Effect of COVID-19 on educational institution has interrupted the traditional method of teaching and learning which ultimately created the demand of online class. In this background, study aim was to find out the perception of students towards online-class during COVID-19 pandemic. The study was based on descriptive research design. The study was carried out by using the structured questionnaire survey, and self-administered online Google firm was developed to collect the data. The data were collected from 109 students of two colleges; one public and one private college. The reliability test of collected data was checked by calculating the Cronbach’s Alpha value. Frequency, percentage, and mean was used to analyze the data. Finding of the study revealed that 81.7% students adopted online class first time in their learning career. However, majority of respondents felt confident to use online-class function and adopt content. Similarly, 58.1% respondents reported that they faced the technical problem during Online-class, more than 59% respondents believed that online class was one of the easiest platforms to share the knowledge and collect the required information. Most of the respondents intended to use online-class platform to enhance their learning and communication skill. One of the main benefits of online class was that it has saved the students from risk of transmission of COVID-19 and contributed to the regularity of teaching and learning of college. Considering such critical time, colleges should provide the adequate knowledge of Information Technology (IT) to their students and teachers to enhance their technical skill.

Ministry of Education in Malaysia has urged the implementation of 21st-century learning starting from 2014 to fulfil the needs of education in Malaysia. The use of gadgets in learning is normal in this century but to some rural schools in Malaysia. This study was conducted to identify the teachers’ perception towards play-based learning using gadgets in rural preschool in the Kapit Division of Sarawak. This study focused on 3 important aspects which are the usage of gadgets and their effects in teaching and learning, and the challenges faced by the preschool teachers in using gadgets during their teaching and learning process. The samples of this descriptive research involved 40 teachers from Song and Kapit districts in Sarawak. The research instrument used for this study was a structured questionnaire which consisted of 10 items using five points Likert scale. The reliability coefficient value of Alpha Cronbach is 0.65. The data was analysed using SPSS to get the frequency and percentage values. It showed that preschool teachers have positive perceptions towards play-based learning using gadgets in preschools. Despite that, using gadgets in play-based learning has some cons such as students’ unfamiliarity with using gadgets and poor internet coverage in rural areas. This study enables preschool teachers to vary their teaching methods and approaches to ensure their students have an equal education as those who are in the urban area.

Background: Breast milk is the complete nutrition for the babies during first 6 months of life. It is very important to feed the baby with breast milk during that crucial period of growth. Unavailability of breast milk can put the baby in life threatening conditions. In order to resolve the problem and to improve the mortality rate of neonates, nurses should have up to date information regarding the breast milk and its storage. Aim of this study was to assess the knowledge of nurses regarding importance of human milk and milk banking.Methods: Quantitative, descriptive research approach was used to assess the knowledge of 150 purposively selected nurses working in obstetric, gynae and pediatric wards in selected hospitals of Punjab by using socio-demographic sheet and self-structured questionnaire. Both descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used for the analysis of data.Results: Study findings revealed that majority of nurses 66% have adequate knowledge regarding importance of human milk and milk banking. Knowledge of nurses regarding importance of human milk and milk banking is significantly associated with working department.Conclusions: Study concluded that knowledge of nurses regarding importance of human milk and milk banking is satisfactory. But for the further improvement in knowledge of nurse’s in-service programs should be provided to them after regular intervals of time. So that they perform their work efficiently.

This study examined Dynamism of instructional aids on teaching of Physical Education among secondary school in Kogi State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design of survey type was used. The population for this study consist all Secondary School students within the study area. Purposive and random sampling techniques were used to select 394 respondents. Researcher–structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by three lectures in the department of Human Kinetics Education, University of Ilorin and tested for reliability. A correlation coefficient of 0.85 was obtained. The administration of the instrument was done by the researchers. The data collected were analysed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) and percentage count. The results revealed that, there was a significant relationship between behavioural benefits and cognitive benefits of instructional aids on teaching of Physical Education among Secondary Schools. The study concluded that uses of instructional aids are significant to quality teaching of physical education in schools. The study recommends that effective uses of instructional aids plays a significant role in teaching and learning of Physical Education in schools which also enhance the behavioural and cognitive benefits of the students.

Teaching EFL nowadays confronts a technical problem of having non face to face meeting. Amongst the four skills in teaching EFL, speaking still be the trend in language research especially in emergency remote teaching. This study revealed teaching speaking and the teacher`s role for EFL Learner in non-English department class. The data were taken from online interview, self-written and observation. The research was taken on online class of Speech Therapy students which undergo on the online class group. The results showed that teaching speaking using video and voice note as media for teaching and learning successfully made the process occur effectively and meaningfully. The use of video stimulate students’ interest and motivation in learning the materials. Moreover, voice note be an effective media in practicing speaking, giving feedback and discussing. The result contributed to teachers and other researchers for selecting the suitable media in teaching and practicing speaking amidst the emergency remote teaching.

Primigravida, particularly women who are pregnant for the first time, are generally unaware of Lamaze breathing and its benefits. The purpose of this study was to analyse Primigravida moms' knowledge of Lamaze breathing in Bhopal's designated hospitals. This study was conducted using a descriptive research approach. The study's target population was primigravida, and the sample method was purposive sampling. A total of 50 people were included in the study. The knowledge of primigravida about Lamaze breathing was assessed using a self-structured questionnaire, and the study findings revealed that knowledge of Lamaze breathing was inadequate. It is therefore important to educate antenatal mothers about simple but useful breathing exercises to reduce pain perception and promote comfort during labour.

Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) is one of oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia. As an as an educational insttitution, pesantren plays an important role in bulding and empowering Islamic intellectual tradition. In this case, Pesantren can historically be regarded as one of most effective institutions in producing kitab. Most kitab composed by Kyai (pesantren leader, central figure, or ustad) are commonly written with Arabic letters whether in Javaness, Malay, or other local languages focusing on wider fields of Islamic studies. Based on the variety of kitab produced by Pesantren, so it is necessary to identify and classify it in a systemic order. This article attempts to classify the work of pesantren scholars in a broader range of typologies, namely the field of study, the type of language, the type of script, the form of writing, the type of essay, the type of writing, the type of paper, the use, the publisher, to the scope of its spread. Descriptive research is done through the exploration and content analysis of the works of scholars in pesantrens. This decscriptive research conducted at 12 pesantren in Yogyakarta, highlights some important findings. First, the kitab (or works) which were written in various forms are in the form of original works, translations, summaries, sarah, admonitions and excerpts. Second, most of the works of the pesantren are used by the general public and as teaching materials in pesantren. Third, most of old and contemporary works are still used up to now with diverse uses ranging from national, regional and local scope. Fourth, the 276 books and other scientific works of ulemas in Yogyakarta, viewed from its contents, cover a variety of subjects ranging from Islamic jurisprudence, system of belief, system of faith, Islamic modul of teaching and learning for pesantrens, Islamic sufism, to the study of the Qur'an and Hadith.Keywords: typology, works of ulema, pesantren, variety of subject, contemporary works, teachingmaterialsPesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang tertua di Indonesia. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan, pesantren memegang peranan penting dalam membangun dan memperkuat tradisi intelektual Islam. Dalam hal ini, pesantren, secara historis, dapat dianggap sebagai salah satu institusi yang efektif menghasilkan kitab. Sebagian besar yang disusun Kyai (pimpinan pesantren, figur sentral, atau ustd) biasanya ditulis dengan menggunakan huruf Arab baik dalam bahasa Jawa, Melayu, atau bahasa daerah lainnya, dan memokus pada bidang studi keis¬laman yang luas. Artikel ini berupaya membuat klasifikasi karya ulama pesantren dalam ragam tipologi yang lebih luas, yaitu bidang kajian, jenis bahasa, jenis aksara, bentuk tulisan, jenis karangan, jenis tulisan, jenis kertas, penggunaan, penerbit, sampai ke lingkup sebarannya. Penelitian deskriptif ini dilakukan melalui eksplorasi dan analisis isi terhadap karya-karya ulama pada 12 pesantren ini menyimpulkan sejumlah temuan penting. Pertama, bahwa karya-karya ulama pesantren ditulis dalam berbagai bentuk mulai dari karya asli, terjemahan, ringkasan, sarah, saduran dan nukilan. Kedua, sebagian besar karya ulama digunakan oleh masyarakat umum dan menjadi bahan ajar di pesantren. Ketiga, kitab lama dan buku kontemporer karya para ulama dan penga¬suh pesantren tersebut masih dipakai hingga kini dengan sebaran penggu¬naan beragam, mulai lingkup nasional, regional, dan lokal. Keempat, dari 276 kitab dan buku karya ulama di Yogyakarta tersebut bila ditinjau dari isinya melingkupi beragam bahasan mulai dari fikih, tauhid, akidah, akhlak, tasawuf sampai dengan kajian Al-Qur’an dan hadis.Kata Kunci: Tipologi, karya ulama, pesantren, ragam bahasan, karya kontemporer, bahan ajar

The present study aims to explore the adoption and benefits of MOOCs among the faculties of selected engineering colleges in Karnataka. A descriptive research design was deployed for the study. Two hundred copies of the structured questionnaire were distributed to collect data from the faculties of four reputed engineering colleges affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. It was found that only 67.62% of faculties were aware and hooked on the MOOCs platforms. 38.30% of the faculties made use of MOOCs for gaining knowledge, 25.53% for conducting research and 22.34% to publish contents. The study found the positive impact of MOOCs on the knowledge and carrier prospects of faculties. Lack of time and interest were the major hurdles cited by the participants in adopting MOOCs. The study provides valuable insights into the faculties of Indian higher education institutions to make use of MOOCs technology for a better experience and output for teaching and learning and also to overcome the challenges in adoption.

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the verbalization of values in the Englishlanguage popular scientific pedagogical discourse. The author provides a definition of this type of discourse, which is a set of communicative practices serving the learning process. The author proceeds from the fact that the result of such communication are texts of a popular science orientation, which in this case are the material of research. A comprehensive linguoaxiological and pragma-discourse analysis of text fragments dedicated to the processes of teaching and learning foreign languages is carried out. Special attention is paid to the axiologically loaded conceptual meanings of popular science pedagogical discourse. It is shown that the discursive behavior of representatives of an educational institution is based on such value-determined concepts as EDUCATION, LANGUAGE and CULTURE. The author of the article dwells on the linguistic mechanisms and methods of actualizing these concepts in discourse, as well as their pragmatic potential. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time, popular scientific pedagogical discourse is considered as a type of discourse that translates its own axiological attitudes. The relevance of the study is due to the need to create conditions, which enable rapid and reliable adaptation of society to the ongoing socio-economic and intercultural processes, as well as the changing criteria and requirements of personal and professional development of a person.

Leadership style is important in an organization, if a leader can adapt his leadership style to the existing situations and conditions, it can affect the performance of his subordinates. In Tanggamus Regency currently led by a woman leader, namely Dewi Handajani, different from previous periods in this period the first time Tanggamus Regency was led by a woman. Therefore, this study aims to determine the leadership style of Tanggamus Regency regional leaders and whether this leadership style affects the performance of employees in Tanggamus Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, data collection is done using interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that the leadership style used by the local leaders of Tanggamus Regency, namely the feminine leadership style tends to be transformational and the style applied is able to influence the improvement of employee performance in Tanggamus Regency.

The technique used in making this article is by collecting data related to material sourced from books, article journals, and other sources related to the science of basic concepts of educational administration and analyzing the material with the literature method which aims to help find truth from the material discussed. Administration is an educational institution which is a main source of management in regulating the teaching and learning process in an orderly manner so that the most important goal is achieved at the educational institution, where the purpose of education administration itself is to provide systematic work in managing education so that educational operational tasks can be carried out effective and efficiency towards the goals or objectives that have been set.
