Using English Pronunciation in understanding ending –s is one technique to increase the students’ competence, focusing in pronunciation, like in pronouncing ending –s. In digital era, using English Pronunciation in understanding ending –s is the common technique since the students are actively getting involved in gadget. The researchers need in evaluating students’ perception on using English Pronunciation in understanding pronunciation of ending –s. The aim of this research is to investigate students’ perception about the use of English Pronunciation in understanding ending –s. The method employed in this research was qualitative, and it was explained descriptively. The third year semester students at STBA Persada Bunda that used this English Pronunciation application in understanding ending –s were the population as well as the sample of this research. There were 10 students of STBA Persada Bunda in academic year 2018/2019 involved in this study. To collect the data, all students were asked before using English Pronunciation in understanding ending –s from online application and offline one. Then, the researchers distributed six questions related to the students’ perception of using English Pronunciation in understanding ending –s by using interview with semi structured model. The result showed that, most of the third year students were pushed to use English Pronunciation in understanding ending –s in obtaining knowledge and joyful while learning process about voiced sounds, voiceless sound, and sibilant sound. In conclusion, the research about students perception is positive response by using English Pronunciation of pronouncing ending –s.

The researcher wanted to evaluate the students’ opinion of using media of advertisements in order to get the deep description of the understanding of linguistic theory. Using media of advertisement is one of the techniques in increasing students’ understanding of linguistic matters, especially in teaching sociolinguistics, especially in politeness and gender concept. In digital era, using media of advertisement is familiar media seen by the students that is using gadget actively. The research aims at students’ perception of the use of media of advertisements in teaching sociolinguistics. The descriptive research was employed to this research. A group of students in a classroom using this media of advertisements is the population and the sample of this research. There were 10 students of the third year of STIBA Persada Bunda Pekanbaru through media of advertisement during 2017/2018 academic year. In collecting data, the students were asked to watch two videos from media of advertisements relating to politeness and gender. Then, in analysing data, the researcher used six questions relating to politeness and gender to the students by semi structured interview. The result indicated that most of the students motivated in obtaining information and enjoyed during the learning process and media of advertisement also increased their curiosity in understanding politeness and gender concepts of teaching sociolinguistics.

The aim of this research is to solve the English pronunciation problem. Besides, this research is also to know the effectiveness of using choral drill technique in teaching pronunciation. The research is conducted at SMK Karya Bahana Mandiri Bekasi, in semester two of academic year 2011/2012.  Data needed is obtain from direct and indirect observation and collaboration. In the direct observation, the data is from field observation. In the indirect one, the data is from the test result. Meanwhile in collaboration, the collaborator informs teaching and learning process through choral drill technique. Based on the data collected it is found that some students are active in pronunciation practice through choral drill technique. Further, the students have more desire and motivation to improve their pronunciation skill. Looking up the evaluation table, the pronunciation from twenty one students in three cycles can be explained; in the first cycle, there are only three students (15%) who achieve the standard of minimum score. In the second cycle, there are nine students (45%) who achieved the standard minimum score. While in the third cycle, all of them (100%) can achieve the standard minimum score. Furthermore, the writer concludes that the use of choral drill technique can be one of the appropriate approach to teach English pronunciation for the students

Elementary school level, basic skills, reading, writing and arithmetic are given on the subjects of mathematics and Indonesian language.Math and Indonesian lessons are very useful and fundamental lessons.But the condition of learning in class III SDN 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat these two subjects have not achieved maximum results.This is evident from the results of mathematics and Indonesian replication given only 10 students (42%) of 32 students the total number of students in class III SDN 07 pinang a western trunk that get the value in accordance with KKM.Berarti than 50% of students' mathematics learning results are still below minimum completeness criteria (KKM), which has been determined by the school.The KKM has been determined by the school for mathematics ≥ 60, while the Indonesian language is ≥ 65 Based on the identification and analysis of the above problems found many problems: 1) is giving task method can improve learning outcomes of mathematics to the subject of simple fractions in Class III SD Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in Academic Year 2015/2016? 2) Does the process skills approach can improve learning outcomes Indonesian Listen to the story on the subject of the third grade students of SDN 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in academic year 2015/2016? As subject in this Classroom Action research is a third grade students of SD Negeri 0 7Pinang SebatangKecamatan Tualang Siak in the academic year 201 5/201 6 with the total number of students 32 people consisting of 18 male students - male and 18 female students with ability to understand the different subjects.This study uses learning tools consisting of: syllabus, learning implementation plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKS), and further training. The conclusion that: 1) Application of the method of assignment in the learning process can improve the results of teaching and learning mathematics at third grade students of SD Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in academic Year 201 5/201 6, with the average results of students in cycle 1 reaches 63, 78 and in cycle 2 reaches 70.78. 2) Implementation other Method in the learning process can improve student Indonesian learning outcomes at third grade students in SD Negeri 07 Pinang Sebatang Barat Kecamatan Tualang in academic year 2015/2016, with the average student learning outcomes in cycle 1 reached 64.06 and in cycle 2 reaches 71.71.

Writing learning using P.O.W.E.R. strategy that occurs in the eight class of MTs Mahwil Ummiyah make innovative and inspiring learning, the students innovatively to creative study and independent, the strategy is  involving students to evaluate and revise independently who crated students in writing. The goal is the POWER method to be achieved in the writing learning effectively, to descript the students of result in the writing learning using the POWER method. The technique data analysis data reduction the researcher observe  in the field, data display to descript the result, conclusion is the verification. The result of this research can be seen in the 4 cycles of learning process. 20,5% is the students learning result  from first cycle in the second cycles out 72% in the third cycles 85% in the fourth 91%. Can conclude that students writing learning was drastic  increase. this shows that the learning process using the POWER method of students in MTs Mahwil Ummiyah successfully. The objective of this research was to improve the students’ writing ability in descriptive text through clustering technique at the tenth grade of MA Ma’arif Roudhotut Tholibin Metro in academic year 2018/2019. This research was conducted at tenth grade in second semester at MA Ma’arif Roudhotut Tholibin Metro in academic year 2017/2018. The design of this research was classroom action research (CAR). This research was applied collaborative action research, this research was done in two cycle. It  is done with; planning, acting, observation and reflecting. In collecting data, the writer uses; test,observation and questionnaire. the application of the clustering technique could improve the students’ writing ability in descriptive text. Based on the results of the observation obtained the students more understanding to make descriptive sentences, and make the descriptive sentences into a descriptive text. The activity make the student become interested to describe the pictures or object, students more active and more anthusiasm in the writing learning process. Then, in Cycle 1 students passed is 15 (60%). In cycle 2 students passes the KKM (80%). Was improved 20% in cycle 2. By this number, the researcher concludes that the minimum target of success, that is 70% of the students in a class, has been achieved in cycle 2, and from the third data we can conclude it was prove that clustering technique can positively improve the students’ writing ability in descriptive text at tenth grade of MA Ma’arif Roudhotut Tholibin Metro in academic year of 2018/2019   Keyword : Improve Student’s Writing, Descriptive Text, Clustering technique.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media gambar yang diproyeksikan untuk meningkatkankualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar menulis puisi pada siswa kelas III SD.Penelitian ini menggunakan metodePenelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SDBanyuripan yang berjumlah 16 siswa pada tahun pelajaran 2015-2016. Terdapat 4 indikator dalam penelitian ini,yaitu: (1) memperhatikan penjelasan guru tentang pembuatan puisi melalui gambar yang diproyeksikan, (2) menuliskanide puisi dengan bantuan gambar yang diproyeksikan, (3) menentukan 4 kata kunci dengan bantuagambar yangdiproyeksikan, dan (4) mengembangkan kata kunci menjadi bait puisi. Ada 4 indikator kompetensi menulis puisi,yaitu: (a) bunyi/rima, (b) diksi/pilihan kata, (c) bentuk visual, dan (d) makna. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkanpembelajaran menggunakan media gambar yang diproyeksikan lebih tinggi daripada metode ceramah. Hal ini bisadilihat pada: (1) prosentase ketuntasan menulis puisi yang lulus KKM mencapai 87,5%, (2) Kualitas proses pembelajarannaik dari 70,83% menjadi 90,62%, (3) Nilai rerata hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari 68,50 (denganmetode ceramah) menjadi 77,69 pada siklus I menjadi 81,06% pada siklus II, (4) Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalahmedia gambar yang diproyeksikan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi menulis puisi siswa, namun diperlukan tambahanaktifitas pembelajaran yang berupa: (a) latihan menebak gambar, (b) menambah daftar kosa kata, dan (c) pemberianpedoman struktur kalimat lengkap dan tak lengkap.Kata Kunci: Media gambar yang diproyeksikan, keterampilan menulis, puisi.Abstract:The purpose of this research is to describe the application of slide image media in improving the skill ofpoem writing on the third grade of Banyuripan Elementary School, Kasihan, Bantul, Jogjakarta Province.This researchwas classroom action research method using Stephen Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subject of the researchwere sixteen students in the third grade of SD Banyuripan in the academic year 2015-2016. It was handle with twocycles. There are four indicators of learning process, thatare (1) giving the teacher’s explanation about how to makea poem, (2) writing the idea of poem based on the slide’s images (3) finding the four keywords based on the slide’simages proyected, (4) developing the keywords become the poem. A good poem has four basic characteristics,included: (a) rhyme, (b) diction, (c) visual type, and (d) meaning. The analysis technique was quantitative descriptiveapproach.The concludes is the result of theresearch using slides’ images is higher than ekspository method, they are:(1) the percentage of class competenceon poem writing over KKM (minimum competences) is 87,5%. It is higher thanthe first cycle that was 50%, (2) the quality of learning process increased from 70,83% to 90,62%. (3) the averageclassscore increased from 68,50 (using ekspository method) became 77,69% at first cycle to 81,06% at second cycleusing slide’s images proyected media, (4) the research findings is to increase the students’ capability on writing poemis required three adding activities, those are: (a) excercises for guessing picture’s content, and (b) providing vocabularies,(c) providing grammer guide, complete and uncomplete structure.Keywords: Slide’s images projected media, writing skill, poem.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respons mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis Guided discovery pada mata kuliah Anatomi dan Fisiologi Makhluk Hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif kuantitatif dengan sasaran sebanyak 46 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan IPA semester IV tahun akademik 2018/2019 yang dilaksanakan pada perkuliahan Anatomi dan Fisiologi Makhluk Hidup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa respons mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis Guided discovery pada mata kuliah Anatomi dan Fisiologi Makhluk Hidup termasuk dalam kategori kuat. Kata Kunci: aktivitas, respons, guided discovery   Abstract This research aimed at describing the students’ response toward Guided discovery learning in Anatomy and Physiology of Organisms lecture. It included a quantitative-qualitative descriptive study which involved 46 students of Science Education Department on the 4th semester, in the academic year of 2018/2019 as the subjects. Findings obtained in this study indicated that students showed positive response toward the learning process. To conclude, the students’ response toward Guided discovery learning in Anatomy and Physiology of Organisms lecture can be categorized as strong criteria. The research about the balancing of redox reaction on chemistry subject has been done. This research was conducted on class XII IPA8 SMA Negeri 2 Palu with 28 of the student, in the first semester of the academic year 2014-2015. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative in which data processing use percentages and rating scale. The data is collected by observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. Implementation of lesson study on class XII IPA8 SMA Negeri 2 Palu is conducted in three meetings time (open class) with 3 phases; plan, do and see, respectively. Based on the results obtained every meeting by the researcher, the data activity of students is rising by 54.93, 59.86, and 74.30%. Furthermore, at the third meeting, the data obtained is an excellent category which means the student’s activity in the lesson study was increased. These prove that through the lesson study can increase the activity of the learning process of students. In addition, based on the data analysis of the student’s learning outcomes during three meeting times is increased. Average of completeness of student’s learning outcomes of every meeting is 67.85, 85.71, and 100%, respectively. Again, these prove that the student’s learning outcomes by classical can be increased through the lesson study.

This research was aimed at finding out how the native language interfere the English pronunciation and to identify the native language sounds that interfere the English pronunciation of the third semester of English Department students of IKIP Mataram in the academic year 2013/2014. This research was a qualitative research. The subjects of this research were the third semester of English Department students of IKIP Mataram in the academic year 2013/2014 that were selected based on certain category. The data was collected through observation and analyzed through some steps namely (1) transcribing the data, (2) reducing the data, (3) displaying the data that have been reduced and then drawing and verifying conclusion. Based on the result of data analysis it can be concluded that the native language interfere the students’ English pronunciation automatically when the English words sounds that they produced do not exist in their mother tongue. The researcher found some native language sound that interfere their English pronunciation, such as:  vowel sound: /E/ for /Ï/, /a/ for /ɑÉ/, /I/ for /iÉ/, /«/ for /äÉ/, /U/ for /uÉ/, /a/ and /«/, for /ɑ/. Where as in consonant are: /p/ for /f/, /t/ for /T/ and /D/, and /s/ for /ʃ/.

This study aims to determine the appropriateness of ethnomatematics-based e-modules that explore Islamic values and culture in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This type of research is a research and development method using the Borg and Gall model. Through these stages of development, a major product is produced in the form of e-modules based on ethnomatematics that explore Islamic values and culture. Subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 4 Purworejo 2019/2020 Academic Year. The instrument used in this study was an assessment sheet by material experts, media experts, cultural experts, atomathematics experts, student questionnaires and evaluation test questions. The results obtained were a feasibility test through a questionnaire conducted by material experts, media experts, cultural experts and ethnomatematics experts meeting valid criteria with an average of 3.63. Ethnomatematics-based e-Modules that explore Islamic values and culture meet practical criteria with an average of 3.11 and show the level of practicality with good criteria. Ethnomatematics-based e-modules that explore the values and culture of Islam meet the effectiveness criteria by giving a very positive response with a percentage of 91% of the learning process and showing the completeness of student learning reaches 92% complete. These data indicate that the e-modules developed in this study are categorized as feasible to use reaching 92% complete. The data shows that the e-modules developed in this study are categorized as suitable for use.
