Tofu is an Indonesian traditional food which basically made from soybean. Tofu production process yields both solid and liquid wastes. If these are not handled properly, they may cause environmental contamination. Therefore, clean production planning needs to be conducted in order to bringout an environmental friendly industry for increasing productivity, increasing efficiency of raw materials and reducing wastes. This research was conducted at the tofu processing industry UD. Sumber Urip by collecting data through field observation, interview, questionnaire filling and 3 (three) stages of quick scan method which consists of identifing the production process of tofu based on the concept of clean production through the mass balance, analysing the alternative clean production improvements, observating and giving recommendations on waste utilization. The result shows that the tofu production process with clean production through the mass balance produced 210 kg dregs of tofu and 2.115,51 kg total liquid wastes. The research also proposes some alternative improvements of clean production as the implementation of good housekeeping principle, modification of funnel principle grinding, utilization of  personal protective equipment, and implementation of recovery and reduce principle. On the other hand the wastes generated from the tofu production process may be reproduced in to tempe gembus, animal feed, organic fertilizer, and biogas.

The art of chisel mask is developed in Tumpang Malang area as part of dance costume fairs, puppet show andcultural ritual, although in its development, this mask sculpture is also sold and become a tourism commodity. The potentialsales of mask sculptures is increasing, especially because of the demanders are foreign tourists, cultural enthusiasts andcomponent of tourism activities. That is, Topeng Malangan has the potential to be developed as an export commodity. Thesales system is still limited to cultural events or when there is a visit of education and tourism to the arts-padepokan. Thisprompted some people around the padepokan to start a home industry to meet the availability of the mask. In general, theproblems encountered by the craftsmen are (1) availability of raw materials, especially for suitable wood species, (2)production equipment, especially for pre-carving process and preservation of product, (3) there is no standard marketingscheme, (4) does not have a business management system, and (5) highly skilled craftsmen are still very limited. The solutionsoffered are divided into three stages: (1) technological strengthening, including strengthening production process technologyand increasing the number of craftsmen; (2) establishing business management; and (3) establishing trademarks, copyrightsand product marketing expansions

PT. XYZ is one of the animal feed companies which has some of the largest production units in Indonesia. This Feed Company has several brands of products on the market. The company's production line is indicated to have a problem, namely product defects. Defective products caused by the production process and also the process of storing raw materials and finished materials in the company. Related to the six sigma in it has a phase of define, measure, analyze, improve and control phases, is chosen to overcome the existing problems. From the define, measure and analyze phase, it is known that there are significant defects, namely defects with flea attributes in the production process, textures, lumps, and ticks in the inventory. From the results of the RPN assessment, it is known that tick defects on the production line are valued at 168, text 105 and ticks in the production process 90 so that from the results of the assessment the RPN is given recommendations for improvement with consideration of the highest RPN value. The recommended improvement recommendations are the installation of blowers and air temperature regulators in the company's storage section, conduct a design of experiment in stages to select the best raw materials by considering the quality problems of the products produced and thirdly, the improvement of the cleaning schedule in the cooler, spoting and also rotex on production machines to minimize the cause of defects.

Abstract Clean production is an activity to increase efforts to handle the waste of an industry. The purpose of this research is to identify the production process, to know the waste generated and to design a clean production that will reduce the waste generated. This research was conducted in a bakery located in Kota Baru, precisely on Jalan Prof. M. Yamin, Kota Baru, Pontianak. The research begins by identifying the general condition of the industry, then identifying the production process and problems in the industry and continuing with the analysis of appropriate clean production alternatives. The recommended clean production is the utilization of eggshell waste into organic fertilizer and handling plastic waste by giving the waste to the nearest waste bank. Keywords: bread industry, clean production, egg shell, minimation of waste Abstrak Produksi bersih adalah kegiatan untuk meningkatkan upaya penanganan limbah suatu industri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi proses produksi, mengetahui limbah yang dihasilkan dan rancangan produksi bersih yang akan mengurangi limbah yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di toko roti yang berlokasi di Kota Baru, tepatnya di Jalan Prof. M. Yamin, Kota Baru, Pontianak. Penelitian diawali dengan mengidentifikasi kondisi umum industri, selanjutnya dilakukan identifikasi proses produksi dan masalah pada industri serta dilanjutkan dengan analisis alternatif produksi bersih yang tepat. Produksi bersih yang disarankan berupa pemanfaatan limbah kulit telur menjadi pupuk organik serta menangani limbah plastik dengan cara memberikan limbah tersebut ke bank sampah terdekat. Kata Kunci: industri roti, kulit telur, minimasi limbah, produksi bersih

Discourse on green construction and sustainable development is currently a major topic in everywhere, including Indonesia. In every production activities, the manufacturing process always produces waste or residual production. In connection with the issue of sustainable development, certainly, the problem of waste utilization that frequently occur in the industrial sector should be minimized and handled so that no adverse impact to the environment. The interior design enterprise is one of the creative industries which is mostly using wood as a raw materials, waste generated from this manufacturing is not in small amount. The community service was collaborated with two interior design enterprises, namely CV Abstrak 3D and CV Garis Pratama, both located in Kendari and classified as a small enterprises. The main activity was to given assistance on the production process-based eco-design, which is a production process that applies the principles of environmentally friendly in every process. Environmentally friendly starting from the identification phase, production, waste processing, until the marketing phase. Through this community service, an increase in productivity as well as knowledge were achieved by both of partners. ABSTRACT RT 04 Sematang Borang Village has utilized a biogas installation to process cow manure into both solid and liquid organic fertilizer and also produce biogas. The biogas fermentation process and organic fertilizer processing experienced problems due to the grass within the cow manure entering the digester, which was caused by a leak in the digester cover and the low quality of organic fertilizer produced in the outlet tub. This community service activity aims to treat waste raw materials so that the fermentation process can take place optimally. The presence of animal feed or grass in the inlet tub will interfere with the fermentation process and cause the digester lid to leak. In the implementation of this community service program, the focus is on improving the digester and adding tools to aid the process of separating cow dung raw materials so that the fermentation process can be optimized. The biogas formation process requires an airtight, oxygen-free, or anaerobic (closed) space. Treatment is done by separating cow manure raw materials from feed grass by using a filter to produce good raw materials in the biogas fermentation process. So that cow manure that enters the digester can be fermented optimally. Keywords: Biogas; Digester; Fermentation; Cow Manure   ABSTRAK RT 04 Kelurahan Sematang Borang, sudah menggunakan instalasi biogas yang gunanya untuk mengolah kotoran ternak sapi menjadi pupuk organik padat dan cair serta juga menghasilkan biogas. Proses fermentasi biogas dan pengolahan pupuk organik ini mengalami kendala yang disebabkan rumput kotoran sapi yang masuk ke dalam digester yang disebabkan oleh bocornya tutup digester serta belum maksimalnya kualitas pupuk organik yang dihasilkan pada bak outlet rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk  melakukan treatment pada bahan baku limbah sehingga proses fermentasi dapat berlangsung optimal. Adanya pakan ternak atau rumput di dalam bak inlet akan mengganggu proses fermentasi dan menyebabkan tutup digester bocor. Pada kegiatan pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini difokuskan pada perbaikan digester dan penambahan alat untuk proses pemisahan bahan baku kotoran sapi agar proses fermentasi lebih maksimal. Proses pembentukan biogas membutuhkan ruang yang kedap udara, tanpa oksigen atau anaerob (tertutup). Perlakuan pengolahan (treatment) dengan pemisahan bahan baku kotoran sapi dengan rumput pakan dengan menggunakan alat penyaring untuk menghasilkan bahan baku yang baik pada proses fermentasi biogas. Sehingga kotoran sapi yang masuk ke dalam digester dapat difermentasi secara maksimal. Kata kunci: Biogas; Digester; Fermentasi; Kotoran Sapi

In connection with the Environment Minister regulation number 10 year 2010 about the Mechanism of Pollution Prevention and Environment and Life Damage chapter II, Article 3 (1) said that all of business and activities that use the forest or land should implement  land clearing without burning (LCWB) and is expected that all participating land preparation activities to implement these policies. This study was conducted to determine the level of community perception on LCWB and the land waste utilization by the community in Gambut Sub-district, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The results showed that 15 respondent (49.83%) already knew about land clearing without burning. Low level of community participation is caused by community understanding about CLBW still low. About 64 % of respondents was included in the good category because the community has an interest to cultivate a waste from land clearing to decrease environment contamination.  About 60 % of the community thought that LCWB waste can be used for various purposes. Waste types which usually utilize by community was grass and rice husks.  The wastes were used as organic fertilizer and animal feed without further processing.

A significant group of inedible by-products from industrial slaughterhouses that can be used as a raw material for processing into quality feed for pigs and pets are byproducts of slaughtered poultry. The poultry industry yields a large amount of inedible byproducts of which the removal or processing requires hygienic and economic solutions. These activities primarily include the protection of the environmental from degradation processes and biological pollution, as well as securing high-protein animal feed. The incorporation of inedible slaughtered poultry by-products into food for animals involves the application of various technological processes. These processes should be simple and feasible for investments where it is necessary to obtain a quality product. At the same time, it must be taken into account that the production process does not create new secondary products or waste gases that could contaminate the environment. Scientific knowledge in the field of exploitation of inedible slaughtered poultry by-products provides the necessary basis for calculating the amount of certain types of raw materials.

The article raises the problem of ensuring metrological traceability of the measurement results of indicators of quality and nutritional value for food products and food raw materials: water (moisture), nitrogen (protein, crude protein), fat, ash and carbohydrates. The problem under consideration can be solved by applying reference materials of food composition, traceable to state primary measurement standards GET 173-2017 and GET 176-2019 and primary reference measurement procedures (PRMP), for attestation of measurement procedures and accuracy checking of measurement results. The article discusses the results of the PRMP development of mass fraction of fat, ash and carbohydrates in food products and food raw materials, as well as mass fraction of crude fat (oil content) in oil crops seeds and products based on them. The paper also presents metrological characteristics of reference materials of composition of dry dairy products, grain-milk dry porridges for nutrition of babies, grain dry porridges for nutrition of babies, egg powder, freeze-dried meat products, animal feed. The results of the work allow for building a chain of metrological traceability from GET 173-2017, GET 176-2019 and PRMP to routine measurement procedures, thereby ensuring the uniformity of measurements of nutritional value of food products.

Organic materials that are generally used as raw material for organic fertilizer granules (POG) is a natural organic material that has been degrade, smooth and dry. One of the main raw materials are always used with a very high percentage of usage, is manure. Manure potential in Indonesia is very high, amounting to 113.6 million tons per year, or 64.7 million tons per year to the island of Java. From this amount, it will be generated numbers POG production potential of 17.5 million tons per year (total Indonesia) or 9.9 million tons per year for the island of Java. While the realistic POG production predictions figures made from raw manure is 2.5 million tons annually, a figure that has been unable to meet the number requirement of POG greater than 4 million tons per year. Therefore, in producing POG, it should be to maximize the using of the potential of other organic materials so that the use of manure can be saved. With the use of a small amount of manure (maximum 30% for cow manure), it would be useful also to avoid the production of POG with high Fe content.keywods: organic material, manure, granule organic fertilizer

Knowledge of animal feed and waste is an important component in building the livestock industry. The aspectof availability of feed and the production of livestock waste is one of the problems by cattle farmers in MattirowalieVillage, Libureng Sub-District, Bone Regency. Efforts to increase the capacity of farmers in solving these problems areneeded to increase the productivity of their livestock. This program aims to increase knowledge for farmers of beef cattlein processing agricultural and livestock waste into feed products and processing them into organic fertilizer. This activityis an implementation of the Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Unhas (PPMU) Program Kemitraan Masyarakat(PKM). This activity was carried out in Mattirowalie Village, Libureng Sub-District, Bone Regency. The partner groupsinvolved as targets were the "Kurusumange" and "Masempo Dalle" farmers group (FG). The number of trainingparticipants involved in this activity is approximately 25 peoples, overall were cattle farmers with 2-3 cattle/person. Theimplementation of technology introduction programs was carried out in the form of training programs and technologyassistance. Several technology packages that have been implemented were: 1) ammoniation technology, 2) complete feedsilage fermentation technology, 3) manufacturing of local microorganism (LM) technology and 4) Urea Molasses Block(UMB) manufacturing technology. The results of the implementation of activities to increase the capacity of partnermembers in processing agricultural waste and livestock into alternative animal feed and organic fertilizer
