Agriculture is one of the high-risk sectors of the agro-industrial complex, which operates under the influence of internal and external risks. The results of the activities of agricultural producers are directly related not only to the amount and quality of labor, the level of technology and technology used, but also to the objective high risk conditions for agricultural production. Risk research remains one of the most important modern areas of economic research. Risk studies play an important role in predicting economic development and making optimal decisions. Achieving sustainable agricultural production requires research in industry risks. It is necessary to establish a system of organizational and economic measures to reduce the negative impact of risk factors on the production and financial results of agricultural enterprises

Hardly anybody would agree that the labour market satisfactorily meets the needs of the tourism and hospitality industry (THI). The THI worldwide faces the shortage of skilled labour force and the Slovenian THI is no exception. The problem persists in spite of various recruitment measures of employers, e.g. engaging migrant workforce, student work, black market, etc. The first aim of the paper was to explore the workforce needs of the THI with an emphasis on its unmet demands. The desk research revealed the mismatch between the supply and demand of the workforce on lower levels. Since the system of the National vocational qualifications (NVQ) is presumed beneficial for deficiencies of the labour market the second aim of the article was to explore the current state of the NVQ system in Slovenia and the selection of the existing NVQs in the THI in order to find out whether the number and structure of awarded NVQ certificates improved structural imbalances on the TH labour market. The author came to the conclusion that all forms of lifelong learning might contribute to improve the qualification structure of the labour force in the country provided that the employers overcome their distrust of the credibility and quality of the NVQs.

The financial and economic activities of economic entities in modern terms require constant plans comparison with real developments. Taking into account the peculiarities of the economic situation in the country, comparing the supply and demand, analysis of financial results, etc. The development of market relations increases the responsibility and independence of enterprises in making decisions about strategy and tactics for the future. That is why, while taking substantiating management decisions the application of techniques and methods of economic and mathematical modeling is relevant. One of the types of communication between the producer and the consumer is sales volume. It directly affects the amount of costs, profits and profitability of the enterprise. Therefore, the analysis and forecasting of such an indicator is important to increase the competitiveness of economic entities. Statistical data of one of the agricultural enterprises of Poltava region are analyzed, several influential factors are highlighted. It is proposed to perform a regression analysis, develop a linear multifactor model and build an adaptive model for forecasting the volume of sales of agricultural enterprises to select the optimal model for forecasting the studied indicator for the future. The author performed calculations on the obtained models. The analysis of the obtained results confirmed model’s adequacy, so they can be used for forecasting. As a result of comparison forecasts of sales volumes at the enterprise the adaptive model is recommended for practical application as it has the best quality of the forecast and the minimum sum of deviations squares. This model giving more weight to the latest statistics provides an optimistic forecast for the future. Thus, developing economic and mathematical forecasting models will provide an opportunity to improve the operational planning of production the certain types of products, as well as allow (after receiving new statistics) to quickly change the production monthly plans. Thus, conditions will be created to improve the quality of management, increase competitiveness and ensure the stabilization of the financial state at agricultural enterprises.

The article considers directions of the agrarian modernization as presented in the four editions of the Soviet agricultural encyclopedia from the mid-1920s to the mid-1950s. On the basis of some historical examples and theoretical concepts, the author explains the scientific, ideological and political significance of encyclopedias in the formation of social knowledge and ideology; shows how during the Stalinist period, the Soviet agricultural encyclopedias passed through several successive great leaps in the representation of agrarian knowledge under the accelerated Soviet modernization; stresses the manipulative way of managing agrarian knowledge and human capital in agriculture - on behalf of the leader and ruling party. The article describes the transition from the first Soviet encyclopedia of the 1920s, which focused on the modernization of peasant Russia, to the encyclopedia of the early 1930s, which denied the importance of the peasantry and praised the projects of large-scale industrial-agricultural production; many authors of the first peasant encyclopedia were repressed. The encyclopedia of the late 1930s reflects the fight against the authors of the previous encyclopedia of the great leap and the purges in the name of the ideology of the planning-management approach in the further modernization of Soviet agriculture. The encyclopedia of the late 1940s - early 1950s reflects the victory of the technocratic-bureaucratic worldview and personnel approach to the agrarian sphere, which prevailed in the agriculture of the USSR until the very end of the Soviet era. The author focuses on the influence of the subjective factor (political leaders, editors-in-chief and anonymous authors) on the ideology, topics and style of encyclopedic articles. In conclusion, the author notes that the strong ideological control and volatile political situation distorted knowledge in the Soviet agrarian encyclopedias, which negatively affected the quality of rural human capital and largely predetermined the stagnation of rural development in the late USSR.

The work includes an analysis of the main modern challenges in the sphere of the labour force migration in Ukraine. The development of governmental regulations of labour force migration will give Ukraine a chance to improve the quality of workforce coming from abroad and to avoid the quitting of scientists by making them able to be employed in Ukraine. Also, changes in migration policy will help to decrease the unemployment rate in the country. The influence of labor force migration on the country’s economic development is also measured. The necessity of changes in governmental regulation of labor force migration in Ukraine is described in the paper. The government should make several steps to stimulate the usage of local labor force instead of cheap and unqualified foreigners by national enterprises. The first step is to provide the “quality rate” of a foreigner to be employed. The second step is the governmental support of enterprises that will act according to the mentioned rules and carefully regard the professionalism of employees. Such enterprises should receive subsidies.

Cerebrovascular diseases are a problem of the world today, and according to the forecast, the problem of the near future arises. The main risk factors for the development of ischemic disorders of the cerebral circulation include oblique and aging, arterial hypertension, smoking, diabetes mellitus and heart disease. An effective strategy for the prevention of cerebrovascular events is based on the implementation of large-scale risk control measures, including the use of antiagregant and anticoagulant therapy, invasive interventions such as atheromectomy, angioplasty and stenting. In this connection, the efforts of neurologists, cardiologists, angiosurgery, endocrinologists and other specialists are the basis for achieving an acceptable clinical outcome. A review of the SF-36 method for assessing the quality of life in patients with the effects of transient ischemic stroke is presented. The assessment of quality of life is recognized in world medical practice and research, an indicator that is also used to assess the quality of the health system and in general sociological research.
