postgraduate student, Department of Information, Library and Archival Affairs, Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, Kharkiv, Ukraine INFORMATIONAL INFLUENCE: CONCEPT AND EVOLUTION IN MODERN SCIENTIFIC IDEA The purpose of this paper is to provide an analysis of the concept of “informational impact”, its evolution in scientific idea, as well as methodological aspects of the development of information technology in the context of their connection with the phenomenon of the information impact. The methodology. The work studies this issue by examining the basic methods and principles of information studies. The results. The concept of “informational influence” can be represented as a form of influencing the consciousness of the individual, carried out using the media resource in order to change the formed assessments, opinions, beliefs, values for further transformation of its behavioral response to events. Not enough attention is paid to the informational influence as a phenomenon in the works of the scientists, because it is considered as an integral part of other definitions, and not as a separate phenomenon. It is important to note that the concept of “informational impact” as a phenomenon is almost not considered in scientific works. Most often, informational influence was an integral part of other definitions, rather than a separate process. Thus, this problem has not been considered comprehensively, and it needs additional attention of the scientific community. Informational influence, as well as the use of media resources in modern conditions are becoming an integral part of socio-political conflicts. The media and the phenomenon of informational influence itself is a tool for both the emergence and resolution of conflict situations. The conclusion about global informatization and formation of high-tech information infrastructure, and also about importance of consideration of information influence as one of tools of manipulative technologies is made. The scientific novelty. The author’s definition of the concept of “informational influence” is formulated, as well as its place as a tool of manipulative possibilities are analyzed, and also the questions of manipulative possibilities of mass media and communication are considered. The practical significance lies in the analysis of scientific and theoretical views of this matter. The phenomenon of informational influence in the context of information warfare and manipulations is considered.

In the world of virtual reality, it becomes quite difficult for the recipient of information to understand how much the image he uses, created in media reality, corresponds to the phenomenon of social reality, of which it is a reflection. The construction of media reality in the media is of particular interest for research in the field of sociology, cultural studies, psychology, linguistics, advertising, PR. The study of the genesis of media reality in the paradigm of mass media is the basis for identifying the main trends in the development of communication science. Of interest is the interdependence of the agenda and the means of influencing consumers of information used in the media. The relevance of the work is associated with the understanding that the construction of media reality turns into a media process. The allocation of priority information in the media stream becomes problematic: the consciousness of the recipient is significantly overloaded the individual does not have time to analyze the information received, but only gives him a superficial emotional assessment. The article analyses mass media materials that reflect the agenda and affect the construction of media reality. The practical significance of the study of the potential of mass media in the construction of media reality is to identify priority topics for the agenda of publications that affect the consumer of information content.

The article highlights modern approaches to defining the essence of the concept of "mediaindustry" and its composition. Mediaindustry is an essential part of the national and world economic system, which, in addition to its contributing to the creation of gross world product has a significant impact on all aspects of the individual, society and the state life as a whole. The genesis of approaches to the definition of the mediaindustry originates in the emergence of concepts of cultural and creative industries, the media of mass comunication. Despite, the concept of mediaindustry is often used, however, the definition of its essence and its components are not always clear or does not take into account current trends. Most existing modern approaches to defining the essence of the mediaindustry do not fully take into account its unique features as a phenomenon of cultural and, at the same time, economic sphere. Many definitions are have a generalized and vague approach, the lack of criteria by which the composition of the mediaindustry can be determined. Many aspects are insufficiently substantiated and debatable thats why further research in this area is necessery. A lot of factors complicate the understanding of the mediaindustry, such as the significant diversity of activities in this area, the close connection with related fields and industries and, finally, the ambiguity of interpretations of the categories of media and related cultural and creative industries. The lack of the mediaindustry clear definition, a clear list of mediaindustry composition and structure complicate research in this area. For this purpose, authors clarified the content of the concept of "mediaindustry", identified its composition and structure, developed a network model of the mediaindustry and proposed the main characteristics which allow to relate companies to the mediaindustry. The paper also describes the transformation processes occurring in the mediaindustry under the influence of technology development, changes in the processes of production, distribution and consumption of content and content itself.

The study addresses the issue of strategic communications in Ukraine’s information space. It defines strategic communications as a system of informational multi-dimensional interaction with the public on socially relevant topics through diverse mass media outlets directed at promoting national goals. Strategic communications aim at exerting influence on the individual by appealing to the freedom of speech principle and providing strong encouragement towards independent decision-making, as well as by drawing the public’s attention to socially relevant issues and the ways to approach them. Strategic communications entail the emergence of distinct strategic narratives. Therefore, gaining a better insight into strategic narratives allows determining the causes of the socially significant situation and the prospects for its resolution. The paper explores the narrative about the origin of the Ukrainians, which is steadily unfolding in the information space. This narrative represents a distinct multimodal semantic plural aimed at promoting the idea of national identity and statehood. The study has found that different versions of the strategic narrative about the origin of the Ukrainians in the Internet space have similar semantic and conceptual patterns and involve multiple narrators. At the same time, they provide varying amounts of information and commenting features, target different audiences, and, for this reason, require relevant tools of influence, namely argumentation and suggestion. Тhe methods of randomizing ideas, breaking patterns, and creating cognitive dissonance are widely used in the creolized political texts. In the context of information warfare, a powerful strategic narrative, as a rule, instigates the emergence of a counter-narrative, which has an asymmetrical structure. The struggle of narratives has become the dominant feature of modern media space.

The paper analyses the philosophical aspects of the 'religion - national mythology' synthesis. The main directions of the study are as follows: 1. Both on the individual and social plan, the orientation of the transcending universalizing power of religion could vary depending on the macro-social movements a community /or an individual/ is involved in. For the individual as for the community, religion could be a cultural position transcending ego and ethno-centrism, mono-cultural tendencies; in situations of internal differentiation and disintegration of these entities, the universalizing binding role of religion is partialized and determined by various social groups, who are often in opposition to each other due to their economic political, ethnic, psychological features; 2. This process is usually related to the invalidation of universally uniting religious-moral bonds and values and intensification of differences: power, property, doctrinal differences to a shift of the weight center from internal spiritual movements /particularly typical of mysticism, asceticism, priesthood/ on to practical social action - reformist heresies, the various practical theologies of revolution, liberation, the religious-motivated wars; 3. When reduced to an ethnic, political, or state emblem, religious affiliation to Judaism, Islam Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Protestantism has become and still remain a tool for the sacralization of military and political conflicts. In religion-motivated conflict situations, opposing parties de-sacralize their Sacred Books as their acts contradict the books' moral content; 4. The power of historical mythologies is in reverse proportion to the capacity of a nation to periodically renew its social life world - its psychological attitudes labour relations, political stereotypes; 5. In this type of situation religion is usually reduced to 'belonging', as G. Davie put it, at the expense of 'believing' and a corresponding moral behavior. The religious universe becomes thus subordinated to partial group values, instead of standing above them.

Abstract A proposed rule announced by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance describing the way statistical tests will be used in compliance reviews led to the Chamber of Commerce filing a formal Comment. The comment raises several statistical issues, including the proper analysis of stratified data and the effect of large samples on tests of significance. The Chamber correctly pointed out that simple pooling of the data into one large sample can lead to misleading conclusions, so an appropriate analysis, combining the results of statistical analyses of the individual strata into an overall estimate and statistical test is described. Both the proposal and Comment state that practical significance should be considered but do not provide a clear definition of the term, although various definitions are referred to. Two alternative approaches to evaluating the practical significance are described. One assesses the financial impact of the disparity on a typical wage earner, while the second considers the number of employees affected by the disparity and estimates the effect of the disparity on their earnings during their expected time of employment.
