that can be utilized by managers to pace up their efforts towards digital transformation, and can help the policymakers in drafting the right policy to drive the digital revolution.

This article contains a description of tolerance in students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cimahi. The method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data collection using tolerance instruments. The research sample consisted of 120 students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cimahi and 64 students identified who were affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah religious organizations. The results of this study are first that the tolerance of students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cimahi is in the high category. Second, profiles of the aspect of tolerance consist of aspects of equality, respect for differences, and peace. Third, the results of the t-test indicate that there is no significant difference in the tolerance of students who are affiliated with the religious organizations of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah. The results of this study can be used as consideration for developing peace counseling and developing multicultural guidance and counseling program in Madrasah.

Guidance and Counseling Workshop on Strengthening Character Education in Guidance and Counseling Services for Junior Secondary Guidance and Counseling Teachers in Tabalong Regency was carried out to prepare guidance and counseling teachers who were capable of implementing guidance and counseling services in strengthening character education based on operational guidance and counseling in schools, by the Guidance and Counseling Guidelines for Primary and Secondary Education issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The workshop was held one day, namely on August 26, 2019, with 37 participants. Technically, the implementation of the workshop takes place in 5 stages of activities, namely registration; lectures; sharing experiences; and questions and answers practicum. Resource persons for the workshop activities were lecturers in the guidance and counseling study program. Based on the implementation of this service, it can be concluded that guidance and counseling teachers have an essential role in strengthening character education by using guidance and counseling services based on the Operational Guidance and Counseling Implementation Guidelines. Therefore, it is suggested to be followed up into technical guidance activities in implementing guidance and counseling services with a more specific activity agenda; and become a preliminary study in making guidance and counseling service modules for strengthening character education based on Operational Guidance for Guidance and Counseling Implementation.

<p>Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 3 of 2020, entitles students to 3 semesters of study outside their study program. Through the Free Learning Policy - Independent Campus program, students have wide opportunity to be able to choose the learning method and place they want which is believed to be able to enrich and increase their insight and competence in the real world according to their passion and aspirations. The "Free Learning, Independent Campus" policy was initiated by the Minister of Education and Culture which includes 1) opening of new study programs, 2) higher education accreditation system, 3) freedom to become State universities with legal status, and 4) the right to study three semesters outside the study program. In planning a foundation structure, calculations must be included regarding the bearing capacity of the soil, soil stability, bearing capacity of the foundation and stability of the foundation, all of which are based on empirical and mathematical calculations. This research was conducted to analyze the level of student mastery of the Foundation Design course. With primary data collection in the form of questionnaires distributed to students of Civil Engineering, Banten Jaya University semester 7 (seven). One of the results of the research shows that students who take part in the apprenticeship program / practical work in projects with foundation work, but have not mastered the theory, most of them cannot plan and design the structure of the foundation (45 people = 84, 91%).</p>
