Pacet Subdistrict is one of the areas in Bandung Regency that applies the concept of Rice-fish farming. Rice-fish farming uses some different inputs with monoculture farming because this farming requires more production factor costs. Various aspects can be reviewed in research on rice-fish farming, especially economic aspects because it is very closely related to community welfare and ecological benefits. The potential of rice-fish farming has been widely studied, but the analysis of income and sustainability status of the farm is not known more detailed yet. Therefore, this study aims: (1) Analyzing the patterns of rice-fish farming, (2) Analyzing the income of rice-fish farming in Pacet Subdistrict, Bandung Regency, and (3) Knowing the value of the sustainability index of rice-fish farming in Pacet Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. The methods that used in this study are descriptive analysis, income analysis, and Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS). The results showed that the rice-fish farming pattern basically had similarities with monoculture farming, but one of the different is in the land processing process which consists of making caren activities for living fish. The receipts earned on rice-fish farming are Rp 21.716.560,0 per hectare per planting season. Rice-fish farmers earn income from cash costs with a value of Rp 9.180.524,1 and income from total costs Rp 7.888.605,6. The value of the R/C ratio for cash costs is 1,73 and R/C for total costs is 1,57. The sustainability index of rice-fish farming is 54,88 which indicates a fairly sustainable status. Keywords: MDS, income, farming pattern, rap rice-fish, rice-fish farming

Strawberry (Fragaria sp.)  is a type of fruit that has high economic value. An to increase the income of strawberry farmers is by intercropping with leek. To understand the efficiency of the farming the by using production input. This research aims to 1) analyze the effect of the use of production factors, 2) analyze the level of efficiency in the use of production factors, and 3) to analyze the profit level of intercropping strawberries-leek in Serang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency. There are 35 samples obtained using simple random sampling. The analysis was performed using the Cobb Douglass production function analysis, the NPM / BKM ratio and farm income analysis. The results of this research were the use of production factors, seed; area; labor; and insecticides partially affected the production of intercropping strawberries, while the production factors of chicken-husk fertilizer; NPK-Phonska fertilizer; other fertilizers; and fungicides had no effect on the production of intercropping strawberries. The production factors for seeds; labor; and insecticides have an NPM-BKM ratio value greater than one where the use of these inputs is not efficient. Meanwhile, the production factor for land area has an NPM-BKM ratio value of less than one where the use of these inputs is not efficient. R / C for cash costs was 4.61 and R / C for total costs was 1.09. The R / C value for both cash costs and total costs has a value greater than one, so the strawberry and leek intercropping farming in Serang Village can be said to be profitable.

The solution that can be done by the community is to build a rice-fish farming innovation village. This study aims to analyze rice-fish farming in terms of social and economic aspects and to analyze the factors that influence the success of the rice-fish farming innovation village for food security and community welfare. This research was conducted from October to December 2020 in Samberembe, Candibinangun Village, Sleman District, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research approach used a mixed-method, with data analysis using business analysis, descriptive analysis, and prospective analysis. The results showed that an integrated rice-farming program can increase farmers’ income up to IDR 35 million per 1,000 m per year and changing the socio-technical at every phase of cultivation. The success of the rice-fish farming innovation village can be realized with the following key factors (1) a good technical irrigation system, (2) a continuous supply of superior fish seeds, (3) strengthening of rice-fish farming innovation technology, and (4) strengthening of pest eradication technology (beaver). This key factor can be considered as a national scale reference for the development of the rice-fish farming innovation village. The implication of the study is to create a superior and sustainable village that can improve community food security and local economy growth.

This article provides an estimate of the human capital value of migration to Reading in the period 1851-1871 to the town's economy. This is determined by estimating total net migration to the town across this period by age and sex and assigning all migrants a value for expected lifetime economic output less expected lifetime consumption costs. The final figures are contextualised by comparison with the value of social overhead capital used to fund significant local infrastructure projects in the same time period and show that, from a human capital perspective, the value of migration to Reading was very significant. This article thus addresses significant historiographical gaps in the study of Victorian labour migration to southern provincial towns and provides an original perspective to studies of the economic value of migration and its role in the growth of such communities.

AbstractWe propose an improved method to assess the economic value of unpaid housework and childcare. Existing literature has typically assigned a minimum, generalist or specialist’s wage, or the performer’s opportunity cost to the hourly value of these activities. Then it was used to calculate macro-level value based on the number of hours spent in this work. In this paper, instead of imputing an average or minimum wage for housework and childcare to determine a value to the work, we use the actual local wage rate requested for these services from providers on online platforms. Applying this method to Austrian Time Use Survey data shows that the value of unpaid childcare and housework, had it been paid, would be equivalent to about 22% of the 2018 GDP.

The economic value of volunteering is an increasingly important part of volunteering management. It has become part of public policies. Some requests for proposals (RFP) enable nonprofits to include the value of volunteer time in compulsory co-financing. These RFP include the European Economic Area (EEA) Grants and Norway Grants. This article addresses the relationship in the value of volunteering, also called in-kind volunteering contributions. The research includes two case studies of finances from EEA and Norway Grants in the Czech Republic: the Czech NGO Programme, responsible for allocating grants between 2009 and 2014, and the Active Citizens Fund, responsible for allocating grants between 2014 and 2021. They share elements through the EEA and Norway Grants rules. However, they use different types of specialist replacement wages. The article summarizes the arguments for including in-kind volunteering contributions. It presents the possible values of these contributions in the selected cases, including the relationship between the type of volunteering and the number of hours necessary to achieve these values. The article defines the theoretical basis for calculating the value of in-kind volunteer contributions and illustrates this with real examples of allocations from EEA and Norway Grants.
